I am really sorry and worried that you guys werent successful at the exams. I do not believe the problem came from your not preparing enough, I am particularly sure the problem emanated from not studying the right materials and specific topics and knowledge areas the exams mostly concentrate on.

I am a certified PMP and it took me little time to study, prepare and pass the exams. Since I have made it a business to sell the study materials to other people for their certifications courses, I thought it nice, if I bagged the certifications to.

I am a trainer & consultant and I specifically will tell you where you should read. The PMBOK 4th ed is enough work & headache on its own and there are other additional books to add to that, so to make your reading less cumbersome and more rewarding, you should study only the relevant materials, take more than enough exam prep tests and then go take your exams again.

Send me a PM and I will personally take you guys ( just the two of you and for free) through the process I used in studying and passing my exams under 2mths.

The Thread is meant for only certified PMPs to meet, know ourselves, synergise and also see how the project management body of knowledge can further be harnessed in projectising activities and procesess done in Nigeria.

As certified PMPs, we know that a projectised organisation will mostly get the job done and leave the functional manager to continue with the processes that cannot be implemented as projects.

I am of a strong belief that there are a lot of processes being presently done that can be implemented as projects and that will generate a successful closeout phase. It will better improve the way things are done in this side of the world.

What was the exam taking experience like and did you do an audit.

I have been through the various threads on project management and I thought it nice that we have a separate thread for those that are currently certified. The thread purpose will be for us to discuss issues on Project Management and also meet ourselves.

Your mention of risk and migitation for Nigerian projects really made me laugh. The system is BENT and you as a project professional will Straighten it.

I believe that as more of our activities are projectised, the more the Functional guys and stakeholders/sponsors begin to appreciate the authority they place on the project managers and their teams.

I am of very strong belief that Project Management will very much change the way things are done in this country. We need first for government to accept this methodologies by implementing them in the conduct of projects for the nation and things will surely get better.

This discovery is another ''open fowl yansh'' you just exposed. Does Omatek have servers running online24/7 hosting their utility softwares.

Will someone who bought their laptop and relocated to the UK have to return back to their lagos office in Nigeria just to have the drivers reinstalled should anything happen to his utility CD.

I expect Omatek to have the utility rebranded to their name just the same way  they have rebranded the name of the hardware from china,    to omatek.

When People search for omatek utilities online, they will type 'Omatek sound', or 'omatek wireless card' and so on,

I hope Zinox understands this as it will be too bad for our Nigerian brands, the likes of Omatek and Zinox not to measure up in this regard.

There is no gain saying,  that the 1st world have more advanced technology in this area you just mentioned. It would be waste of time & energy to try to reinvent the wheel expecially when it is been giving away for free to anyone who wants it.

If your system is branded then its easy for you to search for the driver online especially if you know the model of the brand. However if you are using an IBM compartible system otherwise known as unbranded systems ( or no name according to otigba boys), all you need to do if you dont have the board driver, is to open up your system and search on the mother board,  you will see the make and driver series of the sound if it is an onboard sound.

If it is a card, then you will find the driver name on the PCI or ISA (    ) card. 

Simple and straight. If you dont get it,  then get me and i will see what to do for you!.

You need to remember when this problem started, checkuot your Hdd space, RAM usage and CPU temperature.

I will suggest you start with a recovery process, go to accessories-system tools-recovery and try to recover to previous date.

I suspect the handy work of a virus but it could be anythin at all, Moreso since if systems dont hang, the engineers wont eat!

For Free antivirus, I will say AVG is the best I have seen so far. Kapersky would be at number 1 for licensed antiviruses.

Norton & Panda are a pain in the neck free or licensed;

to install, stress, to uninstall, Palava.

If you have experienced uninstalling Panda or Norton be4 , you will know what am talking about,

Macafee is the quiet but quality performer, doesnt make noise but works very effectively.!

The AVG has a free version, which I use for most of my clients and they never complain of attacks. The AVG is so simple and works seemlessly with all applications, It doesnt eat up your memory like some other antiviruses. It installs easily and updates automatically like most other antiviruses.

The truth be said. CMS is still the best bet, tis not easy to be using old age to learn codes.

How many programming languages do u want to learn. As you are writing a code in one laguage, you will come to learn again that your work will be better if you used another language, and all that.

CMSes have made the job easier, all you need to do is customise to fit your requirements.

I am fully aware that there 4options (A-D)in every question.

My post said, 'sending you practice/mock questions' and I'm sure if you went through the docs itself , you will see it tagged 'MOCK questions' (, which can come in any form), what else do u want, ?. What has 4 or 5 options got to do with this other than to try rubbish my claims, ?.

I only gave that out to affirm that I have a database load of the materials in question.
