LIE. She will blast your JAMB with at least 290 or just a bit lower!! Yes, I know.

I want to believe that you are old enough to understand what I have said is true.

Cambridge A level is way higher than JAMB. Cambridge A level tests 100, 200 and some 300 level work in a great depth. JAMB does not.

Let me give you an assignment - go and look for both past questions and judge for yourself. If you can't find, let me know. I will search and send to you when I have time.

I have taught at both levels, so I know. Sorry JAMB is hard for some Nigerians, but JAMB is cake compared to Cambridge A levels.

Hi, let's be adults and civil. You can't be opening mouth and calling another person mumu for having their well-reasoned views.

That said, some of us don't need people to love us for us to love them. I'm sure you know not everyone believes in ''treat people the way they treat you''. If you believe that, well, that is your belief. All persons can't think or believe that.

Well, Cambridge A levels is 10 times harder than JAMB..Most people taking JAMB will get D and E in Cambridge A levels or even fail and that includes me 16-17 years ago. Only the very top JAMB takers will have a chance with Cambridge A levels. I know because I have taught at all these levels

So it is not ordinary..

and that is why i kicked out messi n ronaldo from world cup.
cos blacks no go get name again.
make we hold something for hand.
a black man is the greatest in boxing, track and field, football, WTA tennis, na so dem scatter michael jackson record, and tiger woods
blacks must hold those records.

You're still saying this your white and black argument from the other post. You no dey tire? What stops every color from having name? Abi George Weah no get name? Does another person having name mean others won't have name? Are you one of those who view life as ''if he succeed, I must fail, or he needs for fail for me to succeed''? Mhen, bro, that is not healthy thinking. Do you think if everybody continue to think this way, including the Oyinbo you are talking about, the world will progress? Of course, I respect your opinions, everyone has one. I just wonder how you will secretly approach things in real life. I can't even begin to imagine.

But I agree with you on your first few sentences. Because someone is a Muslim does not mean he is no more an African. I also agree with some of the other things you added..But not all North Africans think like that. There are even Christians among them too.

One of my Ghanaian friend who is a brother and fellow researcher told me that a Nigerian once said he was sad that Ghana lost in 2010 but happy at the same time that Ghana did not get to set a record of semifinals at the world cup that no other African country has set. As in, really? Wow. Imagine when me and many other Africans were seriously rooting for our African brothers and saddened by their loss, one person was in one corner jubilating.Crazy. The Bible says the heart of man is desperately wicked, who can know it. This verse cannot be truer...

That pull down mentality is very common among people, unfortunately.

First class is overrated
currently on first class but work for a guy in my level who is on 2.2 to make ends meet. The guy is a tech genius, taught himself programming and is a five star seller making loads of cash off fiverr. Paper cert is worthless, develop yourself outside the classroom.

I disagree with you, young man. Yes, it is a must to develop yourself and all, but paper certificate is NOT worthless anywhere in the world. I have seen enough from ALL sides of life to know that you are WRONG on this. I cannot begin to tell you the number of excellent students whose grades gave them an edge and who went on to do great things. If it is monetary matters you are talking about, there are many first class people who are doing well. That grade alone opens doors for people. Yes, it still does..Thank God I am anonymous here, so I can say things. By meeting people here who graduated with first class degrees, I have picked an interest in them and guided them to get full scholarships abroad, all things fully paid. And I met these people on nairaland and became interested in them because they are bright and have grades to prove it. I didn't know them before.

I know several first class people in Nigeria earning 50+ million naira per year from their jobs 13 years after leaving school. I know of first class people here whose total compensation runs near 300K dollars per annum...Several others in Nigeria and elsewhere who have even started their own gig and were able to do this because they were good AND their top grades opened doors for them earlier in their career. I also know of a number of people who were really good, but got bad grades. You know what? Their bad grades worked against them. Yes, they did.

Congrats in advance for your first class. Try to maintain it and graduate with it. Don't deceive yourself. But, yes, develop yourself heavily in other marketable areas..

I've taken time to type you this so you don't go and nogere and deceive yourself and join the bandwagon of "first class is useless". No, it is not. Get it and see, put yourself out there and you will see what will happen to you. Of course, good grades are not a sufficient condition for success in life, just as bad grades are not a sufficient condition for failure in life. However, it is always important to note that whatever is worth doing is worth doing excellently well.

I leave you now..

The truth is not all African players are demotivated when earn huge pays in Europe.
But the World cup is not a tournament only professionals but for even hungry amateurs too.

Did you know that one of the south korean players who defeated Germany is a policeman by profession.

My submission is simple. Hunger for glory must be Number pre-requisite for taking any player to the world not the leagues where they play in Europe. No matter how good a player is, if he is not motivated he won't deliver. Most Europe based players are not hungry.

I read an interview Romelu lukaku granted where he said that he became a deadly striker because his mother could only afford them bread bought on credit. Whenever he goes on the field to play in Belgium as a youth he remembers the rats running around in their house, the lack of food at home, the discrimination against him as a black man he becomes angry, fights and scores hat tricks.

That's a proper case of hunger as a motivator. Iheanacho was the deadliest youth striker in the world as a young hungry boy just a few years ago, he has made money today and the source of motivation is no longer there. He can't even properly lift his fattened laps to kick the ball.

Let look for hungry boys who want to shine. There source of motivation is still there, we should use their hunger to our advantage.

Do you agree that such hungry boys can be found anywhere and that they are not only 'home-based' as some are claiming?

Bro, African players were the poorest paid in the 80s and early 90s, even the clubs usually refused to disclose publicly how much they pay their African players until FiFa stepped in.

One of the issues Yekini had with Victoria setubal was money issues. He was made to sign a contract written in Portuguese in 1994 for peanuts when he discovered he signed an 'enslavement' contract. It became an issue.

Chief, we must work with evidence-based conclusions. Based on this, provide evidence on how African players were the poorest paid.

Otherwise, how can I agree with you when there is no empirical evidence?

I am not disputing your submission. For the super eagles of 1994 most of them got contract to play in Europe when the won the 1994 AFCON
in January that same year, few months later they were playing in the world cup. My submission was that..

1.) African player were not well paid in Europe compared with their European counterparts.

2) The hunger was still there. Few months between Jan '94 AFCON glory and June '94 world cup final is not significant enough to douse motivation.

Ighalo have been earning millions in naira years before he played this world cup where he simply went for fashion parade and to see him self on stadium TV screens. The source of his motivation is no longer there. So why would he perform?

I just hope you get my point.

I agree with your point number 2. Any evidence to back point number 1?

Yekini moved to Victoria setubal from Africa after performing at the 1994 world cup.

Morever the few African players in Europe were paid peanuts as at then. So the hunger was still there.

Majority of the 1994 super eagles were largely based at home in Africa.

So, your absolute statement is wrong.

Yes, there were many home based, but see this to learn.

African teams need to go back to the drawing board and give their hungry home based players a chance at international competitions.

Most of their Europe-based players are not usually hungry and the responsibility to perform is too huge for them.

African performed better at the world stage when they when with homebased hungry players Roger milla, Yekini, amokachi, Diouf, Diop and co.
