obynorecz: LIE. She will blast your JAMB with at least 290 or just a bit lower!! Yes, I know. I want to believe that you are old enough to understand what I have said is true. Cambridge A level is way higher than JAMB. Cambridge A level tests 100, 200 and some 300 level work in a great depth. JAMB does not. Let me give you an assignment - go and look for both past questions and judge for yourself. If you can't find, let me know. I will search and send to you when I have time. I have taught at both levels, so I know. Sorry JAMB is hard for some Nigerians, but JAMB is cake compared to Cambridge A levels. |

kolawoleibukun2: See, your post just sounds somehow. Do you even know me to make the sweeping statements that you make? You are unbelievable. That was how one nairalander last year said I wanted to eat people's money by telling them I have opportunities for them. Wow. Who told you I idolize Mo Salah? Mhen, I no get same energy with you. We're different people. You don't know me and I don't know you. |

kolawoleibukun2: Hi, let's be adults and civil. You can't be opening mouth and calling another person mumu for having their well-reasoned views. That said, some of us don't need people to love us for us to love them. I'm sure you know not everyone believes in ''treat people the way they treat you''. If you believe that, well, that is your belief. All persons can't think or believe that. |

faithesco: Well, Cambridge A levels is 10 times harder than JAMB..Most people taking JAMB will get D and E in Cambridge A levels or even fail and that includes me 16-17 years ago. Only the very top JAMB takers will have a chance with Cambridge A levels. I know because I have taught at all these levels So it is not ordinary.. Though I agree with you that it makes zero sense for her to take her life. |

ekenzify: Of course now...Or why do you think I want to take my Nephew to Olympic Marseille youth academy? The small thousand I am going to spend cannot be compared to the millions the boy will make. I am believing he will succeed because when I look at my family and his father's family, that physique and football sense is there...Lol. That £200,000 is what my oga, with 29 years work experience, earns in a year... lol |

DONADAMS: The person you're replying, his argument too is not different from the argument that you said weakened you...He is happing that Oyinbo no break record so that black man go keep am (shake my head), you are complaining that some people elevated one religion over the other in football. Abi you see my point. Which day religion and race go stop to be our criteria? Na wah |
Sports / Re: Mohamed Salah Signs New Liverpool Contract Deal by baum1: 12:34pm On Jul 02, 2018 |
kolawoleibukun2: You're still saying this your white and black argument from the other post. You no dey tire? What stops every color from having name? Abi George Weah no get name? Does another person having name mean others won't have name? Are you one of those who view life as ''if he succeed, I must fail, or he needs for fail for me to succeed''? Mhen, bro, that is not healthy thinking. Do you think if everybody continue to think this way, including the Oyinbo you are talking about, the world will progress? Of course, I respect your opinions, everyone has one. I just wonder how you will secretly approach things in real life. I can't even begin to imagine. But I agree with you on your first few sentences. Because someone is a Muslim does not mean he is no more an African. I also agree with some of the other things you added..But not all North Africans think like that. There are even Christians among them too. One of my Ghanaian friend who is a brother and fellow researcher told me that a Nigerian once said he was sad that Ghana lost in 2010 but happy at the same time that Ghana did not get to set a record of semifinals at the world cup that no other African country has set. As in, really? Wow. Imagine when me and many other Africans were seriously rooting for our African brothers and saddened by their loss, one person was in one corner jubilating.Crazy. The Bible says the heart of man is desperately wicked, who can know it. This verse cannot be truer... That pull down mentality is very common among people, unfortunately. |

Tinoasprilla: That's my point. He was good. These clubs will not buy a foreigner wey no good. Never! No be EPL? Yes, they can take their own average English player. But foreigner, lol. You must good. Yobo was great in his days, and I think it is unfair to start comparing him to Nigeria greats of 1990's. People do this a lot. 5 years ago, one guy dey hail me say I don try well for certain things, etc. I come say thank you. Na so one guy wey dey there come dey tell me say so, so so and so better pass me, lol. I was shocked. As in, what necessitated that? Lol. Anyway, humans for you. |

ChiefAzubuike: Guy, make I ask you question: Yobo ever talk say he better pass or near those brosses wey you mention? Na wah oo. Why compare when person never overstep? All of them dey great for their different generations, both for super eagles and for club. If yobo bad, no club for look him side. Abi the clubs too stupid? Meanwhile, big respect to those olden days defenders you just named. They were solid indeed. Uche Okechukwu was great mhen. Iroha too and Uche Okafor. E pain me say Italy beat us that faithful afternoon. 24 years later, e still dey pain me. Respect to Yobo. All those that said he is in his mid 40's lol. Abi una don see him mama. This mama no go pass 60, so Yobo cannot be mid 40's as some want us to believe! |
Education / Re: Why It Is Difficult To Graduate With First-class In Nigeria by baum1: 5:12am On Jul 01, 2018 |
tzoracle: I disagree with you, young man. Yes, it is a must to develop yourself and all, but paper certificate is NOT worthless anywhere in the world. I have seen enough from ALL sides of life to know that you are WRONG on this. I cannot begin to tell you the number of excellent students whose grades gave them an edge and who went on to do great things. If it is monetary matters you are talking about, there are many first class people who are doing well. That grade alone opens doors for people. Yes, it still does..Thank God I am anonymous here, so I can say things. By meeting people here who graduated with first class degrees, I have picked an interest in them and guided them to get full scholarships abroad, all things fully paid. And I met these people on nairaland and became interested in them because they are bright and have grades to prove it. I didn't know them before. I know several first class people in Nigeria earning 50+ million naira per year from their jobs 13 years after leaving school. I know of first class people here whose total compensation runs near 300K dollars per annum...Several others in Nigeria and elsewhere who have even started their own gig and were able to do this because they were good AND their top grades opened doors for them earlier in their career. I also know of a number of people who were really good, but got bad grades. You know what? Their bad grades worked against them. Yes, they did. Congrats in advance for your first class. Try to maintain it and graduate with it. Don't deceive yourself. But, yes, develop yourself heavily in other marketable areas.. I've taken time to type you this so you don't go and nogere and deceive yourself and join the bandwagon of "first class is useless". No, it is not. Get it and see, put yourself out there and you will see what will happen to you. Of course, good grades are not a sufficient condition for success in life, just as bad grades are not a sufficient condition for failure in life. However, it is always important to note that whatever is worth doing is worth doing excellently well. I leave you now.. 6 Likes 1 Share |

I'm sure you already knew this. You're making a generalization that you have not backed. Is that how it works? |
