Alusman:Many people are still ignorant about the benefits of studying math..One of the greatest decision some of us made, from a purely financial point of view, was that we studied math, statistics or a combination of these . It sounds stupid, but that's the truth.I want to mentor this young man. I hope somebody can help with that |
ncpat:As in, we should shelve our recruitment process and send you an email allocating you a task? That's possible but will only happen if you've progressed to the next stages.. The application procedure is spelt out in the OP. |
kayvinci:Can you confirm the mail was sent? A similar email has been responded to. Not sure if you are the person |
CastedDude:OP, please do all you can to link me with this student. Thanks |
CastedDude:OP, this one will go far. I'm also excited by the fact that he wants to read math. In my mind, that is the best course for later studies requiring quantitative skills, be the studies in engineering, finance, economics, analytic business, etc. I want to mentor this guy. This is the sort of young chap I have been looking for. Please, if you can, have him be in touch with me. My email is baumtenpers@gmail.com. I will also check the link myself. |

emmasege:Guy, don't feel hurt if you be zoology graduate. He is not saying it's cheap...He is saying even someone that studied a far far unrelated course can be trained to do that guy's job..And he buttressed it using zoology. Of course everyone knows zoology requires some talent to excel well in it..All those botanical names wey hard die |
emmasege:Guy, leave dem there make dem dey say my pikin must play ball. Of all the talented players near me or near those near me, only one made it.. If the pikin show ball talent, of course let him play...Otherwise they will use their hand to ruin their pikins..That won't be their portion |
Tonymony:Guy, you funny...You think Yakubu would have gotten to top flight football and excel without being very good? You make me laugh. You are judging him with one mistake. That dude played in top flight premier league. He was the hitman of his club..You think they just give that role to an average joe, lol |
oshe11:Guy, trainer or teacher no need to be the best in their days...Did Mourinho play for Barca? |
lukman:Indeed Lukma, amazes me how some of us just mouth 'my pikin must play ball'..What happens if the pikin turns out being a below-average football player? What would the person do? For me sha, I go encourage kids to play football, read book at respectable places and then we see which will take them far. We only hear of the microscopic few such as Neymar, Iheanach, C-Ronaldo, Messi, etc..Do we know of the thousands that didn't even make it at all? Of all the people we played with, watched, etc, only Yusuf Ayila made it to the top...And yes, there were other talented people like him, but them no even smell Stationary stores |

LastMumu:I think it has more to do with his game plans. The guy sometimes didn't use Ronaldinho in the glory days of Barca. This didn't happen to Eto'o or Yaya alone in Barca.. Now at City, he still uses yaya whenever his game plans require him. |
safarigirl:Madam, I disagree with you. I won't really call him racist against Africans. All the things you stated, Ronaldinho also faced them. And we agree Ronaldinho was top top, like Eto'o too. I think it has to do with his game plans than with individuals. If he thinks a player suits his plans, he features the player.. |

greatman247:I didn't see this your post when I posted mine. The fact he played for the highlighted clubs means he was good. Who buys a mediocre from Russia? Or by that guy's argument, did his complexion also help him move from Russia to UK? Mhen, if one keeps responding to some perspectives on nairaland, person go wear out |
NwaAmaikpe:Yes, he was not the exceptional one, but he wasn't bad. He wasn't bad ooh bro. You think say premier league go sign bad player from Russia? In his peak, he was good. Everybody no go be exceptional. |
ExpensiveG:Some of you guys are really so young. Is 50 old? Go to the gym and challenge the first 50 years old man you see to a 100 press ups in 3 minutes and see who will almost faint. 50 is mid age, not old |
LordIsaac:Yes, it's good, but bro, if we think like this, who will go for our sisters aged 28 and above?? 38 years bro and above. Many of those are already papas |
TijaniAbu:Guy, I won't talk hard, I would just address this your point. To begin, you're not correct. I hope you will have the wisdom to accept this. A PhD is a necessary but not a sufficient requirement to become a professor. There are professors around the world without a PhD. Some people become profs without having done a PhD degree. One of my professors, at the time aged 35, was a full professor of economics at a university founded in 1868, 149 years ago. He was a professor when his colleagues with a PhD were lecturers, senior lecturers and associate profs..Some of these people are way, way his senior, as in big brother or even uncle sef. In his case, the distinguishing factor was his exceptional publication, research publication in very top journals. In fact, he was getting offers from neighbouring universities to come and become a professor there, but he turned them down. If anyone argues this, I will reveal the person. So, oga, a prof without PhD is not fake..If anything, such people are exceptional. To bring this home to what we all are familiar with, the only academic Nobel prize winner is Africa, Professor Wole Soyinka, does not have an academic PhD. In your wisdom, he too is academically fake. Lol. Bro, many things are possible in this life. If only some of us can open our minds..One of the things I have learned in my 30's is to be very, very open minded and slow to form opinions. So far, it has paid off |
. It sounds stupid, but that's the truth.
