whiteroses: lol @ the person that says naija parent makes their kids call each other auntie/brother if they are older than each other, my parent were quite easy going and we call each other names but i rem my cousins call their elders auntie, so when they visit and they call us auntie we'd laugh at them so hard till they are embarassed, and we'd say call us by our names but it'll sound heavy in their mouth lol who made that culture anyway auntie ko I see nothing wrong in calling your elders auntie or brother but it seems abused with the whole "I'm i your mate" mentality some Nigerians have. |

L ate last year, Congress agreed to a request from President Bush to fund a major escalation of covert operations against Iran, according to current and former military, intelligence, and congressional sources. These operations, for which the President sought up to four hundred million dollars, were described in a Presidential Finding signed by Bush, and are designed to destabilize the country’s religious leadership. The covert activities involve support of the minority Ahwazi Arab and Baluchi groups and other dissident organizations. They also include gathering intelligence about Iran’s suspected nuclear-weapons program.

Gekko: So,at what point does it end? How can we turn the pages? Things can't continue like this forever. it has to start with their education and the media, what are school children in the north being taught and what do they listen to on their local radios or in the mosque? Like they do in Europe, The Nigerian government may need to start spying on mosques. |
Politics › Re: Nigeria Classified Amongst 14 Terrorist Nations - CNN by bawomolo(m): 9:49pm On Jan 05, 2010 |
countries like the UK and France are not on the list (even though they have their own sickos) because the US believes they can manage the problem. Can you trust the Nigerian government which claimed not to know Ribadu was in the country to curb terrorism? You also forget the UK is america's bingo and deserves passes from time to time |
Politics › Re: Placing Nigeria On A Terror List A Foolish Move by bawomolo(m): 9:45pm On Jan 05, 2010 |
Cry me a river. it's funny how mutallab is now a Briton (ignoring his ancestry while focusing on his birthplace). You guys would be claiming him up and down if he was a noble prize winner. Nigerian has earned the right to be a country of concern thanks to its long history of inter ethnic/religious warfare. We (future of this country) need to come together as one and let America know that we are peaceful people who do not have time to plan evil things against other countries. yes Odi village, boko haram etc never happened. |

Politics › Re: Lasting Solution To Islamic Extremism by bawomolo(m): 9:37pm On Jan 05, 2010 |
Gekko: I agree wholeheartedly. And this can only work if political and religious leaders of the North start being honest with their counterparts. They need to demystify their message and stop spreading fears and fantasies to individuals in the North. but that's what gets votes in countries like Nigeria and kenya. It pays them to keep Nigerians ignorant. |
Politics › Re: Lasting Solution To Islamic Extremism by bawomolo(m): 9:35pm On Jan 05, 2010 |
violent: well said
But how do you achieve a secular education when people preach, and fight against it? I also don't believe poverty is a common cause, there is poverty in the south as well, Umar the leg bomber was not poor, and yet i believed before he was apprehended he probably preached extremism too doesn't the south have groups such as MEND,massob, opc etc who used poverty/marginalization as an excuse for violence? We need to stop singling out the north as if the south is that much better. We would continue to have religious extremism if religions leaders preach intolerance and call each other infidels or unbelievers. |
Politics › Re: America Needs a Reality Check! by bawomolo(m): 9:27pm On Jan 05, 2010 |
Afam: Unfortunately, we have shameless Nigerians that will not only justify the US actions but will support them even if such actions will subject them to inhuman treatment. Installing body scanners in airports is definitely inhumane. You guys are something else, The US has the right to protect its border even if it means inconveniencing travelers (yes that includes searching your balls) |
Politics › Re: Lasting Solution To Islamic Extremism by bawomolo(m): 9:22pm On Jan 05, 2010 |
the only solution to such extremism is secular education and poverty alleviation.
what does yemen and nigeria have in common? poverty and illiteracy. It would be wrong to attack Islam considering Islamic countries like turkey are peaceful. The constitution must be enforced at all costs, sharia law shouldn't be allowed to exist in a so-called secular country. |

Deep Sight: Tudor, i have no business with the OP, but let me just say as a diversion that i have worked in Kenya and Uganda, and i can comfortably state that they are a slightly different lot than west africans in terms of the generality of their skin. . .
Now the truth is historically eastern and southern african people have been subject to greater inter-race mixing than many west africans, so you can detect a slight deviation from pure negroid in many (not all o) of them.
I also read a report of a study of gene pools in Africa and it was found that west africans as a group are probably the only core and generally unspoilt negoroes in the african continent as at today.
These are not fixed facts, but only very brodd generalistic observations which i think contain some truth as i have been extensively in east and south africa.
As to black jews i dont know anything about that, but there were trade relations in the past - Egypt/ Ethiopa etc. lol@unspoilt, there were cases of mixing going on in west africa especially in the french colonies. I guess being mixed means you are spoilt. You guys are something else. |

No2Atheism: do you mean they don come as in I am lying
or
do you mean they don come as in you are hearing that for the first time. . .
I would appreciate that you clarify. It just amazes me when folks try to paint things as either black or white. Using modern day racial classifications to rewrite history is just strange to me. You can go on with your Afrocentric propaganda though. why can't jews just be jews and egyptians be egyptians? |
