Christianity EtcRe: Tudor's Treatise by bawomolo(m): 6:58pm On Nov 30, 2009
Let me set something straight, I slept overnight in a cemetary and stream when I was in boarding school. It was a combination of a dare and I personally wanted to experience the "supernatural".

Since I was in a mission school we had several guys and girls who during holy ghost/miracle service fessed up to be mermaids or witches (some of them while convulsing). They always claimed to be having meetings at night at the cemetary not too far from school or the stream right around the vicinity and anyone who encounters them would be dead.

Due to my skepticism (which I let every damn soul know) I was dared to go spend a night in each place. . .This I did and found nothing extra ordinary. Several years down the line I'm still alive.

My curiosity also took me to some self styled occultic group. . . I just found out they like all religions are a bunch of jokers who use fear as their main tool of enslavement. There I was also threatened with death if I leave. I did leave and beat up high priest too. I'm still kicking
lol you have the time to entertain these folks. what does this occultic group believe in

Because stupid, i dont see any of you fools bawling on the islamic threads about allah's existence or not. I dont see any of you foaming in the mouth trying to explain why Ifa doesnt exist. Because i notice the only religious book you all deal with is the bible . . .
I guess you missed the posts where i engaged the likes of deepsight, olabowale and abuzola. I've even supported deleting the islamic section. I've argued against the existence of juju in the politics section.

You are obviously defensive when it comes to Christianity. This persecution complex of yours is sickening. Keep up with your usual insults though.

There is ample evidence from you and others that atheism is PRIMARILY a state of being in permanent, violent, revulsive conflict SPECIFICALLY with the God of the bible.
why solely the God of the bible and not God(s) in general?

wirinet:
Because he was born and bread into Christianity and never really stopped being a Christian, he was only angry and was getting back at God until he realized it was a fruitless exercise.
basically he became atheist for the wrong reasons.

I mean if ( and I mean a gynormous IF) it happens as described above, then we should all accept that ALL Nigerians(Not matter where they reside) are FOOLS and nothing more! We are talking of a nation of over 140 million people here.
I know right, why would anyone vote in James Ibori as VP?
PoliticsRe: As Yar'adua Prepares To Exit The Stage, Power Play For Aso Rock Heats Up by bawomolo(m): 6:21pm On Nov 30, 2009
Late last night, the Abuja pro-Yar’Adua group sent an emissary directly to Jeddah to meet with Yar’Adua in the hospital. The group comprises three persons: Yar’Adua’s son-in-law, Isah Yuguda, businessman Aliko Dangote, and the governor of Kwara State, Bukola Saraki. They arrived in Jeddah but our source said a face-to-face meeting had not taken place by the close of today. Isah Yuguda is being positioned to become Jonathan’s VP in case Yar’Adua resigns.
Interesting. It seems the Saraki's now see themselves as Northerners.

Fhemmmy:
I have confessed few times that i am not too knowledgeable when it comes to Jonathan, but according to the law, the VP will assume power just in case the president can`t continue with his duty.
Now if Jonathan is clueless, there is still no choice . . . . or if you were the VP and someone else is chosen to replace your head while u alive, would u let it happen without a fight?
Does Goodluck have the fight in him? Ibime and his boys are waiting for the Go signal cheesy

It's a pity that she was raped, and she has refused to stand up, the downfall of a man or woman is not the end of the world .

Most of the babes that are raped are the architect of there own downfall, imagine a girl wearing a skimpy dress at nite walking in a dark place, where there is a possibility of her meeting touts who could moless or rape her.

Some men can't control themselves when they see a lady putting on such dress, there eyes are full of lust for the girl.

Advice to all girls
Watch what you where and were you trend at nite . Never walk alone walk in the company of a guy you trust or a lady .
i don't get it, men are given the freedom to not control themselves?

what about the men who assault young girls. were they wearing skimpy dresses too?

well George should have though about that before handling two wars at one time.

Again sorry for your lost but that is NOT a reason to become an atheist. . . .People face a lot of tragedy ALL the time. . .There are MANY stories of christian missionaries who died in ghastly motor accidents on their way to evangelize and were burnt beyond recognition all over the internet. . .Atheism is not being a state of anger with god/gods but a lack of belief in god/gods. . .Keep up your new faith if that will give you the happiness you need. . . . I wish you all the best. . . . . wink
I agree.

i have one problem with banom's conversion though, why does he believe in Christianity and not some other religion. Is the church the only place to find faith?

The texans need to fire kubiak for them to take the next step into the playoffs.
The colts are becoming a very good second half team. Same as against the Pats, they initially looked like if they were going to get blown out, only to shutdown the opposition offense in then second half.
Colts 11-0, AFC South champs, and first team into the playoffs  grin
you know the colts would slip up in the playoffs as usual right?  Something about the team doesn't scream superbowl.   The vikes have being more impressive.

congrats on getting there though, the same can't be said for some team  embarassed

Christianity EtcRe: Deep Sight Is A Closet Fundamentalist Christian by bawomolo(m): 9:39pm On Nov 28, 2009
Deep Sight:
We use "him" only for convenience. It could be she or it.

But if you actually reflect closely, you might relize that light is a positive element, as opposed to darkness. The Masculine is a positive element (forward, thrusting) and the feminine negative - (recessive, receiving) and for this reason "somethingness" is postive and masculine, as oppossed to "nothingness" which is recessive and femine.
Why does femininity have to be associated with nothingness but masculinity with somethingness? I find that strange.

Using "him" for God seems to be an attempt to attach masculine characteristics to God. Also a way to support sentiments such as the man being considered the head of an household.
