Bro, I guess you did not forget who gave Nigeria the constitution. The 1960 Nigerian constitution was the one the colonialists used before the independence. In 1963, it was merely edited. HRM, Queen of UK was changed to President of Nigeria.
Oh sorry bro, thanks for the reminder.
I hope someday we can leverage on our diversity and make our country great.

In a society where virtue takes the place of stupidity, the position of Deputy Prime Minister should have been a forgone conclusion. There was a deputy prime minister in the mode of the Ranking Minister since it was coalition government. However those who thought they were born to govern refused to adhere to the simple protocol.
You're not far from the truth brother, the coalition govt was suppose to spell out the position of deputy prime minister and ratified it in the constitution but they failed to do so.

I beg to disagree my Brother.
The only person among our founding fathers, who threw his foresight to the dogs, was Azikwe and he apparently did this, because of what himself and other Igbo leaders, felt they stand to benefit from a United Nigeria despite all the signals from the North that they were not interested in a United Nigeria.

Nigeria's creation was as a result of the mistake of 1914 which must be corrected; Alhaji Ahmadu Bello.

There is no basis for Nigeria's unity; Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

Let's forget our differences; Chief Nnamdi Azikiwe.

You're correct bro.
As a united Nigeria, we can still overcome our differences and find a common ground if only both our past and present leaders have done the right thing. For instance, the first coup was foiled by Ironsi, it is expected of him to brought the perpetrators to justice and return to civilian rule.
I feel the Decree 34 was inconsequential.
Second, hadn't been our leaders have sense there should be a provision for the post of DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER in order for forestall unforeseen circumstances.
Balewa was murdered, yet the coup was foiled. The deputy prime minister should have step forward instead of the then Chief of Army Staff.
In essence, our foundation was poor and watery.

Deadlytruth:

There is what is called foresight and being realistic. A proverb also says that the morning shows the day meaning that you can actually predict the future to a high level of accuracy based on the events of the present. The events back then clearly pointed to a very dark and bleak future and Azikiwe himself and Igbos knew it but their ulterior motive took the better of them. With Northerners already killing Southerners in Kano and Jos over the most trivial issues, what more evidence did any sensible and honest person need to infer that Nigeria had no future and one-Nigerianism was a misleading doctrine?
Aren't we Southerners including your very self currently asking for dissolution of the union because we can see and infer from the present insecurity and lopsidedness in appointments by the FG that the future is scary? So quit this line of defense for Azikiwe's folly and Igbos' tacit support for his misadventures back then.

Apt!

You're very intelligent, I admire your outlook.

I have always said it that our founding fathers lack foresights. It is part of the problems we're facing today

I know this comment has been for over two years, but I am still quoting it in the hope for a reply.

Sir, is 4.31 CGPA (B.Sc. International Relations) and a professional qualification (Graduate Member of NIM during youth service) enough to get a full M.Sc. scholarship in the U.S.? I am willing to read like a mad dog and achieve high scores in the IELTS/TOEFL if there are guarantees of funding consideration. I am a poor struggling guy who just finished service earlier this year. I wanted to graduate with a first class, but work-study could be very negative especially if the finances are poor. I am waiting for your honourable and factually frank reply, Sir.

Your GP is quite impressive. With hardwork and preparation you should get funding.
First, you need to do intensive research on schools in the US you wants to apply to.
In principle, a prospective international graduate student must have a BSc or equivalent from a recognize school, Statement of purpose, letter of recommemdations, CV, TOEFL/IELTS (based on the school requirement).
If you have work experiences, publication during your undergraduate studies is an added advantage.
Some department required applicant to write GRE, hence the reason you've to check each program requirements.
I might send some links to you in order to aid your school search.

What she does is; "send me this, send me that - this is my email or pls get my number from my profile", then disappears.
She doesn't send PM to people but she'd always want someone to either send a PM to her, message her via WhatsApp even when she needs the help.

bro, It is what is it.

Some people are like that. Regardless, we have to continue doing our best in helping each other.
