Culture / Re: Top 10 Most Spoken Languages In All Of Africa by Bazil(m): 10:37pm On Nov 17, 2013
Fulaman198:

He means countries that Hausa are native to. Hausa are not native to Gabon. Hausas are a Sahelian people. Gabon is nowhere near the Sahel. So it would make sense that Niger, Nigeria, and possibly Chad are the only countries that Hausa people are indigenous.

I know that, but the discussion is about people that speak a particular language ,in our case Hausa. So whether Hausa people are indigenous to Gabon or not is irrelevant, because the fact remains that the language is spoken there by thousands of Gabonese Hausa. Just like English, french,Arabic,Portuguese and Spanish arnt indigenous to Africa but are still spoken by millions of Africans.

And my previous comment was not directed to him only.
Nayah:

Good morning, if you base your analysis on Wilkipiedia's sources you could be mistaken because references are written from "ordinary"people like you and I meanwhile we need to disociate the most spoken from the most used! MANDARIN (a chinese language among others) is more spoken than English while English is the most spreding and used language in the World. So the same for Swahili and Hausa. Sorry but Swahili hands down

PS As for Gabon there's NO hausa as tribe in this country but only immigrants.
The bolded part is wrong. Hausa arnt in gabon only as immigrants.
Culture / Re: Top 10 Most Spoken Languages In All Of Africa by Bazil(m): 12:26am On Nov 17, 2013
wrong, hausa were recognised as an ethnic group of gabon in 2005, hausas have been in gabon since the 1890s or so and are mostly found in the nort and north east of the country. the number of hausa speackers in gabon is closer to 35000 and not 100 000 like someone suggested earlier. among the politicians some are hausa and as a manner of fact miss gabon 2001 was an hausa girl called aicha sidi. i am also pretty much sure hausas can be found in cameroon as well.
Ngodigha1: There are no Hausa in Gabon or any Central African country. The Hausas found outside Nigeria and Niger are immigrants to those countries.

Culture / Re: Why Did The Bantu's Migrate From Eastern Nigeria To Central And Southern Africa? by Bazil(m): 1:02am On Oct 23, 2013
alanmwene:
The word bantu preexisted any white man observation!
Greenberg never invented the term bantu,he just used it as a common denominator to classify a group of related languages. Moreover, all the genetic studies have shown an impressive level of homogeneity among disparate bantus groupsTherefore,it doesn't make sense to see the bantus as a mere linguistic group. The minor genetic differences between the various bantu groups can be accounted by factorizing in the influences of other African groups the bantus came into contact with. The fact is there is no pure race in the world and I cant comprehend why on earth some people expect bantus to be pure.If bantus aren't a race, how can we explain their amazing ability to produce extraordinary peope wherever they are?

Its all nice and beautiful but based on what are they a race and what is a race!!!

As much as I would respect your stance, one's contribution does not necessarily have to be tied to X, Y, Z's contributions. If you want to contribute to the thread, contribute!. Your thoughts on the subject matter will not be affected by some posts you cannot understand. I told him I could understand his stance before he resorted to his filthy talking, something which you felt obliged to overlook in claiming that he is "kinda right".

Oh well, that is quite alright. Have a nice day.

"Felt Obliged to overlook" Never said his behaviour was acceptable ,but ill tell you what was hard to overlook tho is that whole page written in somali!!

And thanks have nice day too!!!

Black Kenichi:
While I agree that Igbos and Cameroonians have a lot of physical similarities. Igbo and Congolese really don't look a like.
Also the Gabon (and Eq Guinea) have a visible Igbo population. The Igbo used to have extensive with the Gabon.

By that logic the Yoruba must be Bantu as well. There is very little genetic difference between the Yoruba and Igbo! grin grin grin

What is that visible igbo population in gabon and equatorial guinea?? and how can igbo be related to them when the population of equatorial guinea is 80 percent fang Now fang people are also found in gabon, cameroon and a few in congo brazzaville, and sao tome!! fang people are said to have migrated from the north meaning the egypt sudan area and are not bantu( at least originaly).

Its amazing to be so smart and dumb at the same time!!!
basra:

There is a difference. My analysis is based on reasoning and fact. Black women typically all wear weaves and are all decended of slavery or experienced european colonialism. This is why it has been scientificly proven that they dislike their natural hair and their skin color.

Meanwhile she made no correlation between horners and alcohol. Alcohol doesn't have anything to do with what ethnicity you are.

But low self esteem has everything to do with being a marginalized minority in a nation where you are decedended of slaves and have been conditioned to believe you are worthless.

somalia has beautiful scenary, its located on the indian ocean and has the longest coast in africa

Since last year the capital has been peaceful with the election of our new president

much inequality exists between those who have lived in somalia and those returning to invest

our country is homogenous with one language spoken and one religion practiced

the society revolves around religion, and currently their is a religous group seeking to over throw the somali government.

Their are 18,000 african union soldiers along with african union police officers protecting the fragile government and training somali security personnel

along the coasts piracy has gone down as their is an armada of warships of 12 nations patrolling off our coasts

somalia has one of the lowest hiv rates and also the lowest litteracy rate

but we also have the highest gun ownership

Well I don't think she is planning on going to somalia!!! I mean who is

The guy is confused, doesn't want to have anything to do with '' negroids'' but obviously him being a somali, he might have some negroid blood along the line who knows, which may explain why he is doing evrything he can to distance somali from '' negroids'' as he says. ijaw_girl: I asked some cameroonian PROF
Ignore the caps lock lol, na his style of writing

and he said

""CAMEROON IS A WEST AFRICAN COUNTRY::THERE IS NO COUNTRY IN THE CENTER OF AFRICA;;CENTRAL AFRICA IS COUNTRY WITH THE CAPITAL NAMED LIBREVILLE:""

""MY SISTER::THERE IS NO CENTRAL AFRICA IN AFRICA;;CENTRAL AFRICA IS A COUNTRY WITH THE CAPITAL NAMED LIBREVILLE:THOSE CAMEROONIANS WHO THINK OF CAMEROON CENTRAL AFRICA ARE NOT WELL EDUCATED:THAT IS AFRICAN EDUCATION AND NOT WORLD EDUCATION:lol""

"CEMAC IS A COMEING UP OF CENTRAL AFRICA GENERATION:AND THIS CEMAC IS MADE OF FRENSCH COUNTRY IN AFRICA:AND I THINK EVEN TOGO ARE ALSO ON CEMAC:THE NAME CEMAC IS FOR THE FRENSCH COUNTRY IN THE MIDLE OF AFRICA:THERE IS NO CENTRAL AFRICA IN AFRICA:GOOGLE AND GET IT MORE:CAMEROON IS WEST AFRICA AND NOT CENTRAL AFRICA::"

krkrkr This prof is on crack!!! Cameroon has more in common culturally with gabon, cameroon, congo, etc.... than nigeria , ghana or any other west african country so how the heck is it a west african country?? People from the north might be closer culturally to nigeria but that still doesn't make cameroon a west african state!!
