Politics / Re: FG Prepares To Takeover Lagos-ibadan Road Re-development by Beaf: 8:49pm On Jul 28, 2012 |
sheyguy: FG to take over . . . How bro? Does ACN own Bicourtney Limited? Any paranoia is misplaced. The Minister is simply saying that Bicourtney has underperformed and is being shoved into the long grass, while the FG takes over directly. I believe the Bicourtney nonsense came about only because the Late President Yar Adua was ill. |

nigeriaisgods: my friend, the young Tukur is well educated and capable of running any business as he has been doing from a very young age., The truth is that corruption is so endemic in Nigeria that the most straight forward person will get entangled. Most marketers don"t have much choice than to do what they have done because they are made to pay heavily for their import allocation. so tell me how do you expect them to cover up their margin.Ask any marketer they will tell you that madam petroleum minister, through her against in government collect millions of Dollars before you can get allocation. Have you wondered why kerosene that is allocated at N40.90 Ex VAT is resold for as high as N110 Ex depot in Lagos and yet government can"t do anything about it? Its because marketers are made to pay heavily for it, in turn have to sell much higher to cover up for this extra expenses, they also have to factor other cost such as overhead cost, throughput, operational cost and various rent seekers. The bolded is the only truth in your post, but thats still something. Cracking the petroleum mafia is not a thing for small boys or frontal attack, because those guys own the country, they own the jails, the judiciary, customs etc... Every damn thing that moves. This is the time for us to back GEJ, because he is on a hard and lonely crusade; he has been on it right from when he laid his Precidency on the line to remove the subsidy which is the biggest vehicle for eye the "legal" theft of eye wateringly colossal sums from the nations wallet. As for DPR and PPRA that you mentioned, GEJ ordered them scrapped just a couple of days ago. Things are happening, bro: http://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/index.php/news/54560-govt-scraps-dpr-pppra.html |

Pataki: Like I said, bro, you and your primitive approach remind me of NURTW. I've got a pic below of an NURTW rampage through Lagos. It is expected that you would call the Otumba a "hungry man" rather than tackle his argument, because crude agricultural methods are all that NURTW operatives can provide. They lack the critical thinking skills, grace, manners and social skills to engage in an argument like civilised beings, they would rather carry sticks to fight, rob "enemies" at night or haul childish insults like ill-bred urchins. You are what you are. Stop destabilising the country. All hail ACN! Party of choice for NURTW! |
Politics / Re: FG Begins Payment Of Oil Marketers by Beaf: 7:39pm On Jul 28, 2012 |
Pataki: For every step forward the country takes, you and your fellow enemies of progress are always there to insult, lie and defraud. What human is unhappy with the fact that reforms are going on except those dulled into abnormality by the needs of their thieving pockets? Who else camouflages in verbal and intellectual undergrowth to side with the fuel subsidy rogues? Dude, no matter how red-eyed, desperate and uncivilised you and your stone throwing crowd act, Nigeria will stick to its reform trajectory like a freight train glued to rails. If it takes a penny or two from your glutonous pockets, all the better for the long suffering common man. You can stand up and bellow all you wish like a castrated gorilla, we only percieve it as the whinning of an errant mosquito. Nigeria belongs to the people and the people are taking it back. Period. |

Pataki: Please, attend to the topic, not to people. What useful contribution do you have (if any), sir? @topic It is great to see the untouchable, mafia-like petroleum sector being reformed at last; no payment without verification. Witnessing current events is like a dream, lets all dig in to ensure that the current actions come to fruition. |
Politics / Re: FG Begins Payment Of Oil Marketers by Beaf: 5:33pm On Jul 28, 2012 |
ola4yinka: This is fraud !...they just want it to really appear like there's subsidy after sponsoring the said marketers to threaten to go on strike if they are not paid....shioooor ! Bruv, no fall my hand like dis, abeg! The importers who claim subsidies are very different from NUPENG, which consists of the tanker drivers you see under Ijora bridge and the tanker owners. It was NUPENG that threatened to go on strike, and (just to re-iterate) they have nothing to with subsidies. |

She is even lucky that Balotelli has visited her 3 times. Phucking bastard. The witch never even went to look for her son until he became a big footballer, then she and her bastard husband suddenly popped up from the bushes to claim parenthood. Phuck them, he doesn't even answer their name. How can anyone basically throw their child away? Let her be very content with cleaning and scrubbing other peoples faecal matter. |
Politics / Re: Don’t Destabilise Nigeria, Group Cautions ACN by Beaf: 5:01pm On Jul 28, 2012 |

Politics / Re: Don’t crucify me for my son’s sins, says Bamanga Tukur. Quotes Bible by Beaf: 4:51pm On Jul 28, 2012 |
mathskill: You are right that Bamangar Tukur should have adviced his son, but how do you know he didn't? It is quite strange that his case escalated so far, maybe the boy is stubborn. Whatever it is, he is an adult who should answer for his sins. Dragging his dad into the matter is as ridiculous as saying his dad should pay the refund if the boy is found guilty or even do the jail term instead if matters really get bad for the boy. We Nigerians are fond of talking about some mythical "sane country," only to pull out fantastic allusions that have little bearing on the realities we witness from those "saner climes" day-in, day-out. No one is saying we do not need to improve our national moral scales, but some of us use that as a thinly veiled camouflage to aim at enemies, which is sad. In those "sane countries" nobody visits the sins of one adult on the other. Here are some posers: When Rudy Giuliani's daughter was caught shoplifting, the man did not resign. Did Ronald Reagan resign after his daughter posed nu'de in playboy magazine during his presidential campaign? No, he went on and won the election. Here she is (there are worse pics on the net, by the way) - Did George Bush resign after his daughter pulled of her panties in public and gave the paparazzi an eyeful of her prized "jewels" only a few months into his presidency? No, he didn't. Read more such stories here: http://www.ranker.com/list/the-16-most-shameful-politician_s-daughters/robert-wabash |

montelik: All you need do is check how good the McLaren has been through the seasons, if its been a dog or stallion. Aside from Lewis first two seasons, the car was poor, yet in all seasons but last, Lewis has been phenomenal. He beat a double world champ in his rookie season, who else on the grid has proven to be better than Alonso in the same kit? Need I say more? Lewis was dubbed el phenomenon by the Italian press, and he bloody well is. |
Politics / Re: David Mark Calls For Control Of Social Media by Beaf: 4:03pm On Jul 28, 2012 |
texazzpete: Don't you think it is quite stup!d to call raw evidence "twisting" facts? Are you saying that none of the events I gave as examples occurred in the US? That would make you a liar. I have provided evidence of two encounters on behalf of the US govt between the secret services and teenagers so far and I can provide enough further evidence to create a topic on its own, by the way. Nobody is saying you cannot use hard and tough words; all I am saying is that people should not make threats, commit or solicit crimes, spread false rumours that threaten national security, make treasonous statements etc. I'm sure it doesn't require common sense to see reason with that, freedom of speech is quite different from impunity. If the security services are unleashed on subversives, who or what is gonna save you? Also, do not hound others on the internet (like the clown called OAM4J). Every adult knows what is offensive and when they have crossed criminal bounds. I fully expect one or two NLers to be dealt with as things are, and nobody will know or hear about it. |

If I was close enough to you, it would have been a certainty that right at this moment some really hefty and motivated youth would have been forcefully rearranging your dentition and reconfiguring your bones with well aimed punches and wicked dropkicks. baby-boy: No, I'm not saying their driving styles are the same; its more like their driving needs being in the same category. Both Button and Vettel cannot drive cars with drifty back ends, but for different reasons (Vettel likes to go into corners fast and a skating back end doesn't help there; Jenson is afraid to stray from the conservative, predictable race line), they aren't naturally gifted like Lewis, Alonso, Kimi etc who can make any piece of metal go at respectable speed. Cars need to be designed to the strengths of Button and Vettel for them to excel. |

dammytosh: From many of the posts here, its almost like some of us have only been exposed to html/css and have no clue what stresses an IT course will throw at a workstation. I have Visual Studio 2010 installed on 1.5GB ram machine (the base specs recommend 2GB, or 1GB bare minimum) and I know how much I curse and swear each time it chucks up unintelligible errors for which there are no saviours from google. If not for experience, I wouldn't know the issues were memory related. Except for good reason (and to avoid premature wrinkles), all programming should be done on a well speced machine. |
