Gbawe: Have you sung the daily 'anthem' of you and your 39 laptop buddies today? I.e:Stop reducing yourself to something lower than a tragic village clown, bro. This is an example of why I say that you people are not civilised. It is great that the President has congratulated Oshiomole, learn to act and think in a mature way, just like GEJ. Your behaviour for a man above sixty, is truly appalling. |
ifihearam: What has your congratulatory message got to do with his victory afterall your leader the president has senthis which covers the entire party wether you like it or not but I must also see reasons with you because osho was too quick to cast aspersions thinking inec was against him and at the end of the day he swallowed his own words by still thanking InecThank goodness for a civilised Presido! ![]() What we witness here is the massive task in the sheer number of uncivilised Nigerians whose wretched thought patterns GEJ has to straighten. |
^ Many people do not understand much outside much outside their little spheres of existence. The term "Edoid" is being grossly abused on this thread. |
kasiem: Gbawe, i never knew that u were such a berk until this your comment. So, u are presenting sylva to us as a saint who was maltreated? Which election can sylva freely win? In the area of selection and imposition of candidates, in all due honesty, u know what acn can do. Since gej is powerless, why didn't u guys trounce him when he brought soldiers to lagos, instead, u guys resorted to yowling.Gbawe is a waste. Imagine presenting the cocacaine sniffing Sylva in his usual pack of lies, there is no low thats too low for that imp. Lets just be happy that we have someone like GEJ who can ensure a level playing field and ignore the unevolved pieces of shiit that cannot appreciate a good thing (like Oshiomole has). What do you expect of NURTW operatives? Do we expect such types to appreciate civility and high taste? |
superior1: I don't understand beaf these days, as he started taking dope or somethingHow can an animal like you understand evolved humans? 90% of you ACN people are little more than beasts, bro. Too simple minded and led by raw instict to understand the superiority of the moral and cerebral approach. I do not expect you to understand when I say things should be done properly, without cheating and opponents congratulated. Nigeria has moved from the primevial World of NURTW, OPC and streetfighting that people like you are used to. I urge General Airhiavbere to congratulate Oshiomole unreservedly. |
^ What is this stup!dity with arguing about English? You come across as disjointed and unable to cope with the thrust of the topic, hence the petty diversion; its no surprise anyway, many Nigerians lack critical thinking abilities (and think its a pride). Stick to the damn topic! ![]() |
General Airhiavbere, please congratulate Oshiomole and end wahala, we are not uncivilised and bush like ACN people. Its a new Nigeria, where sits are reserved only for the evolved. |
Congrats to Edo states, congrats to Oshiomole! So far in Nigeria, the only states where minorities have won elections are in the SS. It says a lot. ![]() There are 5 minority states in the SS, of the 5, 3 are run by governors from ethnic minorities: 1. Akwa Ibom (Akpabio) 2. Delta (Uduaghan) 3. Edo (Oshiomole) The rest of Nigeria has a lot to learn from the sophistication and maturity of the SS. |
Governor Aliyu warned that the 48 hour ultimatum issued by the STF could lead to breakdown of law and order not only in Plateau State but in other parts of the country.Enough of the nonsense! Let law and order break down. ![]() Boko haram has already claimed the last Fulani herdsmens massacre as their handwork, so it is left for the security services and army to go after any identifiable vestige of boko haram. |
olowo200: If u look closely at the Nigeria coats of arms you will see that the problem of this country is even reveal in is coat of arms only people fail to notice lets look at it more closely together since the northern people are represent by the eagle the southwest people and southeast people are represent by the two white horse on each side of the map look closely and try to imagine what the two horses are really doing in the real sense and the eagle,to me i think the two horses and the one lifting Nigeria up why the eagle is just there reaping the reward eating on the mature harvest where it did not sow case of horse dey work eagle dey chop and if anything bad should happen to Nigeria carry by the two horse what do u think the eagle will do fly away of course it has got nothing to lose, look closely in very establishment in Nigeria this is the case since independent or should i say since 1914. |
bigmaut: praise gej ma foot!oshobaba d apostle of one-man! one vote! shld be praised 4 scaring d hell out of pdp & mr fix it,Tinubu must have coach him on how to prevent pdp rigging in any stateDude, Tinubu does not teach anything in the SS. Ok? |
Lets stop this uninformed nonsense that has taken over NL. The UK spent that amount. I watched a documentary on the Ibori affair on TV and learnt how they took time to actually fly British police officers to investigate in Nigeria, testify in court cases etc. They also undertook (and are still undertaking) some serious forensic investigation into Ibori's hidden wealth. What I find most appalling is our unwillingness for each and every one of us to look within our immediate surroundings for the solution to corruption; we praise and worship money regardless of its source. The documentary I mentioned earlier, recounted (as an intro to the Ibori story) how a man in one of Londons topmost hotels (Marriott) was dishing out crisp £50 notes to anyone lucky to pass by his room door (spraying, as we call it). Bushman! You do not do that in London! The police were called and the man was found to be Joshua Dariye, former governor of Plateau state. He was spraying awuf money from the states allocation to foreigners, not just that, but to foreigners from a far reacher country than Nigeria! A British aid agency (DFID) sponsored the police investigation (only for it to turn out the the British police too, were in Ibori's pay). Not only did they fund the investigation, they also invested in Ibori's businesses! A Nigerian who cried foul was spied on, to the extent of even being photographed taking his kids to school. Is this the sort of shameful spectacle our own money should be taking us through? |
There is nothing wrong with your statement above, but to use bribery scandal as an excuse to exonerate all the 'thieves' listed in the report, including some with friends in high places, is worse than insanity. Anyone who does not see the sense in submitting the names of ALL the parties listed in both reports to the EFCC or some other body for additional investigation and prosecution, should be shot right alongside the thieves.
Nobody cares about Farouks list. Merely mentioning Farouk is laughable in itself. That "report" isn't even fit for use as toilet roll; right now its only purpose is to serve as a tool coerce the house into voting in constitutional changes to get the country on the right footing. |
uzomagic: Aside from the fact that some people have been contracted to castigate this govt on Nairaland, I can't find any other logical reason why some people will come here to deprive the president of the gratitude that the comrade Governor has willingly and freely offered him.Bruv, do they even sound normal? Leave the nobodies to keep ranting even after Oshiomole has thanked the President. |
Old Wizard: Jonathan is incompetent. He has nothing to offer. He is selfish and clueless. I know he will start avoiding Kogi now, what a timid leader. he is also corrupt. How can all evil be in one man and is the president? Nigerians need to reclaim Nigeria. With due respect, you really sound mad, bro. Where do "they" find such uncultured types? |

https://leadership.ng/nga/sites/default/files/imagecache/460x287/articleimages/adams_oshiomole_0.jpg `` I want to appreciate Mr President with his resolve and public pronouncement that he would provide adequate security for the people and the INEC staff before, during and after the election. ``I am glad that Mr President kept to his words of assurance that there would be no thuggery, hooliganism and violence during the Edo Governorship Election. He said that the president had led by example, which is the hall mark of a statesman. ``He is indeed a statesman, a man of honour because there was adequate and effective presence of security agents on ground. ``I am impressed because the army actually played a neutral role .in the election,’’ he said. -Oshiomole http://leadership.ng/nga/articles/29848/2012/07/15/i_am_glad_mr_president_kept_his_words_oshiomhole.html Thank you, GEJ! jmaine: No too go far bros, mere presence of Soldiers at Ojota in January ended _________________________________ ? Abeg help me fill in the blank spaceLolzzzz! Don't mind these our "brave" vote "protectors." In the past when wild looking men simply walked into polling booths to acquire ballot boxes for thumbprinting, these same brave souls would have been first to jump up with, "ekale sir, fada!" "rankadede mai gaskiya!" "strong man, migwo!" ![]() Laf no go wound pesin o! |
bobbyr: @bayooooo and the rest who among you could have protect your vote if the army had allow pdp rigging machine to start snatching ballot boxes from polling unit by the time you hold it with your eyes you wil see your hands stil holdin the box but not with you again it been cut off with machet.you go out to protest police will through gas till you pass out.you do not know how powerful a naija presidor is, has he sack petroleum minister ?upon all the noise. i believe a naija soldier/police has not wipe you during protest before.Tell them, jare! People just wake up and talk bullshiit. Why did they not "protect" their votes in the days when thugs supervised elections? 90% of Nigeria's problems are with the average Nigerian; we love to be treated like beasts and deny appreciation to those who treat us like humans. Its saddening. |
Thank you GEJ! Fresh Air! ![]() |
Boko haram claimed responsibility for the last Fulani massacre in Jos. It doesn't take a clever person to figure out who boko haram is in the region and go after every last one. |
I applaud this AIG committee for identifying more subsidy thieves. What must now be done is to hand over all the parties in both the Farouk report and the Aig-Imoukhuede report, over to EFCC or some other specially constituted team, for the prompt and vigorous prosecution of all of theses thieves. In addition to those identified in both reports, investigations must continue to identify other thieves who may have fallen through the cracks. Let the prosecution begin. I'd also recommend that companies who can offer to repay substantial percentage of the subsidy funds they illegally obtained be immunized from prosecution. This should help us recover the stolen trillions of naira from these people promptly. The next step would be to make one or 2 examples of these thieves with long term prison sentences or simply public execution or stoning. no long ting.
Nobody gives a rats arse about Farouks cap inspired report, bro. |
Plateau Crisis: Fulani Leader Arrested, Detained 14 Jul 2012 Abubakar. Muhammed Abubakar, IGP By Seriki Adinoyi in Jos The National Secretary of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBA), Saleh Bayeri has been arrested. This is as former Military Administrator of Delta State, Colonel John Dung (rtd) debunked the allegation credited to Chairman of Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), General Jeremiah Useni that Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State was the cause of the persistent violence in the State. Bayeri was arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) when he honoured invitation from the Commander of the Force, Major General Henry Ayoola, who handed him over to the State Security Service (SSS). STF Spokesman Captain Salisu Mustapha confirmed the arrest, adding that Bayeri has been handed over to the SSS for interrogation. Meanwhile, the STF has virtually relocated its base to Matse in Barkin Ladi, following another attempt by the attackers to invade the villages they had earlier attacked on Saturday and Sunday. According to a statement by the state government, no life was lost in that invasion as the STF reportedly waded off the attackers Former Military Administrator of Delta State, Colonel John Dung (rtd) has reacted to the statement credited to the Chairman, Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), Gen Jeremiah Useni (rtd), in which Useni claimed that Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State is the cause of persistent violence in the state, saying ‘Useni’s claim is not true’. Dung, in an interview with our correspondent said, “If Jang is the problem why are they killing the innocent people in the villages. Some of these villages are not even Berom villages; Maza and Babale that were attacked by gunmen sometimes ago are not Berom villages. So how are they linked to Jang? “I don’t know why he said what he said, but I know that the problem is not Jang. The problem is purely political and Northern problem. May be he said so because he is the Chairman of Arewa Consultative Forum. But that is not true; I disagree with him totally on that comment. “What I know is that we need to work together in unity as Plateau people”. Meanwhile, a Christian Cleric, Prophet Isah el-Buba of the Evangelical Bible Outreach Ministry International (EBOMI) in Jos said the President should be bold, adding that “it is better not to be re-elected as Nigerian President who stands on the path of truth than to compromise with people to sink the nation”. On the activities of the Islamic sect known as Boko Haram, el-Buba pointed out that they are not faceless as some people would like to make other believe, arguing that they are known only that people are trying to shield the members for selfish and religious reasons. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/plateau-crisis-fulani-leader-arrested-detained/120015/ |
^ Reports have it that Gbawe is now at Yaba Left, swallowing agbo-like concoctions at a rapid rate to forestall a further slide into gaga land! Weldone to the Imoukhuede committee. This is the real list of bastards and vampires. |
Beaf: Lets bear in mind that British soldiers have already been on Nigerian soil to chase boko haram.I believe with the actions to uproot the Fulani in Plateau, it is safe to declare that we are now in the number one item of this list. |
Can anyone look closely at the negative links in the image below? It is all Nairaland. ![]() I argued it right from my first post on this topic, NL is not helping Nigeria's image abroad. Something really needs to be done to raise standards. This is really bullshiit. https://i.imgur.com/Y1hvf.jpg |
hercules07: We will have to agree to disagree on this, when people are desperate to protect their votes, forget AK 47 ooo, people will come with their own too, abi you think a fulani who is ready to die will fear guns?Sadly, that level of desperation is completely absent in Nigeria. Just as much as we demand the govt performs, so we should be singing rousing songs for the citizens to wake up. |
jmaine: Make i go crash abeg. . .I get serious early packages tomorrow . .laha guysSleep well, bruv. |
hercules07: He was a PDP guy when he made the allegations against Asari.Abeg, forget dat side jare! Nobody will protect votes with their mobile phones if strong, hairy chested men wielding AK's were to descend on their polling booth as used to happen in previous years. In fact, such a situation would only prove that the Nigerian voter is an Olympics 100m gold medalist. Lol! As for rigging being done at collation centres, that is now impossible (thanks to the new transparency). Each polling station has staff from the parties that sign the results and keep a copy; so that independent verification of figures is now done by all political parties, even before INEC declares. If anybody was to rig successfully, they would have to carry it out at the polling centre; once results have left, it is too late. Thank GEJ, bro! Lol! |
hercules07: I personally do not like GEJ as I believe he has nothing to offer, if he is able to prove me wrong, I will not mind supporting him but he has a long way to go, so I am not anti-GEJ, I am pro good governance. We are all pro-good governance, I guess approach is different though (I'm obviously an avid supporter). Like you, I hope GEJ performs creditably; if he doesn't, I'll be the first to join you. But, so far, its been good. |
hercules07: I am sure he thugged for the ACN in that election though the Ekiti People are totally for the ACN, he just came as an insurance, elections in Nigeria will always involve thugs because of the violence and the desperation attached to wining elections (I do not support thuggery o and I believe it should be dealt with), so, Asari thugged for ACN in that election and thugged for GEJ in the April elections, the guy na freelancer. As for thuggery being a crime, that is true. But you must agree that it flourished to the extent it did in the past, because all elections were muscle affairs. Lets not forget that political thuggery gave birth to some wings of the Niger Delta militancy as well as the current deadly boko haram. Now that we have free and fair elections, thuggery is visibly disappearing. With time, it will die a natural death. No one needs them to snatch ballot boxes and intimidate voters anymore. I praise GEJ for that. |
hercules07:Thank you. Bayoooo for some strange reason, cannot accept obvious facts. |
