Tonitelli: I will not engage in this with u beaf...I'm not used to such..you have been at this so long on nairaland that it would be fruitless...but that ur time here has left you with ignorance of such epic proportions,is just sad..really....you win.goodnight.No, you will not engage me, because your past attempts have simply shown you up to be the gutter bred type who takes pride in being the loudest fool on the block. What sort of adult thinks that such is a worthy accolade? Keep insulting your fathers mates for no reason, it is the ACN way. What is to be expected of a party led by a drug baron and fraudster who cannot even point out his fathers compound? Those from the gutter will behave like the gutter. |
Outstrip: Someone posts a progressive topic and he gets abused and ridiculed. You can just act like you did not see the thread. I just don't understand how people can be so angry about progress. Those of you fixating on the roasted chicken are deliberately trying to be simple. It is bigger than that and he expantiated in following posts. I know I will get insulted though but I would like to know how many people condemning him live in Nigeria. I am willing to bet that all of them do. I see it all the time. When you say something about deplorable conditions in Nigeria it is usually the ones living there that make excuses for why it is that way. The government might be corrupt but that is not why Nigeria is the way it is. A huge and significant part of it is the mentality of the people. The sad thing is an opportunity to educate yourself is usually scorned by the people that should embrace itI think its just a new craze for people to act silly these days. It leaves a sad feeling when it is realised that these are the people the nations future depends on. The collective mental state of the country is in no fit state for development. It looks like the entire scope for creative thought has been thrown out the window, even worse, dignity and pride in humanity have been thrown out as well. How can a nation in this state ever hope to develop? Most people who might not be that bright and who have never ever left their home states or Nigeria (even to Burkina Faso) might not be able to grasp how human society can function at much higher and productive levels than the bestial World that obtains in Nigeria. If anything, this thread shows that the depth of work that needs to be done to raise our people is mind-boggling (though not insurmountable). |
Tonitelli: I am sorry to disappoint u beaf...but I don't...however it soo obvious that u would have no misgivings insulting your parents just to make Jonathan happy..I wonder what u get paid for this....u should cover your face in shame when upbringing, and home training are on the forefront...u are the one without it..u do not merit a deficiency.best regards.Abeg, carry on insulting your fathers mate; afterall, it is the ACN way to be proud of foolishness and gutter upbringing. All hail AregbeRASCAL! All hail Tinubu! All hail Tawun! All hail NURTW! Una no de carry last! ![]() Gutter bred people. https://www.nigeriaplus.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/Ibadan-NURTW-riot.jpg |
ENEONWO: Talking about fresh air, Aregbesola is the real definition of that. He is not just diplomatic, he is savvy, charismatic, witty and articulate. One thousand Oyinlolas & Omisores cannot measure up to 10% of Aregbesola using the indices stated above. Little wonder the envy from his opponents. In her desparate bid to undo him, the Osun PDP is rather showing Nigerians the good, rare stuff Aregbesola is made.Seriously, bro! Gaddem! Make una see me see wahala! Look at the "evidence of massive road construction in Osun" in partnership with "Julius Berger" and with "50billion World Bank funding." It is just bloody painful to the usual weak minds that the President is leading the assault on corruption in the petroleum sector, despite their weak attempts to malign the narrative. Poor sods! ![]() |
andresia: This is to show what an uncouth and crude dye in the wool scoundrel you are. you just can't construct a sentence without heaping abuses and insults. Anyway, I don't blame you,I rather pity you knowing you were reared in an environment where mothers abuse their own children with the most foulest terms. Its funny how you cry when you are rebuked, yet you are the first to throw insults. What a "strong" man! Lol! I wonder if you have parents or you were found in the gutter? It is that sort of person that is proud to act the fool loudly in public, so that other fools can come clapping. Where you picked from the gutter? Lol! All hail ACN supporters! ![]() |
Why would a grown up behave like something that was found in the gutter? Even worse, be proud to exhibit such behaviour as loudly as possible in public? ![]() |
Tonitelli: @beaf...u call people s.tu.pid on nairaland...somehow missing how incredibly du.mb, and stu.pid u look when u do this defender of the jonathan-verse every time..sometimes u need to call a spade a spade..I won't join in calling Jonathan names, but it's obvious he really needs someone to screen what it is he says...which u might do a good job of applying for instead of wht u do here on nairaland..your beloved Jonathan should keep it at the back of his mind that he's running a country, and not a supermarket..with people, and not goods...and it has absolutely nothin to do with ACN or whatever...best regards. It is fashionable for ACN folk to behave like fools and motorpark touts. People without upbringing or home training. I bet you insult your father and mother. Did you see this post? Lol! Beaf: All of you just happen to come from the area where upbringing is in deficit. |
Ilaje44:Don't try to escape, bro. Your own words have you in a vice-like grip. Prove them. |
Ilaje44, what state are you from? It is very important to establish that you are neither alj haram nor his alter ego Jason123. It is foolish to say that Itsekiri's are suffering in Delta state, and tremendously foolish to say Ilaje's have anything, but equality in Delta as well. Those things show you up as a fake, just like alj haram. |
GideonG: For Nairaland, I think Seun used PHP at the beginning and ended up changing to Python....We should ask Seun why he dumped PHP. IMHO, Python is a 100% better choice for something as largescale as NL (for a number of reasons). I hope Seun drops by to give a word or two. |
I guess GEJ doesn't visit Nairaland to know just half what we call him. ..retar.deen, shoeless fisherman, Olodo, e. ediot, ogogoro master etc.
All of you just happen to come from the area where upbringing is in deficit. |
When I say people should burn down their state governors and LG chairmen, some of them feel insulted. If your state and mine cannot generate revenue outside oil, then what are their reasons for existence? It is usual for failures to oppose the rewards of those who have succeeded; shame on the 33 state and FCT. Awuf luv'n phucks. Just like most governors and LG bosses, the majority of Nigerians are awuf luv'n phucks. |
andresia: beaf you don come back from Abuja? how much is your share from yesterday's protest nI asked on another thread why ACN people like to appear as fools? Do you actually take pride in being the loudest fools about? I just can't understand. |
You've just got to feel sorry for the OP. I keep saying it here on NL, that ND people are not talkers; that is why the OP never got the loud response (from her type) that she would have got if she had posted instead about ND people (or "fishermen" as her type would say) commenting on her beloved origins. We are neither rattled nor will we participate in primitive behaviour. |
Why do ACN folk always strive so hard to come across as abyssmally daft, yet loudmouthed people? ![]() It is not a pride to be both daft and loudmouthed. |
When did so many stup!d people get on NL? ![]() |
Fresh Air! ![]() ...Despite the weak attempts by the usual ACN loudmouths and enemies of Nigeria to change the story. |
Government will prosecute those indicted by subsidy probe - Jonathan By Onyedi Ojiabor and Sanni Onogu 1 hour ago President Jonathan President Jonathan President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday vowed to deal with those indicted by the House of Representatives over fuel subsidy fraud. Jonathan said that anybody found culpable in the large scale theft of fuel subsidy would not be spared. He, however, dismissed the alleged uneasiness in the Presidency over the recommendations of the House ad-hoc committee on management of fuel subsidy as completely unfounded. Jonathan, who spoke through his Special Adviser on National Assembly Matters, Senator Joy Emodi, insisted that he is determined to rid the rot in the petroleum industry. He described as commendable, the investigation undertaken by the House of Representatives into the utilization of the petroleum subsidy. The investigation, he said, is in line with the Federal Government anti-graft war in the petroleum industry. Jonathan also ruled out any form of interference in what the House is doing, saying his determination to enthrone probity in all sectors of the country’s national life is unwavering. He said, “The Executive and the Legislative arms of government are on the same page on the issue and would collaborate towards ensuring that any rot in the sector is fully addressed. He was also quick to add that the issues that led to the investigation into oil subsidy predated his administration. Emodi said that there was no doubt that President Jonathan is poised to sanitize the oil sector and give it new breath of life through enhanced probity, transparent governance and zero corruption. “So it is a wrong claim in some quarters of uneasiness in the administration over the recommendations of the House ad-hoc committee on the utilization of petroleum subsidies. “In fact such sharp practices in the oil sector were part of the reasons President Goodluck Jonathan moved against fuel subsidy in the first place. “He directed the then Minister of Finance, Mr. Olusegun Aganga to engage an internationally recognized audit company to investigate the rot in the sector and KPMG was retained for the purpose. “This was overtaken by the more comprehensive industry wide investigation now headed by erstwhile Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and Presidential Candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu. “Is this not a clear manifestation of President Jonathan’s determination and genuineness to fight corruption to zero level? “Mr. President’s sincere desire of enthroning probity was clearly manifested by his choice of men of integrity to be involved and he did not mind crossing the partisan barrier to get his opponent in the presidential election to lead the investigation, “she added. http://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/index.php/news-update/44367-government-will-prosecute-those-indicted-by-subsidy-probe-jonathan.html |
kwajahafiz: Poster u have sadly chosen the wrong fight for Nigeria. We as a country are not there yet.So how is it that Nigeria is not there yet, but Benin Republic is? This is the reason I am asking why we are the way we are. You've talked about open air cooking in Ghana; have you seen how they wash their pots to the point that they gleam so much you can almost see your reflection in some? Contrast that with our own roadside cooking, with the woman mopping sweat off her brow with a dirty wrapper and the pots looking like they were salvaged from the biblical pits of burning brimstone and sulphur. There is a lot wrong with our society. Why can't we even wash our pots, while those just across the border always gleam? These things are mostly washed with a mixture of sand and soap. It is a thing of the mind. Other societies developed through mental discipline. When I see the way things are done on every level in Nigeria, it makes me shudder and wonder how such minds can ever grasp and articulate the tough steps towards developing. Where are we going? |
merengue: While I disagree with Beaf on a lot of issues, he is absolutely on point with his arguments. These displays apart from being a disgrace are unhealthy and an environmental hazard. Poverty is not an excuse for stupidity, there are other ways of going about it.Thank you jare! People are only confirming the exact thing I'm talking about when I say our society is ill and bestial. Some of those commenting here about poverty will be very quick to slap a poor man for scratching their car and ask "do you know who I am?"; that is just the same rampant mental health issue manifesting on another level; this time by those who are better of. How can humans see no wrong in existing like animals? I will repeat it and continue to do so, that nothing good can ever come out of bestial society. It takes entire society to make a transformation; I have been to many much poorer countries than Nigeria and they do not live like us, so what is this daft excuse about povery? Does poverty mean society should lack dignity? Unfortunately, from what I see, many are just happy to continue with the bestial way things are. |
ogugua88: This is what I'm talking about:This is what cowards too scared to face reality call "African flavour." Is it any surprise that such minds can only provide povertyand backwardness? Development will never proceed from such a bestial mindset. The entire country needs cultural renewal, total rebirth. |
shymmex: If this thread was created by a sane, and principled poster, I wouldn't even have a problem with it. I probably would have ignored it, but not beaf. All you ever do is mock poor people with your silly pictures - yet praise BADluck JonaFAIL and his clueless co-travelers.Go take your drugs and stop screaming like a fool because Lagos was mentioned; that is the only way you can contribute sensibly without having to cover up your initial tomfoolery and seeming like a right id!ot. |
Na wa o! what is wrong with you folks? everybody is saying the same thing in principle. we need to overhaul our system, we need to deal with pollution problems, we need a government that has capacity to rule and direct us! so whats the frigging arguement about? who can diapute these needs? none of us! Beaf is not the most appreciated guy on NL, far from it i am certain but to dispute that we dont need our minds renewed in Naija is an error. Things can be better done, a little improvement every now and then would take us gradually out of our insanity. Yes, the governent has a critical role to play; they gotta set the standards and enforce them but my opinion is simple; PEOPLE DO THINGS THE WAY THEIR MINDS APPROVES AS RIGHT, IF YOU HAVE A BETTER IDEA OF HOW THINGS SHOULD BE DONE LETS SHOW THEM. CHANGE STARTS FROM SOMEWHERE. Meanwhile, i believe you guys need to rest.
Simples. ![]() |
https://westernskycommunications.com/images/event-photography-barbecue.jpg This is certainly not on the roadside (and probably over an open sewer). And as we can see, the meat is still cooking; it isn't stored on sticks like something for animals to eat. |
Nairalanders note: Do not ever invite Beaf to a barbecue at your house without first ensuring that a health inspector and the surgeon general are on site ![]() One summer I lived far away from home with some engineers at the company I was working at. We had a house party... bought a big pig, dug a pit in the ground (in his back yard) and roasted the pig in the earth, Cuban-style. It was delicious and good. Nobody got sick...nobody died. Nothing wrong with roasting meat. Hell, humans did this for literally thousands of years before modern conveniences like kitchens and ovens came about..
There is a vast difference between someones clean backyard and open sewers at the roadside. The average Nigerian simply has no morals and zero self-esteem; that is why such madness is seen as normal. Ordinary bun sellers can manage to get glass display cases in Nigeria, yet processed meat sellers who make several times more money are excused, because their filthy approach provides and "African" flavour as some have put it. I am certainly not one of those "Africans." ![]() We need to reach down deep and find ways to heal our society, otherwise we will continue in an ever tightening spiral to nowhere. |
shymmex: Society morals where the whole system is messed up from top-down, huh? Why single out lowest class of people for critique - when you exalt the corrupt upper class of people in the same society daily on this same forum? You're an irredeemable hypocrite!!Come back when you are tired of being foolish and sounding incoherent. First it was about " Lagos is my state," but now that you've seen that no one else caught your primitive bug, you are just venting so stup!dly and incoherently to cover up. |
Copiousworld: @Beaf, your name do sound like one. Roasted chicken is just BBQ, or let me ask if you understand the term called BBQ?Do they hang them out on skewers in the open air after roasting? There's no need to lie, bro. Our societal morals are zero, and the exposed chicken and disgusting abattoirs are a physical manifestation of the murky inards of our collective societal mind. |
^ Ok, lets just agree that you cannot find any such picture, cos it does not exist. Who are you fooling? shymmex: What solutions? Patching up a society that needs a complete overhaul, huh? I see why blacks are assumed to be inferior beings. If the health and environmental agencies regulates the whole thing, without alternatives - what's going to happen to the livelihood of these poor people? Why can't you just kill off all the poverty stricken people in that cesspit, and make it an exclusively, elite class society? You have no point to make, outside sounding crazier by the minute. You are so incoherent its like you are on either on drugs or abyssmally daft. I have never heard a greater collection of stup!d things in one a single post. Benin Republic is much poorer than Nigeria, but they manage to keep standards and the people are not dead nor are they dying. I have mentioned the Caribbean countries which are much smaller than ours, but where the people are saner and society is geared for development. You always come up with your theory of blacks as inferior beings whenever you are challenged to use your head. Don't let your low self-esttem make you a beast of the field; that is the problem this thread is pointing at and it is widespread. Everybody has a part to play in curing it, but it must first be freely accepted, that our society has deep issues; nothing good can ever spring from diseased society. |
Honestly...this thread makes no sense. There is nothing in principle wrong with selling meat just cooked. Hell, it happens all the time, even in the US. Or none of you have been to a hot dog stand before? Or been to a BBQ? No real difference. Now if you claim you want inspectors for the meat, etc, etc, fine. But there is nothing wrong with cooking and selling meat..
That is false. I challenge you to show me a single public pic in the US that is remotely like this one: https://cdn.pmnewsnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/chicken-labs.jpg |
I don't give a toss about Emeagwali who has zero effect on my wellbeing. Sanusi is the CBN governor for Christ sakes! ![]() Am I going to hear next that some Yoruba or Igbo mechanic plagiarised, therefore Sanusi's crime is of no gravity? I wonder why stark fools like Rhino.5dm are not simply electrocuted. Imagine comparing the CBN governor who runs our financial policy to Emeagwali who is fuckall to the Nigerian system? How stup!d can one get? |
No society that is running on chaos like ours will develop in either this World or the next. What positive things can we do to bring back standards? |
