naijaking1: Yes, myopic, because you couldn't free yourself from primitive ethno-regional bias. The first step towards correcting many of the chronic ills of our nation is for some controlling agency to at least take responsibility/blame for it. I know you may not understand, but until an official wakes up in the morning to apologize to Nigerians for the power failure of the previous night, we're certainly going nowhere. Instead of Nigerians to accept blames, they form a circular firing squad and shift the buck around, with the result that at the end of the day, nothing changes, nothing improves, and nobody learns anything.Every last one of these things needs addressing. |
honeric01: Where did these people you just mentioned make their monies from? where did they build their empire? ND or SW?Which of them made their money on anybody's resources outside of the ND? Dude, a lot of you people are just wretches who let your hatred of the ND cloud your judgements. Why would you hate the ND, if not your own failure? You people cannot contribute to any thread concerning the ND without bigotry, yet the ND is made up of minorities. It takes a a very strong man to pile on minorities, isn't it. Shame. On every thread, you have daft comment after daft comment from grown men. Its like a competition to crown idiocy. The thread is about those who see no reason to exist if they do not hold power in Abuja, let us deal with that if your bigotry will allow. Afterall, Abuja is not in the ND. |
Ufeolorun: You love throwing tantrums.you go prancing around this platform like spongebob squarepants, calling people parasites as if you actually bring something in real terms to the table.People who see the way some of you go about will think there are massive industrial units in the delta where local knowledge and know-how are being used to create notch products for the benefit of the rest of the country but na lie na God bless us with oil awoofuDude, the truth is bitter. Ain't you a parasite? I don't see what is annoying about that, rather if I were you, I would begin to pressure those around me to either be creative or harness local resources to exploit. Stop letting the fact that you are a parasite make you provide scripted performances fit only for id!ots. You are not insular, no. You are a classic bigot and bigotry is a sure sign of low self esteem. You NEED to show yourself to belong with bigotted displays that would suit agbero's or you feel like nothing. . . Hellish existence. It is such a big problem that you cannot even address the topic with any commonsense and without derailling. Your contributions so far are like asking a kid 2 + 2? Only for them to reply 5. Instead of addressing the issue that is at the heart of this topic of various clowns angling to sieze power at the center, because they are parasites who cannot be creative outside of thinking up new ways to share Abuja largesse, you have joined them to sing the same song of fools. The ND person has become your enemy, only because you look in the mirror and see failure staring right back, you hear a knock on the door and realise that it is the ND asserting itself. Dude, your ethnic bigotry is a sign of weakness and failure. |
ZUBY77: I want to live in Eastern Nigeria. I have heard about PH, Awka, Enugu, and Owerri. I like quiet and well planned cities with good road networks, less pollution, standard super malls, airport, stadium, good hospital, night clubs/life and all those things that Americans enjoy. Which city in the east can accomodate my desires ?Go to Akwa Ibom or Cross River. I especially recommend Akwa Ibom, it is the fastest developing part of Nigeria with several state of the art facilities and investment opportunities. The luscious women are a bonus for the lonely, unattached male. You know the drill! ![]() |
100% Resource Control Is What We Demand. ![]() Efribodi, occupy ya resources (or invent some). |
honeric01: Lol, see person wey dey talk about ethnic bigotry lol.I see another bigotted fool is in the house. You are no different from the morally limp fellows the President described below: GEJ: We would expect that people, who claim to be major stakeholders in the Nigerian project, when they make contributions, their contributions will show commonsense and decency. |
kodewrita: @poster hope that solves it.Lol! Spice the place up with jiggly babes and hey! You'll have me crawling, drooling and loitering. |
Ufeolorun: We are all lazy from the people who shout about the oil belonging to them as if na him papa put am there to the goro munchers up north, and the Owambeic westerners. We are all lazy,In fact the closer you are to the oil the lazier you get.My guy, don't you get sick of these foolish ethnic bigotry? It is irritating and makes you come across as a fool. Let us get our heads sorted about how best to move forward. If you are not happy with the country or the fact that the President is from a particular region, then declare your compound or village independent (if you can survive). |
Garba Audu: hey dude, i wish i can take care of my locality not to mention contributing to the center. But we have a big problem as a Nigerians- lack of unity. Without unity among various ethnic tribes there will never be progress in that country. As i'm writing this, i'm very pessimistic about 2015.- is there gonna be election? A military coup? Country disintegration? Or a bloody civil war? Allahu a'lam. So friend, you can see Nigeria is a very unfortunate project.Lol! Its a vicious cycle, cos the lack of unity is caused by the shame of failure. Every section looks within, see's nothing worth shouting halleluya about and attacks the weakest section they can identify. I can bet you that if each square foot of Nigeria was successful, there would be no cause for disunity, talkless ethnic bigotry. The key is positively identifying the root causes of our collective failure as a nation, manning up to it and tearing it down. Let us identify the root cause of why we are neither creative nor productive. IMHO, it is because of these three things: 1. There is a national inferiority complex from our colonial past that kills self-belief which is essential for industrialisation. 2. Too many years under highly centralised military regimes have made the concept of states and LG's actually generating wealth internally quite alien. 3. We have become so used to a culture of freebies that we cannot imagine having to actually invent and manufacture goods. The above factors to me, amount to a culture of indolence that needs to be broken. |
Ufeolorun: Forming busyAre you sure you want to see Niger Delta Republic? The parasites are fighting for the same thing as you and your governor are. . . another mans 13% derivation. It is embarrassing to be among so many lazy phucks. What is wrong with many Nigerians? |
2015: Don't distract me, Jonathan warns northern leadershttp://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/index.php/news/39987-north-warns-panel.html |
Garba Audu: This thread is nonsense. A big illusion. The topic should rather read: how much do your state/LG grabs from the national cake- allocations, projects, special funds, poverty assistance, amnesty training etc. That is what the thread is about. Don't you feel it is a deep embarrassment that states cannot survive without FG help of some sort? Dude, I published a list of cities that make more money than Nigeria. Why should mere cities make more money than an entire country if something is not culturally wrong with that country? I have said that Nigeria is stricken with a culture of indolence, do you have a better explanation? |
AjanleKoko: This is a hypocritical thread jare.My guy, this is escapist na. What sort of thing does the FG need to do to make a state governor or LG boss create industries in their domain? We cry a lot about true federalism, and it is a legitimate cry. However, what is there to make a state that is unproductive suddenly become productive with the advent of true federalism? I don't see anything; what is required is wholesale cultural reorientation to enable people realise that they can actually generate much more wealth locally than the FG ever can. When we acheive that then states would actually be self sufficient and in a position to reject any FG money as belittling beggars money (as happens in the US). The sad truth is that Nigeria has been overtaken by a culture of indolence. Check out the number of cities that make more money than Nigeria and tell me the fault is not Nigerian culture. |
So far, many responses have been quite close to the definition of id!otic. There are people actually making excuses for their states, saying the GEJ should actually do stuff to get their governors thinking creatively. That position is one of a scrounger and lazy phuck. I would love to hear from the people holding that embarrassing position what they actually think their governors and LG booses duties are. There is a vehicle assembly/manufacturing plant at Nnewi and an oil refinery/drilling business (Orient - first raw material to finished product industry in Nigeria). Did GEJ need to do anything to make these things posible? I am not from Anambra, but as far as I am concerned, it is the only state in the country whose citizens are on the right track to actually contributing their worth to the country. What do YOU plan to do? |

Seun: Concurrency in the context means being able to speed up your programs by running them on more than one CPU core, CPU, or computer system at the same time. Python, my favorite programming language, supports concurrency for IO bound programs by providing threading abstractions (threads, locks, queues, event objects, etc). However, the Python interpreter is encumbered by a global interpreter lock which prevents CPU-bound python programs from taking advantage of multiple cores or CPUs. As a result, Python now provides a multiprocessing module that provides thread-like abstractions in a multi-process context (processes, locks, queues, event objects, etc), allowing CPU-bound Python programs to enjoy more concurrency quite easily. You are spot on, however the bolded is more about dealing with the consequence of every computers inability to handle perfectly simultaneous requests. Its subtle, but concurrency is the simultaneous demand on processing resources by calculations. |
^ Some NL bug with long titles is not allowing me to edit my post! ![]() Anyways, when I said "wrapper," I meant an out of process COM component. By the way, you should be moving from COM to COM+ which does not have such issues. Here is the COM+ homepage: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms685978%28v=vs.85%29.aspx |
You cannot call 32bit COM objects in 64bit processes that is why you are getting the error even after registering. Either wrap your object or recompile the app that is calling it as 32bit (easier). |
It is wrong to insult Muhammed or Islam because of some peoples misinterpretation of the religion. |
At the rate people like Mr Globe are going, it would a UN resolution to get their awuf loving LG boss and state governor of their hairy arses to actually work for those whom they represent. Why are many Nigerians so ignorant to the point of intellectual and moral immolation? ![]() |
Nothing.... Atleast until you tell me what good your puppet master GEJ has done for Nigeria and how you want to make him perform
Nothing? This is the reply expected of an awuf luv'n phuck. Ride on, bruv. |
I expect most NLer's to avoid this topic like the plague, because many of us are not willing to introspect when we are the problem. If I had mentioned ethnic groups, the place would have been full of despicable critters string to prove that their ethnicity is "better." That is the bane of Nigeria, everybody scrambling for a peace of the cake, but nobody willing to roll their sleeves up for a days work. That sort would label anybody a fool if they did the right thing and blockaded their LG's bosses office, or the office of their awuf loving phuck of a governor. What is wrong with some of us? |
What do your state an LG contribute to Nigeria and what have you done to ensure they contribute? I am tired of hearing people complain forcefully about Nigeria, while absolving their state and local govts of any responsibility. It is a shocking approach to our developmental problems. First of all, in a federal system, ALL government units have a responsibility to generate wealth, representation, fulfilment and wellbeing for the citizens under their wing. However, in today’s Nigeria state and LG's do little more than collect money from the FG on a monthly basis. The acceptance of this state of affairs by the citizenry is clearly a disgrace that points to exactly why we have so woefully failed to develop. At the heart of the acceptance of the begging trail to Abuja is a gross misunderstanding of how a federal govt should function. This widespread misunderstanding can be laid firmly at the foot of years of traumatising military rule in which the head of state sat over the country as a great god from whom all things flowed. It was in the interest of these great gods to sow chaos in the system to ensure that Nigeria was always there for them to milk. So much energy has been concentrated on easy loot from oil that we have forgotten how to be creative and have become a people who exist as spongers and who only wish to become “better” spongers. Here is what creativity, honest sweat and determination have produced for the cities below that ALL make more money than the ENTIRE Nigeria: Nigeria: GDP (PPP) 2009 estimate $341.572 billion http://www.imf.org/external/pubs/ft/weo/2010/01/weodata/weorept.aspx?sy=2007&ey=2010&scsm=1&ssd=1&sort=country&ds=.&br=1&c=694&s=NGDPD%2CNGDPDPC%2CPPPGDP%2CPPPPC%2CLP&grp=0&a=&pr.x=38&pr.y=14 Tokyo (Japan) $ 1479 billion New York City (United States) $ 1406 billion Los Angeles (United States) $ 792 billion Chicago (United States) $ 574 billion London (United Kingdom) $ 565 billion Paris (France) $ 564 billion Osaka (Japan) $ 417 billion Mexico City (Mexico) $ 390 billion Philadelphia (United States) $ 388 billion São Paulo (Brazil) $ 388 billion Washington D.C. (United States) $ 375 billion Boston (United States) $ 363 billion Buenos Aires (Argentina) $ 362 billion Here are two power plants owned by local governments in the UK. These damn things are not owned by the British govt, but by LG's: SELCHP (35MW) – Lewisham and Southwark Councils https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/9/9f/SELCHP.jpg/800px-SELCHP.jpg Greenwich Power Station (117MW) – Standby power station for Greater London https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c2/Greenwich_power_station_from_Royal_Observatory.jpg Many of us were out rioting for #Occupy, whereas our states and LG's are rotting edifices with no purpose, outside an awuf scramble.
