Haha, we both know it's politics, I'm actually hoping GEJ will ignore the project, I need to rub it on some people's faces in my neck of the wood, they thought I was "yarning dust" when I told them not to support GEJ and his PDP. Olokola Project was one of the reasons they gave for their blind support. Lol
GEJ's camp has some master strategists, so I doubt the project will be abandoned. However, it will likely come with invisible, but heavy marine ropes attached. Lol! |

Mud muncher. I'm talking with bruvs.
Remember the hand that helped you defy Ciroma. ![]() No Igbo = No support for Jonathan Tread carefully, because there is a North that would love to gain control of this nation again as well as an apathetic S/west.
Quit whining and never attempt a career in politics, cos you're volatile, impatient and quick to judge. All extremely useless qualities in the field of politics. Last week, you were laughing at the SW, I advised you not to, but you opened a 1000 useless threads anyway; this week, you are doing the exact opposite and lamenting instead, again I'm advising you to quit the crap. So much screaming, yet the govt hasn't even been formed. Rubbish. |
Beaf doesn't understand that we are demanding what should rightfully ours.
We last heard such crap from Ciroma, and we hated it. |
@The bolded, Are you saying you believe GEJ/FG/NNPC will no longer support the Olokola FTZ project because Jonathan's victory in the SW was characterised by low voter turnout? The thing dey do me like say make I laugh. . . but I'll resist the urge.
Everything is speculation, but yes, some people raised eyebrows at the low turnout. I don't believe the projects will be stymied, but strings are bound to be attached. . . Ok, maybe not mere strings IMHO (more like marine rope ). Its politics. |
Obiagu1:Dude, everyone is lobbying for one thing or the other. It isn't something of sudden war. The NE were the first to make trouble after the elections (senate presidency), they've since calmed down and supported David Mark; next was the SE (they've now been joined by the NW). Its a big country. |
netghost:Lol! Yo dude! Longest time, how you keeping? |
Seun:You need to advertise for mods or actively headhunt, they aren't going to walk up to you out of the blue. Dude, you've baked a lovely cake, why allow it rot? Before my spirit finally broke (resulting in this thread), I'd been clicking on the link to this section to save me from the madness in the politics section. . . Only to have to scroll through tonnes of yahoo adverts. Things are bad, I'm sure any mod would keep things sane; again, I think you should advertise for mods or actively pm those with the sort of makeup that is ideal. . . .Lastly, seriously sack sagamite! ![]() |
komekn:Its difficult to expect better, when until the present numero uno took over, IBB was our chief defense contractor. GEJ cancelled his last 500billion contract just before he reshuffled the army, if not we would probably have imported catapults, hammers, bows and arrows. . . All for a few million apiece. This shyts got to stop. |
Obiagu1:You are dead wrong! Not one Igbo man has stood up at any PDP National Working Committee to ask for the speakers position. If you have a contrary opinion, please provide proof. But before you fail tho, I'll tell you without flinching, that you are killing yourselves needlessly over a matter that hasn't even been tabled before the PDP. ![]() Go crosscheck and verify it for yourself. Why would GEJ (or SS according to Ezeuche) shaft the SE, to gain what? |
Beaf do not start a "beef" over Jonathan. I would have hoped you would understand the anger that the Ndigbo are feeling due to Jonathan's utterances and actions. This man is not acting very neighborly to those who provided him the bulk of his support. A word of caution. Do not pisss off the Ndigbo. It is enough that we are being ridiculed by the Yoruba and Hausa, but for some groups in the Niger Delta to betray us YET AGAIN. That is the last straw. You have been warned.
I asked you a simple question. Answer it or keep screaming in the vain hope that it would provide results. Here are is one more to show how silly this thread is: Who exactly among the SE PDP politicians put foward a request for speakership to the PDP National Working Committee? Of course, you will find that none did. The PDP National Working Committee is the only arena to sort zoning issues, so if no SE person put the question forward at that level, what are you crying about? It is well known that SE agitations have never been about the speakers position. In fact lets jog your memory a bit, here are a few that PDP and GEJ have been bombarded with:
[li]2015[/li] [li]Greater FG representation[/li] [li]A second bridge over the Niger[/li] [li]Dredging the Niger[/li] [li]Sea and river ports[/li] [li]Solution to erosion[/li] [li]Increased business opportunities[/li]
Any honest person will agree that quite a few items on that list are either on the way, or have been 90% delivered. GEJ has broken a lot of ground in repairing the position of the SE in Nigeria; so, making shrill noises about something that the SE never asked for is just a failed attempt at bullying, and its proponents sound very ungrateful. This SE speaker thing is a mere afterthought. Nobody has even formally requested it, yet we have so many of you bursting their flaps. I wonder what you guys expect other regions to do do, cos GEJ is President to 150 million Christians, Muslims, animists, aetheists, gnostics, Edo, Berom, Gwari, Nok, Ishan etc. |
Of course Beaf would find this thread silly, because he got what he wanted. Is this why the 'South-South' politicians are silent on this zoning controversy. Beaf will not find this thread silly, when it actually happens in GEJ loses all SE support.
We will all be witnesses when you swallow your words YET AGAIN. Its getting to be a bit of a habit. By the way, what exactly are you hoping SS politicians should do? |
Obiagu1:If the Igbo representatitives at PDP meetings are not asking for the speakership, then who is? That is a very important question. The SE leadership within PDP is totally unconcerned with the loud protests you guys are making, so on whose behalf is this noise being made and for what purpose? I challenge you to provide the answers to the above questions. ![]() Lol, the answers will tell you if your needless distress is being used to fill another mans pockets. You posted a statement made by Deziani Allison Madueke at a political rally in Lagos and called it GEJ's energy plan. Does that sound right? It isn't, because it is simply part of a nuanced campaign promise by Deziani Allison Madueke; IT IS NOT GEJ's energy roadmap. In any event, I don't think you believe for one moment that a PDP campaign in the SW would reel out stuff they hope to be carried out in the SE, would you? By the way, that promise might already have been torpedoed by the low election turn out in the SW, making the example invalid; I could have provided links, but I just can't be bothered because this thread is such a let down. |
Maybe she could become the first female VP or even President. The SGF post is even closer to the President than the VP one. |
Please forgive me, but this is one heck of a silly thread. |
enyojo:Low IQ. ![]() |
We simply need to invade Niger and Chad and turn their villages into desert dust. |
The responses of the usual anti-GEJ fools that on this thread is the sort of reason some researchers came to the mistaken conclusion that the average Nigerian has an IQ of 70, one of the lowest Worldwide. It easy to recognise these fools as Buhari supporters, animals who are still clinging to their primitive stoning culture, despite the fact that they have already spilt the blood of 600+ innocent Nigerians. It is saddening to witness such a uncultured spectacle. Some Buhari people - "Its a primitive World, where we tell lies and throw stones and bombs!www.nairaland.com/attachments/402192_neanderthalBuhari_jpg94a5dcb7e8dc00198a7a1091cb279960 |
^ Nah, a regional party isn't the way to go or you leave yourselves at the mercy of outsiders from national parties. I'm sure there's a lot of great stuff coming the SE's way in the next 4 years. Its all about coming in from the cold and matching forward with natural political alliances. |
@bolded, re-read the article. As for ohanaeze, they can shove it. The Igbos can work with GJ from APGA. They do not need to be in PDP to get things done. The center(PDP) needs to be weakened as much as possible anyways.
They are simply lobbying. I can assure you that the threat is as empty as the one from the NE. The NE threatened to use the overwhelming Northern NASS numbers to award themselves the Senate presidency, but they have since calmed down. Individual politicians are jockeying for their pockets, there is no need for the common man to carry their problems and sweat blood for them when there will be no personal gain. |
It is better to open books and actually read for an education than it is to open spurious threads like this one. Next thing, some clever alec would ask why Osama was considered evil. ![]() |
I believe that some Ohaneze members are lobbying for certain things, thats why the confusion. Its normal. |
With the likes of OBJ around, it only makes things worst for him. “We were the founding members of PDP and all zoning arrangements were aimed at ensuring fairness and to create a sense of belonging. It is not to kill some people. So the issue of keeping that position secret is not in the best interest of our people. You do not keep people guessing when things are absolutely going wrong,” Ngige said.
Dude, nothing is going wrong. SE representatives at PDP meetings are absolutely not campaigning for the speaker position, that fight seems to be led by Ohaneze which has no representation within PDP, but is powerful to the man on the street. Like I pointed out, there is a gap in political leadership. The SE needs a giant through whom they can channel their needs, so confusion like this never arises again. |
Beaf, you speak for yourself. Your Jonathan is burning a bridge with the South-East even though we gave him a chance. When the Yoruba and Hausa-Fulani told him no, we stood by him and lent him our support. Now that he is in power, he thinks he can forget us. Hell no! We Igbos have suffered way too many insults for our liking. Enough is enough! We tried to be friends, but it seems that Nigerians only understand force. OBJ is his friend, now let him make his deals with that man. Plus the silence of 'South-South' politicians makes me angry. Mtchew!
You really have a way with hysterics sha! LOLZ! I bet people like you enjoy being the underdog, and hate it when the opportunity is there to pluck the juiciest fruits. SS politicians will say nothing (and they are very right to do that), cos nobody is being shafted, exept the few that imagine it in their heads. Only a fool would say GEJ hasn't committed to the SE and delivered tangible goods in a few short months that no speaker can ever deliver. But I guess there is orgasmic joy in hysterics, so keep the shriek at the highest decibels; maybe the girl across the street will find it attractive or it will achieve some other intangible psychedelic result. |
Nobody will defect anywhere, you guys stop allowing people use your heads to break coconuts just to feather their personal ambitions. Why would anybody conclude that GEJ will burn his support base? Elections are over, but the man needs support for a variety of reasons. So why would he burn bridges, would you if you were in his shoes? It is funny that the very same people that poked fun at the SW are the ones now shouting loudest; it is because they aren't paying attention to two facts. The first being that politicians are lobbying intensely for what they can personally get (you are their unwitting weapon), and the second is that rewards are usually given out of sight (they usually come as roads, ports, opportunities, powerful ministerial posts etc etc). Why would anyone kill themselves over the speaker position? Of all the 5 SE senate presidents (not even speakers), which of theses have brought tangible FG presence to the region? There is still massive erosion, neglect and fvckup everywhere. Even most of the ND is not as fvcked up as certain parts of the East, but it is not because we have ever had a speaker or senate president, rather it is because of the FG. Those posts can do fvckall. There is no political colosus in the SE, that is why this ugly state of affairs can exist. That is the where the real problem is, we need people like Chime, Rochas, Ngige etc to rise above local politics and take on the mantle of wider leadership. If not for the leadership void, we wouldn't be hearing of Ohaneze in a tussle for the speaker position, its not their place at all; the fact that they are the main proponents of the SE speaker, while top SE political representatives at zoning meetings have a totally different take, only speaks of the need for a hierachy of giants through whom the peoples interests can be channelled in unity. It is my prayer that GEJ can help build up a worthy fellow to take on the reigns of SE leadership. It is an urgent task IMHO, that vacuum has been created by years of neglect and needs to be patched. |

GBOA!!! If you are one of them, better desist now, bloody grass munching supporter of murderers. |
LoveKing:I have come to expect stvpid talk from the usual quarters (including those that always sound mad, like kobojunkie). Is it out of being too daft to analyse a topic that you guys make such foolish statements? Or will making foolish statements erase the article from the press? It is difficult to comprehend certain exhibitions of foolishness! What makes matters even worse is the fact that 600+ people were killed in similar circumstances only a couple of weeks ago. But it seems ok for shallow minded indoctrinated sillies to pun away spilt blood like it is some sort of debating toy. Shame on you monsters. |

hercules07:What can be more foolish than commiting murder and expecting the people to blame the police instead of the murderer? A lot of epic foolishness has come out of the Buhari campaign, its foolishness of a degree that would have been comical had it not resulted in tragedy. |
Lol! A thread ram packed with sour grapes and bitter people! |
How is this political?
Cos Fergie is vying for the post of PDP chairman, while his wife who is from the SW is an ACN financier with business interests in Eko Atlantic. ![]() |
