@Beaf, such strong words from you, why? Should I simply put it down to frustration and shame of not being born into a relevant ethnic group? I have watched you come to the defence of the ibos on this site, likewise your voltron work for goodluck. It was this reason that I began to ponder over your indegenity. I actually thought that you were relevant somehow, so, please forgive me for placing you higher than you really are, I mean, you are afterall a mere isoko breed.

I on the other hand, am an indegene of lagos state. I am omo Isale Eko, aromi sa legbe legbe. I am a true daughter of the soil. I'll also let you and others know that: A kii gba akata lowo akiti, a kii gba ile baba eni lowo eni. Awa la l'eko o,
Lol! What would you be without your ethnic group? I keep saying it that ALL ethnic bigots are driven by an inferioty complex (even Hitler). Its the longing to "belong." LOL!
I'm not shocked you are from Isale Eko, that area is rough. It explains your bush behaviour and inferiority complex.

Does fasola gives bursry assistance to lagos ibos ? No do ibos in lagos get federal jobs through lagos ? No ! so what exactly do ibos get from being called lagosians ? Is it just about the building and staying long that matters, what about the privileges ? Even obama has issues with indigenity to show you how serious the issue is or do you think obama birth issue will ever come up if he is not the president ? It came up because he wanted to enjoy the privilege attached to being an american citizen,so its not about staying in lagos alone that matters.

Statistics is really different from realities. Statistics are from indicators, and available database. Over-reliance on statistics fakes up reality. Drowns practicality, and promotes theory. If you are depending on it, then you gat some real problems to handle when you meet the reality on ground.

It beats me why they spew that ignorant rubbish. Does it make them feel good that they are part of something good because they have nothing in their villages back east?

Beaf, Ekiti state is a relatively new state and a non oil producing one. Rather than harping on about their alleged underdevelopment, do you care to boast about your state's achievements? I am not exactly sure if you are ibo or Deltan and for my short stint here, I have only come to know you as goodluck's voltron.

So, beef, care to tell us a bit about you and how much your state has achieved in Nigeria as opposed to Ekiti state?
Ekiti state is surely not the least developed in Nigeria, so why would an Ekiti man have such low self esteem to the extent of claiming Lagos? Sounds like a mental illness to me.
I only want the fool to identify with his roots and stop making foolish statements about Lagos that he has neither ancestral nor blood claims to. If I were you, I'd advice him quietly.

Only a fool disowns his fathers house. Basta'rds can answer any name since they don't know where they come from.

We all know how expensive that type of stuff can be. . . if St Louis wants to become as mighty a port as the port of Houston, no wahala. They should just be willing to spend the money (in this case, probably 10s or 100s of billions of dollars) necessary to make their dream a reality.
Fool. But let every port stand on its own economically. Those ports that are not profitable, the state governments should be the ones making up the difference. Not the FG.

Same for airports too!

And let each state derive the benefits from its ports and airports.

I know that dredging the river niger is going to cost billions of dollars, and an enormous amount of money to maintain after that. If your state government and people want to sink their money in something uneconomical like that, no wahala. It is a free country.

If you did so out of charity rather than the desire to make a profit, fine, you can then claim that.

We have some states here in the US that are economically unattractive but the FG sinks money into them. Those states, one can say that they are being "developed" by the FG.

But Lagos? A city that has been a prominent port since the 1700s? A city the British chose as their seat of government in Nigeria?

That is the one you want to claim you "built"? A city that you only enter to make profit?

Very silly reasoning.
Something very similar happens in Nigeria too. Tell me sir, in your years of struggling through cassava bushes to get home, have you ever seen one viable thing from your state to boast about? No?

Justcash:

Well, just wanted you to know that Igbos played a big part in building Lagos state. I don't know the rate of real estate investments by Igbos, but from my judgement, they are of great deal. I alone have homes and few ware houses in Lagos state. In Banana iseland, where my last investment is, Igbos own majority of the lands there. I also know some areas where Igbos have bought up most lands in Lagos state. So, I feel Igbos invest pretty much in Lagos state.

That being said, Lagos is way more attractive than most Northern, SW and SE states. So, I expect that people that are asking why Igbos don't invest in SE should ask why Yorubas from Ondo, Ekiti, Osun, Oyo etc don't do same in their states.
It is about strategic importance and attractiveness of a place. Lagos have built a reputation as an important investment point, so the huge investment by Nigerians should not be a basis of asking questions about why they don't invest in their home states.
The bit in red is where the Lagos wannabe fool you are talking to is from. He doesn't even talk about his own state, a very sad life indeed.
