Your hypocrisy knows no boundary. The same wikileaks that revealed your Clueless Jonathan for who he really is, you are now quoting to justify your puerile argument. . . . . . you Jonathan apologetics are pathetic. . . . . lol
How does the above agbero input support your argument for Fashola? I'm at a loss! It really appears that many aren't equipped with critical thinking skills, so resort to stone throwing like bush men when their simple minded grunts are defeated.

Fashola is better off minding his business in Lagos, a state that he is scared of losing (after selling everything that moves to himself and Tinubu), hence his increasingly frantic and pathetic calls beyond his station. The man is making ACN's presidential candidate look like a fruit. lol

No wonder GEJ called them rascals, it is now becoming more obvious in their increasingly regional party with its area boy supporters.

@noblezone,
Will you shut up. Where is Ghana today, after flt. Lietanant Jerry Rawlings killed president Hilla liman, and his recycled bunch of corrupt leaders.
Ghana, is where Nigerians run to now for qualitative education. Ghana is stable economically, structurally, with exemplary leadership, second to south Africa.
I didn't see your post condemning obj, in his hey days, mtschwwww.
In Buharis case, he killed innocent people with retrogressive laws; jailed Shagari's Igbo deputy in the worst conditions in Kiri kiri maximum prison, while Shagari (a Fulani like Buhari) was kept under house arrest under very plush conditions in highbrow Ikoyi in Lagos; he jailed Fela for singing about the $2.8billa that was traced to Buharis bank account; he jailed Tai Solarin and refused him treatment for his asthma; he jailed pressmen for simply speaking the truth; he introduced decree 2 that made it possible to jail anybody for no reason and without any sort of legal appeal.

Buhari is a demon.

Is it not ironic that just when people are getting rid of despots all over the Middle East, that you are promoting a Gaddafi like creature of the dark?

Eziachi:
This is a bit of a surprise from you, I thought you would have jumped at the chance for a presidential debate, when your candidate was
, according to you the only educated one among others.
If I remember correctly, you were among those clamouring for a debate during the last gubernatorial election in Anambra state, why is it so bad now in 2011?
Why do you think any one calling for a debate is being ridiculous. I will like to know. Just surprise me please.
I wonder if you thought deeply enough before writing the above. The only persons qualified to call for presidential debates in ACN are its national leaders and presidential candidate. Fashola is only making Ribadu look like a fool.

Dude, Ribadu is the only real ACN person with the credibility to call for a debate with Jonathan, Fashola is only living up to his "rascal" bidding. He is a person who obviously doesn't know his station.

Don't continue to be a dwarf in intellectual reasoning.

Fashola is simply exercising his right as a NIGERIAN from his president.

If that is increasingly ridiculous to you, go to Libya where the citizens only listen to their master.
And I am  exercising my right as a Nigerian to tell him to shut up and mind his state. No? lol

Lagos state came up number 33 out of 36 for providing education infrastructure, yet they are number one in flower planting and gross abandonment of outlying areas like Ikorodu and Epe. And the man has the gall to leave state affairs and reach beyond his regional stature? Laughable.

Many governors are better than him, even in the eyes of foreigners as wikileaks showed; Akpabio was singled out, not Fashola who refused the VP position under Ribadu, cos he was sacared that his uncompleted contract would be used against him! shocked shocked shocked

Being loud is very different from being effective. Fashola should be bothered about what will come after him when the whole Lekki contraption unravels, cos it will; you can't sell Lagos to yourself and Tinubu and hope to detract attention by making agbero calls every few days.

I de laf o!!

Politics › Re: Fg Bars Service Chiefs, Ministers, Others From Use Of Tinted Glasses by Beaf(op): 6:00pm On Feb 25, 2011
Most of the responses here have been bloody silly. In most parts of the World, excessively tinted glasses are banned; it is a crime to have an illegal tint all over the World, and the fact that Nigeria is a jungle where everything goes is far from a pride. Most of those making daft comments here will be the first to make glib claims that corruption is a big problem in the country, yet they wish to remain lawless. Lawlessness breeds corruption.

This is an extract from a BBC article on tinting in the UK where you get pulled over for having the slightest tint (compared to what obtains in Nigeria):

So there you are waiting at the lights in your standard-spec Ford Focus when another car pulls alongside. It appears the driver wants to share his music with you, and the rest of the neighbourhood.

But when you glance around, it seems he doesn't particularly want you to see inside his car. His windows are tinted. They are as dark as his alloy hubcaps are bright.

There are criminals who seek to hide behind the windows - the question is, what have you got to hide?

Over the last two years, police forces as far afield as Northern Ireland, Devon, Manchester and Strathclyde have been cracking down on tinted windows. The law states front windows must allow 70% of light through; the front windscreen 75%.

Yet there are illegal tints out there letting as little as 5% light through. Traffic officers believe such excessive tints are potentially dangerous, particularly at night, and they are increasingly armed with optical meters.

Fashola is sounding increasingly ridiculous. He should mind Lagos state and call for debates between himself and those who are better than him like Amaechi, Dr. Godswill Akpabio etc.

Jonathan, Sambo, Mark, Bankole exempted

By KINGSLEY OMONOBI

ABUJA – The Federal Government, yesterday, announced the ban of the use of tinted glasses by Nigerians, including the Service Chiefs, the Inspector General of Police, ministers, members of the National Assembly, Judges and other top government officials.

Minister of Police Affairs, Mr Humphrey Abah, who made the announcement, yesterday, however noted that President Goodluck Jonathan, Vice President Namadi Sambo, Senate President David Mark and his deputy, Speaker of the House of Representatives and his deputy as well as state governors and their deputies were exempted from the use of tinted glasses.

Explaining reasons for the ban, which is to commence from Monday, the minister said the measure was part of security strategies being put in place to guarantee security in the build up to the April general elections to “help us overcome the challenges of modern crimes like bombings, terrorists acts and the movement of arms and explosives.”

Disclosing that by his announcement, all hitherto permits or authorisation given in the past for the use of tinted glasses stood cancelled, the minister stated that vehicles with factory fitted tinted glasses which are verifiable would be exempted from the ban in the interim.

He said the government action was covered under the Motor Vehicles Prohibition of Tainted Glass Act Cap M21 (An Act to prohibit the tainting or treating in any other way, any glass fitted in a motor vehicle so as to render persons in the vehicle obscure or invincible), adding that all states Police Commissioners are to ensure strict compliance with the directive.

On punitive measures to be meted out to those who ignore the government directive, the minister said any such violator would have him or herself to blame as Policemen at checkpoints had been given directives to stop such cars and physically remove such tints from the vehicles once it is discovered to be fitted films.

LAGOS — Immediate past Governor of Lagos State, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, opened up on those behind the failure of the proposed alliance between the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, and Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, saying the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, frustrated the move through some of its agents, who clandestinely crept into the process.

Tinubu made the declaration at a stakeholders’ meeting in Lagos, where he said the leadership of the ruling PDP sponsored some people on contract who participated in the talks to ensure that the process was not successful because of the possible threat of ousting them from power through the alliance.

Tinubu said: “The PDP paid some people to frustrate the party’s effort because it knew that if the alliance should work, the PDP would be swept out of office. This is why the ruling party worked against the alliance through its agents planted within.

On Ribadu’s running mate

Also at the forum, Tinubu explained what led to the emergence of Mallam Nuhu Ribadu’s running mate, saying former Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and the incumbent Commissioner of Economic Planning and Budget, Pastor Ben Akabueze, were presented to be Ribadu’s running mate from the inception of the presidential race.

But Tinubu said the party leadership ruled against Osinbajo because he was in the same legal profession with Ribadu, explaining that the party insisted that two legal professionals could not hold two strategic positions in the country, and favoured instead any candidate with requisite experience in managing economy.

“Akabueze was subsequently contacted to be Ribadu’s running mate because of his experience in economic planning and budget management. But he rejected the offer because he claimed he had not decongested his table, which he described as tough and herculean task, and was not ready to add any additional one.

“We need somebody with the vast knowledge of the economy and budget planning who can explain economic theories according to the realities of the time. That is how we succumb to the choice of former Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of Guarantee Trust Bank (GTB), Mr. Fola Adeola,” he said.
