^ Take your stupeed talk to the newspaper that reported the news and INEC that made the announcement. Why do you people sound so daft all the time? . . .BTW, Fashola will end up in PDP or LP at the worst. |
Ribadu has been used. |
ACN In Dilemma Over Presidential Election Written by Adewale Ajayi, Lagos Saturday, 12 February 2011 The statement by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that the document of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) candidate, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, was missing has cast doubt over the keenness of the party to participate in the presidential election. It is uncertain if Ribadu would be allowed by his party to forge ahead with his presidential ambition. The initial plan of the party was to work out an alliance with the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) which would see former Lagos State governor, Senator Bola Tinubu, being the running mate of the CPC presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari. Since the alliance talks hit the rocks, the feeling had been that ACN would support another party in the presidential election rather than going into it headlong. Some chieftains of the party told Saturday Tribune that they were in the dark as to the plan of the party for the presidential election. They said decisions in the party were made by a clique. According to one of them, he had been sidelined and he was never privy to what was going on in the party. He said since he was not given a sense of belonging, he had chosen to remain quiet on issues affecting the party. Another chieftain, who did not want his name in print, said it was unfortunate that they (leaders in the party) had been left in the dark as to what the plan of the party was for the presidential election. He noted that they were not briefed on why the alliance talks with the CPC broke down, just as he bemoaned a situation whereby the party would go into the presidential election solely. Another source in the party affirmed that the party was desirous of participating in the presidential election. He said that the failure of the alliance weakened the party, but that did not translate into chickening out of the presidential race. Speaking on the development, National Publicity Secretary of the party, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said INEC was being mischievous by saying that the document of its presidential candidate was not found. He said ACN was among the first political parties to submit documents of their presidential candidates. Mohammed maintained that the party was keen on participating in the presidential race and there was no going back. He added that the party’s candidate was also keen on taking part in the election and he had since started working on his campaign http://www.tribune.com.ng/sat/index.php/front-page-articles/3303-acn-in-dilemma-over-presidential-election.html |

ACN's policy of ditching primaries for the less brain taxing sharing of party spoils to friends, family and girlfriends is beginning to take a toll on the party. |
Ogun governorship candidate dumps party By Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji February 11, 2011 10:14PM Ogun State governorship candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria, Ibikunle Amosun, on Friday dumped the party which has just concluded arrangements to begin its campaign tour across the state. Mr. Amosun’s sudden decision hit the state like thunder. His Media Aide, Bola Adeyemi revealed that he {Amosun} has defected to the Congress for Progressive Change whose presidential candidate is the former head of state, Muhammadu Buhari. Sources said the decision to leave the party followed allegations that the party hierarchy failed to fully incorporate his supporters in the sharing formula of elective posts. He alleged that apart from the governorship slot given him, all other elective posts were given to a faction of the party who were members of the old Action Congress (AC) that metamorphosed into Action Congress of Nigeria {ACN}. Mr Adeyemi said that “some of the candidates presented to the Independent National Electoral Commission are unknown personalities who could not win election but were favoured by ACN leadership at the expense of credible and sellable ones.” A source who prefers to be anonymous argued that, “they gave him only (4) four House of Assembly members, no senate or house of representatives seat and the deputy governor, Segun Adesegun was also impressed on him. “All they want is to unclothed him, they don’t want him to have a say in the government, they want him to be a toothless governor,” he said. Efforts to speak with Mr. Amosun proved abortive, and party leaders were said to be at a crucial meeting to find his replacement. http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/News/Metro/Politics/5676774-146/ogun_governorship_candidate_dumps_party.csp |
honeric01:Who cares if Buhari is married to a Buddhist, native doctor or Muslim? Nobody gives a damn, Osama Bin Ladens son is one hell of a fashionable, non-Muslim dude; his niece poses semi-unclothed all over the place and his family are big business people into the high life. Has any of that stopped Osama from being the devils darling? Una no get sense, next thing we will start hearing he is about to marry a cow, therefore he doesn't eat meat. Daft. |
juman:I know! What I find odd with these fellows is the abysmally low levels of intelligence they display. How can a fully developed adult call God a f**l just because he wants to badmouth the President in an ethnically bigoted way? NL never fails to deliver surprises, but this one? I don't even have words for it; they say, when a dog is about to lose its life, it stops hearing its masters voice. |
GenBuhari:Its a lie. Buhari's wife is a born again Muslim. The only Christian close to Buhari is his driver. But so what if his wife is Christian or born again? Is that a leadership quality that makes him more eligible than others? What is your exact point? Fresh Air 2011!!! |
playboy19:Did you have br3ast milk as a kid? It helps the formation of a healthy brain, you know? How about adding secession to your obviously stunted vocabulary? Such little improvements will lift you above agbero and rewire level. You wish to see your President crying and call that a figure of speech? Bloody OPC member. Thats a meat sellers figure of speech. ![]() www.nairaland.com/attachments/180447_ROTFLMAO_gif3d0c775232c7f27cf80592785b9635b6 |
playboy19:My small toe is smarter than your entire village (short, ugly chief and all). ![]() What have you contributed to the topic if you aren't some semi-evolved baboon? What sort of fool wants to see his President in tears? I've never heard anything so daft. |
Tcrack:You are the stupeed one. If a state does not respect the FG, it might as well secede. Its that simple, Fashola should address his mates like Oshiomole etc. The only person with the right to challenge GEJ in ACN is Ribadu, but a dunce like you wouldn't realise that Fashola has stepped on the whole ACN heirachy, not just at Nigeria which they don't seem to care about. I say again, if Fashola wants to secede, then let him throw down the gauntlet and see how quickly he will recant. Nonsense. We do not live in an anarchy where governors are free to become agbero's. |
1 United:Thanks for the compliment, but please don't sign off. Election season is silly season, but it helps you and I know our country better. |
alani74:OPC. |
manny4life:Simple. His behaviour can only appeal to OPC types. If he wants to secede, let him make the attempt instead. The man has crossed the line. |
The day Nigeria breaks up will be a funny day indeed! Peeps like Buhari will become warlords for their areas, while they fight to the finish with their neighbours over who will be the next mugu for their cabals to tranfer their parasitic attention to. That day, many will suddenly realise the favour the rest of the country has done in hosting their vast almajiri population. On that day they will realise what a burden those 10 million urchins really are. . . A population greater than two thirds of the Worlds countries figures. It will be a day when an almighty scramble for tickets and visa's to the new El Dorado across the Southern borders will begin in earnest. A day of solemn realisation, chest beating and gnashing of teeth as the despised former country women and men begin to look like gods overnight. What a day that will be! ![]() |
10cirenoh:What a donkey! Hehe! I'm not from Bayelsa, so you are the FOOL here! And regardless of how you look at it, my state is better than your dump. Thank God! You claimed to be from the SS and instead you have been shown to be a crusty arsed parasite whose state produces fvkall, yet you can open your parasitic mouth to lash those that feed you and who you have perpertrated human rights abuses against for half a century. Dude, whats the name of your fvking parasitic state na? ![]() Is it too hard to tell us? Lets know whether you add value to Nigeria or if your states "other source of income" is from the export of your women to Italy (underage and overage, young and old, unmarried and married). Dunce. |

Sky Blue:You owe me an apology. The Lagos State governor was said to have argued at the meeting with Ribadu that he had so many unfinished works in the state and that his successor in 2011 might use the non completion of some projects to blackmail him.http://www.tribune.com.ng/sun/index.php/news/1872-why-fashola-rejected-ribadu-ticket-tinubus-strategy-fails-pitfalls-in-ribaduoshiomhole-alliance Fashola reportedly told Ribadu that he had so many unfinished works in the state and that his successor in 2011 might use the non completion of some contracts to blackmail him.http://allafrica.com/stories/201008100376.html |
Per capita rankings are more useful for the sake of comparison. Lagos will always be #1 if you look at raw GDP, simply because it is far more populated than the other states, while having a very solid economic base (essentially, a plurality of the finance, manufacturing, shipping etc in Nigeria is in or around Lagos.) A bit sad how low Bayelsa is ranked, despite all the oil wealth at its disposal.
That is because, despite Nigeria's first oil well being discovered there, the country and its military regimes never sought to develop the place. The shame is so great that Bayelsa only got connected to the national electricity grid in 2006, yet the state easily produces some 40% of Nigeria's forex. That is how disgraceful Nigeria's parasitic behaviour has been toward that state. We live in a wicked country where the parasite scoffs and spits on the victim. |
LoveKing:Maybe a president of the SW only. There are more mature performing governers in the likes of Chime, Amaechi and Akpabio. In fact wikileaks named Akpabio as the one the US reckons with as best in Nigeria; thats an unbiased opinion. Fashola just shot himself in the foot. |
justokey:Yes its true that every ethnic group benefits from Lagos, but the sort of low grade politics Fashola is playing only panders to ethnic sentiment and his party has been using ethnicity as an election tool in recent times. For example, they came up with a report on employment in Bayelsa alone. Its easy to tie up the direction a politician is headed down and a man like Fashola that one hopes will one day gain a national standing, only wounds himself mortally with such low blow politics. A very daft move from fashola indeed, like ACN, he doesn't seem to be able to project himself beyond his immediate region and guage how others would react. Yes, GEJ gaffed like any human does every once in a while; but for Fashola to come out with this deep disrespect for Nigeria after days makes his crime much worse. Fashola is better of attempting to secede to really gain the FG's attention. |
Delta state will soon overtake Rivers and Lagos. We have been growing impressively and have moved from number 5 to number 3 in a few short years. Delta no de carry last. kpata kpata na draw. ![]() |
The news paper article is one of the weirdest pieces of poor reporting to have ever surfaced. PDP in Kaduna is factionalised and the faction that lost out in the primaries expressed their displeasure (which will not change the results anyway) and left the rally. How does that translate to PDP losing Kaduna? Even Kwankwaso is still firmly in PDP, so whats the big deal with people enlarging the story to pleasure themselves? I laugh. GEJ will sweep Kaduna and every North Central state. The North East will go 50-50. |
10cirenoh:What is the name of your state, because these days even Zamfara people claim SS. Charlie, what is the name of your state? The only none PDP states in the SS are Edo and Ondo and sorry to say, but they feed off Bayelsa. The only states that can point a finger at Bayelsa are Sokoto, Lagos and ND states. Yours does not qualify (whatever it is). It is even doubly foolish when it is considered that the figures we are talking about are some voodoo emanating from the ethnically based party called ACN. Dude, in truth, you are just a bloody parasite that is laughing at its victim. Bayelsa feeds your fvking state. |
Hehe! Mr Bayo Adewale Omoisaleko Ribadu . . . Fomerly Fulani from Adamawa state. ![]() |
10cirenoh:You were born a dunce. The so called report is from ACN; Charlie, do you know how to read at all? ![]() Bayelsa feeds you and I, in fact anybody asking what Bayelsa produces is a fool. What does your state produce that Bayelsa has to feed you, sand and almajiri's or what? Ain't you ashamed? Why pick on Bayelsa, why not your own remarkably useless state? |
By their utterances you will know them. Johndoe100 (abi wetin you call ureself sef), so Fashola should challenge Amaechi to a debate, why? To contest for Governorship of their State? Man, these Gej followers. . . .
So why would he challenge the FG if he isn't daft and only acting to please OPC and other small-minded regional types like them? What sense is there in challenging the FG, why not bloody attempt to secede? Thats the only way the FG will take up his challenge. |
Johndoe100:Exactly! He has the PDP candidate in Lagos to debate, but he is seeking cheap publicity instead by making foolish challenges to the FG. As for the like of Ameachi, Akpabio and Chime; they will knock him out in any debate. His mickey mouse challenge is only of value to OPC, afenifere and his regional party. |
If a state governor challenges the FG, why not as well declare independence? Why not secede? Who the fvk is he? It is foolishness beyond measure from Fashola, the man has lost respect from across the country. If he wants to remain a small backwoods player in a regional party, thats fine; but he should not attempt to drag the rest of the country into the foolishness. The FG does not belong to Lagos and he is insulting all Nigerians. If he has a grouse with PDP in Lagos, is he scared of Ade Dosunmu, the PDP man at his level and looking for the most stupeed excuses to seem like a man under ethnic seige? He is quite small-minded indeed. If Fashola is that full of himself that he thinks he is now some sort of god, let him secede. Pull Lagos out of Nigeria and face the federal might, lets see if his ethnically based politics will save that situation. |
The whole thing is beginning to sound foolish and despesrate. When did governors start challenging the FG to debates, I have lost the respect I had for Fashola. Let him continue with the small minded ACN's thinly veiled ethnic staunts. The only thing left for him to declare as a bigot is call GEJ ***chukwu, we all know it sounds like an Igbo name and signifies hatred of Igbo's; so best to paint GEJ as an Igbo. Shame on ACN, the new Ciroma's of the South. |
