When Delta state peeps capture Bornu state, we will sell alj harem to the lowest bidder!!! ![]() |
Okokomaiko sounds like an Urhobo exclamation, Ikebe is the Urhobo word for arse used by Lagosions. . . Therefore, Urhobo people own Lagos. ![]() |
Shame, Buhari seems to fight any thing that moves. |
freegaza:For your info, the only Northern states I am yet to visit are Sokoto, Zamfara and Kebbi. In the South, I have just Akwa Ibom. Just after I left school, I used to trade certain goods in Kano and along the West African Coast. I wonder why I'm so damn ignorant about Nigeria?!! LOL! The almajiri institution is child abuse of the grossest sort. It is only supported by the mafia who see the poor kids, not as humans, but as expendable weapons. Those children must be housed and educated. Big ups to GEJ! . . .By the way, pay close attention to the link I posted earlier, you'll find that the minister who gave the 10 million figure for the almajiri population is a Northerner, so she knew what she was talking about (by your standards). Here's the link again: http://www.leadershipnigeria.com/index.php/news/cover-stories/8792-10m-kids-beg-in-the-north--minister I might be "ignorant," but ccording to a census carried out by Kano state government in 2003, in Kano alone were are a whopping 1,486,000 almajiri's. Now, 2003 was some 8 years ago; serious food for thought! It is a good thing GEJ has approached this problem with cunning and diplomacy, because many would have risen up in arms, cos their "weapons" were being humanised and given hope in life. Yes! In todays Nigeria, almajiri's can begin to aspire. ![]() |
freegaza:Ya! Thats true! Poor ignorant us! What we surely know though, is that the almajiri system is an institution propped up by members of an unscrupulous mafia as a tool of terror in case their pockets are threatened by law, order, equity and justice. Many will rise against those who wish to put an end to it. This is the picture is not about child abuse, no! Its of a well off educated almajiri in front of one of his tens of houses. He is just pretending: www.nairaland.com/attachments/228931_almajiri_jpg3b717fb76953051fdc484005e071f01b Here are more almajiri's pretending to be poor, this time, in Lagos. I wonder how the ignorant photographer took a picture of them outside the North? Damn! www.nairaland.com/attachments/115155_ug_JPGe0e0bfaf971c070f8c9541c1578a1273 It is wickedness to belittle the almajiri problem or condemn concrete govt action to liberate 10 million suffering and grossly abused kids. |
^ Ezeagu are you from Delta? |
You just dey carry aggros come? Check the title of the thread again. It's The itshekiri already joined with Ilajes to lay claim on Ughelli and Sapele. I heard Warri and Agbor is next.
I'm sure you're joking sha. But its a very expensive joke. Urhobo and Igbo are the biggest groups in Delta state by a very large margin, but thank God for the wisdom he has blessed the state with (Urhobo wayo), we have a state that is not only peaceful, but the only one in Nigeria governed by a small minority. It will be Igbo's next, then Isoko or Ijaw. Whereas, the Igbo and Uhrobo could keep it as a birthright as occurres in the ethnically bigoted politics that is tearing the wider country apart.Small minds like Jasons (who doesn't even know the name of his village) cannot see this and keep looking back to periods when the Itsekiri were basically facing extermination. Thanks to our politics, Delta state is the best in the country; we have the highest standard of living, we almost always produce the top JAMB results, we own vast sections of Nollywood, banking and the Nigerian press; and despite being marshy, we are arguably the most industrialised after Lagos. All hail wayo!!! ![]() Anyways, the above is the reason why Delta state should not be mentioned when discussing the politics of bigotry, cos we are leagues beyond that. |
Painful truth be told; the Naira has no real worth. Oil is our main foreign currency earner, and its traded in dollars. We manufacture basically zilch and export zero services, so where is the value of the Naira to come from? Dude, its just paper we print for internal trade ONLY. . . And bingo! Thats why it must be pegged against currencies that have real value. The long and short we can make of the IMF's position, is they can bin their rubbish suggestions. The Naira is like one of those rabbits magicians pull out of hats; it can have absolutely any value our local politics/society decides, it can be any colour we like, damn, we can even make it out of wood! |
Please, nobody mention Delta state no matter what you are sniffing. |
Someone should organise a love fest between Ribadu and Ciroma. The poor thing sounds really jealous of Atiku' s concensus status. LOL! |
Get thee behind me devil beaf/feab/Ma j blidge/karl max. you dont worth my time!!!
I glad that I scare the pants of NL's minority dunce population! I wouldn't normally give you time of day, cos you're denser than a lead knob. What sort of deficient "intelligence" does not rate the alamjiri crisis as important? You called me, so here I am to knock the crap out of your pants. It is only to the Worlds dimmest bulbs, that having 10 million almajiri's is not a crisis of tectonic proportions. To put things in proportion, we have 10 million kids roaming the streets without parental love and care, we have 10 million urchins that will kill for the price of a loaf of bread; 10 million who will contribute NOTHING to Nigeria's economy, now or in the future, they will always be an economic drain and a security risk. Even more stark than the above is that if the almajiri's formed a nation, it would be around number 80 out of 224 nations by population size. The following industrialised countries all have a smaller population than Nigeria's almajiri's; Ireland, Norway, Finland, Singapore, Denmark, Hong Kong, Israel, Sweden and a couple more. You probably are one of the dunces that thinks almajiri is a good thing. Shame on you. When we weave, bob, duck and jab until you intellectually until you are in mental limbo, the right thing to do acknowledge our awesome wonder. That’s what civilised people do. But these days, NL is producing amazing and astonishing agbero’s like you sir, so no biggies; indeed, many will admire your brazen and unparalleled foolishness; dude, you should be a tourist attraction, no doubt, a lot of money will be made!! ![]() |

ping pong:Yes o! Goodluck to everybody! ![]() |
ayubam:Yes, talk is "cheap." But have you ever placed your life on the line for the betterment of Nigeria the way the likes of Wole Soyinka, Tai Solarin, Gani Fawehinmi, Fela Kuti etc have done REPEATEDLY? Talk is indeed "cheap." Be simple, honest, dedicated and humble in your approach; recognise great men for what they are. Fresh Air 2011!! |

Dude, I've been busy and on the road. How your side? |
Matters in Jos are one front in a war that is being waged between the old backward and conservative hegemonists and the new younger progressives. The Fulani hegemonists do not agree because, Jos is the spearhead of a political agenda to to terrorise the North Central into submission and keep cabal "politics" of "one North" on the straight. The North Central is not the only area targetted in this fashion; in the North East, the vehicle employed with the help of Arabic speaking foreigners against the mainly the kanuri (a sizeable minority at 2 million) for the same purpose is innocently called Boko Haram. The only way the whole country will progress is with the liberation of the North from the iron grip of its elistist hegemonistic mafia. The FG's plan to educate the almajiri must not be allowed to falter, because the almajiri are a ready army of deliberately under-educated urchins; take that away and the mafia's mass action tool is gone. The other tool that must be taken care of are nomadic cattle rearers; their nomadic lifestyle must be banned, while they are kept on settlements to which they can be traced, domesticated and educated. The hegemonists last tool of terror is the army. It must be made to be demographically representative of Nigeria's ethnic make up, we cannot afford the current situation where the army is top-heavy with the Hausa - Fulani; this becomes starkly apparent in conflicts like in Jos where the Fulani control a faction (the Hausa). In such situations, because of the lop-sided demographics of the officer cadre, the supposedly "federal" army takes on an outrightly partisan hue. The army needs to be totally rebuilt from the ground up. Nigeria will only have a chance at developing and Jos will only have peace when the cabal has been broken. |
Federal council approves 2,600mw Mambilla power project By Elizabeth Archibong February 17, 2011 02:00AM The federal government yesterday estimated a total of $4 billion on the Mambilla power project expected to generate 2,600 mega watts of power in 2018. The final detailed engineering design, project management and supervision of the project, which had continuously been turned down was eventually approved at the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC), which was presided over by President Goodluck Jonathan, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The conclusion of work on the engineering design and project management, which was awarded at a cost of $37.2million, is expected to kickoff fully before the end of 2011. Fielding questions from journalists after the FEC meeting which lasted for about an hour, the minister of state for power, Nuhu Wya, said the approval of the Mambilla project was a major milestone in the history of power generation and distribution in the country. “This is a major milestone, which will give the one single project in the electricity sector a minimum of 2,600 mega watts of power all coming from the same station. It will be a major milestone in the history of this country,” he said. “The project has been on the drawing board and Mr. President has come out and held the bull by the horn and has now unravelled mystery behind Mambilla. He has done all the studies that needed to be done. This time, he has commissioned a consultant to do the final detailed study, which will now enable any potential investor that will partner with the federal government to see this as a well-crafted project because of its magnitude, all the details have been consummated and now ready to fly”. Key initiative Speaking on how much the project is expected to cost, he said “the rough estimate for it is about $4 billion. The money will come partially from Federal Government funding and international financing”. Mr. Wya also diclosed that one of Brazilian’s power companies had already shown interest in investing in the multi-purpose project and that Mr. Jonathan had set up a committee to commence discussions on the modality for the involvement of the company. The minister of information and communications, Labaran Maku, said the contract was first brought to council for deliberation in January 2011, but was suspended because of the complaint raised by some of the companies who bidded for the projects. He explained that the Mambilla project hydroelectric power project “is one of the key initiatives of the federal government towards improving energy security in the country”. FEC also approved the variation order on contract for the construction of 338mw Egbema power plant project under the Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited, to accommodate three additional gas turbines and combined cycle operation to raise expected generation to 675MW, at a cost of $54.645 million. The contract for the construction of the Egbema power plant project was first awarded in 2006 at a cost of $128,366,751.74 million. http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/News/Metro/Politics/5678015-147/story.csp |
This is what Ribadu's name has paid for; because of his association with people of questionable character, all sorts of crabs, thieves and drug lords can suddenly begin to sprout unusual levels of courage to walk in daylight and uncork unmitigated amounts of verbal immorallities. Someone please put Tinubu in jail where he belongs. ![]() |
youngmonie: ![]() Lolz! Vote ACN!! Cast your vote for an ethnically bigoted drug baron, vote in the ACN candidates; Tinubu's wife, Tinubu's kids, Tinubu's inlaws, Tinubu's girlfriends and Tinubu's family friends!!! Unu go wound pesin o! ![]() |
^ Damn! ![]() How does that qualify him to become the President of Nigeria? . . .Anyways, why does she still dress in hijab? Is she a born again Muslim as well? Lol |
Joe50:Ask me o! |
Its a funny World where ethnically bigoted drug barons compare and recommend "good" men to the population. Tinubu belongs in jail. |
doyin13:That is left for him to decide. For your info, Buhari is married to a Muslim, nobody is taken in by the lies told here that he is married to a Xtian. Its only his driver thats a Xtian. |
“I can assure you that we will take back Lagos, Ekiti and Osun; we will control the entire South-West. Lagos is important to us and I am happy that we have presented our flag to a capable candidate, [Dr Ade] Dosunmu. The entire South-West is too important, too sophisticated and too educated to be in the hands of rascals,”-GEJ What is so wrong with the statement above, except to fools? Why a drug baron like Tinubu, whose mind is likely adled beyond measure should insult Niger Deltans is beyond me. ACN is indeed a regional party that is not only small minded, but ethnically bigoted and led by rascals. To Tinubu, Niger Deltans are drunken fishermen who venture on land to seek favours from "genuine" Nigerians; is there it any surprise that ACN is condemned to being a regional party with little consequence outside the SW? Has'nt anyone told Tinubu the incredibly obvious, that there is no Nigeria without the ND? Ethnic bigotry is Nigeria's biggest problem. Tinubu stands condemned. |
As always, Wole Soyinka is on the button as far as truth is concerned. Buhari would be in jail in any country, but Nigeria. Let us not spit on the efforts of tai Solarin, gani fawehimin, Fela and many others who spoke out when others trembled. Avoid Buhari, he is a monster. |
This article is a new spelling for the word "DESPERATION!" LOLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!! ![]() |
"A ruling party should not have done such things in front of the whole nation. Have you taken time to read what they sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)? That is what we should be complaining about, not talking about those improving the lives of their people. I am proud I have joined what they call the rascals."- Nuhu Ribadu If Ribadu's particulars were not submitted to INEC, then the above comment might be a ghost that haunts forever. However, I'm inclined to believe that INEC might have made an error. |
