Big B1: Jonathan is a good man, a great Nigeria, but not the right man for the job.
We need a leader that can not be intimidated by anyone on this planet, a leader that can make his own decision, a leader that completely understands the importance of unity, a leader that has records of great accomplishments, a leader that is tough like a dragon, a leader that can clearly express himself and more than anything else, a leader that has a complete respect of all Nigerians. Jonathan is not this leader; For the love of God, Mr president should step down immediately! Dude, if war is what you want. War you will get. Nobody is born to rule this country, you people produce nothing, yet you wish to threaten those that feed you. |

Big B1: Right from Sahara reports:
What we need is a respected and fear Leader
Submitted by Nigerian1 on January 1, 2011 - 01:34. The problem with Jonathan is that from day one of assuming office as the President, he did not pull up his big boy pants and show the elite class that their is a new cherrif in town. Instead he continue to appease them and bow his head just like he use to as their errand boy. These people did not waste any time in twisting and molding him as they're pleased. Nigeria is in the same state it is now as during the leadership vaccum created by UMYA sickness. This President is just assuming the name nothing more, those in the higher rank in PDP are in charge of what should be in the country.
If for ethnic reason this man is allow/elected to continue in office God knows we are in for a terrible ending as no one from the top respect the man. Dude, let me advice you and those of you pushing politics of blood. We will overcome you. goggs: the problem will not likely be solved with division if we have selfish leaders. Look at some states with relatively fantastic allocations but terrible mismanagement, look at others will less and seroius development going on. While separation may sound appealing, its not the magic wand to solve our problems. Its an attractive option I am gravitating towards but I know unless fundamental changes are effected our resultant countries or regions can be as small as Liberia and yet be killing ourselves or be as big and complex as South africa and yet be stable and prosperous. THERE IS NO MAGIC BULLET There is a magic bullet and its called true federalism. It is wise for every Nigerian to learn what it means. |

"A saying goes, if na pure water u they sell, be the very best at it and I tell u, u'd leave a mark on History, long after you're gone, where ppl will say, "there lay the remains of the greatest pure water seller",my point: using the word "There is no future for most making the mistake of jumping on the Oracle bandwagon these days", sounds rather harsh, "Oracle DBA" may or may not be losing it's validity, nevertheless, I think if u're very good at what u do, there's always a bright future ahead of u. You asked for advice and I gave guru level advice. If you don't like it, hop on the bus. Nobody has their ambition set so low as to be compared with selling pure water. Yesterday, punched cards were all the vogue, even though thats now prehistoric, there are still machines that use them. I wonder if you advice a loved one to learn how to programme punched cards, because they can be good "pure water sellers." Dude, the programming field is 100% logical and you will quickly find that there is no time for pure water analogies, its either it is or it aint. Black and white rules the roost, not some fairy tale World of pure water. Akainzo: Obviously, you lack comprehension. From the states will come over 1500 (with each state contributing), then add the NASS assembly members, you'd get over 2000. That is the meaning of my post and it clearly stated that there are more than 2000 delegates to decide who wins the PDP ticket.
This is against your assertion that the primaries is a waste of time as only a few dozen delegates from the states would decide. You clearly would lie being Beaf if that would get you support for GEJ. Who do you think you can fool with your backtracking, eh? Wrestler! Stop pretending not to understand English suddenly, would you have understood if I'd said it in Hausa? Dim bulb. Guy, admit the obvious, you are a pure dunce. Ok, lets give you the benefit of the doubt that you actually meant 2000 in total as you are now claiming; we add abuja and help you with the math, and discover that its 54 delegates approx per state by your own figures! The PDP primaries is made up of over 1500 delegates from each state of the federation and the elected party members in the National Assembly ==> Over 2000 delegates! I calmly told you to do the math on your fingers and toes, because the whole North East has a total of 501. Donkey, the North East is not a village, in fact it consists of quite a few states. But, instead of quietly recanting, you are revelling in your loud id!ocy. Its a mistery! If this weak president wins, we are gonna be in dire straits in Naija. Yes, when GEJ wins, it will spell the end for your thieving cabals and spillers of innocent blood. Your beloved thief, Atiku is dooooooooooooooooooooooomed! 2 PDP Members Launch Legal Bid to Stop Atiku •This is mockery of judiciary, says campaign organisation From Tobi Soniyi in Abuja, 12.21.2010
A day after associates of Alhaji Abubakar Atiku went to court in a bid to stop President Goodluck Jonathan from contesting in the 2011 elections, his own candidacy has also become a subject of judicial battle.
Two-time gubernatorial aspirants in Adamawa and Taraba States, Mr. Bala Takaya and Senator Abdullahi Kirim, respectively yesterday asked an Abuja High Court sitting in Maitama to issue an order stopping Atiku from contesting in the presidential primary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
They are inviting the court to move in their favour on the grounds that Atiku is disqualified by both the PDP’s constitution and the 1999 constitution to seek election into any elective office in the country on account of his alleged antecedents touching on corruption.
By the fresh timetable released by the secretariat of the ruling PDP last week, the presidential primary is scheduled for January 13, next year.
The two plaintiffs who want Atiku barred from presenting himself for the political party’s primary election alleged that the former vice-president was dismissed from the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) on account of corruption and the findings in February 2010 of the United States of America Senate Permanent Sub-Committee on Investigations/ Committee of Homeland Security and Government Affairs which investigated him on allegations of money laundering and other corrupt practices of some foreign officials in the US which indicted him.
They argued that his dismissal and the recent indictment by the US were enough grounds to disqualify him since both the nation’s constitution and the PDP constitution forbid anybody with such dirty record from contesting election into elective offices.
Besides, the two aggrieved politicians are also seeking a separate court order compelling PDP to probe and verify the various allegations of dishonest practices including alleged receipt of $2 million bribe from Siemens AG through his wife.
They asked the court to come down heavily on him if found guilty of the allegations.Takaya and Kirim invoked the original jurisdiction of the Abuja court via a writ of summons.
Although the case is yet to be assigned to any judge for hearing, the plaintiffs have, in the interim, filed a motion on notice for an interlocutory injunction restraining the PDP from screening or clearing Abubakar to contest the PDP’s presidential primary.
They are also asking the court to issue another interlocutory injunction restraining Abubakar from presenting himself for screening or clearance for the presidential primary.
In the suit, only the PDP and Abubakar were named as defendants.Detailing the reasons why they were involving the court to stop Abubakar from contesting the poll in a 31-point affidavit, they said his emergence as a president in the country would draw the nation backward.
For instance, the plaintiffs averred that “between 1969 and 1989, Atiku Abubakar rose to become the Deputy Director of Customs and was dismissed following the findings of a panel of inquiry that recommended his dismissal.
“That in February 2010, the USA Senate Permanent Sub-Committee on Investigation Committee of Homeland Security and Government Affairs carried out investigation on the money laundering and other corrupt practices of some foreign officials in the USA in line with the strict moral code and integrity within which that country operates.
“That the findings of the said Senate Committee showed clearly that Atiku Abubakar was the source of the over 440m dollars brought into the USA over a period of 8 years (2000-2008) through more than 30 accounts and both questioned the nature and source of Atiku’s wealth as well as found that the allegation by the SEC that Ms Douglas received over $2 million in bribe payments from Siemen AG intended part for her husband cannot be dismissed.
“That the report showed how Atiku along with his fourth wife, one Ms Jennifer Douglas Abubakar, an American citizen , engaged in acts which have thoroughly embarrassed Nigeria as a country.
“That Atiku was invited by the Senate Committee for questioning but that he declined the invitation.“That since he was invited for questioning by the said US Senate Committee, he has never set his foot in the USA for fear of being arrested.
"And that Atiku Abubakar’s spouse, Jennifer Douglas-Atiku has also relocated to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and has not set foot in the USA since she appeared before the US Senate Committee."
Meanwhile, the Atiku Campaign Organisation told THISDAY on phone last night that the case was "ridiculous". A spokesman of the organisation said the court case "is a mockery of judiciary. We know where this is coming from and we are surprised that President Jonathan will lend himself to an abuse of court process.” Atiku has consistently denied allegations of corruption, insisting that they are politically motivated.

oyb: the last time i checked, there was a country called nigeria. all nigerians , not just 'pdp members' have a stake in the nation's future.
a debate is one of the first ways to identify what candidiates really stand for, and how they are under pressure
all this meandering and blathering says one thing - gej cannot live up to your hype
no one to ghostwrite debate points the way its done with fb posts
and from a president who is running his mouth on education etal, what better way to start
a smart, capable president with smart, capable backers would see this as a golden opportunity to showcase his intellect etal
i guess those traits must be lacking, or maybe the cupboard has way too many skeletons that can be summoned Wretched argument. If you want a stake in PDP, go buy a card. Thats commonsense. If you campaign for debates in PDP, then you must do it across all parties, except there is some degree of foolishness or dishonesty driving your argument.
