Stop reciting brainless lines, coined by ethnically bigoted concensus candidates, who behave like "wrestlers" according to GEJ. grin grin grin

Because it exposes your hypocrisy. If a non-PDP man should leave PDP affair alone, then maybe you should heed your own advice. You are always in poor light when GEJ is a subject. I know you can make sense if the subject is physics or entomology, but anything bordering GEJ's performance, your regular brain shuts down!
There is still life after GEJ's project. Luckily you are not using your real name here. But conscience may be much more difficult to manage
No, it exposes his hypocrisy and your stup!dity. Why canvass for debates within only the PDP, especially when one is not even a member? There are are several other parties like the ACN, APGA, CPC, LP etc, why not spread the campaign if not for hypocricy and dishonesty?
Abeg, go and worry about the drug dealing Tinubu and what occurs in your ACN. Is it that you guys are jobless or so fearful of your chances that you are "loving" PDP here? Donkey brained fool who couldn't even understand simple English, yet jumps into arguments like an id!ot.

The loquacious Beaf posted a newspaper report without making a comment.

The argumentative NLers pounced on the article and attempted to paint Beaf a Ribadu-hater.

Beaf turns around to sketch a very plausible scenario.

The Beaf-hounders are nowhere to be found.

What is Nairaland turning into?

Why can't the Ribadu supporters on NL see beyond mere paper publications?

Some Maradonic politicians are only trying to shove Ribadu out of the presidential race. Take it ir leave it.

So why did you comment when it was RUMOURED that Ribadu has been dumped by ACN?
The current ruling party in Japan was "rickety" for over 50years. Yet it persevered. In Nigeria, most people mouthing democratic ideals jump aboard the PDP bus which is as fast but short-lived as the Cheetah. Better get aboard a thoroughbred which you mistake for a rickety bus.
Why take time to reply every post only to talk off point? Heads or tails can't be made from the above.
The rickety bus I accused Mikeansy of piloting is simply the wretched argument for PDP debates, while neglecting other parties. But, who knows why you jumped to the defense of what was never said, thats what the guilty do, so check carefully if you really are a passenger on a rickety bus.

The moral of this lesson is, listen, deliberate, then speak. Never speak before deliberating, it puts you in poor light.

It depends on what U.S. state that the voter lives in. Different states have different rules governing primary elections in the U.S. Some states allow the public to participate in the primaries, while some states require that you are a member of the particular party in order to participate in the party's primary. Ex: Registered Republicans in New Jersey cannot vote Democratic candidates in a Democratic primary and vice versa.

Who are the people that will be able to vote for either Jonathan or Atiku in the PDP primary? I was led to believe, that only voters who are members of PDP will be able to decide who is the candidate for their party. Correct me if I am wrong.
Only a few dozen delegates per state, selected by the parties inner workings will vote. It makes a public debate absolutely pointless.

The vital question remains if Islam is a religion of peace as claimed, and we decide to shift the blame to the Hausa, why is it still that every biazzare terrorist event known to mankind is born under the umbrella of this peaceful religion.

Why don't we find Hausa/almajiri atheists committing these same acts?.

Let's quit being stúpid, it wouldn't do anyone any good, the things being taught in most islamic schools contain extreme contents and cannot be ignored, it
s akin to brainwashing home grown terrorist, how soon do should we start expecting suicide bombers in Nigeria while we try to shift the blame to the "Hausas" in general?

The government should regulate all Islamic schools and a vast majority of them should be shut down!
Enh?!
How many Hausa atheists do you know? how many atheist almajiri's do you know?

You hit the nail on the head with the mention of curriculum of Koranic schools though. The question is, why would the Koranic schools in the core North teach extreme topics while those in Edo state and the SW don't? Why are there almajiri's in the core North, but none in Edo state?
It all boils down to cultural beliefs. It isn't a religious problem.

The almajiri issue and other age old traditions that have been Islamised is a very delicate one that must be approached with firmness and understanding. It is my opinion that govt must offer highly targeted incentives that are too delicious too be refused and then begin to apply heavy and concerted pressure, again through highly targeted means. The cultural turn around can be done diplomatically and that approach will succeed stunningly within less than 3 years.

@beaf: its dfclt 2seprate thier culture frm their religion. Tk 4example, islam is nt against child marrage & d hausa fulani practice it both as a religion & a culture as well. Non hausa muslims dnt do child marrage cos its nt part of thier culture though allowed by thier religion. So its a huge task to identify what moslem hausa fulani culture truely is outside d dictates of their religion. Mind u what sani yerima is dng with an under age girl has koranic back up which is also a way of life 4dis people. So its just a complex issue.
Culture always colors religion, because culture is the lens through which we see the outside World. This is backed by the fact that Islam is practised in places like Northern Edo state and the SW, but we don't have child marriages, almajiri's and the rioting habit in those places. Its about cultural practices not Islam.

The rest of the country needs to confront these cultures diplomatically and firmly. We must not give the impression of being scornful, but at the same time we must work to dicisively stamp out all cultures and traditions that lead to troublemaking.

I posted some stuff from information week, but the spambot gobbled it up.
However, you yourself have just posted figures that show no growth for Oracle since 2005. So whats your argument?

If its been hovering around 48% (by your figures) for the past few years, it simply backs my point that nobody is buying it anymore and the market for Oracle DBA's is saturated.
All I'm saying is that, it makes no sense becoming an Oracle DBA in todays World. Its the waste of a young life, its time misspent, thrown to the dogs, binned, trashed, donated to charity etc; better to learn more productive and rewarding stuff. Nobody should be adviced to dedicate their future to something that is slipping out of the mainstream and increasingly becoming a niche product.

I can not disagree more. In fact intra party debate is more necessary in Nigeria than in any other democracies like UK or US. For the following reasons.

1. Unlike in US or UK where you can easily class a political party on one end of the polical spectrum or in the middle. The PDP can not be classed anywhere, it is not a coalition of people with common values hence necessary to listen to the individual world views of each candidate and the values they stand for.

We will like to know whether they believe in high taxes in other to fund universal schemes like free education (i.e. belonging to the left); or whether they believe in tax cuts so are to boost business (which is a traditional conservative agenda ).

We will like to see Atiku take on Jonathan's economic policies and criticise his spending spree while Jonathan defends his spending records. These are the sort of differences only a debate can expose. It will be nice to see Jonathan defending his dustbin import policy while claiming to want to industrialise Nigeria. It will be nice to see Jonathan defend the waste on independence day in the name of celebration and yet we have a bill in NASS to borrow money from oversea.

2. PDP Primaries is still very critical to the future of this country and hence it is necessary to institutionalise democracy in that party.
Anybody listening to you would think you were a PDP reformer. Why is your holy crusade limited to PDP, yet you are not even a member?
You are really sounding quite desperate with your anti-Jonathan message.

How about writing articles and sweating profusely over presidential debates in ACN, APGA, LP, ANPP, CPC etc?

Don't mind the bastar'ds. Imagine a Gbagbo who found France to be a very safe place for his exile from 1982 to 1988. 6 bloody years he was in exile in France, but he loses an election and suddenly, the West is screwing his beautiful democracy and controlling Africans. Did he feel the same way throughout his 10 years in power?
One can only laugh at the shenanigans of a man driven to madness by power, he has become so mad that he will likely lose his life in the very near future.

The pedigree of an animal like Gbagbo is visible in the threats he made to attack Nigerian civilians in his country. What level of decency can such a "leader" have? Let him try it and see if he won't be dead within a week.

There is also the Ivorite policy, which is a form of apartheid in which Northern Ivorians are second class citizens. That policy has already led to a bloody civil war that divided the country in two. Gartner Report for 2006:

http://www.gartner.com/it/page.jsp?id=507466

http://www.bukisa.com/articles/143366_gartner-rdbms-market-share

By the way, what i said was that 75% of the largest companies in the world run on Oracle RDBMS.
2006 is a very long time in this information age. So many thing have happened since Oracle peaked at 41% of market share in 2005. They have seen an exodus of clients to easier to use db's that are not only more secure, but easier to use by a factor of several magnitudes (eg SAP to SQL Server). Why pay for a system that makes its devs age fast when the same job can be accomplished in half the time and to better quality by systems that cost only a fraction?

There is no future for most making the mistake of jumping on the Oracle bandwagon these days, its better to get broader IT skills (or potentially go hungry).

Well everyone to his own. Here is someone talking about SQLServer and MySQL when it is a known fact that over 75% of largest companies in the world run on Oracle Database. And MYSQL? Do you know Oracle Corp owns it now as an add-on since it just bought SUN?
I challenge you to provide a source for false 75% figure. cool
MySql is not the same as Oracle db, simply because Sun was bought. It is still MySql.

At its peak in 2005, Oracle was estimated to have 41% market share in the database market; http://www.informationweek.com/news/global-cio/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=159401656
The new kid on the block SQL Server, had aqcuired 13% and IBM stood at 31% at Oracles peak in 2005. So where did your 75% come from?

Since 2005, Oracles share has declined mainly because it doesn't require a PhD and all sorts of expensive support lisencing to get simple jobs done on the likes of SQL Server. Also, huge Oracle clients like SAP AG have since swung over to SQL server; you will find that most systems running on Oracle are in the region of a decade old (hence Oracle saw the need to acquire MySql for customer base). The Oracle of old has lost the fight.

Whenever the pack of id!ots and failures in Ivory Coast fail, it becomes an issue of imperialism. Rubbish, it is high time the despotic Gbagbo was kicked out of the place by whatever means. If he dies, that his problem, he waded through a sea of blood in his rise to power on the back of ethnic bigotry.

Now he has lost elections, why can't he just go? His tenure in office ended 5 years ago for goodness sake!

What pains me most though, is the way some of us lose several IQ points when "Western imperialism" or similar terms are mentioned. Few have taken the time to even question the quality of the sham interviewer. Where on Earth would an unbiased pressman ask such a ridiculously leading question as the one below:

Excellency, you have just reminded us this reality: the gap, the difference between the turnout at the polls and the number of votes, with almost 630 000 extra votes. In France, we used to say, a few decades ago, when there were ballot stuffing in some suburbs, that even dead people were voting…Apparently, things are not so different,

Ribadu was not shot at in a Honda CRV but a Lexus Jeep. I will dig for the info and paste here.

Exactly the point, the declaration was made to portray an air of conservatism when the true picture is just not so. And on Fayemi's case, just like what Yar'adua did, politicians when they assume positions are now fond of declaring what the expect to have amassed by the time to leave office. That way, it would seem they have not enriched themselves.

Where the law is lacking is that it does not empower that those declarations be investigated and also made public to ensure that people come out with facts. You cannot fight or go against a government document that is not public in a law court. So by this limitation, even if I know and have proof that Ribadu under declared, I can only submit petitions to ICPC but can't do anything about it if they (ICPC) refuse to take it up.
That might have been his official car. Nevertheless, the rest of your dovetails with my position that the article in the press is the first salvo in a cynical ploy by the ACN, Tinubu (or whoever is behind it in their gang) to blackmail Ribadu (who up till now was paraded as their presidential candidate) into shutting up and accepting whatever dogs dinner is served to him. It is pretty obvious that those details will fail scrutiny, so Ribadu is being wrapped up and rolled into the bin on the back of his claims to be untainted; if he coughs, the full details roll out.
It is gutter politics, because there is nobody cleaner than Ribadu in that political group.

The problem with a lot of Nigerians is that we turn into robots as soon as religion is mentioned. It causes us to miss the point by a country mile and we end up worsening an already bad situation. The problems in the North are 100% due to Hausa and Fulani culture and have zero to do with Islam.
We need to really engage to get to the root of why so many bad practises are encouraged in the core North; from almajiri, to paedophillia, to mass murder. We need to find out who is benefiting and how to stop them, we cannot afford to run into fake religious cocoons at this time to attack Islam.
