You did not defend anything at all, you only affirmed the normal bashing. angry

The line between happiness and sadness is very very thin. Don't make yourself unhappy for no reason. Take a good look at the society and you would realize how wrong you are

Culture › Re: In Which Nigerian Tribe Did Guys Spent Least In Marrige? Hausa, Yoruba Or Igbo? by Beamborla(f): 8:13pm On Feb 28, 2015
The only thing you take full responsibility for is the bride price and all other required items.
The engagement ceremony is always the total responsibility of the bride's while the wedding reception is the responsibility of the groom's.
Most times, the bride's family still come with their own meal to serve as 'Just in case' or as an addition.

In a nut shell, the responsibility is always 60:40; 60 for the groom, 40 for the bride.

The amount you spend now depend on the nature of wedding you chose.

Romance › Re: Must Guys Always Give Their Girlfriend Money As Prove Of Love? by Beamborla(f): 5:37pm On Feb 28, 2015
Giving is an act of love, not a prove of love.
When you love, you give wholeheartedly and happily. You can give without loving but can never love without giving.

If you think you love and find it difficult to give, it's really not love.

Blackett:
Abeg waka dey go. . . Halleluyah, for a brother has been rescued from a girl having leech mentality.

This is what I am saying. Either they date him cos he has money, or they date him cos he has potential of having money. Now in december, a struggling guy managed to give you 10 good fvcking thousand naira, and you turned it down because he needed to be up and doing . . . You even told him that to his face. Never minding that the effort he makes and that the extra mile he goes, is because of you.

The day you rejected that money was the day he started having double thoughts about you.

But you're jobless. See ya life?
Gibberish! Mtcheeeeew...

OP, have you tried to discuss this with him?
I don't know how you could still love a guy who beats you up, anyway.

Nairaland General › Re: 5 Nigerian Superstitions And Beliefs That Will Kill You Before Your Time by Beamborla(f): 11:02am On Feb 28, 2015
Funny but true. My own problem is with people who pray so loud they disturb their next door neighbour.
I suffered so much in my 200l as the back of my window was a volley ball court they turned into a prayer ground.

Very frustrating and annoying experience... different type of screams, speaking in tongues and ridiculos prayer points especially when exam is fast approaching and during exams... from 10pm to 6am every day. I wonder if God wouldn't listen to them if they pray silently, wholeheartedly and with faith.

Would you rather have him focus on the dark side of the country? If he did, I'm sure the speech would still be on cos there is a lot to say and you guys would still fault him for doing so.
Politics › Re: Buhari Endorsed President Goodluck In Speech! by Beamborla(f): 8:43pm On Feb 27, 2015
Should he have gone there to ridicule the country or the president? He is merely showing how matured he is.

JustCalMeDBoss:
Have u also heard its better for so many criminals to go free, than for one to innocent persn be declared guilty. Any way since his only xperience his ruling by decree how can we be sure he can handle ruling by a constitution.
That's why we need to give him the benefit of doubt... it's a risk I agree but seriously, what else have we got to lose aside fear of religion?. We've given someone six years already and he has given us almost nothing in return. Let's give someone else. This time he is not taking it forcefully, he is solicitating for it. Hence he would be accountable for each of his actions. #My opinion#

If criminals keep going scot free, then the innocent is in danger because the criminals would eventually harm him. I'm not saying it's okay for the innocent to suffer, I'm saying it's not okay for known criminals to roam free and still be placed above the innocent.
Politics › Re: Buhari's Chatham Speech The Height Of Unremorsefulness by Beamborla(f): 6:29pm On Feb 27, 2015
Would you rather have a president who goes dancing after hundreds of people die in a bomb explosion, who cries after every inhuman act in the country always promising to bring criminals to book and does nothing but reward the same criminals he promised to bring to book or one who takes action but make mistakes along the way(matter of fact, he is yet to make the mistake... we are only judging him by his actions when he ruled by DECREE).

What is the worst thing that can happen to Nigerians again? I would rather take my chances with the old man. Let's see what he has to offer.

Romance › Re: Signs Of A Potential Wife-Beater by Beamborla(f): 7:38pm On Feb 26, 2015
emusmith:
How do you detect a "possible" wife- beater?

I've met quite a few of them in my life so I know their qualities by heart.

It's not CERTAIN he's going to be a wife beater. It's a PROBABILITY.

Ladies, be on the watch out for these signs!

1. He Playfully Hits You On The Head.

This is one major sign. You don't hit a Lady on the head, for no reason.

2. He Quickly Flares Up And Clinch His Fists

You're still dating and when there is a misunderstanding, he clinches his fist. Haba! Your jaw go hear am be that o grin

3. When You Hurt Him, He Pushes Things To The Floor.

You're the things he's pushing to the floor while expressing rage. If you marry him, he'll push down one day.

4. He jokingly bends your hand backwards.

If he wants to play, he should give you a piggyback and run down the seashore. Bending your tiny hand no follow joor! grincheesy

5. If He Likes Showing Off His Chest When You're Quarrelling.

That's the way he intimidates others during a fight. He is unconsciously doing it. Take note o! grin

6. If He's A Drunk/ Smoker.

Drunkards? Hmm...it's hard to find the one who don't beat.
He just can't control it.
When he don "fa 'Igbo" or take 5 bottles of Ogogoro ( Chelsea ), foggerit...You're just one tiny ant grin

7. If He's In The Military.

Some military men are womanizers. "Some" is me being nice.
If he's womanizing and you start your probing, he could mistakenly hit you someday.

8. If He Is Too Possessive

When men are too possessive, they will become aggressive and that... is not good.

9. If His Daddy Is A Wife Beater

Someone said, if you watch closely you will see history repeat itself- sons becoming like their fathers, girls like their mothers. How True? It varies though! smiley

A Potential Wife Beater Shouldn't Be Spared Or Managed If You Really Love Life.

You can't endure the relationship where he has turned you into a punching bag. No!

Come out and be the real African woman you are meant to be: Self Confident, Intelligent, Smart, Meek and Beautiful.

Don't let no man control you with money!

If only you know what you really worth, you won't be surviving in that " abusive/ maltreating" relationship! sad

smiley
Which of these qualities do you possess? cheesy
