Yes, you can fly directly except there is a change in regulation I am not aware of. I Flew Turkish air and the officer asked if I was not going to visit France and I answered No.

Imalo:
If you obtain your France visa from Nigeria, do you need to travel to France before going to Mexico, or can you fly directly into Mexico?

Hi,

If a woman goes to Mexico for childbirth, The child gets a Mexican passport as soon as the parent processes it. The parent also gets their PR as soon as they process it all this happens after childbirth. Now if the parent wants the Passport they will have to remain for two years and be able to speak Spanish and answer some history questions. If you choose to stay longer you will have to take care of your bills. Yes you need a job to be able to sustain yourselves.

Kelechi009:

Hi,

Just for confirmation basis, does this mean if a woman moves to Mexico for child birth, she has to stay for almost 2-years to process the passport for both child and parent, also it seems like this requires parents to cater for themselves for almost 2-years during this period. Hence this looks like both parents need to find work and earn some income in Mexico to keep them floating until 2-years.

Is my assumption correct, if not just guide me properly, thanks.

This topic most Nigerians are not ready to face. Since I am not able to change mine now so I decided to change the narrative for my kids.

Freedom of movement is a blessing. Right now most Nigerians may not be in prison but are in prison just for being a NIGERIAN.

Good morning,

Please help me clarify. I would like to renew my son's passport. The cost of the flight (we live outside Abuja)will not allow both parents to appear please advise on how to go about this especially the documents we have to present, and the consent letter from the unavailable parent. How do we prepare the letter?

Please Guidance. Thank you

Of course, Mexico because where all else fails you have an option of over 25 country visas to get in including their visa.

A wise woman said " The worst thing that can happen to you is a lack of options"

@beautyuche, please I need your honest opinion, my wife is 5weeks pregnant, between Brazil and Mexico which visa do you think is feasible to get now, I want my baby to obtain citizenship of another country.

Parents and older siblings of the baby become permanent resident. However they all need to be present in the country to apply.

Does the other child not born in Mexico get PR too?
Travel / Re: Between Brazil, Mexico, Canada And The USA? by beautyuche: 4:47pm On Feb 16
Well in my opinion a France visa is very easy to get and still the easiest in the Schengen zone. Now using my experience, they issue very short visa the beauty of this process is no airline will have a pregnant lady above 36 weeks fly so you can over stay your visa. The moment baby is born you are automatically a permanent resident. So its a win win.

tensazangetsu20:

Then the process has casted. A Schengen visa is very hard to get for Nigerian passport holders and most times the visa duration is very short. Imagine having just one week multiple entry visa. What's that gonna do. In the future, children will kill their parents for making them Nigerians.

So I will advice to use any Schengen visa as the UK visa holders are being turned back.

tensazangetsu20:

You don't need a Mexican visa to visit mexico and birth your child there. You can get a UK visa which should be the easiest to get in Nigeria and use it to travel to Mexico and birth there.
Travel / Re: Between Brazil, Mexico, Canada And The USA? by beautyuche: 10:10am On Feb 15
So for both Brazil and Mexico, parents get permanent residency immediately after birth. However, you need to remain in Brazil for one year to process a Brazilian passport while for Mexico its 18-24 months to process the passport.

In my opinion, both options are way cheaper when it comes to a second passport for the parents. This you can not get in the USA and Canada

Nitabb:
How long does one have to be in Brazil after birthing to get the Brazilian passport?

Hi,

Let me add my two cents to this based on my personal experience.

I had my first child in the USA it was indeed a great experience having a blue passport-holding child. When it was time for the second child my USA visa had expired and could not get a date for quick renewal so I opted for two options and this was either Brazil or Mexico.

Brazil visa was very difficult to get and there was a lot of back-door gambling which would eat into the little fund saved for childbirth so I was left with Mexico. Now with Mexico, there was no appointment date however, with a visa from more than 28 countries you can gain access so I applied for a France visa. I arrived in Mexico had a baby, got the baby's passport, and guess what I got a Permanent residency.

My friend who used the same route and remained in Mexico now has her Mexican passport. Now someone on this thread mentioned that a Mexican can work in the USA because of the North American trade agreement. So in comparison to Brazil, I will say do Mexico.
What informed my decision also was fromNormad Capitalist I follow him on Youtube. A Mexican passport is a USA standard passport and the only two countries you may need a visa that may concern you are the USA and Australia and you will get them when you apply.

Let's talk about security, Every country has its shortcomings. However, while I was in Mexico as a black I moved freely and didn't experience any security issues. Remember first I was a Pregnant woman and next I was a Nursing mother going through with documentation. I do not speak Spanish but got an agent that helped with all of this so again if the USA and CANADA don't work out please have Mexico as an option. You might want to try Brazil as I also know a lady that had her child there and remained in the country for one year now her entire family have gotten the brazillian passport.

In the end just give your unborn child this beautiful gift while at it you might also be gifting your self a dual citizen at a meanial cost.

UyaiIncomparabl:
Which of these countries are very likely to offer one a visa smoothly without hassles to birth a child? I am aware Canada has added to her rules thereby making them very stringent to meet. Likewise the USA. But, we are still willing to try despite the stringent requirements (last we checked). We are looking at either Brazil or Mexico presently and hoping that they grant us a visa. Thing is, the back and forth has been very exhausting inclusive of the hefty financial commitments. But, we still have our minds and eyes on Canada and the US especially Canada if there are easier ways to help us forge through with ease.

If there are other countries we can try that you know of that do not have "too much" stringent requirements and will offer citizenship (with strong values) by birth, please, kindly state them. It would interest me to know. So, do kindly share. Thanks.

Hi Guys is there anyone that is cancun bound in May please hola......
Travel / Re: Nigerian Living In Mexico. Ask Me Any Question About Life Here by beautyuche: 9:23am On Feb 15
Hi Sorry for the late response.

So the name on your child's passport will carry the surname on your wife's passport. This means if your wife has done her change of name to your name and has a passport with that name then your child will have your surname on their passport. However, if your wife's maiden name is still the passport she hold then her maiden name becomes the name on your childs passport.

I hope this is clear

Hello beautyche.

Pls I need a clarification from you. Based on your experience If my wife has our baby in Mexico and I am unable to be present for the child birth. Can my name as the father be added to the baby’s birth certificate.

Hi, Congratulations on your visa. Can you kindly share the template you used for your cover letter? Thank you.

thelma76:

No I didn’t and I don’t think it’s necessary. I’ve never submitted more than a one-pager cover letter summarizing my application and profile and hotel/flight bookings.

Also, a colleague of mine applied last week Tuesday, same simple application and she got the visa yesterday… multiple entry 10days.

I think the simpler and more detailed it is, the better

Thank you for your prompt response. Do we have Dropbox dates faster than the regular appointment date? If dates are easy to get can I apply with my new passport while holding on to the old one( Already bought my ticket)?

Thanks You

Debbieeeeeee:

Your old passport number reflects on the new one if you look at the biodata so different names don’t matter and also let it reflect in your ds-160 in the section where they ask if you’ve borne other names.
When you try to schedule the appointment just follow the question prompts and answer them it’ll tell your eligibility.

Dropbox you’ll go to dhl to submit your passport on the date of your appointment.

Good afternoon Guru in the house.

My present visa will expire in a few months I plan to travel before then. However, I also intend to book ahead for renewal via drop box. The issue is my previous passport has a different surname from what I have now.
Am I eligible for a Dropbox or physical interview? How does Dropbox work now for Someone who is not in Abuja or Lagos are we to submit to DHL in our state or arrive at the location to submit?

Please help me with clarification.

It is getting harder applying for visa when you have to fly in and out of your city for visa application. It is easier for those in Lagos and Abuja.

Been battling the thought though. But hey i will still apply for my visa for 2023 vacation.

This is true. I also know a guy that got TRC and didnt need to do plenty process. These asian guys get to buy the TRC and can renew every 3 years. it cost less than 10k sef.

Abydupank:

I have met two guys from North Korea here, who escaped to China, and found there way to Kazakhstan and then somehow to Poland.. they didn't even come with visas. They just came here, did menial jobs for cash, saved and bought work permits and have a legal stay.

So yes it is possible to just enter France (easiest visa to get in nigeria) and just fly to Poland, apply your trc, do your biometric and then fly back to Paris and wait for text when your TRC is ready then return back to Poland to take.. many naija boys have been doing this..
