.i am not sure if you would see good android phone with jelly bean version for that price except mtk android phones like techno and others.the once you would get for that price would be running 2.3 ginger bread, and 4.0 ice cream.if suppose you are close to where i reside, i would have given you one of the uk used htc vivid android phones i have in stock running 4.0 with 16gb inbuild memory which i have already rooted,bootloader unlocked and most sophisticated full version apps and games installed like titinium backup,twrp recovery ,skype, pes,resident evil 4, and lots more apps which i give as a bonus.you can just install a rom to upgrade it.

you can go for htc one x.base on experience, latest htc phones has lots of features and support.their interface are also user friendly

Movingcoil: I did a nandroid backup, could it be that the custom Rom was corrupt while downloading it

since u were able to flash it, then it did not corrupt,probably the rom is not compatible with your phone.try and restore back to nandroid backup and see if it would resolve the issues

i always tell people this, when it comes to rooting and bootloader unlocking,the first thing you should do is to make a nandroid backup.first, did you make a nandroid backup of the stock rom that came with the phone when you rooted and install custom recovery, if yes, then try restore the backup.if no, then look for another rom like CMmod, aosp etc.some rom does not have all support for some android phone and thus lead to incompatibility issues such as sd card damage, galary viewing problem, camara, batter etc.so you just have to keep trying other roms and see which one work best for you.you dont just download rom and flash, read what works and what does not work in such roms.also after flashing a rom, also flash goog gaapp.

The films are on d memory card cos i watched one wit my wen conectd wit my tv.

if you have a pc or u know some one that has a pc, then u can use an alternative recovery called scavenger.remove the memory card and use scavenger on the pc to recover ur deleted files.thats what i use most time and it has helped me a lot.hope it helps

the truth is that any any thing / app can brick your android phone as far as it has to do with installing, flashing, tweaking etc.if a software is not compatible with your device, it may brick your phone, if you flash d wrong image file using any recovery tool(clockwork, ext4,twrp etc) it may result to bootloop, if you make any kind of unwanted command via ADB and FASTBOOT to you device, it may render it damaged, even if your device is not properly shut down, it may result to bricking it, last but not the list, i always advice android phone users to charge their battery to a reasonable level before trying any hacks, tweak, installing new ROMs/software etc because it may render your device into bootloop when the phone goes off and you are performing a task.the list is just endless, but i believe this would help.cheeers

yes it does require rooting to gain root access.

windows phone has not gain ground in naija, so many people don't realy fancy it.if you are a guy man who realy want to explore stuffs on your phones and also want quick fix, then i wouldn't advice using windows phone else you will regret it.but if you just want to use a smart phone for regular stuffs, no much exploring, then you can go for windows phone.

htc mytouch 4G slide and most htc android phone is something i would not advice people to buy cos u may end up regreting it.untill htc produce a phone that can use internal memory to also store files, then i can advice pals to buy it.do you know you can't download stuffs online, take snapshop pix, video recordings, store files, and other stuff that has to do with storing without memory card on almost all htc android phones.other android phone have the option to use both phone memory and sd card to store file but with htc, u cant do such because they programed most of their phone to use only sd memory card for anything storing.my htc mytouch 4G slide is now sitting in the dark since the memory card slot got damanged and i have gone to every phone engineer for fixing, all they will say is the phone is new in town and their part is hard to get in naija.even at that, many of them are afread to try repairing it so as not to pay for more damaged since they believe its a smart phone and wudnt want to temper with the board.i cant do any thing like download, snap pix, video recording, receive bluetooth file sharing, and more stuff that made me buy the phone.for those that are praising htc phones, if your memory slot got damanged, then you will see how useless htc android phones are.if not for the rooting i did on the phone, i wouldnt have been able to gain access in doing some configuration on the system files using ADB and fast boot to enable download into the phone memory from online.apart from from this, i cant snap pix of an invent, take video of any invent, screen schot, and other stuff that has to do with memory card.i have downloaded all sort of app that have save path options but the only options they can see is sd card,phone memory dont show up. to me htc phones is one of the useless phones i have ever come across with, not untill they produce more phones with options to save files to either phone memory or memory card.even nokia symbian phones has the option to choose where to save files.my advice to all htc android phone users is that you should try and protect your phone memory card slot if you want to enjoy it because if the phone fell hard on the ground by mistake which was what happened to me and i know its bound to happen to all.if it happened to you and other part of the phone got damaged, u are safe, but if the memory card slot got damage, two things is involve, its either you sell it or trow it inside river cause dashing it to a gadget person would be a waste.and lastly,if you are a gadget person and you want to enjoy your droid phone with previlege to gain root access, always root your android phone immediately you purchase it because any thing can happen and if the worse happens such as memory card slot problem like mine and the phone is not rooted, you are on a long thing because it will be difficult to do any thing since there will not be a place to store the root files on the phone to get it rooted.if you cant do the rooting, please, please, and please give it to an expert like me to do it for you else i will not be held responsible for any bootloop brick/damage on that expensive phone you spent your hard earn money on.it pays to root your phone.if not the rooting, my htc 4g slide will be left un used because i wouldnt have been able to download stuffs to the phone memory and need to even use some tricks to install or transfer them to my pc cause the internal memory has lots of security placed on it.downloading is the only thing i can do for now apart from using the already installed apps. the rest things i mentioned is still not fixed untill i get the memory slot fixed.so my guy, protect your memory card slot if you want to enjoy your htc android phone cause you wont like what --------- complete the rest sentence.

yeah, yahoo is loosing it.i do experience such problem when using computer with najja ip.all I did to resolve it is to make use of foreign ip uk or usa.I just have to use your-freedom software and login through either yahoo uk domain or usa domain extension.so if any one is experiencing this, just download your-freedom software and configure it to use uk or usa ip.visit yahoo.co.uk and login, it will display the captcha verification.

well, to me it all depends on what you do with the phone.one thing is buying a phone and making good use of it for what it is made for.if you ask some people, they would tell you they even prefer symbian than bb but to cut the long story short, you cant compare symbian and android.its like compariing java phone and symbian.in time to come nokia would have no option than to come up with their android os phones.yes you cant stop all app from running cause they are very important apps that needs to run 24hrs for any android phone to perform optimally but you can still stop some reasonable amount of downloaded apps using task manager apps like advance mobile care and droidwall for internet apps like whatapps, facebook and the rest of them.if you have money for data and extral battery, then you can give android phone a try and see the difference for yourself.i even prefer nokia java phone than their symbian cause it has more battery life and also the difference is clear..........wink......wink. ; D

ribechi: Keep decieving yourself. That was old school. You can't have an adsense account with a blogger account. Google has discovered people having multiple adsense account so owning a domain name authenticates your ownership of an adsense account. But for people who opened their accounts a long time ago, you must have used blogger but its not the same now.. So if you need an account, get a domain name.

, trust me, adsense still accept blog without a domain,it all depends on your content and designs, but i always encourage newbie to get a domain for their not because of adsense but because of their brand and identity.

adsense does not require any special domain, with a subdomain like , adsense would still accept you.all that matters is the site content but as a serious minded blogger, i would advice you to get yourself a domain name to for professionalism and trust.things have changed and we have to move along with such changes.most people are getting everything all twisted.adsense should never be the first priority towards setting up a blog and you may even get frustrated when the click is not coming.

@biz4u, you surely know how to do biz but you are not being sincere with your blog readers,i will advice you to remove the clicksor popup ads because it sucks.i have just check your site,each link i click brings out a popup ads which i really dislike and so as other visitors.you are also making a huge mistake in fixing all kind of ads when you have big G adsense which you have not fully optimized and you embeded other ads like clicksor, infolinks etc.although your design is simple which is cool but you really have a lot to work on it.you need more genuine content and also remove the Google connect button at your sidebar cos its not in vok.don't forget to take off the clicksor popup ads and also reduce your infolinks ads cos with adsense alone, you should be making cool cash except you don't have an idea on how to optimized it.

FatBusyBee: @Jamie b - with 400 view per day that is cool money...except you are doing it wrongly! if you have 400 visitors to your site everyday and lets assume you have a product you are selling on this site you should be making at least 4 sales every day...

400 views per day on adsense should fetch at least 100 clicks except you are doing it wrongly! if you have engaging contents on your blog/website its possible you might not have good conversion...

NOTE: with adsense you DONT need top quality content...you need contents that are fairly good [if you know what i mean] let your visitors leave the page by clicking away on some ads.

i want to believe your poor conversion might be due to where you place your adsense ads and aslo the type of ads you use.

if you need to get another domain and do a redirect, you can do a 301 redirect - this will automatically redirect your visitors to your new site but keeps the google bot on the old page, this is good if you want your website to rank very well on search engines, but it seems you are using a blogger network and this might not be possible

@fatbusybee, you are getting every thing twisted.page view is different from visitor.400 pageview per day means the numper of post, articles that your visitors read per day.100 visitors could read your post which might be up to 400page view or more.also, as regard adsense,one could get up to 1000 visitors without even geting up to 10clicks per day if your ads is not fully optimized.gone are those days when adsense use to approve application with even subdomain,but now things have changed.linda ikeji started long time ago when adsense was still looking for applicant without taking any review,but now you will under go strict review before they will accept u.if any one is serious about blogging,then i will advice you get a custom domain because you may have yourself to be blaimed.trust me, linda ikeji is not happy with using a subdomain,she wish her blog is on custom domain but sharp guys must have registered it.
