solomonwis:

Dear All,

I sent in our (my wife and I) UK visa application form and every documents{It is supposed to be a family visit} on Friday June 17th,2011 and I got this refusal Letter today,I need an advise on the way forward:

"You state that you will fund your proposed trip to the UK and have submitted your personal bank statement from GT Bank Plc as evidence of finance. you state your monthly income to be N382,431 {£1,529 at the current rate of £1 = N250} The credit balance in your account are not commensurate with your declared monthly income.

On the evidence before me,I am not satisfied that this statement is a true reflection of your personal circumstances. This is relevant,as umambigouos evidence of your claimed employment, pattern of income or means of support is required to access if your situation in Nigeria povides you with an incentive to leave the UK at the end of a short stay as claimed.

I am not satisfied that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor for a limited period as stated by you or that you intend to leave the UK at the end of your proposed visit as required by paragraph 41(i) and (ii) of HC 395.

You have provided an invitation letter from your UK sponsor dated June 14th,2011 offering accommodation, you have not provided satisfactory evidence of their ability to accommodate you as claimed.

Therefore,on the balance of probabilities I am not satisfied that you will be maintained and accommodated in the UK without working or having recourse to public funds or are able to meet the cost of return or an outward journey as required.

I have therefore refused your application because I am not satisfied on the balance of probabilities that you meet all the requirement of the relevant paragraph of the UK immigration rules.

You are entitled to appeal this decision under section 82, "

I sent in the land documents (C of O),Bank Statements,Letter of employment, confirmation letter of employment,Leave approval letter and introduction letter from my employer.

Under the other sources of income,I mentioned that I work on part time basis as the MD of the company that I established with my wife {I included the original and copies of all the company documents,certificate of incorporation,from CO2 and Form CO7}

I also mentioned that I have a landed property {with copy of the C of O included}

The letter of invitation of my aunt,an Introduction letter from her employer in the UK,her passport bio data page, her residence permit and her council tax adjustment bill was included in the application package.

Kindly help suggest the way out of this as I never expected that we will be denied given the fact that we provided everything as requested. Do We stand a chance if we appeal or we should just forget the appeal and look forward to are-applying?

RE-APPLY PLEASE!

Family / You Think You Have Family Issues? by beeman80: 12:51pm On Jul 05, 2011
Two men met at a bus stop and struck up a conversation. One of them
kept complaining of family problems.

Finally, the other man said: "You think you have family problems? Listen to my situation.

A few years ago I met a young widow with a grown-up daughter and we got married. "Later
my father married my step daughter. That made my stepdaughter my
stepmother and my father became my stepson. Also, my wife became mother
in-law of her father-in-law. Then the daughter of my wife, my
stepmother, had a son. This boy was my half-brother because he was my
father's son, but he was also the son of my wife's daughter which made
him my wife's grand-son. That made me the grandfather of my half-
brother.

"This was nothing until my wife and I had a son. Now the half-
sister of my son, my stepmother, is also the grandmother. "This makes
my father the brother-in-law of my child, whose step sister is my
father's wife, I'm my stepmother's brother-in-law, my wife is her own
child's aunt, my son is my father's nephew and I'm My own grandfather!
And you think you have family problem?

Best Regards,

Thanks for your advise at the time that mattered most. Sorry I couldn't feed back on my post on time. I eventually got a TC at the Naija House early June but it was through a third party. (U know what that means) I got back home, and got a new passport. I am hoping to sort the visa issue out this week.
However, I must confess, the advise on this forum pointed me in the right direction. Once again thanks to y'all
Yippy! happy for u men! Welcome back to Naija. No place like home. grin

Dear Nairalanders I want to share my testimony with you o!
Armed robbers came to my house around 3am last week and robbed about 7 streets.Trust Nigerian Police with their inefficiency. We called them but they did not show up.Anyway to continue my torey. The robbers finally got into my flat after breaking their way in.As they came in with their guns and knives they kept asking for money, laptops and all.It was all like a film to me and I was so shocked. One of them got hold of my International passport that has 2years UK visa on it.Apparently the robber didn't know and even if he did,its useless to him anyway, but i was really wondering why he took it even after they had collected gold, wrist watches, money and handsets from me.Anyway I had to beg this young robber who had a gun and knife to please return my passport.U know what? He flung it on my bed after mocking me,he said "so you want to travel abi?".I thank GOD because I only got the visa about a week before the incident.I have finally moved every valuable from my house ever since and also making plans to leave the area.

Has GEJ tried his wife Patience for money laundering? Has he also explained to Nigerians why some PDP states rigged elections desperately? This is all political war.If you are against them, they look for rubbish to throw on you.Whether PDP likes it or not ACN has come to liberate the masses. While Gbenga was fighting,Akala was bleaching and Babatunde et Tinubu were working. The PDP should stop hating and follow suit. The PDP camp is full of Murderers,Election riggers,Money launderers(Bankole) and retrogressive lots. They are desperate and ready to drag this great nation down.GEJ has been unable to catch the bombers, solve security issues and put food on the table of the common man.GEJ is only trying to digress issues and take our minds from the current failed state caused by his caucus.TINUBU is the man any time any day even in his imperfection we love his bravery.3 gbosaz for TINUBU,gbosa!,gbosa!!,gbosa!!!

Nairaland / General / Recent Daily Robbery At Egba Tedo Old Oko Oba.nigerian Police Failed! by beeman80: 10:59am On Jun 29, 2011
It was like a movie.I was awakened around 3am by the noises from downstairs.Apparently some armed men were making serious demands for money and valuables from the neighbour downstairs. When they were down with the neighbours, they broke the entrance downstairs and finally found their way upstairs breaking the door to the flat and finally gaining entrance into the rooms.About six of them came in and were all heavily armed. They viciously demanded for money and valuables. They eventually parted with gold chain and ring worth over 35,000 naira, wrist watches, hand sets, laptops and about 100k from the entire compound. The Nigerian Police had been called earlier but they never showed up.
The Nigerian Police is in a failed state and not much has been done to re-awaken this body that is supposed to be the protector of the citizens. How long do we continue like this? We sleep with one eye opened while our GREEDY leaders are busy looting billions.Until we wake to that call and have a revolution whether peaceful or violent,Nigeria will continue to find itself in a retarding state.THE NIGERIAN POLICE has FAILED and will keep FAILING!

Hello house? How are the visas coming?
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries by beeman80: 4:30pm On Jun 24, 2011
Omo_Tier1:

MSc visas usually is for 1year + 3months.although that depends if your MSc starts in September of that year or in January/February of the following year. For September entry, they would give you visas for the duration of your course + 3months to cover graduation in either Oct/Nov of same year. Although we have seen cases where applicant are given less and are requested to live the country and apply for re-entry for thier graduation.

Have you gotten your visas yet?
Yep.If there are inconsistencies on ur visa, depending on the magnitude though.I doubt if it really matters.Never had issues with mine though and don't ever hope to.Have a lovely stay in the UK.
