TravelRe: Cost Of A Nigeria International Passport by BelieverDE: 3:45pm On Aug 09, 2021
I have finally gotten my passport!

Although it's not DIY
Passport Office: Warri
Captured on June18th
Passport issued on August 4th
Collected it today!

I did not receive any text from NIS to come for my passport. I waited for 6 weeks after my photo was captured.

Some persons were captured in July and came for their passport in August; I suppose it's as a result of the scarcity of passport booklets

Yesterday night I mistakenly splashed water on my system (Dell Latitude) and instantly I cleaned the water.
This morning I used the system and it was in perfect condition until it started misbehaving. It has refused to turn on all this while after showing the blue screen.
Whenever I hit the ON button, the fan keeps rolling but the system doesn't come on and after some minutes, the fan stops and it goes off.
Please what could be the solution?
I was in your situation some weeks ago. The blue screen scared the hell outta me. I began thinking about my files I was about to lose.....thanks to God though.

Here's a solution:
1. Give it some time for the screen to come up, and when it does;
2. Press the F2 key continuously till it gives you an option to open system Safe Mode
3. Uninstall any antivirus or recently installed software
4. You have to enter system recovery and choose an earlier date when the system was in a working condition.

When it done then you are good to go!

I got an opportunity to get a leave at the oil rig where I work and then joined the company chopper to osubi Airport in Warri.

Then I went home. I already had someone clean the house, so j just slept lazily. So it's Saturday, no light, it's hot, I want to go sight seeing around after a Long time at the rig.

So I settled for a Jetty around my hood and do the locals before evening cruise.

So this guy walks up to me. He greets me
He: Senior braa, I hail
Me : Shakes him.

Then he just started telling things he had before he was wrecked by his babe from Ghana.

Then he just drops the bombshells
Him: Senior braa.... Even if na H. (#100). I go use am package. So I just laughed and gave him#3k. He just shouted EWOO!!.
Mehn see prayers. So I sat him down and asked him to order for anything. And I told him to get high as much as he wanted. I don't have friends.

I'm a very low-key person. I just want to feel free. It's been long.
And I'm linking up with some colleagues this evening. I'm thinking of calling him along make he enjoy life small.

I can snap pictures later on sha when they come.
I see you are an oilman smiley

I also stay in Warri.

My short term goal as a recent Geophysics graduate is to get a Graduate Internship position in an oil firm.

Could you do me a favour?

Please, next time when going out, kindly assist those little kids you see on the street with a token and some words of encouragement. It pains me to see them struggling on such a tender age.

Thank you and stay blessed!

Hello Basalt,

Thanks for all you do.

I have background similar to yours. I saw a scholarship in Geoinformatics, but after my research, it seems there are few jobs for people with that degree in Germany.

I don't know if I should continue with the scholarship application, or just forget it and search for other scholarships, I really need your advice.

Kindly advise a brother.

PoliticsRe: How Nigeria ‘Accidentally’ Discovered 206trn Cubic Feet Gas Reserve – Sylva by BelieverDE: 6:47pm On Jun 27, 2021
ajl:
I think this minister is not conversant with some aspect of the industry he oversee. It's almost a norm to discover gas while exploring for crude oil because petroleum itself is made up of both gaseous, liquid, and occasionally solid constituents depending on the conditions in the reservoir. If the petroleum is very highly biodegraded, you wouldn't find gases and sometimes will be left with heavy oil or bitumen (this dominates crude oil reserves in Canada and Venezuela). We know that petroleum fraction with 1 to 4 carbon atoms are gases, and its common to find them in petroleum reserves. There are times most of the long chain petroleum fraction with longer carbon chain has been cracked due to high temperature in reservoirs to short chain gaseous fractions. That's why sometimes when gas is found, it may be referred to as wet gas (CH2 to CH4) or dry gas (mainly methane, CH4). Sometimes, the gas can even be derived by cracking of buried coal reserves or biodegradation of coal by bacteria to methane. At times, trapped gases would leak out of petroleum reservoirs because of weak rocky seals. There are places where methane seeps out of the ground or bottom of the ocean. Sometimes these indicates presence of crude oil below ground or it may just be methane formed in the subsurface by biodegradation of organic carbon to methane.
Amazing! cheesy

Oh, I see.

Do you advise me to just go with the flow - doing it for 40k, or apply online?

I intend going to the office, maybe another officer might call a lesser amount..... What do you think?

Tell one of your friends to snap/scan the data page of his/her Passport and passport photograph. Then, you print at a cyber cafe (50 or 100 Naira) and photo studio (400 Naira for five copies). I used my friend as well who was in Lag while I in Ilorin, and it is what I did.
Oh, I see. I will do just that! Thanks!

We went in the morning, collected in the evening.. Some people we met there that didn't give Caesar what belonged to Caesar were told booklet was not available. Inside Life!
Could you please tell me how you went about it?

Painful. Hopefully you'll get it.

I did mine in warri (governor's house annex) beside DBS. 32pgs costed 28k, did it in 3days.
I went very early in the morning spoke to one of them have him the money registered and went home the next day I went 3pm but collected it the next day as the booklets had not arrived from asaba(so they said) the 3rd day I collected mine that morning.
Last last na N500 I reason the officer cause him nor really do anything significant.

I'm posting this for the sake of those in Delta, warri is more reliable than Asaba although I here Asaba is improving under okowa. So if you're in warri or environ don't waste transport to asaba as it might be a waste of more funds.
I called an immigration officer in the office and he said it's 40k cry

How you take run am?

You went into the compound and walked straight to the servicom unit to apply, or ??

Guarantor fee? Downloading the Guarantor form is free and available on the Immigration website: https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/passport/passportGuarantor. Fill the form and get it signed and stamped at a court (mine cost me 150 Naira at Ilorin). Also, buy seal of 50 Naira. Don't forget the data page of your Guarantor Passport. That's all.
The issue is: I don't know anyone around me who can stand as a guarantor when applying for the passport. I have friends who have gotten theirs, but they don't stay in Delta State.

The immigration officer said if I don't have a guarantor, I'll have to pay 5k for that, which I honestly do not have

Hello house,

Please, who has tried DIY in Delta?
The Immigration officer I called told me 40k. The Guarantor fee is 5k.

That's on the high side for me.
Do you know any other agent with lesser amount?

Kindly help me out! cry

Hi mate,
It's been a while now since I did mine, so I don't know what the current processes are. I used the office in the government annex and got it same day. Just waited for a couple of hours. I can send you the agents details, if you send me a message. Someone recommended him to me and I used him, but I'm not vouching for him or anything so use discretion as with all things.
That was pretty fast!
Thanks, I have sent you a mail.

I want to apply for passport and I'd like to know the best way to go about it

You dey mind the OP? When I did mine, I used the Warri office. I spent less than 5hrs for the whole thing. I just paid their illegal amount and they went with it. Tipped one or two people and by 2pm I was on my way home with my passport. The illegal fee they're collecting is standard a cross all visa offices, so who are you fighting? FG or Immigration or Nigeria. Its only someone that needs the passport after 2023 that can apply online
Hello Kode,

I want to apply for my passport in the Warri office. Could you please tell me the procedures you went through?

How much did you pay in total?
Did you go to the government annex along airport to apply for it, or from the airport?

Do you still have the number of the agent you used?

I would like to know the number of pages your field research proposal is?

Is it a 2-page or 3-page document?

Is it advisable to have my medical report printed after the doctor has filled and signed. Like printing a pdf document.
Moreover, would a printable pdf recommendation suffice? My current location is quite distant
It's stated on the application guideline that MEXT accepts a printed or written copy of the medical certificate

It's an hospital owned by the state government
EducationRe: MEXT Scholarship Update by BelieverDE: 3:35pm On May 06, 2021

For your medical certificate, just go to a federal or military hospital. The tests are very cheap there. I did all the tests for less than 5k last week and the results are already out. I’m going back on Tuesday, so the doctor will fill the results of the tests on the form, then get it stamped by the MD.
Bro embarassed

I paid 5k for X-ray, 5k for LFT and 1k for ESR. I was directed to a centre for the tests.

I'll have to go to the centre tomorrow for the LFT result. The doctor at the hospital jokingly said to her, "How much should we take from him? 5k?"

Bro, I think I'll have to find another doctor in a private hospital to fill the form.
