Thanks bellong.his EOI has been updated back to 189.want to ask a question and I hope this isn't silly.when an invite to apply is sent,is it to his email address or he gets it in his skill select correspondence?
He will get the invite in the email he registered on his EOI page. He should be patient till the next round of invitation is done.

Hello house,
Glory to God,after 3 attempts with 2different assessing bodies under 2different occupations and 3 ielts,hubby has finally gotten a positive assessment from Icaa as an external auditor!
As it stands now,his points are 60 so we will have to go the 190 way and request for state sponsorship.
Pls has anyone applied to NSW,Tasmania or South Australia for sponsorship?what's the procedure like? responses will be greatly appreciated.
If he has 60 points, why does he need state sponsorship?

Except his chosen occupation is not on the SOL list, your 60 points is enough for subclass 189. Don't put yourself in unnecessary process.

I was about to carry my cutlass and start cultivating the abandoned little stretch of land in front of the house for an apple orchard or is it yard? cheesy
You can try it, at least you will have something to be exercising with and a white elephant project to call your own... cheesy

@Chi50,

I guess your question has been answered. I only know you can enter 4 months before your program starts but must have covering health insurance for the period. This is not different from what Futuredon posted.

IOM offers subsidized ticket and baggage allowance. It is not a bad service. However, if you have a long transit in Dubai, you wouldn't be lodged in a temporary hotel for the next flight unlike if you book without them.

Shooting Stars is a team with history and philosophy. Good old days of Nigerian football league.

Others in that category were Stationery Stores (with fanatical following in Lagos Island) and Rangers of Enugu.

Matches between Shooting and Rangers or Stationery Stores attracted massive turn-outs, with stadium filled to capacity.
Stores was my favourite team when the likes of Peter Rufai (dodo mayana) and the great defender "barble wire" as we used to call him were there. My interest in the NFL died when stationery stores was relegated.

Those days at their Onola playing ground during training are days you get to see players at close range apart from the stadium. There is need for the government to revive our local league and build passion directed to European football to it.

Stores don't lose at Onikan stadium in those days else the Island will boil... cheesy

@debsty,

You can actually indicate interest in 190 on one EOI. There is a place for all the subclass you can tick.

Meanwhile, there is no problem with what you have done. You can't submit your EOI till you have done skills assessment.

^^^^ Good.

There are three bodies that assess accounting professionals. I think there's a body that gives positive assessment without ICAN, I don't know which of them does that. Nevertheless, add your ICAN qualification to avoid story that touch.

^^^ In the IELTS, you must score at least 7.0 point in each band to score 10 points and not overall score.

The process for 190 is same as 189. Reason you see many 190 is because most of those occupation are not on the SOL list and some needed extra point from state to reach 60.

You must also be 32 years the day you submit your application to get the 30 points.

Is your 8yrs experience post BSc and ICAN qualifications?

I'm really blessed by this post... God bless you all. I lost my wife just last month, and I'm left with our 2months old daughter. It has really been tough I must say. To be a widower at 30 years old isn't a funny thing.
May you always find help in the time of need. It is well with you.

In the Uk, 60% of medical students are female. About 60% of pharmacy students are females and about 45% of dentist are women.
You may not be far from the truth. The reason why there are more females in the biological and medical sciences is because they believe it is about reading and "pouring. To most of them, it doesn't require intensive mathematical exercise and modeling.

FrancisTony:
The number of females in Science is on the same par with male in our Nigerian Universities.
Check some Universities admission list, female kindof outnumbered male in Medicine & Surgery.

Maybe Engineering; that's a different aspect.
Maybe in the university you attended.

The science departments that you find lots of female are microbiology, botany, agriculture.

@Bukatyne and others quoting me.

I think you guys misunderstood my post. I didn't talk about coercion, I said they are encouraged and probably disabuse their minds. I know many females who wanted to study Engineering but the fear of the unknown of its difficulty put them off.
Family › Re: Women In STEM by bellong: 1:26pm On Oct 14, 2015
You got it wrong. The essence of encouraging women to be in STEM courses is to disabuse their minds about its gender stereotype.

In every university, check percentage of ladies in Engineering and science compared to administration and social sciences.

There were only 5 girls in my department in the university, 2 in civil engineering for my set, mechanical had only one ati bebe lo.. cheesy
