@thelish,

Your husband should have rented khaki boys to pick him up to their barrack for only 5hours. All his gra gra and shakara go don end.

That should have been an icing on the cake to sending him out.

I wish it were that simple

Most MILs would never treat their daughters or their daughters' husbands How they treat their DILs

The MILs know What they are doing smiley.
The MILs were once young wives who complained about their MILs. It is a vicious cycle restricted to the females.

Yes, it is not that simple but it is the basic to be done. Many female prior to meeting their MIL already formed a negative/evil opinion about her. I know many cases where the wives are actually the bad ones but they painted their MILs as evil to people who have no idea of the settings.

The wives who hate MILs for no reason also know what they are doing.

You know your MIL is evil, yet you went ahead to marry her son, you should blame yourself for your bad decision.

Hi Wellong,

I just feel I won't be able to achieve as much as I would have if it were just me.

I mean, even if i get to marry the most perfect man in the world, wifely roles are wifely roles. I just see myself relegating all my dreams and aspirations.
I'm not one of those people who believe that marrying and raising children is the key to fulfilment in life. I think there's so much more to life than just that.

Around me, I see wives and mothers quitting their jobs to run the homestead. They look happy on the outside, but I dont believe they are actually content

For me, this just totally outweighs the good parts

I may be wrong sha
Yes, you are wrong.

One of the reasons for marriage is to find an help-meet who will support and help you in fulfilling your dreams and visions.

Marriage with the right person makes this possible. Your business with seemingly unhappy people is to learn from them so as not to make the mistake they made.

Marriage is one of the best things that can happen to anyone.

@Manweysabi,

You can send an email to ask if they received it.

You can't request a copy from them. Your school should give you a student copy.

Family › Re: My kind of mother Inlaw! by bellong: 2:21am On Sep 28, 2015
Why is it that only the females always have issues with mother-in-law?

They keep complaining of mother-in-law when they will become one someday.

Yes, there are bad people but most times it boil down to individual's reactions and perceptions of the in-laws. Even the devil can be cohabited with in peace if you understand his weak spots.

The effort and energy most of you females expend in fighting or keeping grudges with mother-in-laws are enough to win them to your side completely if directed positively.

Search yourself first before complaining about mother-in-law.

Hello house,

My name is Favour. I'm 22, single and employed.

Almost everyone around me has started telling me it's high time I got hitched. But I'm still yet to decide on whether I want to actually go into this thing called marriage. So far, from what I know and from what I've seen, the cons outweigh the pros.

Anyways, y'all seem like really lovely and interesting people and I wouldn't mind coming here to chill every now and then.

Have a splendid week ahead, people
Welcome,

The welcome group will soon organise a party for you.

@bold, what are the cons you know that outweigh the pros?

Could you be explicit?

1. You can lodge your visa from any country you have the legal right to reside.

2. No, it will not, rather it will strengthen your visa application.

3. You need to visit border protection's website for the checklist of visitor's visa requirements.

Ewagbamio,

I guess there should be a place for travel history on the form. I am not conversant with the student visa application.
Nevertheless, upload just the new passport. The essence is to have current and correct information of your passport for the visa.

I don't want to say I'm hopeless but that's the way it is for me.

To put things succinctly it seems my siblings have decided to turn their back against me.

But it's not entirely their fault.
Everybody is responsible for his/her choices. They are your siblings truly but they have no compulsion to do your bidding.

As it is, you have life in you, that is a big positive. A living dog is better than a dead lion as there is hope for the dog.
Now you have to put your acts together. Decide on what you want to do with your life. Map out strategies on how you can achieve them. Take it one step at a time and you will get there.

Although, it is not as simple as that because you will encounter challenges but it should rather encourage you to reach your goal than discourage to have a good ending story to tell.

Don't give up, you still have life and it is never too late to start doing something.

Oga Bellong,

Thanks a lot for your input. At what step do one apply for State Sponsorship? Is it when she has been positively assessed by VETASSES?
Yes, after positive assessment and you will need your English test result also.

Eritac,

You apply for state nomination separately.

Hello house,

Please i need clarity about what VETASSESS meant by uploading a certify copy of my passport biopage.

I uploaded the original copy, they're still telling me they're not satisfied with it... and in 15 days time they'll cancel my application if i don't provide it.
This is strange. I scanned the original copy and was not asked for a certified copy. The person must be one Cert III qualified person who behaves like a robot.

@40manlappy,

You already quoted a post that listed the steps and process. That is all you need, follow the listed process.

the 6.5 score spoilt your good English score. You will need to rewrite to get at least 7point in each of the band.

If you go through the occupation list and you find an occupation that closely match your skill, either you or your wife can be the principal applicant. You both should do a self-assessment to know who has the higher points. The person with the higher points is better suited to be the principal applicant.

Ewagbamio,

Either you use an old passport or a new one, it is not the thing that actually matter. What matters with passport is having at least 6 months validity. I renewed my passport when I already submitted my application. Only forwarded the new passport with cancelled page of the old passport. The passport is no issue really.

If the school is ready to charge the fees on your card, it is easier and faster than T/T. In addition, it is cheaper to use.

@Ewagbamio,

When do you plan to lodge?

Anytime you apply for visa and you have less than 6months validity on the old passport, you can apply with a new passport but you have to include the old passport in your application.

There usually is a space for including old passport in the application form.

So, I will say you should go ahead with the payment.

Hello my people in the house, i have been following this thread silently, I have decided to talk today, please really need help and advice,
I graduated 2013 B.sc computer science, i have a family, i have been working as a sales rep for an oil company since then, i will like to travel to Australia to further my education, looking at masters in information technology or MSC computer science but i found out that tuition fee for those course are expensive, cant afford that for now, i am considering Advance diploma in information technology or graduate certificate course. please what chance do i stand on getting visa, can i travel with my family as a student?

Please your candid advice with be appreciated.

Thanks
Your chance in getting visa is how convincing you can be to the case officer. If you proof your intention of study and intent to return after studies, you are sure of getting the visa.

Yes, you can travel with your family as a student.
