Changing course for me might be difficult. Petroleum Geoscience is what I love and cherish.

I will appreciate the input of people working or studying in this field. Can't I get visa for post study work base on the "Graduate work" route?

Thank you for time in responding to my question. I appreciate your effort.
If you are keen about Petroleum Geoscience, Australia is not a place for it. USA, UK, Canada and Norway will probably be places for you to check out.

However, to get a post study visa, you need two years of study before you can qualify for it. You have to look for schools that offer it for two years. One of the misconceptions most prospective applicants have or misinformation from agents is that once you get post study visa, you will get PR after. If your course of study is not on the skilled list, no way you can get it except company sponsorship or family sponsorship.

@bolded, I read Geology and got sponsorship as a geologist before willing States removed it from their list.

I hope you get the input of geologists you seek.

Few questions for Bellong and others.
1. Do I have to apply separately to the State sponsoring the occupation?
2. Does the sponsoring change within a year or it is fix( any state that offers to sponsor do that until another list is out or sponsors comes in any time and an day)?
3. What about if your occupation differ from your academic qualification and your occupation is on Sol while your academic qualification is on scol. Can one choose the occupation since it is in Sol?
1. The comment you quoted should be enough to answer this question.. READ... you have to read instructions on the State's website. Some you apply directly, while for others indicating in your EOI is enough.

2. I don't understand the question.

3. Depends on the assessing body for the nominated occupation. What is your qualification in and what experience do you have?

Hello guys, I have B.Sc in Geology and I intend studying M.Sc Petroleum Geoscience in Australia, February 2017 entry. The school I have in mind offers the course for a year. Admission not yet secured. I have scholarship that will settle tuition. What are the chances of securing PR after studies?

Because I can't find the course on the SOL list. I need the inputs of gurus in the house as regards this.
You probably have to look for another course to study. Check the list and look for another course of interest on the list.

I'm sorry it's not anything you think while I was waiting the other person I texted with the airport wifi I was around as soon as I arrived was there not too long after so I left & I wanted to text you but it's Nigerian line I had & airport wifi went off immediately I walked out the airport & it was late I couldn't get any sim at the airport cause I wanted to call you back immediately anyway I'm so sorry for the inconvenience I caused you pls unblock me
Your excuse and explanation is incoherent and doesn't make any sense. You had a back up plan that you didn't inform him about but stringed him along.
What stopped you from using the phone of the person who came to pick you? or what stopped you from using the airport's wifi to update him of development before leaving the airport?
You probably think it is easy to pick someone from the airport leaving other personal schedules?

One principle to live by "Do unto others as you would like to be done to".

I have observed there are too many selfish and inconsiderate people on this thread. Prior to getting their visa, they are always active asking questions etc.. but as soon as they get what they want, they disappeared. Only resurface when in need of something like asking who is coming from Nigeria.

I understand that some could be busy but I don't see how busy you will be that you can't offer assistance once in a while. But not busy when in need of something.

JimsSG, I understand that one must look after himself but when looking after oneself will affect another party, every action must be considered not to cause the other party any harm.

What is done is done, I can only advice you to act wisely for your own sake as this kind of behaviour can block great benefits from you in the future.

Hello e fam. i have gone through the thread from page 0 and i have learnt a lot. Although, some questions will still need to be asked.
patner has 5yrs experience as a health info. mgr which is on the csol and sol. studied bus. admin in nig. my question is this:
1. since vetasses does not do advisory service. what then can he do first. should patner go ahead with assessment or what?
For emphasis sake and this goes to everyone reading. If your occupation is found only on the CSOL list, the first step is to check for States sponsoring the occupation. It is pertinent to state that not all occupation on the CSOL list is sponsored and some sponsored have additional requirements one must meet to get the State's nomination. This is why I encourage everyone to follow the instructions in the opening posts and read info from the links provided.

To address your question, Health Information Manager occupation is sponsored by only SA and Victoria. It is on special condition on SA list, meaning he needs about 80 points to get sponsorship while Victoria has this requirement that must be met "Must have a qualification accredited by the Health Information Management Association of Australia".

Does your partner have qualification accredited by HIMA? If no, he can't get nomination from Victoria as the additional requirement is not met. I don't think there is any point going ahead with that occupation.

What is your own qualification and occupation? You probably may be better as the principal applicant.

@Sammywemmy,

Congrats... All the best with your move..

@Phlunter01,

Not sure you can appeal. It is from reading section which is objective unlike writing or speaking that are both subjective.

Rewrite the exam and correct where you made mistake.

Please I am a newbie here and I would like to know how I can get the cheapest University in Australia
I am a graduate of Chem Engineering with a 2:1 result but I want to do my masters in sustainable & Renewable energy engineering.

Please help me...Thanks
If studying is your interest, Australia is not a country to study renewable energy. France, Germany, Turkey, USA, Iceland, New Zealand are some of the countries to study renewable energy.

The government of the day does not fund nor support renewable energy.

If it is relocation you seek, you can get a PR, chemical engineering is on the Skilled list.

Don't ask question how to go about it, read the thread, there is a link to the PR thread two pages before this.

What is your occupation?

@Occie3,

I don't VETASSES have a minimum years of experience you must have for managerial position.

What they are after is ability to substantiate any claim and correlation of your occupation with the nominated occupation.
Years of experience only matter for points.

If your advisory report says you can apply, then you can apply. You only need to provide the documents advised in the report.

I read only the opening post and it reminds me of a lady who once put up a post here before.

The story sounds similar but different moniker. The previous one also came from South Africa with pregnancy because the guy that impregnated her wasn't treating her well. She was staying with the mum and getting insults.

Is this op same with her?

Has her story been confirmed?

Aged care nursing is not the same as cert IV or Diploma in aged care. Aged care nursing is a specialist field in Nursing.

The diploma course falls under community service occupation.

If you do the diet, you can sustain or keep losing thigh fat by regular exercise modified for the thighs.

Hi bellong, just saw this post now.. i want to join and start.. i will start tomorrow but may i ask a question? If at the end of the 13 days i loose as much as that 12kg but still need to loose more 12 kg immediately. How do i go about it since you said 3 months to another therapy? And what will happen if i continue it to one full month?
Not advisable for your health. Why do you need a weight loss regimen? The person in your profile does not need it.

however, wait o.. can I use the result while its under appeal? I want to assess with EA asap
Check the number of weeks you have to appeal. if it is up to 4weeks, use it for EA assessment (fast track), then appeal after it.

Hello Oga bellong, Oknee and other wonderful patriarchs in the house.

I have been a silent and consistent follower of this thread.
However, I'm presently at a crossroad! I need to pay my assessment fee (800AUD) but has been difficult AND I don't have a dorm account.
Please, is there anyone in Australia that can be of help. What other options do I have besides hurriedly opening a dorm account?
Thanks
I am sorry, I can't be of help at this stage.

Hello everyone,

As USD is very scarce and getting PTA from banks is currently a long thing cos of scarcity, is it possible to buy pounds instead and change it to Australian Dollars at Australian airport probably from the Travelex stand or Australian fx dealers?
Yes you can... Don't change with travelex, better you change with forex dealers when you arrive. Travelex will charge you for transaction fee in addition to low rate they will give you.

whats your thought about aviation industry in australia?
my nephew is planning to apply for aviation course in aussie.
l only read post about engineering and medical field being promising.
There is room for any occupation your cousin is interested in. Aviation is a thriving occupation anywhere in the world, you only need to be good at what you do and the sky is the starting point.
