BB2016: University of Maiduguri, I worked as a field geologist for 3 years in a water drilling company I think Victoria and Tasmania still sponsor Geologist. Read the PR thread, do personal research and apply for PR. Once you get PR, if you are interested in PhD, you don't have to pay for tuition. I can give you guidance when you are ready, I read geology too. |

40manlappy,
She can assess with CA as suggested by accountants on the thread.
Your assessment and IELTS can only add 5marks.. I don't think it is that necessary except you guys really need it but you should know that VETASSES assessment takes minimum of 12weeks. |

I agree with you that VETASSES is crazy with qualification assessment of some universities in Nigeria. They have some universities they assess positive while some are negative.
I know where you are coming from, but not all universities get assessed negatively. I was assessed by VETASSES and some others, we got positive assessment with our Bachelor degree. |

Please, is it required that my spouse write any English test even when I'm not claiming point for partner skill qualification? On what condition is a proof of functional english required? Thanks for your anticipated response.
@Ifexsco, congratulations!!! Every adult attached to the application must have a functional English. To proof her functional English, she can either write English test or get a letter from her university that she was taught in English. |

Okosay: what is ur highest qualification? And which occupation are you nominating? If ur highest qualification is bsc you can't get positive assessment. You may likely get a positive assessment if you had worked in ur occupation even if the bsc degree is oversea however from my experience with vetassess this my opinion will stand because ur bsc is equivalent to AQF deploma and with one year work experience I'm sorry buh na straight negative assessment. . Thanks This is not true.. @Sophyrocks, Which university did you finish from? @Ifexsco, Wonderful... Congratulations.. I am very happy to hear the news... I wish you goodluck in the land |

BB2016: Guys, just out of curiosity. A PhD in Australia or USA which do u think will be better and why? I am seriously confused now. @Bellong, @West African, and the other gurus in the house pls help with ur inputs If the essence of PhD is to get a job, it is not necessarily important in Australia except you plan to work in research centres or university. Depending on your area of study, I will advice you do your PhD in USA as they have lots of funding for PhD compare to Australia that funding is limited. |

Remtol,
I am not an accountant, I don't know the process for CPA.
You can shoot them an email if after reading all the instructions on their website and you can't find answers.
I don't think syllabus is required but wait for the accountants to clarify that for you.
Yinkzy03,
For doctors, it is a marathon not a sprint.. Google AHPRA, you will find the process there.
You need to write an exam which is in two stages. You must be qualified to practice in Australia before you can apply for PR. |

slystanley: Hello house, please I need your response, I applied to flinders university for master's in social work or public administration. I got admitted to masters in public administration, please, will this course lead to PR and what's the job prospects in Aussie with the course? Some questions shouldn't be asked. You have the internet to check occupations on the Skilled list. Do it yourself, look through the list if you can find such money wasting course on the list. Look for another university and get admitted into social work, it will be of more benefits to you in all aspects. Moreover, find a school outside South Australia. |

@Tutubabe,
1. One of the links I put in the opening has job descriptions for all occupation. Type in your occupation and compare your current job description with it. You can always get to make it be related. Yes you can apply as long as you meet the requirements.
2. Assessment is done after payment (you shouldn't be asking this one) |

guadete: I graduated from FUTO the experience is just 2 years......
I choose Adelaide cos its cheap just 5500AUD I think its the lowest just any school u wanna help me with could b appreciated You don't choose school only because it is cheap, you have to put other factors into consideration. Have you done any personal research on the city? It is one of the things to do when considering relocation. Unfortunately, I can't help you look for schools, it is what you should do yourself. If you can get supporting documents for your work experience, you can consider the construction project manager. It is your responsibility to do personal research about it and the process. The templates are readily available here and on the internet with the help of Google. |

@tutubabe,
Why did you deactivate to register with a female like moniker? Questions are not responded to by gender.
The questions you asked are already answered in the thread. You can only be assessed by the assessing authority approved for your occupation.
It is you that should decide what your experience is and which occupation aligns with it. The assessing authority written against the occupation is the only one responsible for an occupation you choose.
I can't tell you what your rating is, the instructions are there to follow.
Thank you |

I need a little clarification on migration assessment: I have been coming across the terms "skills assessment" and "qualifications assessment". Are these embedded in what is called "migration assessment"? If not, which of these assessments is required for Australian PR? Thank you. Yes, the two are what made up the migration assessment. Your skills and qualifications. Reason why they divided to two is because of those who only need their skills or qualifications only assessed. |

Angiesteve,
VETASSES is not a too good assessing authority. They are like robots there, everything must be black and white..
Unfortunately, you will have to go with any of the accounting assessing body. You can always make your experience relate with that of an accountant. |
