@Tunatebabe,

NDT is non destructive testing right?

All your options get as e be.

VETASSESS assess NDT technician but it is sponsored by South Australia and Northern territory.

Mechanical engineering draftsperson is assessed by EA and sponsored by Victoria and Tasmania.

Mechanical engineering technician assessed by TRA and sponsored by Tasmania while it is on restricted in South Australia.

So rule out mechanical engineering technician. I think it is appropriate you go for any of the first two.

@Oga Udz
Thanks for your quick response. Really I for apply directly as a MECH engineer and being assessed by EA. But unfortunately, na HND I get, because I see BSC. SO that's why I am trying the other alternatives. Any other advice I dey wait ohhhhhh.
Thanks
I am not an engineer, I do not know the detailed description of an NDT engineer but I do know that you can write your description relating to mechanical technician.

You are better off assessed with EA as mechanical technician than with VETASSES.

Yes, you can get very cheap stuff from Kmart but the quality is questionable. Forget the quality, but you will enjoy the money spent.

Riverside sells quality clothing and affordable.

From your experience on this thread, which territory(ies) is/are more favorable to accountants and other finance-related occupations in terms of "state nomination"?
All the States sponsoring it are favourable.

Kmart is still better than all this. Also Christmas is coming very soon, things will be very cheap
Kmart doesn't sell used stuff. He asked for stores selling used stuff.

My name is Simon am from Nigeria, and am an intending applicant for the on going immigration in Australia. But my qualification is HND. so am so so confused on what to apply for. because there is no NDT or QAQC there. Do you suggest I apply for mechanical engineering technologist or please advise me on what to apply.

Apply for mechanical technician.

Read the job descriptions of a mechanical technician and relate your experience to it.

Read the thread and the links provided.

Thanks for your response. I'm a bit apprehensive, coz I am on scholarship which covers only me financially to study MEngSc at UNSW for two years. Won't DIBP ask for my financially capacity to cater for her in Sydney? Anticipating ur resourcesful answer.
If you want to invite her later, how will you proof your financial capability?

It is easier applying together than alone.

OmogeNG:
Right now, to be sincere, if you want a job and you want a job fast, the Northern Territory is the place to be. Many people swarm to the large cities like Sydney, Melbourne etc where there is more competition IMO. For a Civil Engineer for example, Darwin is your best bet for now. There is construction on every street, and it is the 2nd fastest going city, after Melbourne. Darwin also has the second lowest unemployment rate, only second to ACT, and the gap between Darwin and the 3rd lowest is quite large.
Very true..

Western Australia Police and the Northern Territory Police are the highest paid police officers.... They both have little bit difficult physical requirements.. Swimming for NT and high beep test for WA
Travel › Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by bellong(op): 2:58pm On Sep 08, 2016
@Ifexsco and to whom it may concern

OmogeNG has answered your questions, nothing for me to add really.

However, I will make one or two comments.

I can't tell you authoritatively the city to reside in as a Petroleum engineer because the oil and gas as well as the mining industry are experiencing a downturn which is a global phenomenon. About two weeks ago, someone living in Perth told me he has plan to relocate to Sydney as Engineers in Perth are becoming jobless due to the downturn.
Nevertheless, the petroleum centre of the country still remain Western Australia and Northern part of Queensland. When things get settled, you might want to beam your light there.
For environmental engineering or science, there are jobs available in most of the states/ major cities.

For the guy asking about ICT jobs, you might want to consider Melbourne or Sydney. Melbourne seems to be the SIlicon Valley of Australia as per ICT roles.

On securing a temporary jobs, as a start I should tell you that in this country, there is dignity in labour. It doesn't matter what you do, you will be able to afford basic things and pay your bills. The first step is to decide on what you want to do and the career path you want to follow. Once you reach that stage, identify requirements of the position and start working towards fulfilling them. Once you believe you meet it, begin throwing in application.
To help the initial bill payment, there are lots of unskilled jobs to do. Like Omoge said, you can do short course in disability and aged care if it is something you can do or do a three day course in forklift. You could be lucky to get something in your field immediately, there is no rule that says you can't.

If you have interest in policing, you can apply to join any of the police in any of the state except the Federal Police as citizenship is required to join.

When applying for your jobs, your cover letter or selection criteria address is more important than your CV. It is what will give you opportunity for interviews. Importance of a good cover letter cannot be overemphasized and you cant just write blank statement about your skills, you need to supply an example of how you have used the skill using the STAR format -Situation, Task, Action and Result (google how to answer behavioural questions)

What to do immediately you land.... Apply for TFN (tax file number)
Register with Medicare and family Tax benefit if you are travelling with your family immediately.
Start looking for job. I will advice you to suspend the Family tax benefit payment to yearly once you find a job to avoid paying back overpayment at the end of the financial year.

As per your short term, mid and long term career.. Only you know what you want out of life. Decide on what you want to do and go for it. You have the opportunity to do anything you want to do once you have the minimum requirement/qualification.

pls just a quick questions
1. In place of PTE/IELTS can my certification awarded to me by an American body stand in?
2. I am an Electrical Engr by BSc and also a Welding inspector, can i apply as an electrical engr and will i be able to work as a welding inspector (cos both SOL and CSOL has no welding inspection on their list, all i saw was fitter and welder).
thanks
1. The English test is for points, if you don't need point from English, you can ask for exemption but I don't know how you can make 60points without it.

Even if a Briton is to apply, he/she will write an English test to make up for the points.

2. Yes you can apply as an electrical engineer. You only need to write a very good CDR for Engineer Australia. Don't ask me how, I am not an Engineer.
You can work in any area you want when you arrive.

may God strike me with death if I really am attracted to this girl. And If I'm not, may God strike you with death. So shall it be!

What about that? My words come to pass most times and now you're pushing your limits. Ion feel sorry for you if you reap death over your assumptions... There's a level of personal insults I can tolerate. I don't do voodoo.
Did you say you are a church worker?

Is this what you are taught in church? Is this how you react to situations as a Christian?

When they ask who is a Christian, you shouldn't raise your hand.

You are still a young man, you need to learn how to address people. Most of the people you have insulted here, despite that they have been trying to help you stay clear from trouble, are not in any category your peer. They have children and understand the damage happening to that little girl. When you are of age and have a child, you will understand why their blood is hot.

You definitely need to learn how to behave that people may not speak unruly and unworthy about your faith nor even question your faith.

Your church activities is useless without character, godliness and Holiness.

You should find this portion in your Bible..

"Pursue peace with all men...."

You have been told the responsible thing to do..
Tell the mother, if you can't, stay away by all means from the girl.

If you were living in a different environment, you would be arrested for your silence over the past 12months.

You owe the little girl duty of care to nip this behavior in the bud early before she becomes completely damage.

So, stop exchanging invectives with people, take to correction and do what is right.

You need to talk to either the mother or father. Someone gave you the best way to do it, take to it.

Pls I'm new here, I just saw this your links. And I spent little time to go through it. I'm intending to make EOI through skilledselect...what are the Documents required to do this. Thanks. I have Degree in Civil Engineering in 2010 with minimum of 5 years experience in building construction. In addition to my education qualification, I'm about to finish Masters in Highway engineering also. Pls can you help me with useful information on the necessary Documents and Visa type that's applicable to my case.
Thanks in anticipation
If you are really serious, it is not little time you will spend but good time.

With this your profile, you can easily get a permanent resident visa. Read the thread I opened on guidelines for PR.

Go through every link in the thread, read the website of Engineers Australia who is responsible for assessing engineers.

If you read everything well, you will not need to ask any question because most challenges you may face in the process have been adequately answered.

The ball is in your court now.

So what do you suggest please.... I need your help on this.
Thanks in anticipation
Well, as you have no experience in your degree, I don't know any banking related occupation that is sponsored. It is left for you to search the skill list and find a closely related occupation. You have to be sure the assessing body will agree with your degree for the occupation, although a minimum of five years experience can equate the qualification, however, not all the assessing authorities do that. The ball is in your court.

@STOWHY,

She will have to write an English exam as a proof of her functional English.

Just seeing this... If our police are reasonable, this is pure sexual abuse. He deserves to be behind bars.

In addition to my earlier rant, you need to work on your character and attractions. How on earth will friends be fighting every time. What kind of friendship have you been keeping for four years that you guys are yet to understand each other.

Being friend with you doesn't mean he should ask you out. If you have feelings find a way to express it than transferring aggression. This is how young single female lecturers victimise boys in the universities.

You obviously have need of serious work on you.

Next time someone forces his John Thomas on you, bite it extremely hard till you cut it into two like meat, afterwards, report him for sexual abuse.
Family › Re: Advice Needed. How Do I Move On? by bellong: 5:51am On Sep 05, 2016
Someone packed into your house without your consent?

Because of whatever you call it, he forced you to sexually pleasure him? You need to know what sexual abuse means.

Lady, you sure need to work on your self esteem.

No matter the level of quarrel, I don't think a good friend will embarrass you by tearing your clothes. Shows the content of his character and you are losing sleep over such a person.

It amazes me how some ladies think. Some things should naturally bring hatred to your heart, this action is one of them. Heck, I can't for the life of me condone such a person.

Except you guys have been having consensual sexual relationship without attachments and you can't let go. Even at that, his actions is below par.

How do you move on, you just have to move on by loving yourself and working on your self esteem.

See, your unreasonable closeness to him may have sent away responsible guys who will treat you right. I can't phantom someone asking you out when he knows you cohabit with another guy.
