budaatum: There would even be white kids living in this same neighbourhood that might not have the same opportunity to learn don't you think, or do you believe sitting in the same class implies equal opportunity?
What if one kid comes from a home where father was alcoholic and was up last night beatinh mother, would that kid have the same opportunity as others because they are in the same class? And what if one kid walked miles with no breakfast while another had breakfast and was driven in a car, would they both have equal opportunity to learn?
You've managed to convince yourself of what you see and think is real and can't be bothered to open your eyes so you can see.
buda opposes the fact that some people, regardless of their race or gender or sex or whatnot, are victims of poverty and ignorance, and while I wish you would educate yourself, we must make allowances for your deficiencies and help you overcome them knowing it is you who must do the work to learn because no one owes you anything. How is it white supremacy then if you believe what you just said? People learn different, using words like white supremacy to label something you think may affect even white kids is not a good way to address a problem. There are classes of people. My boy goes to school, when he comes home a private tutor is waiting for him. He brush him some more. He gets classes on Saturday. When the common entrance comes, my boy did very well. We all know sitting in the same class has equal opportunity for all to learn. They hear the same lectures and get the same test. Please tell us why the way one kid thinks differs from the other = white supremacy? You see victim everywhere you look. People have class. Blacks have those class too... It's not every black person that is in the ghetto and it's not every white person that is in a rich hood. Buda blames the white man for everything. Buda needs reflect in his hatred for sanity |

budaatum: Read up on the straw man fallacy. It might inform what you did here.
Just look at how you conduct yourself and you might understand that some people who were taught in the same classes as you learnt something different to what you seem to have learnt.
So, the book is advocating that teachers give students work but the student does not need to do the work because they don't have to show it if they are black or latinx?
I suggest you repeat English reading class if you were discriminated against and never learnt to understand what you read because I did not say anyone asked me to be bus driver. Where is the strawman please... People learn differently because we think differnetly. Equality does not mean equality of outcome. You and I think differently, there will always be disparities in our understanding. This is common sense. No... The book advocate that requiring student to show their work is akin to white supremacy. You saw that. So who where you talking about. Who was asked to be a bus driver? |

budaatum: Did you go to any school? Is this how they taught you to engage with others? Do you not think that if this were the conduct you were taught to engage with others that your teacher might have not taught you well or you might just not have learnt well? So tell me, how many heads do white people have that you think you can not compete with them? I am talking about people in the same class you are talking about how blacks suffered in history. So how does people of color required to raise their hands before they speak in class white supremacy? Everyone raise their hands before they speak regardless of race. Isn't it? |

budaatum: I was lost for words myself. A Nigerian saying black people have the same opportunities white people have anywhere especially in America.
He probably thinks Nigerians have the same opportunity as Americans too despite our poorly funded schools and poorly trained and compensated teachers and lack of electricity which disadvantage us, and if some rise up and demand equity on the business stage, which pretty is relatively there already, he'd likely say "buda supports white supremacy because maths is racist". Hahaha, lmao. It is not about opportunity. We all have brain to study, unless you think you are brainless and was born without brain. This is how you can not comprehend. If a kid finds himself in the same class and school as a white kid, they live in the same neighborhood, then they have the same opportunities to learn. Asians are doing better and what will you say about that? When Nigerians go to USA to study, statistics shows they do better. So tell me... Are whites not involve in the place they do better than whites? Why do you guys love victimhood? |

budaatum: And you don't understand how white supremacy can show up in classrooms or why how one gets even to the wrong answer in maths matters as a learning tool but would rather believe that buda would rather the standard for maths be reduced because you are black?
bemeruca, please, if that is what you understand and choose to believe buda believes, then so be it. I myself know the book talks about a lot more than what you understand. We have had the same white supremacy issues where I live whereby black kids were encouraged to become bus drivers and secretarys and nurses while their white classmates were driven to be doctors and lawyers and accountants. Lowering standards for black kids, which is what you understand this book is about, is very different and the opposite of even your "equity in maths" you'd find it you thought about it. Equity means to equally teach the same things the same way to the same standards, while reducing standards for black is its opposite! Are you suggesting buda supports both or might there be something wrong with your understanding?
Let me add that I am honoured that what you think buda believes matters and is so important to you, but rather than you using your mind reading skills to read buda's mind I'd suggest you actually ask buda. Equality means that the law and government treats everyone the same, irrespective of their status or identity. Equity means that, in some circumstances, people need to be treated differently in order to provide meaningful equality of opportunity. Neither “equality” nor “equity” guarantee equality of outcomes. Equality is providing the same level of opportunity and assistance to all segments of society, such as races and genders. So the equity is to not show your work and not get the right answer for people of color? I am still waiting for your example where you demonstrate how black kids get different lectures from the teacher. I mean, they are in the same place, the same time and in the same lecture as every other kids. Showing your work is what will enable a teacher pinpoint where your mistake is coming from. The book is against showing work. You said someone ask you to be a bus driver, his does that relate to this book you are supporting? |

IjeBos: This is probably the single most disgustingly ignorant statement you have made on this thread. You don't have to say whatever idiotic nonsense comes to your mind. Crack open a f'king US history book for once in your life if you feel the need to discuss US history. Dude shut the Bleep up. You went to a white school, you claimed you are the best. You are not different from white kids. You took the same class in the same language. Victims like you will never accept the truth. Nigerians are going over there and doing well academically. White and black kids have one head. Doing maths has a required expectations. Getting the right answer is one... But more important is showing your work. The book claimed both are white supremacy and we have people here supporting that nonsense. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by bemeruca: 1:20pm On Jul 03, 2023 |
budaatum: That's what you see, and I don't see what you see.
No parent, black Latin or whatever, would claim asking their child to show their work is white supremacy or any sort of discrimination whatsoever. People just aren't as stupid and ignorant as you seem to think people are. Well, the book are supporting is saying that. So maybe you are an ignoramus. The book says WS shows up when the focus is on getting the right answer. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by bemeruca: 1:18pm On Jul 03, 2023 |
budaatum: You understand it to mean that. And what you fail to consider is that these students will eventually sit for Sats where the proper answer is what would enable them to pass.
When all these blacks and latinx all fail, would there not be hell to pay and lots of reputations tarnished, or is it your opinion people don't care about their reputation in litigal America where you could likely sue teacher who teaches you 2+2=2⅔?
I'm not going to tell you which school anywhere, because that would be as absurd as asking you to show me a school where children are being taught the wrong answers to maths! You must have been to school yourself and noticed at least one kid who was discriminated against and therefore must know "How are kids in the same class learning from the same teacher at the same time getting different teaching" such that they don't get the same education everyone else got.
Equity does not only have to mean teacher teaching the same right answers in maths, but also the school providing an equal environment for every child to thrive and don't get black lives mattered or white supremed or anti gayed or anti womaned etc.
Sorry if this is what you understand, because nowhere did I say "require Black student and Latin Students to show their work or get the right answer" is "white supremacy", and you thinking I said so just indicates that you are getting the wrong understanding of what you read and are trying to insist that your understanding is what I wrote when it's glaringly obvious it isn't.
Reducing standards for blacks and latins, if done, is what idiots would do, and this book is not asking for a reduction of standards for anyone! Parents, black or Latin or poor, I don't think would send their children to substandard schools with substandard grading unless they are substandard themselves. State authorities that are responsible for standards in schools would object to such nonsense even if the school finds teachers stupid enough to condone it and I happen to know that a lot of black people are not substandard and want the best for their children, as do potential employers and even the government that collects tax, but despite all that, you want to believe that anyone is asking for lower standards for blacks and latins.
Sorry, but I really can not help you with your reason to think buda wants black and latins to be ignorant when my every day wish is that black Nigerians become more knowledgeable and smarter and wiser. This is embarrassing. The fact that they use a term like white supremacy up and down only shows their agenda. Black Americans grew up in the us. They are no different from whites. Unless you can prove to me where in a class a lecture teach people differently base on their race or mark them different base on their race... You are a joke. The same SAT the black kids will take, the white kids will take it too. I don't know what school you went to that they say you should be a bus driver... If that's the case, you need to go back to school today. |

budaatum: This is just dishonest! What you posted was preceeded by the following:
We see white supremacy culture show up in the mathematics classroom even as we carry out our professional responsibilities outlined in the California Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTP). Using CSTP as a framework, we see white supremacy culture in the mathematics classroom can show up when:
But you refuse to note what that means and god I don't know why I am wasting my time to be honest. Lmao, they see white supremacy because they ask student of color to show their work or get the right answer. Hahaha. |

budaatum: Regarding your image, you left out superiority, whereby you pays your monies and get what you buy. After all, America is not a communist country that practices the equity or justice in the image you added.
Justice of removing barriers for all would be great but as ideal as a complete capitalist system would be, which is why those who require support in their education should get it, be it extra tutoring or reduced fees and be they black or white, and thankfully America seems enlightened enough to provide both along with healthcare for those who can't afford it.
Anyone, however, reducing the pass mark in maths or any other subject for blacks or any one else is trying to enslave those people into mediocrity. And this book is not asking for any such reduction in standards, but for a recognition of why the student got to the wrong answer, which any good teacher would do any way because knowing how and why a student arrived at their wrong answer helps you lead them better to get the right answer themselves. Those who require support will get it. everyone gets equal support. it becomes equity when you lower the standards for a particular set. and the book is implying not lowering the standards for that set is akin to white supremacy. everywhere in the world it is the same standard for maths. you have to show you work and get the right answer... showing your work can give you 95% marks even if the answer is wrong. it means the instructor can see if you understand what you are doing and he will also understand where your mistake comes from. no one is perfect. The book is saying those requirements negative to black and latinx • The focus is on getting the “right” answer. • Independent practice is valued over teamwork or collaboration. • Students are required to “show their work.” • Grading practices are focused on lack of knowledge. • “Real-world math” is valued over math in the real world. • Students are tracked (into courses/pathways and within the classroom). • Participation structures reinforce dominant ways of being. |

budaatum: No, it is not. So go inside the book and show me where it mentions anything that means this your, "equity in maths". I have posted a link to the book somewhere and if you've really been reading buda you'd find it and post it here showing where you get "equity in maths" from.
In fact, bemeruca, forgive me. This is the first I'm engaging with you, so, if you don't mind, can we perhaps start with what equity is?
Define equity, please. White supremacy culture infiltrates math classrooms in everyday teacher actions. Coupled with the beliefs that underlie these actions, they perpetuate educational harm on Black, Latinx, and multilingual students, denying them full access to the world of mathematics. The table below identifies the ways in which white supremacy shows up in math classrooms. • The focus is on getting the “right” answer. White supremacy shows up in classrooms when Black and Latinx students are required to get the right answer in maths or to show their work

budaatum: The book does not push "equity in maths" as you seem to imagine. The book you got it from has the word "instruction" in its title, but I guess some don't even have equity in reading not to talk of the more superior ability to understand what they read. If you did, you'd easily understand that they mean equity in teaching, as in fund schools equally regardless of race, and treat students fairly regardless of their race. The title of a book is not the content of a book. You are the one who does not understand |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by bemeruca: 6:01pm On Jul 02, 2023 |
budaatum: I don't want equity in anything that you can go acquire for yourself. Blacks, or anyone who wants equity in maths should go pick up a maths book and study it. Though I must wonder why any one would want equity in anything, as in equal to others, when you can study harder and be superior in maths to others.
Most parents don't want equity for their child and that's why they don't send their children to free state.schools but pay school fees to buy superiority.
As for pronouns, I don't care what pronoun you want to be used to describe you. I can hold conversation with you without finding the need to pronounise you very easily and you can't force me to do otherwise. You don't want it but you support people pushing it out there. So why support ideologies you don't want? You argued for days supporting the authors of that book. You won't care because it is not affecting you. Others care because it is affecting others. Society is becoming a joke, more times than often you are arguing against people who complain how bad society is becoming. This is what really baffles me about you. We know what's coming. They do it bits by bits. You see how the UK is doing their own? In Toronto Canada, adults perverts were nude in front of kids walking freely. |

Buda support it because he is always arguing with people who are against it. Example, explicit contents in books, parents complain schools are putting explicit books in libs. But accused the parents of planting it there and buda also took the side of the schools by making excuses for them. Buda supports a book who insinuate that blacks and latinx people need equity in maths. That getting the right answers in maths is akin to white supremacy. That is just a few buda supports. There are more. |

That time, they drove 7 cars up for us. The car you saw, a couple of Benz Suvs, a BMW Suv, a couple of regular Suv's and a Range. (that last list was me just showing off so you can cry to sleep).

Normally the cars come in, drive around the water fountain about 200 yards to the house, lets people out, then they head to the back to get washed and cleaned and put away. If a car is needed relatively soon, it sits out in that corner so that the police detail can roll their truck out first, then the car rolls around the fountain up to the house and picks people up and so it is then behind the police truck (whatever they call it) and then another police truck falls in behind it. And off we go. Something like the pic below. I promise you, you want to let this go. What an escort. 😂😂 empty police truck is what you are bragging about. Way too ahead as well.
