The demonstrators, who were singing solidarity songs in support of the Labour Party presidential candidate, marched from the Unity Fountain to City Gate opposite the Moshood Abiola National Stadium amid heavy security.

The supporters said the fitness rally was organized to counter the notion in some quarters that Obi and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, have no physical structures beyond social media.
