Business Man!!!!

You're right though; War won't be good for business.

Most business centres won't function during war.

aminulive:
General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has urged Nigerians to quit talking about War in the country.

In a statement through his assistant general overseer, Pastor Johnson Adesola, at a Thanksgiving service in Lagos, Adeboye advised Nigerians to focus on Praying for the country. He added that the country can only achieve Economic growth in a time of peace.

He further stated that the country should not go back to its ugly past of conflict, pointing out that the 1967 civil war was bad for the country.

"I do not want war in Nigeria. Please stop talking about war.We should now concentrate on praying that God should restore the glory of Lagos and Nigeria, in general.I believe that if there is no war, Nigeria shall be great again."

Enough of this foolishness you guys display online. If the innovation is Igbo, problem; if it's from others, problem.

Why all this? Where is all this tendencies coming from?

You guys are basically isolating yourselves.

Stop this inferiority complex and whining about everything.
You're making yourselves a laughing stock.

I am Igbo, and I tell you, we are no where as wise as we think; in fact we are the most foolish of all the tribes I've seen in Nigeria.

Those of you foolish enough can rain your insults. It only confirm the obvious.

I am Igbo and I concur with the op.

Thanks indeed guys.

My advice for particularly our Yoruba members online is, endeavor to ignor some of my Igbo brothers provocative post here.

If you learn to stop responding in kind, things will change sooner here than you might imagine.

Truth is Igbos are pained by the status quo and it's really easy for us to pick up a fight now with anyone who gives us the opportunity.

Be more sympathetic and things will improve.
The truth is deep down southern Nigeria love themselves and face a common enemy.

Am afraid Buhari may only have succeeded in creating what perhaps he intends to prevent.

If anyone thinks that there is any Igbo man or woman seeing this photos of the activities of the military in the southeast and still be indifferent, that person is living in fools paradise.

I hope they end this activities immediately otherwise, the military may have much more than ipob members to contend with.

This deployment is a mistake of which consequence we may be yet to really realize.

The military must be withdrawn now before it's too late.

moninuola65:
By the time all Nigerian were trying to to avoid another blood shed in this country, igbo is digging deep to find anything that will bring war.
Nnamdi kanu ipob provocation on the government and Nigeria nation is continue non-stop, which lead to the Arewa quit notice, and the effort of the government and leaders to calm de jeux, still igbo is bring out another system of not only provocation but threat to the country.
among of these:-
i. Barrister Vincent Egechukwu Obetta, on behalf the Igbo ethnic group resident in northern Nigeria, filed three lawsuits against Alhaji Yerima Shettima for alleged “treasonable notice,” amongst other crimes.

Barr. Obetta, in a statement he signed, named other respondents in the suits as the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Federal Government of Nigeria.

He declared "If they fail to arrest him he would proceed to the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Holland, to press Criminal Charges against (i) Alh Yerima Shettima (ii) The IGP (iii) The Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) as the Chief Law Officer of Nigeria (iv) Prof Ango Abdullahi and (v) Prof Yemi Osinbajo as the Ag. President of Nigeria when the 06/06/2017 of Aiding and Abetting a second Genocide against the Ndigbo in the North.

ii. Lawyer from United States law firm, Fein & DelValle PLLC, have filed a suit against Major-General TY Buratai, the Chief of Army Staff; Mr. Willie Obiano, governor of Anambra State; Mr. Okezie Ikpeazu, Abia State governor and 13 others in the US District Court for the District of Columbia.

So the questions are;
if those people taken to court guilty and arrested can igbo still living in those region peacefully?
if the Arewa youths arrested as igbo wish can those igbo in the north rest in peacefully now?
Why igbo still believe they can retaliate the past civil war on Nigeria?
Whoever you are; pls accept my sincere sympathy.
You've truly shown from your post that for you the fear of Hausa Fulani is the beginning of wisdom.

Now I understand the reason why we are where we are; FEAR.
You and your people are so afraid of Hausa Fulani that you would rather die in silence that speak out against your slave masters.
So when Igbo people challenge the status quo, they are calling for war and genocide abihuh
Lwkmd.....

My heart bleeds for your kind.

FELA aptly described you in SUFFERING AND SMILING.

All I have to say to you is sorry.

As for your fear of war; one American said, "nobody has seen the end of war".

Shehu Sani slams T. Y Danjuma, others over Buhari
2017/07/16 04:45:36dailytrust.com.ng

Chairman of the Senate Committee on Local and Foreign Debt, Senator Shehu Sani yesterday slammed former Defence Minister, retired General Theophilus Y. Danjuma and other members of the National Christian Elders Forum, for accusing President Muhammadu Buhari of pursuing an Islamic agenda in the country.

Danjuma and other members of the forum, including Solomon Asemota, Joshua Dogonyaro and Zamani Lekwot, both retired generals, had at the end of a meeting blamed the Buhari administration for the current ethnic crisis and agitation for secession in Nigeria, accusing the government of deliberately disregarding the constitution and federal character.

But Senator Sani in his Facebook post, said it’s unfair to accuse President Buhari or his administration of having any theocratic agenda.

“Other issues raised about his administration may or may not be true but certainly he is not a religious bigot. If there exist credible evidence of a religious agenda, I’ll be one of the first to raise a voice.

“Elder statesmen should champion the cause of peace and national unity and not aggravate the crisis. In this inflammable or combustible state of our country, we don’t need more bellows of ethnic smoke or religious flames.

“We must balance our natural passion to defend our ethnic and religious rights and our moral duty to preserve peace and our constitutional responsibility to preserve the unity of our country, “he said.

PoliticsThe Only People Against Nnamdi Kalu Agitation Are Hausa Fulani by BENARI(op): 11:26pm On Jun 26, 2017
My dear Hausa Fulani brothers, do not be fooled, Nnamdi Kalu is just a smoke screen.
He has the full support of politicians from the Christian North all the way to the entire Southern Nigeria.

The real goal is not Biafra but restructuring. They've found in Kalu a vehicle to reach there destination(restructuring).

Even Kalu does not expect his agitation to lead to biafra at least for now if you've been reading between the lines of his recent statements.

I assure you all that Hausa Fulani politicians fully understand the game going on.
Both region are simply play chess with the other.
The only thing the North is worried about is revenue otherwise they'd happily give in, but they need to be certain they won't suffer economically.

Truth is buhari aggravated the situation by his myopic bigotry. Actually the call has always been there. Even Nnamdi Kalu has been around long before buhari came to power.

Buhari brought his people into this quagmire and they know it. If he was as Smart as yaradua we won't be where we are.

All of you making noise here and insulting each other are just miserably ignorant of what is really happening in the actual political arena.

What a pity.
PoliticsArewa Youth Quit Notice: Lull In Abuja Property Market As Igbos Weigh Options by BENARI(op): 9:59pm On Jun 21, 2017
There're indications that Igbos now see investment in Abuja and the North as high risk following the eviction notice by the so called arewa youths.

Reports indicate a very weary attitude by not just Igbos but southerners in general towards further investments in the North and Abuja.

Many now favour looking homeward as they now worry that even beyond October 1st, Nigeria may never be the same again.
Already prices of properties are beginning to point southward as many look to lessen there exposure to possible eventuality.

PoliticsEnough Of This Igbo And Yoruba War On Nairaland by BENARI(op): 8:00pm On Jun 10, 2017
To be honest I don't know why when and how this Igbo Yoruba online war started here on Nairaland, but as an Igbo man born and raised in the North, I must say am hugely ashamed and disappointed in both tribe's forum members here particularly with my Igbo brothers.

One thing is certain, every tribe has got it's peculiarities, positive and negative alike, but the fact remains that Nairaland does not truly reflect the relationship that exist among Igbos and Yorubas. You guys are wrong.

There is no doubting the fact that both tribes hold one thing or the other against the other, same way some Igbo states hold something against other Igbo states and likewise with the Yorubas too amongst themselves, but they're not serious enough to cause the kind of rivalry and hate that is presented here.

I've lost count of intermarriages between both tribes I've been part of. I can't count the number of business and other partnerships that has been built between this two tribes.

Believe it or Not, Igbos and Yorubas have a common enemy in Nigeria. I say this from a position of knowledge as someone who was raised in the North. The Hausa man has absolutely no love lust for neither tribes. Rather depending on which of them favour there selfish agenda at any given time, the other becomes the enemy.
When it was time to rubbish MKO, the Igbos were the darlings, and when it was time to rubbish Jonathan, the Yorubas were the choicest of tribe.
It's all a gimmick. The war of words between Igbos and Yorubas only favors non other than the Hausa fulani.

I personally do not support a break up of Nigeria but I support a movement that would ensure equality and respect for all without one tribe feeling its the sacred cow. It is my hope that the Biafran agitation will make our Hausa Brothers rethink there ownership mentality of Nigeria and realise that we are all equal stakeholders in the project called Nigeria.

By the way, I must state neither the Yorubas nor the Igbos can make any meaningful progress in achieving anything in Nigeria without the strong support of the other. The South must cooperate fully in other to get anything out of the core North. Even the middle belt are counting on an eventual southern cooperation someday.

I have nothing against the Hausa fulani personally, but I think they've been too selfish and Strong handed as far the Nigerian project is concerned to very annoying degree.
On an individual level, they are unrivalled in many other good qualities in human relationships except Off Course for there penchant for violence against persons of other religion and tribe.

Enough is enough of the Igbo Yoruba online war.
We must learn to express our opinions without resorting to insults and hate speeches. I think very low of individuals who engage in such.

For those who fail to heed my advice, you can be sure the moderators of this forum are working on something that might make it impossible for you to do anything meaningful with this forum soon. Worst still, this forum might just attract the wrath of the government someday; that would be really bad for us all and the owners of this forum.

Be nice!!!!!!!
