The point of the ex minister was not to criticize but rather he simply asked if Nigeria was prepared for the post oil world. Alternatives to oil for power generation is being used eg solar, electric cars etc and since our economy depends on oil, what happens when there is lower demand?

Why not get a seasoned, successful modern day retired entrepreneurs to run the customs service. A visionary leader that has created wealth. We have so many of them eg the Elemelus, Jim Ovias, Adesinas etc. People that will see it as contributing to society
These men will run the business side of the service while regular customs officers will control the enforcement aspect. They ie customs officials will have nothing to do with the finances.

I give use the example of 3 gates in Lagos.

2. lekki concession llc toll gate
3. Murtital muhammed airport toll gate.

Have you seen how efficiently the first 2 are ran? especially the shoprite car park. They are generating millions because they are operated by professionals. Private business. They will not shut down shoprite just because a fence fell and cars are bypassing the toll booth. Rather they will quickly with all urgency repair the fence so it does not affect revenue.

Now check out the MMA toll gate. They have the electronic machines installed ohh. But the workers will "chook" it with screwdrivers to make sure it does not work ie so they can sell with manual tickets and even print their own personal tickets. Corruption thrives in confusion.

The huawei OS i understand will be open source android based and hence existing android apps will surely work on it. Your bank apps and others will work. After all people root their devices and install open source android OS for different reasons.

See, i do not know about others, but i will buy huawei for sentimental reasons even if it does not have Google apps. They have huawei app store and i will make do with what they have. I will buy their phone even if it is only touch light app installed on it.
I am simply fed up with the monopoly of the US and personally will boycott their products and support huawei to create alternatives.
I currently use huawei Y9 2019 and its the best value for money phone i ever bought.
