YorubaHero12: Like I said, no amount of propaganda can affect the Yorubas, we are wise enough to take our future in our hands. We only act at our own discretion and not when you guys want us to act.
Your enemy should not be our enemy and vice versa.
We know that they gave a lot of you money to open several account online to push the hate propaganda with the motive of setting the country on fire. But we are starting to see the narrative now and people are waking up to this.
Where is the cow?? Where is the cow? Have you checked in the bush? Or do you expect them to take the cows along while committing banditry? |

BMedia: So sad, may her soul rest in peace.
However from the eye witness account of her driver, there was nothing to even suggest that the attack was done by any Fulani herdsmen.
It makes any thinker wonder if we just started having masked armed robbers on our highways. Did they all suddenly repent at once? Or did they go on holiday? Let us use our brains for goodness sake.
We should be careful in labeling every killing in the south to herdsmen because not only does it mean we cannot find the true killers as we are pointing in the wrong direction, but we are also dancing to the tune of enemies of this country who seem to want a war between Yoruba and the North for their selfish and wicked interests. 100% of survivors of attacks and kidnappings on the shagamu-benin, gbogon-oshogbo, kaduna-abuja roads have testified that it was armed Fulani that attacked them. The oau lecturer attacked recently said it was Fulani. There is no point being politically correct. This issue is getting out of hand and if it is not stopped now it will be too late in few months. My reason for saying this is that these herdsmen have started tasting millions from kidnapping and they are seeing that it is more profitable than rearing cows. It has gotten to the stage the kidnap in "bulk". 30-40 people at once! The more the merrier. They will inform their colleagues all over Africa that southern Nigeria is a land flowing with "milk and honey" and more will come as we are soft targets to the herdsmen since we do not have a culture of violence over here. |

His Excellence, President Mohammadu Buhari (GCFR) should give the IGP an ultimatum to get killers behind bars Hmmm. Where have you been all these while. Seems you still do not understand what is going on. Nothing will be done about the criminal herdsmen. They have turned the western roads into their play ground. It is more profitable for them to kidnap than sell cows. Their kidnapping level is on another level they pack as much people as possible. |

laudate: Sell it in order to achieve what? In many countries, the airports are run by govt agencies, and not private individuals, and such airports are well run.
It has little to do with govt, but the people who are appointed to run the airport. If the right people are put in charge, it will work.
Changi Airport in Singapore, is rated as one of the best airports in the world. It is still owned and run by the government of Singapore. Do their own civil servants have two heads?
All the govt owned parastatals and companies sold off in the past, what happened to them? Many of them are either comatose or dead.
This same MMIA was well run in the 80s all through the 90s. Why did it suddenly go down? Wasn't it civil servants that were in charge when it was well run in the past? We need to ask relevant questions. Yes sir. They have 2 heads. And mmia has never been run well right from inception in the 80ies and 90ties. Over the years Nigeria has suffered a breakdown in work ethics, morals, selfishness etc. The attitude of it is not my "father work" syndrome. Everybody in the civil service is a thief all out to get what he can. Go and investigate. Most civil servants live above their means. Even effcc officials are millionaires. It is not curse but we have gone so rotten government cannot run any services or business. Eg. Look at the shoprite car park toll booth or lekki concession toll gate how efficiently they are ran and compare to that of Lagos Airport. They have the toll machine there but they will "chook" it so it will break down and hence sell paper tickets printed by them. As regards government assets privatized before, most were not sold properly but to cronies who did not have the expertise or financial wherewithal. Few are successful though eg Intel, mm2 etc. How come Nigeria cannot run a national carrier when ghana, rwanda, even Syria own airlines? I stand to be corrected but most airports, even sea ports are privatized in Europe. At least I know a Nigerian lead the consortium that bought Heathrow. |

Travel › Re: Murtala Muhammed Airport Sets Up Task Force For Traffic Management by bendike: 6:27pm On Jul 11, 2019 |
laudate: What happened to the massive underground parking lot beneath the MMIA airport? It used to be functional in the past, and passengers could take the lift, directly from the terminal to the basement car park. This helped to curtail traffic at the international airport.
What happened later? They closed it up and allowed it to rot. It is still there, empty and rotting away in darkness.
Next, they put in place passenger buses, to carry travellers from the airport to the open space car park, located several metres away from the building terminal.
Cars were parked in the open space car park, and intending travellers had to join the buses to the airport terminal to board their flights. This helped to curtail traffic.
After a while, those luxurious buses started breaking down, and only few ones were made available to passengers. Long queues then started to emerge.
Traffic management became a nightmare at the international airport, as all kinds of cars were allowed to drive straight up the ramp leading to the arrival and departure halls.
Until we get the fundamental basics right in this country, we will just waste time creating stupid rules to treat the symptoms, instead of curing the disease of traffic congestion, from the roots. They should just sell the airport. As far as you have Nigerian civil servants running the place, it will never work. Compare that airport to the local one owned by bi Courtney and you see the difference. Meanwhile faan wants to collect it too. |

abnot: The day I paid $400 for a British airways flight from London Heathrow to New York return trip I knew there was something wrong and these European airlines have been reaping off Nigerians. Nigerians pay over $1000 for a 6 hour flight from Abuja to London. They have been reaping us truly. But from my findings the major issue is not from the airline but from our government. Most of the time the taxes are actually more that what the airline gets. As in the nuc which is what gets to the airline could be $400 while tax to government might be N150k. |

AbuuBilaal: Firstly, comparing pigs to cows is an erroneous comparison. Cows are eating by virtually everybody in the country. I do not know any tribe that doesn't eat beef. Rather, all other meat sources only supplement beef.
Secondly, it's a simple issue. Fulanis should take their cattle to the north and let's see who will lose more. Youruba man that can't even manage a dozen goats, how will he get meat for his wedding, naming and other ceremonies.
Thirdly, cattle is reared and grazed but pigs are confined. Until pigs are reared like cattle, there's no need for a 'puga' scheme.
Fourthly, ruga created to solve a societal nuisance. Meaning that it was born out of necessity. Farmers and cattle owners are struggling for scare resources - green pasture and land - but this isn't the case with piggery.
In summary, we should all try to be objective and realistic. A good and peaceful Nigeria will benefit us all. Let's not join hands with trouble makers and agents of anarchy.
I rest my case. If I wire you slap eehh |
