Ambode, the best governor Lagos has had. Comparable to Jakande. A people oriented governor unlike Fashola. Just the street light alone amongst others has impacted so much on the night life and security in Lagos. I guess the Lagoon Oba knew better. |

Zhahovic: I wont blame the U.S for trying to police the world. Look at the history of how Adolf Hitler rose to power. The whole world ignored him amd let him do what he wanted until he invaded Poland.. .. Even when that war started, America continued to isolate themselves until the events of Pearl Harbor .. If someone had neutralised him, so many lives wouldve been saved. .. Now about North Korea.. . Its very complicated. Do more research, If i remember well pearl harbor happened due to an American blockade on japan .. Invading NK could escalate very quickly involving especially China......it wont be a straight foward war |

QuotaSystem: To be fair, the police have been auctioning recovered but unclaimed vehicles after advertising them in national dailies for as long as I can remember. The original owner must have missed the advertisements and the vehicle was auctioned to another person for a low price. I can only fault the police for not contacting the original owner once the car was found, since he had already made a report and presumably dropped his contact details.
The owners best option is probably to contact the successful buyer and persuade him to give back the car after paying him what it cost him at the auction; this is because the auction is a legally recognized and regulated process.
My two cents. If the police were sincere they could have contacted the owner through getting is info via his plate number. Commit a crime with your car and see if the law enforcement wont trace you easily. I assumption is that some officer had interest in the vehicle from day one. |

This is not recent. It happened over 4-6 years ago if i remember right. Police check point in front of fcmb bank a Akowonjo branch. The guy "chiyem" was dismissed from the police force. Last time i spoke with him, he said his folks contributed little funds for him to get a Nigerian used car for transport business. Unfortunately the car was wack. He spent all the money on the car but it will work 1 day and he spends the rest of the week at the mechanic. This was like 3-4 years ago i think. Wonder what he is up to now. |

pesinfada: Hahahaha
Bcoz of his money? Abi Yes and no. This was something i read many years back. Some prominent fellow that worked with Prince Aurthur Eze was speaking of the man (I think it was Chief Emeka offor) of how they arrived luton airport in the chiefs jet only to discover his visa has expired. The UK immigration renewed his visa right there in the UK. The chief was there on major equipment procurement runs for his oil fields which was beneficial to Uk companies. The executives of the companies he is doing business with will even start making calls on his behalf. Such high net worth people are wanted by the UK government to even stay. Or what do you think really survives the British economy? This happens every day. I once knew of a chief executive of a prominent Israeli company that flew into Nigeria without a visa. Calls were made to the head of immigration early hours of the day from the state house and the guy was allowed in and further issued a visa. This was like 17 years ago. |

He's not on it!
Well maybe he is a billionaire in Naira...
People need to understand that a lavish lifestyle doesn't necessarily mean a person is a billionaire. A few hundred millions is sufficient enough to give that impression Bros its not all billionaires Forbes covers. Some fall under the radar. |

AnonymustME: The word 'billionaire' is often thrown around carelessly on nairaland Not when it comes to this man. He is a billionaire in US dollars. Kindly Google him. This is the only Nigerian i know of that flew into the UK years back in in private jet with an expired Uk visa. The Uk home office issued him a visa on arrival. |

Drversatile: Can Atiku be trusted ?
I need answers with facts Bros, Atiku from the little i know retired as a customs officer. In the 80ies during the 88 suitcases saga during buharies militry regime, Atiku was the gallant officer that had the courage to intercept the suitcases even though they were covered by the presidency. I see atiku as one that has succeeded in business after leaving customs. His group of companies employ thousands of Nigerians. It is rare for "government pikins" ie people that were government workers from their youths up to retirement to run successful business. The negative image obj portrayed against atiku was because obj decided to run for 2nd term against the agreement that he runs for just 1 term. Obj felt humiliated and never forgave atiku for making beg him the night before the pdp convention. Atiku in my mind is a detribalized Nigerian. His first wife is titi, a yoruba lady. He is also married to an Igbo. Unlike buhari, atiku has improved himself over the years. He runs floor mills, shipping, logistics, schools and several other companies. He is current on world affairs etc. I genuinely feel if we should vote for a northern candidate we should support atiku who has done well in the real world and not some ex government pikin eg buhari. |

He text me hours later that he will send. Two weeks later i reminded him. He said when he sees me he will explain. Dude, explain what? You asked for the money for a week, i assumed you were sure to be able to pay back on the day you promised to as a responsible person. You should have asked for a dash which i would have had the option of giving or refusing, i wrote him. The bottom line is that this coming Tuesday makes it one month. my 5k i have not seen. I don't even write him again because the next thing will be that "is because of common 5k bros is disturbing me" Do not lend anyone money in this buhari times. |
