Hello guys, I'm about starting this express entry journey, but I am a bit confused on the job reference letter since I have my own registered firm that has been running for two years now. How do I get a reference letter for myself. And can NYSC one year experience be added to work experience? 1 Like |

Freshprince777:I will suggest you call the head office of your bank customer care and explain vividly to them with the processed refund document the school gave you, not the local branch because sometimes some of these branch customer care do not really have all the details at the headquarters. do that let us see how it goes. for my own, they are yet to contact me, though it is 4 weeks already and I am still waiting cos they said 4-6 weeks. |

[quote author=Freshprince777 post=84379510] @Frank and other gurus I have contacted my bank and they said they are not in receipt of the funds the school sent since on the 14th of November and the school kept on telling me they have sent the funds . please guys help me cos am confuse now and I don't want to loose my money. Pls what do I do? @Freshprince777 please permit me to ask which school is that? did they issue you an official receipt when you paid the tuition? if yes was it issued by the school's cashier's office how long is their processing time for refund as stated on their refund policy? did they send you a refund form when you applied for it? if yes hope you filled it without errors? is it the school cashier's office that have been communicating with you since the refund process? please pardon my plenty questions I am in a somehow similar situation as you, although my refund processing time is 4-6 weeks as stated by the school on their refund policy, so I am still waiting as tomorrow makes my refund application 4 weeks. provide answer to the questions let us put heads together on the way forward. |

Good day nairaland family, Application refused for the second time submitted: September 18 (with upfront medical) BVL: October 16 Refusal: October 16 Reasons for refusal Family ties in Canada and country of residence Limited personal assets and financial status I got admitted to MEng civil engineering for winter 2020 at university of Windsor, had my BEng in civil engineering in 2015 three years experience plus a registered business of six months old, I paid tuition deposit of 4000CAD sponsor had 37kCAD plus extra in account to care for tuition(total tuition is 30kCAD) I had 10kCAD plus 1.1m in personal account for living expenses and flight itinerary all well explained in SOP/LOE but still got refused, note: first refusal was on insufficient funds to pay tuition, maintain myself and transport fare, second refusal now family ties and limited assets home ties:my functioning business, land, parents/siblings and future employment prospects Family and siblings all employed in Nigeria I wish all TRV hopefuls speedy approval and thanks to all those here using their time, knowledge and experience to assist others. As for me I am out of this Canada game, let my use my hard earned cash to boost my company here and will thus visit other countries on my vacations instead of dashing those wicked VO's 150CAD per application. 2 Likes |

george009:What is the content of the correspondence letter dated 16th October? is it medical request or biometric validity? if it is medical request then congratulations in advance but if it is biometric validity, then it is refusal but if you did upfront medical it is 50/50 approval or refusal |

makano:You made a good point, because it is obvious applications from Nigerians are not treated fairly, because you can't tell me majority of nationals from other countries are more qualified than Nigerians with all the effort we put into this visa thing, anyway it is my prayer point: nothing is permanent, it is getting to the point that our applications will be taken from them to good and fair VO's "oh baba God just like you delivered the Israelites from the hand of wicked Pharaoh and his armies, may Nigerian study permit applications to Canada be taken from Nairobi to those that will treat us well" 3 Likes |

dekere:the later part of your comment really got me laughing but on a serious note IRCC should just make their conditions of giving study permit clear to Nigeria applicants, perhaps making it compulsory for Nigerian applicants to pay first year tuition for those without funding. making it compulsory to deposit first year living expenses with a Canadian bank(like German block account or something). that way those qualified will know what they are bringing before application. 2 Likes |

foliat:To add to what Mr. Frank explained I think IRCC want to see that the total tuition for your 18 months program is available, so show the total tuition and fill the amount in tuition column and it should reflect in your sponsor's account, forget what they stated in their website saying first year tuition bla bla bla, at this period I don't think that works for applicants from Nigeria because I was refused on insufficient funds to pay tuition even though I declared more than the first year. 1 Like |

ayomide8990:it depends on the total tuition of the program you intend to pursue in Canada, check your propose school website or rather send them a mail to get the breakdown, plus living expenses of 10000CAD per year then you convert to naira to see the equivalent Majority of universities/colleges in Canada do not require IELTS/TOEFL for candidates with Nigerian degrees, although there are very few that makes it mandatory if your first language is not English. |

iVentHub:That was fast, 3rd Sept someone paid tuition they said travel history and family ties, you did not pay tuition they will say insufficient funds, financial status and employment situation, it is really a bad timing for study visa application for Nigerians but we do not have to give up! order your notes so as to touch every aspect and reapply. |
