fergie001:Atleast we all agree that Paul was right to call him a failed actor! Kenneth called him a weak leader! What you should be asking is where did Obi call Kenneth a betrayer! |
![]() When Reno has exhausted his relevance, apc minions will abandon him |
fergie001:Good! If that's so,you should also not complain if Obi's close supporters decide to respond in kind by attacking below the belt! Nobody has a monopoly of insults! Besides,Kenneth cannot attack Obi recklessness while everyone wants to determine the intensity of the insults or attacks Kenneth will receive! At the risk of sounding like a broken record,Kenneth should stop his attack on Obi or go and pick a form and contest as president in 2027 if he thinks or believe Obi is 'weak' or 'unfit' to be president! I can understand an attack from a Reno ,Bwala or apc minions but certainly not from a man like Kenneth that was ushered into the political limelight as a result of the benevolence of the same man he is endlessly attacking which for me is most unfortunate! |
tenpipsperday:They will likely say nothing because they all want to get reelected in 2027 through Tinubu's INEC! How can lawmakers be watching their people being slaughtered like chickens and say nothing? If only the people will be united and vote in a competent candidate from another party into power! Unfortunately, hunger had now been weaponised! |
Stolen:It's very unfortunate and sad! I have always advocated that if the federal government cannot restructure the country, they should allow states to peacefully leave and form their own country since they country they currently exist in cannot even take care of the most basic necessities which is security! |
fergie001:Nobody said so but Obi isn't the president of Nigeria! Kenneth should focus on the president or better still he should pick a form and aspire to be president! Interestingly, same Kenneth won't even win his own LGA let alone his ward! Enough of his irritating regurgitations! |
Do we still have a president in Nigeria? Yet some supposed folks from Benue state were carrying placards of Tinubu claiming he has done well ![]() |
Seems Obi has finally seen that the coalition is no longer going to serve his interest hence,he has decided to leave! That's the reason why Kenneth is wailing! |
When Obi joined the party in 2022, Labour Party was united. The house was in order. But since his arrival, crisis has rocked the party from top to bottom. The centre could no longer hold. The party was united yet before Obi came there were three factions! Each claiming to be the national chairman including that native doctor! Before Obi came Abure had imposed himself as national chairman from his initial position as secretary! Joseph be honest with yourself, could you have made up to 10k votes as flagbearer in 2023? If not for Obi,who would have known LP? After balablu has renewed their bank account, they are now talking crap😄😄 LP united indeed! |
fergie001:Kenneth has overstretched his boundaries and must be called out! He keeps attacking Obi recklessly as if Obi is the president of Nigeria! If Kenneth thinks he can do better as a president,he should aspire to be president and contest in the next election! I hate double agents! |
But agbadorians claimed Obi is unpopular! Even their latest recruit showumi claimed Obi disappointed him....Bwala and Reno cannot go 24 hours without mentioning Obi😄😄 Any time insecurity takes place apc minions start asking Obi if he will not secure the country and you start wondering whether Tinubu is still the president of Nigeria 😄😄 Obi is even popular than the current president! Other presidential candidates like Sowore will speak and nobody cares but when Obi coughs, the APC trenches go into overdrive! Omor when you are big,you are big joor! |
Guestmale:Don't prevaricate! We are talking about democracy and the president Cherrypicking some democratic requirement while permitting others! But since you are asking, let's do it this way using what I have listed! Has the president as a democrat obeyed the rule of law? The answer is no! Has the president ensured that there are effective reforms to empower the electoral system to guarantee free, fair and credible election as a democrat? The answer is no! Has the president ensured that our institutions are independent or subservient to his will and order? If we go through all of them, you will realize that the president is not a democrat! Like I said before, the same Tinubu before being president had mocked former presidents Obasanjo and Jonathan for the very issues he is doing! |
Guestmale:They are not just functions of a constitution but basic requirements in a democratic system! Who appointed the ministers? Are the ministers not suppose to be subservient to the rule of law? If a minister appointed by a president fails to perform and Tinubu claims to be unaware, then he has failed to respect the rule of law and cannot be seen as a democrat because the ministers are an extension of the president! Guestmale:Two wrongs can never make a right! Tinubu also removed a sitting governor against the constitution implying that he has failed in the most basic tents of democracy! Like I opined before now,if he claims to be a democrat,he must abide 'fully' by what is required in a democratic settings! |
Guestmale:Below are the key requirements, grounded in widely accepted principles of democratic governance: Rule of Law: A legal framework that ensures equality before the law, protects individual rights, and prevents arbitrary use of power. This includes an independent judiciary to enforce laws fairly and consistently. Free and Fair Elections: Regular elections where all eligible citizens can vote without coercion or manipulation. This requires:Transparent electoral processes.Independent electoral bodies.Universal suffrage (voting rights for all adult citizens, barring reasonable restrictions like age or mental capacity).Multiple political parties or candidates competing freely. Protection of Fundamental Rights: Guarantees for freedom of speech, press, assembly, religion, and association. These rights enable citizens to express opinions, criticize the government, and participate in political processes without fear. Separation of Powers: A clear division of authority among the executive, legislative, and judicial branches to prevent concentration of power. Checks and balances ensure accountability and limit abuses. Independent Institutions: Strong, impartial institutions such as electoral commissions, anti-corruption bodies, and a free press to hold power accountable and inform the public. Active Civil Society: Engaged citizens, advocacy groups, and non-governmental organizations that foster public participation, monitor government actions, and promote civic education. Political Pluralism: A system that allows diverse political views and parties to compete without suppression. This includes opposition parties having a realistic chance to challenge the ruling party. Access to Information: Citizens must have access to reliable information through independent media and open communication channels to make informed decisions. Civic Education and Participation: A population educated about democratic processes, rights, and responsibilities. High voter turnout and engagement in public discourse strengthen democratic legitimacy. Economic and Social Stability: While not strictly required, a degree of economic stability and social equity supports democracy by reducing unrest and ensuring broad access to opportunities, which fosters trust in the system. Accountability and Transparency: Mechanisms for holding elected officials accountable, such as audits, public disclosures, and anti-corruption measures. Governments must operate transparently to maintain public trust. Inclusive Representation: Ensuring marginalized groups (e.g., ethnic minorities, women, or economically disadvantaged) have a voice in governance through proportional representation or other inclusive mechanisms. Security and Stability: A stable environment where democratic processes can occur without violence, intimidation, or external interference. This includes a neutral military or police force that upholds democratic principles. If Tinubu claims to be a democrat,he must fully implement all the key requirements of democracy! As a president,You don't pick and choose what you must permit and reject in the democratic requirements! It must fully be implemented! Interestingly, the same president had attacked, condemned and mocked former presidents Obasanjo and GEJ for the same thing he is currently guilty of doing now! |
Thunderfayamods:You are obviously the one that lacks foresight and understanding on the question I asked.... Below are the key requirements, grounded in widely accepted principles of democratic governance: Rule of Law: A legal framework that ensures equality before the law, protects individual rights, and prevents arbitrary use of power. This includes an independent judiciary to enforce laws fairly and consistently. Free and Fair Elections: Regular elections where all eligible citizens can vote without coercion or manipulation. This includes a neutral military or police force that upholds democratic principles. The government must not be seen to cherrypick on what they claim to be democratic requirements! It must fully be implemented! Next time, ask questions before jumping into discussions you don't comprehend! |
Guestmale:There is Nothing like parts! Democracy cannot be done in parts while ignoring other fundamental requirements! If you must practice democracy,it must not be in parts but fully implemented! |
They claim he is inconsequential... They opine that he has lost the very steam that gave him popularity in 2023 election.... Yet they cannot stop talking about Obi Every post by Obi on X and NL gets the attention of all and sundry! He is so popular and magnetic that Tinubu wasn't satisfied with the childish kicks from his trenches,he had to recruit Bwala and Reno to add more power....still not enough firepower, they are about to recruit a former loyalist to atiku ![]() Yet they claim Obi is inconsequential and unpopular? Comon ![]() |
Guestmale:In your opinion, what is democracy and what are the basic necessities for democracy to strive in a country? |
I thought apc sycophants claimed he cannot set foot in UK or he will be arrested! Back to the issue,I have always opined that doing business in an extremely difficult terrain like Nigeria can be very depressing and frustrating! Nothing seems to be adequately functional in Nigeria for businesses except constant inflation of taxes by the government and yet they expect companies to reduce their price! Companies who can't meet up with the minimal expectations have either closed down or relocated to countries with affordable tax structure! |
Very soon, one of them will connect with her ex bf and that will get her pregnant while the other one will be on TikTok reading the book of lamentations! U cannot cheat nature! |
shonepa:Leave that to him! Let's leave political issues for politicians! What should be paramount and a source of worry to citizens should be about how to reform INEC! If INEC reforms esp improving on their independence do not happen immediately,we will still be struck with the same issue we faced in 2023! |
Same president that hasn't visited a single person at Benue state due to insecurity! Well it's obviously a paid rally made up of people from other neighbouring states...nothing more! |
Double0h7:Spot on! This comment deserves a trillion likes! |
shonepa:That was in response to Abure not you! If Obi leaves,LP goes back to default state Obi's fame to LP is a reminder to Abure that LP needs Obi more than Obi needs LP! Kenneth Okonkwo just like every nigerian is entitled to his opinion about the fitness of Obi which could be subjective but not factual! So is that your reason for also concluding that Obi is unfit due to a personal opinion of Kenneth? You still haven't listed your parameters for a personality to be fit to be a president! shonepa:Atleast you agree there is no constitution hindering anyone from moving to a party of their choice! We all know the reason why major players are moving to APC and it has absolutely nothing to do with ideological similarities but the fear of being rigged out! Very good question! Most if not all political parties in Nigeria lack proper ideologies and are mostly used as vehicles or platforms to negotiate for monetary gains by small minded party members esp in LP! If some of those at LP formenting unnecessary crisis had a forward thinking mindset, the plan by Obi and Otti to have an all inclusive national convention which will usher in competent hands from ward to national level to pilot the affairs of the party, would have been overwhelmingly welcome! However, these small minded jokers led by an obviously financially motivated Abure and by extension a supposed umpire INEC have ensured the crisis will still linger ad infinitum! At this stage, there is nothing more Obi would have done as the party structure isn't what you take by force but through a law abiding process which is one of the reasons why you are questioning his leadership fitness! However,I would prefer a law abiding leader like Obi to a law breaking tyrant like Wike! We must advocate that our leaders remain law abiding even when the wheels of justice seems to be grinding slowly! shonepa:Allegations that haven't been substantiated! He had his reasons for leaving Apga probably due to the fact that the party had no national appeal and were satisfied with playing local politics! Today,it's obvious Obi has been vindicated as APGA is only comfortable playing local politics in Anambra state! shonepa:Yes your likes! Your stale narratives! Nothing personal! shonepa:In that same interview,Obi challenged anyone to prove he was owing and Rufai also confirmed that till date, nobody has brought forward any documentation to prove Obi was owing! We should learn to separate allegations or low-key propaganda from facts! shonepa:You are entitled to your opinions and by extension your choice! Interestingly,Most corp members who also served there during his time as governor had good things to say about Obi esp in the area of security, education and health! |
shonepa:All I keep reading from ignorant folks like you is the way and manner you keep approbating and reprobating at the same time! Nothing new....same old stale and regurgitating lines as if you recited them before pouring them on nairaland in form of copy and paste! Firstly,it's president not 'present'! You said Obi bringing fame to LP is irrelevant....but it is very much relevant and a timely reminder to the likes of Abure and his gang of thieves that nobody would have known of LP without Obi and that's the undeniable truth! Secondly, there is no constitution that bars Obi from moving from one party to another in search of a vehicle to be elected! Changing parties doesn't dim the competence and character of a qualified leader! If Obi had an option of being an independent candidate,he would have taken that route instead of looking for parties that are nothing but bargaining platforms with little or no principle! Saying you don't trust him is purely your opinion which I find inconsequential! Your third point is laughable and a pathetic case of forgetfulness! Obi was governor of Anambra state under a party that wasn't even as strong as PDP and we all know how he singlehandedly handled a house of assembly made up of a 100% PDP members! Lastly, you claim Obi isn't fit to be president without a single proof! The problem with you and your likes is that your definition and by extension, reasoning of governance is badly skewed! So I don't blame you! So the question should be.....what are the requirements to be fit to be a president in your opinion? Tinubu isn't finding anything difficult because what he is currently doing now is what he had promised that he will do! He said Buhari did 'well' and he will continue from where Buhari stopped! So why would you expect anything better from such personality? I agree with you that Nigerians are the problem! If nigerian citizens can stand together as one and demand accountability from our leaders, things would have been better! However,we have allowed ethnic bigotry and religious sycophancy to derail us! |
How are they even curvy?🙄🙄 |
If there is consistent electricity, cooking is better! Besides, you don't even know how the meal you eat outside was prepared! |
Abure where is the exposure you wanted to make about Obi or should we wait for another month for it? This is yet another proof that Abure is working very hard for Tinubu! Let's even assume without conceding that Abure was the 'authentic' chairman of labour party,as an opposition party, how many times has he or his spokesperson made authoritative statements against the mismanagement and ineptitude of this current administration's handling of security and economy? The answer is none! The only time they make statements is in response to the man that brought them fame! Who knew LP before the 2023 election? Before the 2023 election, attaining 30k votes would have been an achievement for LP! In all these,I blame the role that INEC as an umpire have played in this unnecessary squabble at LP! Why would it take INEC,a supposed electoral umpire, more than a month to review a simple supreme court document if they are not complicit? This is why the clamour of all Nigerians should be to intensify electoral reforms esp the removal of the authority of the president to select and appoint INEC officials! |
To some people his decision may look hasty but he is the only one who knew what he was going through! He may have been having this doubt about her but he just wanted to be sure and alas she failed the test! If you know that you cannot be loyal and faithful to your partner, just break up and move on! Stop wasting each other's time and blocking better prospects! |
