JeromeBlack: Ah...the cries of the proletariat.
Doesn't change the fact that you will ignore certain evils as long as it benefits you. Again, how did you arrive at such conclusion? |

KoiceReloaded: I'm not saying you should like Bieber. I merely used him as an example. You know what? Forget I said anything about Bieber. Let's concentrate fully on R. Kelly.
You said you're aware of the allegations, and you knew there is truth to them. My puzzlement is thus; what's stopping you from watching Surviving R. Kelly documentary since you're conscious of the fact that he's a bad person? What have you got to lose? I'm afraid that I'll end up not being able to enjoy his music anymore if the thoughts of his depraved acts keeps flooding my mind whenever I hear his music. I'll watch it, though, I'm just not ready yet. Hopefully by next month, I will. |
TV/Movies › Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by Beorn: 7:55pm On Apr 23, 2019 |
KoiceReloaded: Then, watch the damn thing already. Since you know he's a bad guy, what have you got to lose? If you love his musics so much, just pretend it's not him. Just imagine that it's you that is behind those tracks. It's what I do whenever I play Bieber's tracks. I don't like guy cuz he's a punk, but I like his music. Not the same scenario. I liked Bieber at the beginning but disliked him instantly when I found out he's turned into a douchebag_. I could care less what his music means to me. It's easy for me to dislike him but still love his music. Kelly on the other hand, was like a music gospel growing up. For clarity sake, if I was a talented musician, I'll either be a rapper and mould my raps after the style of Pac, or be an RnB artist and sing in similar style as Kelly. That's how much he shaped me musically. Bieber is just a talented spoilt brat to me. I don't give a hoot about him. |

JeromeBlack: That's a slave mentality.
You are the kind of guy that would work for a racist as long as the pay is good How did you arrive at such conclusion? BTW, a lot of Nigerians working for foreign racist company owners fall into such category. You don't know their struggles and how many mouths they have to feed that forced them to put up with the disgusting attitudes of their employers. The blame should be laid squarely at the feet of our dumb leaders who never act despite the repeated cries of the trampled workers. |
TV/Movies › Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by Beorn: 7:21pm On Apr 23, 2019 |
KoiceReloaded: Well. that would put you in the category of Holocaust deniers. Afraid to face the truth because you don't want it to disrupt your personal life. Holocaust deniers deny that it never happened, right? I'm not denying that it didn't happen Kelly's case. |
TV/Movies › Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by Beorn: 7:12pm On Apr 23, 2019 |
KoiceReloaded: You can hate him and still like his music. they are not mutually exclusive. For me, if I hate him, the hatred will spiral into his music, definitely. |
TV/Movies › Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by Beorn: 6:55pm On Apr 23, 2019 |
KoiceReloaded: Bro, try and watch it. Hiding your head under a pillow to keep yourself from seeing the truth won't make the truth go away. It will only make you an accessory after the fact. Google "Holocaust deniers." But I'm not denying he did it or didn't do it. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve the criticism, I'm just trying to hold on to sensational musics he sang. Imagine me hating on If I Could Turn just because of the monster he was. Abeg, let me enjoy the music while I still can. |

JeromeBlack: I cut that niggas music from my life. Bloody molester.
And he was molesting young black girls! Exactly why I don't want to watch the documentary. Immediately I do, I may end up deleting his huge folder of music from my hard drive. I've gotten used to his good music's that I don't want to hate them. |

JeromeBlack: You'd probably like R. Kelly as well. Not even gonna lie, I adore R. Kelly growing up. Right now, I have the Surviving R. Kelly documentary in my laptop but I can't bring myself to watch it before I hate someone I loved so much. I just cant. The documentary is lying fallow in my laptop. Don't blame me, I don't want to taint my musical memory of him. |

JeromeBlack: Jesus! I googled about the guy and found out that he is a real assshole! Damn!!
Beating up asians and hurling racist abuse at them? Golfing with Trump? Mehn, I don't want to hate the guy as I relatively like him, so I'll try not to Google his disgusting side. What I don't know can't kill me, I guess. |

KoiceReloaded: Well, I think he's just the plot conduit to the actual hero, the Harrison Ford's character.
Nux was neither a villain or a protagonist. He's a plot prop. A memorable plot prop, but a plot prop all the same. Ok, fair enough on Nux not being a protagonist, but other examples abound; Loki went from a villain in Thor to a hero in Thor Ragnorak and Avengers Infinity War. Not to mention Apollo fought Rocky thinking he was a chump in the original Rocky and treated him as such. For Apollo to come back from being a champ defeated by an unknown to take Rocky under his wing after Mick dies to get him his pride and title back is the perfect example of antagonist to protagonist. What of Megamind that went from a villain to a hero? An act or acts of kindness can turn an antagonist to a protagonist, a villian to a hero. He's not just a conduit to Harrison Ford who's also a hero, he went from a villian to a hero as well. |

KoiceReloaded: I've watched all the listed, and yes, they're all good films, but that was when I didn't know what I know about him now. I think your pet peeve lies mostly with his racist history. |
TV/Movies › Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by Beorn: 5:49pm On Apr 23, 2019 |
KoiceReloaded: He was given a redeeming arch, but not nearly enough to offset the bad things he had done in the past. He's an anti-hero at best.
In regards to Old Boy, I deliberately left it vague because I assumed everyone has seen it. Yeah, he's neither the hero nor the villain. You can't blame him for his period of ignorance. He redeemed himself in my eyes. A singular act of kindness/good can wipe the slate clean for a villain and turn him to hero. Remember Nux in Mad Max: Road Fury. He redeemed himself despite belonging to Joe's evil gang. |

Koice, Mark Wahlberg has got very good movies to his CV.
Along with those I mentioned, check our these dope flicks of his
Fighter. This movie is one of my Favourite movies and starred your man as well, Christian Bale. How come you haven't seen this movie?
The Lone Survivor.
Patriots Day. A biographical movie like Deep Water Horizon but about a terrorist.
The Italian Job
The Planet of Apes. |

KoiceReloaded: I've seen DeepWater Horizon. Tbh, it's a decent disaster film, also based on actual historical event: the infamous BP oil spill. The other two... nope.
Okay, I may have seen Two Guns once... I saw it because of Denzel Washington... didn't like it though. Ted part 1 is also very interesting. Mark is not that bad, he's got some pretty decent movie collections in his CV. Too bad, his worst movies dwarfs the few good ones. |

KoiceReloaded: Man... I just can't stand the fella. Something about his face, and his voice... then, there's the white elephant in the room; his racist history. Besides, I've seen the television adaptation, so I've already known everything there's to know about the film. You really despise the fella. |
TV/Movies › Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by Beorn: 12:58pm On Apr 23, 2019 |
KoiceReloaded: I wouldn't know since I haven't seen it. Considering I despise the guy now, I don't think I ever will. You mean it? I thought you'd have seen it judging by the fact that it's an old movie and your movie repertoire is quite huge. Since you use unlimited MB, just give it a trial, the movie is quite nice. Even with your strict rating, you'd give it a 6/10. |

KoiceReloaded: See, that's my gripe with Liam Neeson. His penchant to starring in movies that have similar plots have inadvertently relegated him to the unenviable typecast status. I can't tell some of his movies apart, honestly. True. That's why I don't regard the Commuter because I feel it's a rip off of Nonstop. Run All Night is the rip off of Taken 1. He acts in movies with similar plots, direction and premise all the time. |

raumdeuter: The ball hit Llorentes hand, hit his hips before going in. So Llorente was the first to handle the ball Even if it did, his arms was on his body and not stretched out. Give it a rest and look forward to next season. It's painful, but it's the right decision. |

mekaprime: MY TOP 7 LIAM NEESON MOVIES Liam Neeson is a very amazing actor, with a unique vocal cord & am just amazed as to how he delivers his lines to perfection. He has delivered a lot of mesmerizing performances in his career and I’ll try to list 7 of his movies, i consider as my all time favorites. In no particular order i have:
Schindler's List (1993) Genre:Biography, Drama, History
Taken Trilogy Genre: Action, Thriller
Non-Stop (2014) Genre:Action, Mystery, Thriller
Run All Night (2015) Genre:Action, Drama, Thriller
Unknown (2011) Genre:Action, Mystery, Thriller
The Grey (2011) Genre: Action, Adventure, Drama
The A Team (2010) Genre: Crime, Thriller
My favourite movie line comes from the taken TRILOGY and I quote: I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you upvote my answer now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you. Taken part 1 was an action packed interesting movie. The producers then totally lost it in subsequent parts. They couldn't handle the success of the part 1. Ruined the trilogy for me. |

Ishilove: Excuse you?? Self-entitled, you say? We have to endure pages and pages of boring drivel and you're here telling me about "self entitlement all the time"?? When arguments, some even abour series take up most of the space here, then purpose of the thread is defeated.
You've got jokes. When for example you've discussed time-travel movies in the past over many pages, or engaged in your banter with Jerome multiple times in the last, did you think the purpose of the thread wasn't defeated at that point? Side talks are part and parcel of every thread, movies are still regularly listed and rated despite the debates. |

JeromeBlack: After Beorn has calmly corrected you, you still come back with this trash? I know that I can be very harsh/abusive sometimes and I felt Beorn's calm manner would get through to you. Sadly, you are block head. If you had a superpower, it would be the sheepish stubborness of a goat. Goatman.
Was any other race enslaved for 700 years? hmmm? This is too savagery for my health. I'm out.
