I read just now how a Saskatchewan hospital in Canada (SHA) forced a Nigerian Dr. (Akinbiyi) to carry out a delivery surgery on his own daughter, while other Doctors were present at the hospital. This he claimed was against medical ethics in Nigeria and even against his personal beliefs.

The dollar will still experience a lot more depreciation before it will stabilize except this man - Trump halts some of this unpopular actions.

It is not the naira that is rising, but dollar losing some strength as a result of Trump's drastic policies.

This is the problem with the Nigerian government. A NIGERIAN airline had a problem and what you do is immediately suspend operations, while United Airlines had a problem last week, and because it's American, they left it to continue operating. Is that the way to do things? Why stop all their planes from operating for 3 months because of a single non-fatal accident? Wetin concern tire blowing with 3 months suspension for an airline with 10 Planes ?

Will they do the same thing if the airline was owned by their tribesman? Has air peace been suspended during any of their various mishaps?

Even in the USA, Delta and United had issues earlier this month, yet the government did not disrupt business by banning them. They will end up destroying the Nigerian airline industry like they have destroyed everything else.

What I feel as a result of this incident is that, even though, 3 months suspension appears harsh and I feel it shouldn't have been more than 1 month for them to conclude their investigation and final determination. However, I feel suspension of flight activities temporarily is okay. We thank God it was not fatal if not, they would have thrown us into mourning by now. Yeah, I completely agree that it is good to spell out relationships from the beginning. So that you both know what you are getting into right from the start. This was how myself and my wife met. We both wanted to get married at the time, I have had my own disappointments and she's had hers. A few moments after we met we both made our intentions and expectations known to each other and we started building it from then, and today we are 9years in marriage with children. We have our ups and downs but we keeping our shits together.

The problem here is the employees and job seekers… stop showing desperation while on interview. Give them conditions as per why you will work for them. Give them reasons and make them understand that you might currently not have a job but you are not going to be overworked and paid peanuts.

Once Nigerians seeking for employment stop appearing desperate and know their worths , no private sector owner will treat you like shits, and also give them clauses that must be respected, if they go against it , it attracts additional charges per hour calculated by the number of days the contract got breached and sign it before accepting the job offer.


Do this and watch how careful your employers treat you. This is something every employee and job seekers must do to negotiate at least the price of one student’s school fees as salary. You can’t be accepting 100k naira as salary whereas students in that school pays above 500k as school fees..

If you must accept 100k a month, just tell them you will be teaching one class only and it will be once a week, maximum of 3hours.

Once you give your employer your power through desperation, even his dog becomes more valuable than you.

I built my self to where I am today, I don’t work for anyone, I told myself after seeing how employers treat their staffs that I won’t work for anyone while I was in Nigeria.

I remember when I left school and I couldn't secure a good job for 2years and I couldn't stay at home either. I only had a retired mum (retired over 20years ago and no dad (dad passed away over 24years ago). I don't think such a person in that situation will comfortably sit to start makiñg demands from recruiters. Anything will just do at first. Na later your eyes go dey clear. I got my first job in Plateau state all the way from Lagos but I had to move there and that's how life began...
