It is utterly pathetic that as an active president, GEJ was unable to pilot the PDP. He never lead by example, allowed for recklessness, impunity and sheer disregard for constituted institutions of government. How on earth does the president seek to achieve this feat when out of office? These are my views and mine only, the sitting president does not command the charisma to lead and lacks the primary ingredients of governance.

It is shocking how a sitting president president would prefer to use militants to man the water ways instead of our Navy, or rather still inland, instead of employ Civil Defense to safeguard pipelines, he uses OPC (another armed militia). Now, why did you allow El-Mustapha out of jail? why did you pardon DSP? Why did you refuse to prosecute subsidy thieves? A lot of questions that remains unanswered and did sway public support away from the sitting president.

When it comes to restructuring the PDP, GEJ is morally bankrupt and does not command the respect to get the job done. What the PDP actually needs to do at this particular junction is to knock out all the fraud figures in the party i.e. Tony Anineh (Mr. Fix iT Scam), Bode George (NPA Thief), Buruji Kashamu (drug baron), etc,

The party can then infuse credible faces, merge with one or two other party, change the brand name PDP and then proceed from there. Other things needs to be done to restructure the party. Howbeit, I'm damn happy that the PDP is in comatose and should fizzle out.

Why not in Lagos, Abuja, Calabar, PH, et al. Why must we always make the West relevant even when it is not necessary. OBJ would have as well carried out the function in a Nigerian city, the visitors traffic would have seen at least guests book hotels, take flights, patronize cab services, etc, no matter how small we must encourage our local economy in words and in deeds.

They should support him in prayer and hopefully he'll get it right. Family is one thing we all need, it's one thing we can always fall back to in times of despair. So, I wish the Adebayor's luck and hope they can all find happiness in each other going forward. God bless the black race and the rest of humanity as well. Peace!
PoliticsRe: Photos Of The Surveillance Aircraft Used During Sambisa Invasion by besttrader: 11:23pm On May 01, 2015
How much did we budget for defense over the period..... Unit cost for the ATR 42-500 $12.1 Million. Just about this period last year GEJ went borrowing $1billion to fight Boko Haram. $1,000,000,000/$12,100,000 = 82.6446. It therefore means that we had the capacity to purchase over 80 of such aircraft.

However, if was reportedly acquired at a cost of US$83m by the Nigerian government. That's how the defense budget is being shared and our security forces are being starved. GEJ is a failure and he nurtures corruptions via his actions and inactions.

Hope you can now see some sense in all of these!

PoliticsRe: PWC Report Latest:CBN And NPDC Refused To Open Their Financial Statement To PWC by besttrader:
PWC is also on the same pane, they didn't get much help from the required agencies. They were holding back numbers/record, but you can evidently see the disparity in figures based on that. " We requested for meetings and information from the Central Bank of Nigeria (“CBN”) but were not granted access to nor given the requested information by the CBN"page 196

" We requested for meetings and information from the Nigeria Petroleum Development Company (“NPDC”) but were not granted access to nor given the requested information by the NPDC"page 196

"The procedures we performed did not constitute an examination or a review in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards or attestation standards. Accordingly, we provide no opinion, attestation or other form of assurance with respect to our work or the information upon which our work was based".

The question you should be asking is that why are these agencies holding back numbers? Shouldn't they be cooperating with PWC so as to come clean? Sanusi wanted to see the books of all banks in Nigeria, this he said would give him a clue as to where the said $20 billion was, based on the numbers at his disposal. Of course, you are aware that monies can be traced in terms of huge outflows just by looking at banks FX outflows i.e. bank records, you can also verify outflows by confirming with the receiving bank. For instance, if I wire $1,200 to HSBC and later the Nigerian bank doctors it to $200, the authorities can query such using the telex number (since every fx transfer has a unique transaction code) with HSBC to get the exact amount. Except for funds that were carted out in raw cash just like the South African arms purchase brawl (such are untraceable). He Sanusi was fired before he could even get down to the job.

Common sense suggest that Sanusi should have be aided to get the pieces together quickly and only if after then nothing was seen, then would he have been fired for raising a false alarm.

taharqa:
O Plzzz, don't give me that shiit.

This whole thing was based on those Sanusi allegations. If Sanusi was relying on 'lean data' like you just claimed, how and why did he make his bold and clear allegations in the 1st place??

Sanusi major thrust was thru monies were not remitted to the Federation Account, not so?? This report clearly refutes that. Relying on subsidies payments like many of your guys are doing here, an area that was always prone to loopholes and shady deals it is true, though raises cause for concern, isn't any enough justification for Sanusi claims.

By d way, I hope Buhari also probes the FRC report that indicted Sanusi's CBN just as he probes this. In fact, a forensic report, in stead of a mere Audit report, should be done on both cases.
PoliticsRe: PWC Report Latest:CBN And NPDC Refused To Open Their Financial Statement To PWC by besttrader: 12:57am On Apr 28, 2015
Sanusi was working with lean data due to the fact that NNPC and its subsidiaries were unwilling to put the numbers on the table for him to see. Howbeit, PWC didn't get as much cooperation from NNPC et al, wait until a comprehensive audit is carried out by the incoming administration. I'm appalled by your logical conclusions, your arguments energizes corruption.

taharqa:
Read the report yourself. Don't make the mistake of relying on the biased musings/readings of APC clowns here

This report, as an Audit Work, put paid to the SUPER STORY told by Sanusi about a $49.5bn, abi na $20bn, fraud by NNPC. It was a Bladdi LIE, and this Audit report shows that. That was at all what the Audit was all about.

Would there have infractions in NNPC and the Oil industry?? ABSOLUTE. Lots of loopholes? YES. And this was what Sanusi was relying upon when he raised his sillly alarm
PoliticsRe: PWC Report Latest:CBN And NPDC Refused To Open Their Financial Statement To PWC by besttrader: 12:38am On Apr 28, 2015
As at the time of concluding this report, international crude oil prices average about $46.07 per barrel2, which is about sixty two percent (62%) reduction when compared to the crude oil prices for the review period. If the NNPC overhead costs and subsidies are maintained (assuming crude oil production volumes are maintained), the corporation may have to exhaust all the proceeds of domestic crude oil sales, and may still require third party liabilities to meet costs of operations and subsidies, and may not be able to make any remittances to FAAC.

We therefore recommend that the NNPCmodel of operationmust be urgently reviewed and restructured, as the current model which has been in operation since the creation of the Corporation cannot be sustained
Pg. 12

GEJ did not read this report, it indicts the corporation 100% under his watch for the said period.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Please Help Soldiers Pls .we Are Suffering by besttrader: 3:56pm On Apr 24, 2015
No institution in Nigeria needs an upward revision of salaries, instead a downward revision is needed for Federal/State/LG law makers and other affiliate bodies that are paid extremely high wages.

In view of the Army and its affiliates, what they need is a well structured system, where the Army reinvents the old days in a better way i.e. the provision of Army Children School (comfortable learning environment as well as tutors in these schools), hence providing free educational services for all Army personnel wards within the barracks, reequipped and upgraded MRS (free medical for personnel and family members), etc. Once this is done, with the same salary structure, they'll be able to plan better as it means more money in their pockets, since they'll be excluded in medical/tuition spending.

GMB should desist from any wage increase, it would only give way to inflation. Rather reduce wage where needed and improve our institutions to offer the services they are designed to provide. Extrapolate the idea to the Navy, Police, Immigration, et al.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Who Knows The Correct Salary Structure For All Nigeria Uniform Jobs/forces? by besttrader: 1:57pm On Apr 24, 2015
That's the problem, most folks see the military or its allied as civil service jobs where salaries can be gotten. Once we encounter a national security threat, they just take off their uniforms and leave the force. The force is for highly patriotic people, as a matter of fact, their level of patriotism has been taken to another level where they can now die for what they believe in. We need to reverse this trend, it is bad for our country. You should only be in the military and its allied if you have the required drive/patriotism.

You wanna join the force and your first take is on the salary structure - very wrong take my friend.
PoliticsRe: How Broke Is Cross River State Government? (photo) by besttrader: 12:09pm On Apr 24, 2015
I got my admission at the University of Calabar just about when democracy was restarted i.e. when Donald Duke came into power and I saw first hand how Calabar was transformed pre-1999 into the post-1999 era. One of the legacies of the Donald Duke's administration was the Cross River State Water Board.

When I was in the University I stayed at Maine Avenue, getting water was tough through my period in the University, since I lived off campus. It wasn't easier either for folks who stayed on campus. However, when Duke initiated the CRS Water Board and made Gershom Bassey the point man there, things worked very well (the Head was focused and everybody was whipped into line).

After School I moved to Asari Isor, and I can say that the urban water supply was so good that you don't need any water storage facility at home. Water was constant, the only disruptions in supply was when they were washing tanks (so I heard) and this is somewhat once in 6-months kind of thing.

Gershom Bassey the point man for the State's water board became reckless during the Imoke's regime. He cornered diesel meant for running the water board to his private residence which was situated at Asari Isor (actually his residence is a stone throw away from mine). So you see, this impunity continued all through the Imoke's 8-years tenure and anybody living in Calabar would tell you that Calabar has retrogressed back into the era where its populace now carry water containers in their cars in a bid to get water (something I thought would never happen in Calabar again).

As a matter of fact, the Liyel Imoke's regime has no direction and is useless. After 8-years of Imoke, I can tell you that his $16 billion power sector co-scam with OBJ wasn't enough for him. He has looted the State even further via his actions and inaction. I know too well, I can tell you his leadership style is just like that of GEJ, where impunity is perpetrated by members of council and no one is there to caution them. It's sort of a free for all (the Head is without vision and everyone becomes reckless).

At the moment, the failed Gershom Bassey has won himself a seat to represent the people under the flagship of the PDP. I just wonder, how a man would run the State Water Board from inception and bring it to ruin. How did he get rewarded by the PDP? This is why the PDP remains one of the most hated party in the world. Failure is graciously rewarded at PDP.

I wish I can explain some more the dynamics and ruin of the PDP in Cross River State. It is simply appalling!!

Only if the Police Chief constituted a risk to national security should he be sacked, which I doubt. I think his refusal to play along with the rigging script could have prompted such actions. Howbeit, considering the numerous failures of this administration, what it needs should have been a saving face i.e. last minute commissioning of laudable projects, etc. Well! Well! There are obviously no projects to commission.

Every government will be judged by its score card, nothing more, nothing less. The Nigeria I pray for is one in which any one that has stolen our collective wealth is prosecuted and all such wealth retrieved, any thing short of that is a joke for me. GMB must go after all the thieves, those in APC, PDP, organized private sector, civil service, et al.
PoliticsRe: Oshiomhole, PDP Trade Words Over Alleged APC 140,000 Voided Votes ( Vanguard ) by besttrader:
Although, I supported the APC (not necessarily the APC, but GMB due to his stance on corruption), I think statements like this from the Governor of Edo State is not necessary at this point in time. What is necessary at this point in time is for the APC to get back to the drawing board and start fashioning out blueprints for the power sector, employment, security, health care, infrastructural developments, et al. These plans should come in the form of plan A, plan B, plan C, plan D.... This is because after MAy 29, if Plan A fails, auto switch to Plan B, etc, there's no time for much talk.

Why am I saying this? APC must hit the ground running after May 29, there would be no excuses for failure. Some of the wins of the APC were done to give them the leverage to assume full majority, we don't wanna hear that the PDP majority is stalling things in terms of passage of bills that will allow implementations of law supporting growth. Therefore Mr. Adams, please shut the F***k up and get working!!
PoliticsRe: Nigeria, Russian Firm Stake N16trn To Build Four Nuclear Plants by besttrader: 4:01pm On Apr 14, 2015
N16 trillion at N199.05 for $1 would mean $80billion in excess for just 4,800MW of electricity. Meanwhile look at this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Ethiopian_Renaissance_Dam

The link above is a project by the Ethiopian government to build the largest Hydroelectric Dam in Africa with an installed capacity of 6,000 MW for just $4.8 billion with a project life of 5 years (as we speak the project is already being concluded).

The incoming govt. better sits up, do all its research before handing over date i.e. May 29th, because there's no time for mediocre. If they make any mistake, we'll come heavy on them. What we did to Jonathan is a tip of the iceberg. Don't waste our money on a nuclear station, look at Chernobyl. Nuclear power is not a technology for Earth, maybe something that should be created in a non-habitable planet like say Mars, so when something goes wrong we can run back to Earth.

Japan has shut all its Nuclear station and has switched back to coal for power generation (although Green House emission is a problem here). The Japs are smarter than us, they've abandoned Nuclear, so please who the Bleep want to bring Nuclear Stations in a dysfunctional society like ours?

What beats me is the continuous uselessness in Nigeria. Where are all the ambulances, you see FRCN, et al do the same thing, they come to an accident scene with a pickup van and throw the injured/dead into them, aggravating their pains by so doing. Where is the moral sense in Nigeria? Where do our budgets go to? Nothing ever seems to be done right.

The comment above me calls it a normal thing any well meaning Nigerian should do, but I tell you that Tony Anineh is not a well meaning Nigerian. We know those who truly hold this country at heart and he's not one of them. His actions and inaction during his term as minister during the Obasanjo's term in office proved to us that Anineh is a very corrupt Nigerian.

Are you aware that if Anineh had done the needful that Nigeria would be devoid of bad roads. His tenure in government while he was Minister for Works AKA Mr. fix saw him meshed in a N20 billion contract scam. His tenure at NPA wasn't different either, this guy is one of the thieves that should be prison. A bloody monkey he is that prides in seeing the doom of the black race, how best can I describe an individual that refuses to build basic stuffs like roads in the 21st century and would rather divert such funds meant for such projects.

Howbeit, these were the kind of individuals that surrounded the present administrations for a larger part of its life in office.

There's fire on the mountain as it has been reported that Diezani visited Abdulsalam this morning. There's no room for begging, please return back all that you've stolen back to the Nigerian treasury. The imputy that you did display is one of the reasons we voted GEJ out of power. I thought you were too powerful and can't appear before the Senate. Well, before anyone will incur the wrath of Nigerians, there's no pardon for these people.

It was also reported that the same Diezani visited Atiku yesterday. I can tell you that Atiku is also a thief when he was at BPE. We'll get to him soon as well i.e. Atiku, but for now please Diezani get all our monies back and intact. Also look at her swollen eyes, they are usual, guess she has been crying.

This wouldn't have been possible if the President had not undermined our sovereignty by giving security contracts to OPC and militants. The sad part is that these militants/criminals have made so much free money from these government that can last them 4 years of massive trouble making in the region.

2. Revoke all contracts for the safeguarding our waterways and pipelines by Government Tompolo and OPC. I don't understand why we have a Navy and NCDC.

3. We need just one Private Jet in the Presidential fleet, please sell the others.

4. Instill discipline back into public service.
