They should equally banish that illiterate Ifeanyi Uba |
BY VINCENT UJUMADU The Traditional ruler of Agulu, Igwe Innocent Obodoakor, has said that his community has sanctioned those who impersonated him at Labour Party, LP, political rally to flag-off the campaign of Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah in Onitsha last week. One Chief Julius Iloh, from Obe village in Agulu, along with two other persons, had in Onitsha, mounted the podium where he claimed to be the traditional ruler of Agulu during which he accused Governor Obi of not doing anything in his community in his eight years as governor. But Igwe Obodoakor, who addressed reporters in Awka, said the man who posed as the traditional ruler of Agulu was an ordinary titled man, adding that the man and others who accompanied him to Onitsha have been suspended from attending functions organized in the town, pending the determination of the issue by the Agulu General Assembly. The royal father wondered why people should go to the extent of impersonating a traditional ruler in their quest for easy money and pointed out that royal fathers, by virtue of their position, do not play politics or be involved in political rallies. According to him, contrary to claims by those involved, Governor Obi more than any other governor in Anambra State, had recorded unprecedented achievements that had remained a source of pride to the people of Agulu and Anambra State in general. He said that the governor has upheld the policy of equity and fairness in the distribution of democracy dividends across the state, noting that his community has received its own fair share of democracy dividends. - See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/09/obis-community-sanctions-alleged-impersonator/#sthash.6thr9ajk.dpuf |
asha 80: off topic....@ bestview go vanguardngr.com and post the story about the igwe of agulu banning the fake igwe impostor in his town here so as to expose the already known fraud in the form of ubah. You are right, but don't you think we should do that on another thread so as not to derail this particular thread of the Op. |
invest-now2013:Don't mind that guy. We should not build our own airport because neighboring states has built theirs? Good a thing the site have been acquired around Otuocha areas fenced and compensation fully paid to the host community. Orient Petroleum has taken over the project in conjunction with Anambra state govt. Below is the interview granted by CEO of Orient Petroleum: THERE’S TALK ABOUT AN AIRPORT PROJECT THERE. CAN YOU ELUCIDATE ON THAT? Yes, there will be an airport. I spoke about Orient Petroleum Resources PLC being a holding company. The holding company has four subsidiaries. One subsidiary is the refining of petro-chemical component which is going to operate the refinery; the second is the one that is about producing oil and gas; that is called the exploration and production subsidiary. Then we have a subsidiary which is gas and power which is supplying gas to Nkalagu cement, to breweries at 9th Mile, and possibly to this SABmiller Brewery in Onitsha. The final one is the infrastructure and services which will look after the airport and other infrastructure like housing and so on which will support the operations of the other three subsidiaries. So the vision was that Orient will be a vertically integrated company. It derives its own raw materials, sells its products; provides its services. The airport was supposed to provide an outlet for aviation kerosene which is one of the products of the refinery. So planes will land there and load with aviation kerosene. That’s the aviation fuel (ATK). So there will be a pipeline that takes aviation kero there; the aircraft will load and we can be selling aviation kero to Kano International Airport, to Lagos, even to Ghana and other places right from that point. So the airport itself is to provide an outlet for aviation kero and also it will provide a quick source of spares. Let’s say you need something in the refinery, you fly it in. So we do have licence from the federal government to set up an international cargo airport to fly in materials there. This airport is located in about 1,200 hectares of land in Ifite Umuleri. It’s already surveyed and work will start very soon now that we have income from the oil production. SO HOW SOON DO YOU RECKON THE AIRPORT WILL BE READY? The airport will be constructed in phases just like the refinery. The first phase will be the runway and the cargo shed. Those ones could be done in 18 months and then the next phase will be the second runway so that it will be like Abuja which is getting the second runway. Lagos already has two runways. So we’re looking far ahead. These runways are of international standard; the ICAO standard (International Civil Aviation Authority). They’re long enough to take a Boeing 747 cargo. The biggest jumbo jet can land in the airport; that’s why it’s so long; 1,300 hectares and the runway is about 4 kilometres. It’s longer than Enugu and Asaba airports. It’s again futuristic to make sure that in 20 years to come it will still be serving us. SO IT WILL BE STRICTLY A CARGO AIRPORT AND NOT FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES? Not quite. The licence is for international cargo and domestic passengers. So you can have passengers who are inside Nigeria. It’s not international passenger; it can’t take off from there and fly to London; no, but I can bring in materials from outside the country and fly materials out of the country; that’s cargo, but the airport itself can operate as a domestic airport. It will have a runway and a terminal building. The one in Enugu is international passenger airport but this one is international cargo. http://elombah.com/index.php/articles-mainmenu/12391-orient-petroleum-has-come-to-stay |
dayokanu: Vote for Willy-willy Peter Obis stoogeWe have since chosen Peter Obi's candidate. We cannot allow anything that bear 'ofemmmmanu' anywhere around Anambra. Obiano is the next governor. The voice of the people is the voice of God. |
Why did Obi give Catholic School N900,000 and gave Anglican School N600,000?

From what I can deduce Ngige should forget about the nov election. I saw some guys discussing this deportation saga yesterday at New Market road Onitsha with bitterness coupled with ngige's submission. Besides an average Anambran does not want to hear anything call APC. The worst is that the deportation of igbos issue has seized the airwaves as TV stations in Awka like ABS, Silverbird, NTA, FM have continued to paint Ngige in a very bad light. |
APC and fashole has just made it possible for Ngige to be 2nd runner up instead of 1st runner up in the up coming Anambra election. |
The Zonal Working Committee of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, South-East, Monday, described the action of Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State over the deportation of Ndigbo as unconstitutional, despotic and dictatorial. In a statement by the zonal Publicity Secretary of the party, Ali Odefa, the PDP called on the leadership of All Progressives Congress, APC, to immediately recall, rehabilitate and compensate victims, whose rights were violated by the government of Lagos State. Odefa, who stated that the action of Lagos State government was capable of destabilizing the fragile peace in the country, pointed out that the PDP would continue to uphold the rights and aspirations of Nigerians, irrespective of ethnic, religious, social and economic background. The statement read in part: “The Peoples Democratic Party, in the South East geopolitical zone strongly condemns this unconstitutional, dictatorial, despotic and unjustified criminal deportation of Ndigbo by Lagos State government. “We urge Nigerians and Ndigbo, especially, to be steadfast, calm as this act is just one of the many divisive strategies the APC has outlined in their unbridled quest to take power in Nigeria”. “We also use this medium to call on the leadership of the APC to immediately recall, rehabilitate and compensate these Nigerians whose rights have been violently violated by the government of Lagos State. “The PDP will continue to uphold the rights and aspirations of Nigerians irrespective of ethnic, religious, social and economic background as we work to achieve one strong, progressive and united Nigeria. “This is evident in the unprecedented, unwarranted, and senseless divisive action the APC led government of Lagos State has taken by vigorously pursuing actions that can set the country on fire. “It is baffling that a party that is purportedly run by individuals who call themselves progressives can become so desperate to the extent of fanning the embers of ethnicity just to gain cheap popularity amongst its unsuspecting followers. “The new party whose promoters have been very active in media campaign to gain the support of Nigerians chose to launch out with a most barbaric, anti democratic and despotic criminal discrimination against fellow Nigerians. “The APC in Lagos State used the celebration of its registration to confront the rights of Nigerians to live in Nigeria by forcefully removing bona fide Nigerians of Igbo extraction from Lagos and dumping them in the midnight at the bank of River Niger. This unconscionable able act was termed deportation”! “This act of the APC led government of Lagos state is a frontal attack on the rights of these Nigerians and the Nigerian 1999 constitution which guarantees the right of every Nigerian citizen to live within any part of the country without molestation or discrimination. “It is to be noted that this act of the APC-led government in Lagos violates all the laws of human rights and dignity of man. “The APC is taking Nigeria to the cave age by fanning the ugly embers of ethnicity and nepotism. It is instructive to remind the APC and its promoters that Lagos state natives live in all part of Nigeria and it is unimaginable what would happen if states within Nigeria start deporting people that are not natives of the states. “The role of Ndigbo in the life and economy of Lagos State can never be over emphasised. It is a direct affront on the unity of Nigeria for the APC led government of Lagos state to start treating fellow Nigerians as illegal immigrants, who can be yanked off, dislocated from their families forced into dingy buses at gun point in the middle of the night and shipped to river banks-Nazi style without any provocation.” - See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/08/pdp-blasts-fashola-over-deportation-of-ndigbo/#sthash.Ibe2bevt.dpuf |
Press release- The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Information & Communications, Mr. Aniekan Umanah, has faulted the erroneous impression created by the spokesman of Action Congress of Nigeria, Lagos State Chapter, Mr. Joe Igbokwe in an interview he granted Sunday Punch of 4 August 2013, where he claimed that Akwa Ibom State government had written to Lagos State government demanding them to evacuate their destitute indigenes from Akwa Ibom. Mr Umanah in a release in Uyo, the State capital, explained that the State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare, in the course of carrying out their welfare programme, came across two “vagrant psychotics”, whom they took to hospital for medical treatment. He further stated that the patients, having considerably recovered from their ailment, gave their names as Babatunde Obamaiviya and Tunde Jimmy and claimed to be indigenes of Lagos State, and had no relations in Akwa Ibom State. The Information Commissioner added that based on doctor’s advice, the duo was placed on trial leave and had no family members in the State, it became expedient for the Akwa Ibom Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, to write her Lagos State counterpart on the patients’ challenge. Mr. Umanah disclosed that the Ministry, through letter No. MWASW/AD/239/Vol.111/102, dated 23rd July 2013, said, “This is to inform the Honourable Commissioner that in our bid to rid the State Capital of lunatics, in line with the transformation policy of the present Administration, the under listed persons who are known vagrant psychotics were evacuated, during the clean up exercise to remove lunatics off the streets of Akwa Ibom State.” The letter, Umanah further disclosed, added, “Since then, the patients were hospitalized and duly treated with good responses. Following their processes of recovering of sanity, the doctor has placed them on trial leave. However, in view of the fact that they are indigenes of Lagos State and have no relations in Uyo, we have decided to refer them to you for further medical management/treatment and necessary action, please.” He remarked that Akwa Ibom State government at no time requested the evacuation of non-indigenes, nor did it deport non-indigenes, and wondered why Mr. Igbokwe could engage in such blatant misrepresentation. He assured all that the government of Akwa Ibom State will continue to accommodate and protect all law-abiding residents in the State irrespective of their creed or State of origin. Okorosha is a criminal with very thick skin. Was it not the same way he converts Red Cross funds to his pocket. The guy has been a known fraud all his life. The same 1billion he accused Agbaso of stealing was traced to his commissioner's account which has direct link to him. Imo state is so unlucky to have this criminal as a gov. I pray they get it right in 2015, if this guy does not run the state into the ground by then. |
