I am for January intake, still waiting for CAS. My campus is London Bloomsbury ... University of law is a private university, it is presumed to be a good school judging from the Nigerian students' community in the school. They also offer accommodation based on your budget.

Is university of law a licenced school ? It’s not on the list of licensed school on UKI , I saw Oxford and Cambridge and some others

From my research the courses biz n rest are quite expensive fee and the mail and call I got sounds like a white German man from an agent company working for d school I guess

Is London Bloomsbury still London ?
You know they also have campus in Berlin Germany for some course

My friend at the University of Law ,Manchester Campus wasnt impressed. In her words , "Ulaw is to shait".

The only advantage is the "not too exorbitant tuition fee and bursary".

What you need to show as a competent POF is 10M, so u have to print from the 10M opening balance.
Disregard what happened before u got the money (10M)complete so the ECO wont get confused .

Why do you want to withdraw it? I thought the money is for your upkeep when you get to the UK. Please leave the money there. We have had stories of persons that have to show pof at POE.

Pls don’t do Bedfordshire. It’s the the last on the list of UK school ranking. The rank of any school you decide to go means a lot. The school ranking should be one of the things you check before applying. Also their student review is wack.

Please any student of university of aberdeen. I got admission and they only requested financial guarantee and a letter from my previous school that I was taught in English. They are not requesting of 3000 pounds deposit. It this normal. Can I apply for visa without deposit but bank statements of 252000 pound (16000 +9200) 0nly

It really doesn't matter when you start counting. Just make sure the 28 days statement is still valid (not more than 31 days after the day 28) by the time you apply for your visa.

E.g. You put the money in your account on Oct 1; applied to the school on Oct 8; received your admission on Oct 29; By Oct 29, the statement is already 28 days. It is still valid till Nov 28. Hope this makes it clear.

Nothing to worry about, graduate from any licensed university is eligible for PSW.

VISA ALERT

Application Type: Student Visa PhD

Applied on the 16th of October

Rescheduled Biometric earlier set for 20th October to 21st October (next day)

I did Biometrics on the 21st of October in Abuja (Priority)

Received a Non straight forward mail on the 25th of October

Sent a paid email to UKVI on the 30th of October

Received an email about decision on 2nd November

Collected my visa via courier 5th November

Student visa valid till Jan 1st, 2026

It is instructive to note that I had an immigration problem with regards "overstaying" in the UK ten years ago, which ultimately carries a 10 year ban. I wasn't sure if I was effectively on a ten year ban or not but had to wait for 10 years to apply to enter the UK again. At some point I wasn't sure what to expect of the outcome, thats why this outcome is a super relief for me and a shot at second chance.

I am grateful to everyone here whose inputs I learnt from and believe more testimonies will come out from here.

Off to Glasgow in a couple of weeks.

There are no special rules regarding when to calculate the 28 days.. But presumably u can start counting immediately u start applying for admissions... Because some schools need POF before they can issue u CAS

Is it when we are applying freshly or when we have applied and the school has admission letter den we pay deposit and start counting for proof of funds
