90billion Why are you like this now? You seem intelligent, but bringing up 90billion dollars, mehn I don't know what to say to you! How much has even nigeria a country made since yar'dua left ? That aside, you mean the resources from southeast will be use to ofset the loan. Now I am confused, is there another S/E aside the one in nigeria. I don't get you.
first APC said they recovered $90cash from former minister, you people swallowed it hook-line-and-sinker, no one challenged that assertion. They should come out and tell us that they lied to us. secondly let me educate you, the highest natural gas deposit in Nigeria is in Southeast. make your research. thirdly, even the most poorest state in the country takes part in the repayment of the loan with the interest, the last time I checked, no southeastern state is the poorest state in Nigeria.

I just hope that when an ibo man becomes president and request for loan, and a northern or other region based group writes this kind of letter, you won't come and tell us they are saboteurs, or they hate you. Remember you started this method, and remember how you always start everything in this country....
if igboman as a President formulates a borrowing plan excluding any region of the country whose resources will be used in offsetting the loan and such region wrote the replica of this letter, its a welcomed development. Stop the sentiment and embrace the reality. our future generations are being mortgaged and you want us to keep silent. By the way where is the $90bn recovered from former petroleum minister? Has it been accounted for? Why not use it as it is Our own money?

first of all, its a tribe not race. secondly there is no tribe called Hausa/Fulani. you have Hausa tribe as well as Fulani tribe. hausa/Fulani is a political conglomerate. they are two different tribes with a common political interest. thirdly if they are to split based on tribe, you will be surprised to know that Ijaw which is the fourth largest tribe is bigger than each of them.
note: North has many other tribes, but Hausa Fulani rules them because right from long time ago, they understand the principles of unity in diversity.

I logged into NL this afternoon and saw a front page story of Chief Olisa Metuh growing beard while on hunger strike .

I want to state categorically that its a lie. Im on chief Metuh's facebook friends list and he posted the picture used by Sahara Reporters himself on 1-09-2015 and I commented on it when it was posted.

I cant say anything about the hunger strike because im not there in detention with him . The big question is; If Sahara Reporters can lie about the beards. Is it not possible that they are also lying about the entire story?

The honorable and sane thing to do is to take this post to front page. Just like the falsehood of Sahara Reporters.

You will still blame igbos after selling your father's grave to them just to cruise owambe party. until you stop blaming igbos for your woes, and start using your precious time judiciously, igbos will continue to buy your properties. sunnyb0b0:
Constitutional lawyer and Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Anti- Corruption, Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN) has raised alarm over what he called the insults and death threats he has received from Igbo people for expressing his opinion on the renewed agitation for Biafra republic during President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure.

Speaking with Daily Independent on Saturday, the erudite legal practitioner said rather than threatening him and the peace of the entire country, those who have contrary views to his should engage him in a debate and present their views in a civilised and refined manner.

Sagay, who said he stood by his comments that the the Igbo having lost out at the federal level decided to resurrect Biafra so as to get appointments they don’t deserve under Buhari  also added that he will not take the threats lightly because according to him “they have serious security implications”.

“All I did was expressed my views on a national issue. If they have contrary views, they should come forward with it instead of using abusive words particularly threatening people’s lives. Infact, they are not only threatening me but the entire country that we shall see what happens whenever they start whatever they are planning”.

” It is a very irrational process and environment in which to operate. I thought we were engaging in a debate”.

“Little did I know I was dealing with desperadoes who will not tolerate any other views that are not consistent with theirs in their headlong determination to cause confusion in the country. It is very sad”.

“I won’t take the threats lightly because most of the things said to me has serious security implications and I will do something about it” he said.

Politics / Re: There is some sense in every nonsense afterall !!!. by betty202020(m): 11:24am On Jan 09, 2016
copiescopy:
Indeed there is some level of sense in every nonsense .

I think the Kunle and Alhaji phone conversation is beginning to sound so real on the igbos .The SS are not even spared .

I begin to wonder how the Nigerian State of Lagos can be so callous as throw caution to wind by winding down businesses of individuals running into Billions . The same individual some owners are the major source of the high margins of IGR of the State.

It beats any the imagination for us to believe this set of individual business owners were not allowed the time to move out there goods .Does this mean the good were all toxic materials or expired goods .If at all they were given the notice to move ws there any action taken by the state government to sensitive them about the impending doom tat was to visit them if they failed to leave at the apportioned time given ? We need to look into the books and find out some of our errors .

I think there is time to act and a time to think .Most of this shop owners are still back in the east where they have gone for holidays .Some have gone abroad to get new product . Imagine coming back with your new product and you find out the market place where you are suppose to sell of those product has suddenly disappeared ?

I am quite sure if Dangote and Otedolas had their shops in that Oshodi market none of this brutal act would have happened . The Dangotes and Otedolas would have been given the proper relocation notice on a silver platter . But since the deed is on the myopic igbos and mostly south south traders everything goes. From the main look of things those who took the unpopular leaked conversation of alhaji and kunle should think deeply and see if there is some senses that was been made on that topic becoming real .

Imagine moving the clearing office to Kano from Lagos instead of decentralizing the office along States. Yes this is what I learnt that the Lagos port has now to be relocated far to the North Kano to be precise as a dry port. Maybe I am not getting my facts straight but if that's the case something is really wrong somewhere and need to be tackled . Every state can have its dry port so long there is proper coordination among all state revenue generating board down to the centre . For me its glaring some serious sh** thing is about to happen in this country .

Starting from the SW where the igbos have been suffering different kinds of economic tightening on their business es from Ladipo to Alaba and now Oshodi I hope Yaba and the rest are listening ? Very soon they will also strike the computer village where igbo business me hold sway .The last would be the unleashing on mayhem on innocent igbos businesses in the North which has seen a decline in vilnece activities due to the change of power but we can not be far from the truth that there is a serious air of suspense around that area which is keg of gunpowder waiting to explode on the igbos in the North.

I am not Ben Murray Bruce but I just want to make some common sense.

cc;
seun,lalasticlala
it's just matter of some months, I trust my hardworking igbo brothers who's shops and goods were destroyed. it is not more than #20 Awolowo's policy in exchange of millions of pounds in igbos account. After all every tribes resident in Lagos will suffer the price hike as the result of that demolition. in few ways they will fight igbos, but in many ways we will regain all we lost. Praise GOD.
