This is pathetic. How could a parent behave so irresponsible. If you are 23 and they are pressurizing u this way, i wonder the type of life ur siblings would be living. Even if you marry at ur own expense, the pressure wil never stop. They will milk the poor man dry and it wil def4nately affect ur relationship with ur husband wen u marry. So, man up and face them now. Don't let them push u to the wall. Zero ur mind now and be ready 4 the worst. They can't kill u, dear so take no bul$hi+ from them. I pray God wil see u through this trying period of ur lyf. |
Planning to save 15k each month. Pls dnt ask me how |
This man made valid points, its just for the federal govt to pick the neccesary points and make use of them. The 40% is far too much. Btw,if this man doesnt make it seem high, how do u expect it to generate neccesary interest. |
naijamark: What this f.ool means is that he will start another round of provocation. Are you not tired of this madness?i tire o my broda. |
Afam4eva: With comments on this thread, it goes to show that Nigeria may remain the way it is. Most people that are directly involved in the crisis between Offa and Erin-Ile are illiterates and the people who are supposed to see reason are fueling the hatred on this forum with the exception of jarus. If supposedly educated people can be talking like this, then there's no hope. If my village is always fighting with another village, as an educated person, i won't take sides. i will judge issues as a neutral and profer solutions to the problem.Afam pls don't delve into what you know nothing about. Illiterate 4 what? What happened has happened, the question now is "hope we've learnt from our mistakes and how do we prevent future occurence. Both sides lost something valuable which can never be replaced. I pray the upcoming generation grow up and see the need for a peaceful cohabitation. *peaceout* |
The way these terrorist are hunting down america citizen is becoming something else. Are they nt tired of the bombing? The thing is,whenever any of them(both america and sucide bomber) strike, an innocent citizen will be the victim. |

If the purpose of the drone program in Niger is not abused then it is a gud one from america(orthough they do take things to the extreme). All those niger-ians dat sneak in to perpetrate evil in Nigeria will now find their levels. I must also say, these drones will be use to monitor all oda activities in the west africa subregion |
all4naija: You are deluded as I can deduce from your comment. You are missing the topic though. Stop exonerating other nations because they too have their own failures. Dimwit!she was refering to the funny comments made by those that love nigeria! |
A 15-year-old Icelandic girl has wonthe right to use the name given her by her mother, after a court battle against the authorities. Blaer Bjarkardottir will now be able to use her first name, which means"light breeze", officially. Icelandic authorities had objected, saying it was not a proper feminine name. The country has very strict laws on names which must fit Icelandic grammar and pronunciation rules. "I'm very happy," Blaer said after the ruling. "I'm glad this is over. NowI expect I'll have to get new identity papers. Finally, I'll have the name Blaer in my passport." Reykjavik District Court's decision overturns an earlier rejection of the name by Icelandic authorities. Until now, Blaer Bjarkardottir had been identified simply as "Girl" in communications with officials. Like Germany and Denmark, Iceland has rigidlimitations about how a baby can be named. The names like Carolina and Christa, for example, are not allowed because the letter "c" is not part of Iceland's alphabet. Names cannot be unisex either. Blaer's mother, Bjork Eidsdottir, has said that she had no idea that Blaer was not on the list of accepted female names when she gave it to her daughter. The panel rejected the name because they said itwas too masculine for a girl. There are some 1,853 approved female names on the Icelandic Naming Committee's list. It was not immediately clear whether the government would appeal against the district court'sdecision in the Supreme Court http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-21280101 |

Hw r u doing? No wonder u no show face 4 nairaland .how ws the trip? . Ok! I dnt know the number of cloths or colour u wear bt i know u must definately hv black skirt or trouser which u can combine with any oda colour. Brown can go with black and other colours too and wit ur shoes matching d colour of ur top, u are ready to go. If u are going wit any multicoloured gown just go with d most obvious colour to match it. Also, when u watch movies start taking notes of how people combine colours it wil help. |
I tot those borders were blocked. If they are truly in nigeria,hw did the get back? I pray our security forces dnt sleep ontop of this |
Dos of you talking about what u don't know keep saying it. Properties worth Millions of naira were destroyed and many lives were lost. The kwara state goverment dat declared curfew yesterday did just that on the radio without backing it up with neccesary force. If they had done it when this whole thing was brewing around jan 5,it wouldnt have being worse. Imagine, heard some solders just came in dis morning after announcing curfew ystday aftanoon. Who is decieving who? ERINLE people are loving people, this is a story of people intimidated beaten, provoked and pushed to the wall so they just have to fight back. This is really bad!i tell yah lasting peace is in christ alone |
lawal201: Its is only those people that do not know Offa very well that are supporting them. Offa and Ipee are in fracas for a long time over some pieces of land. NURTW Ijagbo branch erected a garage on their land and Offa people went there and burnt down the garage, they claimed Ijagbo land belong to Offa. It has been more than a month that Offa people have been beating Erin-ile people crossing their town. This latest battle was caused when an old Erin-ile man went to Offa to collect money from GT bank, the old man was coming home and when he stopped the taxi and mentioned Erin-ile, they jumped on him and beat him to death. The Erin-ile people that went to rescue him were attacked by the Niger delta machineries hired by offa people. The war is going on now, where are the Offa people with their big mouth, Erin-ile people have reached Idi-Ogun and they are at the front of Offa Town hall now, let Offa people come out and meet them. |
It has started again. If any1 knw d state governors number he beta call the military. This is more than what d mobile police could bear or Offa wil waste. Things are really going bad |
@jarus. No body wants war. Even if u are a victor, u stil lose something. It pray at the end they find a lasting solution to this. Life is much more than fighting and cursing. PEACE is life |
Jarus: I am from Offa and spent the first 18 years of my life there.Offa started all these not erin ile. The whole thing started early january by NURTW PEOPLE. They fought for two day because of passengers. When they were stil settling the issue Erinle people were barrd from passing tru Offa. The thing got escalated when some people coming from Ilorin were stoped, beaten with their vehicle spoit( beating of erinle people has being going for almost 2wks and Erinle keeping mute and patience) when some Erinles went to their rescue, offa started shoting at them. |
Erinle is the quite of the two neigbours. Offa always think with their population and money they can intimidate the Erin ile people. OFFA also have a long history of land disputes with their neigbours which includes Ijagbo,Ira,Ilemona,Ipee,Igosun, igbana and ojoku. It is no longer news that offa went and hired machineries against the Erin ile people which didnt faze the unrelenting Erin iles. As for the state govt keeping mute, news has it they are keeping sides with the Offa |
ayox2003: OP, let me give you a cheesy analogy.funny character. Sincerenigerian sud come and answer d Question |
If u don't talk to this girl,u really have failed. See,the epistle we read is nt meant 4 us alone. Tell dis girl hw u feel, the risk is worth taken. D journey of a thousand miles starts with a bold step. U wil definately learn 2 or 3 things about emotions from this girl. It is beta 2 try and fail than nt to try at all. If u dnt learn the rope now,u wil definately messup when u meet d right girl. No mata d category of girls u meet even if they dnt fit ur "class" wit an open mind u wil pick 1 or 2 frm them. I was in ur shoe, had dis same mentality bt thank God d whole thing changed when i heard it's beta 2 see females as friends 1st. The result was, i became less shy, have more female friends, they easily confide in me and so on. Try it guy, their is no harm in trying. |
An Egyptian court hassentenced to death 21 defendants over clashes between rivalfootball fans in which 74 people were killedlast February. The riots began minutes after a league game at Port Said stadium betweenlocal side al-Masry and Cairo club al-Ahly. The violence - Egypt's worst football disaster - sparked riots in Cairo during which a further 16 people died. The sentences came aftera day of clashes as the opposition marked the second anniversary of the revolution. Last year's football riots led to the suspension of the league. It began when al-Masry fans invaded the pitch, hurling stones and fireworks at the visitors. At the time some fans - who said security forces appeared to do little to prevent the clashes - accused supporters of toppled President Hosni Mubarak of instigating theincident. Seventy-three people, including policemen, were tried. The judge said he would announce the verdict for the remaining 52 defendants on 9 March http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-21209808 |
