So, students of Humanities will never pass recruitment test in your organization. so far its all based on arithmetic, i guess the language in your office is arithmetic too, your organization is an algebra company full of arithmetic.
Please dont channel your displeasure of the Op assessment method of using basic algebra to assess the candidates towards me, i dont see anything wrong with the question or the method. Its not my fault or any persons fault that a graduate cant answer the high school maths question, afterall every graduate is supposed to have passed maths with at least a credit in high school even if he/she is to study History or English in the University.

When I said that the hiring process is flawed, I'm talking from an employer's perspective. I've hired my share of candidates and I've also been to many job interviews. Trust me when I say that you can't hire the best candidates based on one arithmetic or critical thinking question, this is not an opinion but facts based on expert analysis. In fact hiring managers are advised to follow best practices/standards when it comes to the recruitment process, if you visit sites such as shrm.org and become a member, you'll be enlightened at how the best companies in the world hire and retain top talents.
I won't want to challenge you further on your position. It's clear we have different views.
But on a lighter note, it seems you never liked maths during your undergraduate and high school days hence the expression of your displeasure for the Op hiring approach of using high school basic algebra to assess the candidates.

I don't think you've still got the main gist.

Nobody on this thread has questioned God or asked you to defend God.

The questions have been 'How do you know ….. '?

What has been called to question are YOUR claims about God? YOUR claims about heaven and hell. YOUR claims!!

They have no basis. You are just making stuff up and fantasising woefully.

The only thing that you've gotten right so far is that I want to question your convictions.

Yes, I want to question YOUR convictions. What are they based on? On the bible? then I asked a simple question. How are you sure that the bible cannot mislead you? After all it is the same bible that the thousands of different denominations with their conflicting doctrines are reading.
You are asking me how I know, well I found out about it in the Bible.

And if you choose not to know, well that's your choice, I am not here to debate any claim not backed by scriptures.

You are assuming the positions they applied for relates to engineering or has a mathematical component. Even at that, choosing a candidate because they can solve one arithmetic question shows that the hiring process is fundamentally flawed.
You also do not know if the role applied for relates to engineering or has a mathematical component, my assumption was if it does, the question asked the 5 candidates is not out of place and on the basis of that I disagree that the hiring process is flawed.Besides you do not dictate to a potential employer about questions you want him/her to ask you rather you are asked questions that the employer deems necessary to ascertain certain qualities and abilities that the employer may need in prospective employees. The question could be quantitative, behavioural or qualitative in nature

I've graduated since 2008 and I didn't get the answer till after 5 minutes. I manage over 40 personnel in my department some are programmers, some are Database managers, all are good arithmetically but I'm in charge of all of them. I was directly involved in the hiring process for 25 out of 40 of them and I can't imagine asking them something as frivolous as an arithmetic question. I still don't understand the usefulness of the arithmetic question when it's been proving times without number that behavioral questions are more effective than quantitative questions when assessing job candidates!
I graduated in 2010, though have an engineering background. I got that question in about 30 seconds. If I was among those candidates I am sure I would have gotten that job with the slightest of effort. While I agree with you about the mostly used method for assessing candidates for job opportunities, it would again depend on the nature of Job, if the job requires a lot of thinking on the feet and calculations to make decisions, it wouldnt be out of place to ask such kind of questions that the Op asked to the 5 candidates.I am of the belief than an interview process should not be restricted to an expected certain type of questions.

I received a call from the Hr unit that they are sending 5 Trainees to me for confirmation. I was surprised because they didn't give me a prior notice. When I Queried the lady from the Hr unit she said the Senior Partner (HOD) contacted them that he will travelling to the UK that I can go ahead with the confirmation.

I was a bit nervous because I find it difficult relating with people, what do I ask them? Moreover I have too much on my hands already. I told Hr to give me an hour so that I can coordinate myself tongue....The truth is if you confirm a trainee and He/she under performs, it tells badly on your record. Here I am always striving to maintain a spotless record now this challenge doesn't look good.

Exactly an hour later Hr unit called again that they are on their way, I told her to take them to the conference room.....30mins later I joined them Lo and Behold I saw 5 well dressed gentlemen and ladies 3 guys and 2 ladies. I stared at them and they were looking back at me (which kind witch be this I said to myself) They thought I was testing them truth is I don't even know what to say or ask....."tell me your names I started".....after all the blah blah.....i went through their cv's it was good. 3 had first class. it was B.A trainee, I looked at their aptitude test performances read their essays great; yet I didn't know what further qstns to ask. So I wrote down a simple arithmetic on the board and I gave them 90s to solve. Only one got it right within the time frame (A lady!!!!; she bagged First class from Reading University UK). I thanked them for their interest in joining us. I sent my remarks to Hr and they were shocked. Hr Manager had to call me explaining that they have spent so such on the recruitment exercise and approving just one means they have to continue the exercise. I simply told him Mr ***a** you can confirm the rest.

This was the simple problem I wrote on the board.

€/€ - €/6 = €/12......what is the value of €?

So I am asking you, how good are you with basic reasoning?
This is so easy.If your narration is true, then this is shocking that only 1 out of 5 graduates got it right. This is elementary school algebra that high school students should play with and deliver in less than 30 seconds.

Before you start accusing me of strange labels, how do you know that the devil or hell even exist? Just because you read it in a book (written 2000 years ago by men who had less knowledge about the world than an average elementary school kid today), and then your preachers and parents pounded it into your head before you could even come up with thoughts of your own? Are those valid reasons to be certain about something?

Where is the evidence proving that either of those things are real? How do you know hell isn't just superstition and a figment of human imagination used to fearmonger people into believing in religion? When the concept of hell was created, it was believed to be deep underground. Now we know (because of science) that the only thing under the earth's crust is liquid magma, and an iron core which gives earth its magnetic properties. No devil to be found. Where is the devil? Where is hell? Give me proof, not bible quotes.
I guess you are an atheist who doesnt believe God.

But be aware science has never disproved the bible.
Have you heard of the drilling expedition in Siberia. An atheist was the person leading the expedition, his discovery made him change his belief about God.I would urge you to find out more about that.

Be aware it is safer to believe that hell and God exist and when you leave this world and discover that the bible was true afterall than to not believe and leave this world and discover that you were wrong. Then its impossible to get another chance.

A research was carried out sometimes ago in which 70% of Americans believe that the presence of an evil force in this world motivating people to do evil is real. They dont ascribe it as being the devil, they can call it whatever, but the bible calls it the devil. So the devil is real but God is more real.

You missed the point completely. How is causing suffering just to glorified yourself okay? Her question was not why God would do so at all, but why he would use such a pathetic and heartless means to make such a cheap point such as self glorification.

Would God not be more glorified if no one was born with defects at all?

I'm reminded of a metaphor that Malcolm X once used that America expecting black people to be grateful is like someone sticking a 10 inch blade into your back, then pulling it out by 3 inches (remaining 7 inches still in your back), then expecting you to be grateful that they pulled it out a bit.
I am not in a position to defend or question God for his actions because he knows far better than you or me and I guess you are wise eneough to know that.

Your question is likened to the question of Why did God create the being called satan that is troubling mankind or why did God not create all humans black or all humans white so there wont be racial discrimination.

Everything you know about Jesus is from the bible so all you are saying is that you choose to believe the bible.

The next question. How do you know the bible cannot mislead you?
I see you want to question my convictions

John 17:17King James Version (KJV)

17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Psalm 119:105King James Version (KJV)

105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path

So its impossible for the word of God (The Bible) to mislead me.

God never creates a person with defects. The enemy tampered with Gods creation.
Why would God allow the enemy to tamper with his creations? Isn't he stronger than the enemy? Couldn't he reverse the tampering if he wanted to? There are invasive medical procedures that have been discovered over the years via rigorous scientific research, which can repair some birth defects that would otherwise kill the child or make its life much harder. If secular human hands and minds can do that consistently and reliably, then why doesn't God?

God still allows that so that when they come into the world, they could be used to demonstrate the glory and power of God to the sons of men.
At the expense of the child's pain? God lets a child suffer just to prove something? And why would god have to prove things to people who should already believe in him anyway?

For instance a child born blind encounters the creative power of God as ministered to by one of his choice servants or prophets and the child receives his/her sight.
But there have been extremely few cases (I wouldn't hesitate to say zero independently validated cases) of spontaneous regeneration of sight. And even if there have been a few, it's still a fact that the vast majority of children born blind remain blind for the rest of their lives. There are many blind and otherwise disabled believers who never get healed no matter how many times they pray.

Scientists are still researching ways to aid these sufferers and possibly restore their sight. I have no doubt that in the future many more cures will be developed. But again - these are secular human hands and minds doing the work, using knowledge humanity has accumulated over hundreds of grueling years.
John 9King James Version (KJV)

9 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,

7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

8 The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?

9 Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he.

10 Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened?

11 He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight

Does this answer your question

Once gave my mumu bottom lyk this to the only woman I ever loved. What did she do?

She used the love to spit on my face and told me"fvck your self" while pretending to feel same way.

This is a woman I loved with every muscle and nerve in me. ditched numerous ladies on my neck for her, and treated her lyk a queen, did all the foolish things people do for love, just lyk the above depicted.

What did I get? I got a terrible heartbreak, the type of pain I have never felt my entire life.

The bitchh was screwing a guy she claimed to be a broda. I mean, blood brda and I was oblivious of the fvck going on,cos I took permission from the suppose brda(my childhood friend) to date his sister, thinking that they're real blood relative.

I was still on my mumu mode, going to get her a gift for her birthday, when I noticed the junior brda of my friend who accompanied me, Keep insisting I don't get her a gold jewelry, he insisted i get a cheap gift for her and I was lyk dude "what's your fvcking prblm", Is there something you are not telling mehuh

That was when the dude opened up on how his conscience wouldn't allow him to see me decieved, and how his bro was screwing my one and only love at night in their room..lol. Man dun suffer.grin

I was ineffably infuriated, but managed to give my sis all I already bought for her. That was how I gave the custody of my mumu bottom to my family thereafter.

I can't do the depicted bullshitt for anyone in the name of love. Women don't appreciate sincerity and men who treat them lyk queen. They want baddass motherfucking coded .

gentlegenius:
Fellow Christians,
Our world is filled with numerous churches and pastors who for selfish reasons, had deviated from the way that Christ commanded us follow.
But should we all stop going to church or stop listening to today's pastors?
I think the solution is this:
We must believe that God doesn't live in any of these churches but lives in us when we purify our hearts.
We must also believe that in this new covenant era, God doesn't have a temple in any church as it was in the old covenant era. Our body is the temple of God; so we must keep it holy.
This shows that God is not found in all these end time churches but for the sake of helping one another spiritually and otherwise, we still have reasons to go to Church.
Now, the bottom line is this: WORSHIP GOD EVERYDAY BUT GO TO CHURCH WHENEVER YOU LIKE.
Satanic advice aimed at preventing people from seeking and encountering God in zion.Be aware the effort to deceive has failed woefully.

Not forsaking the assembly of the brethren as the manner of some of you saith the bible.
They go from strength to strength everyone that appeareth in Zion before God saith the bible.

That there are fakes doesnt mean that there are no genuine living churches of God. I think there are quite a number of them. But be guided so you dont enter into a "one chance" assembly

But When oil was been sold at an oil time high price of $140 per barrel. Why didnt the Naira appreciate to at least N100 or lesser to the dollar?

No one should tell me about the market forces of demand, supply and export.

When export value of the oil was so high why didnt the Naira gain so much.
I guess some forces didnt want naira to appreciate.

You got it wrong. Every man is born with a purpose, whether you fulfill that purpose or not is up to you. Life is a waste if one ends up in hell, after living here on earth fufilling Gods purpose or not.

Jesus said what shall it profit a man after gaining the whole world and losing his soul after. He talked about life hereafter.

When someone close to me dies I feel grieved just like every other person. One of the first thought that comes to my mind is that, did the person make Heaven or Hell. I believe in the existence of heaven and hell as the destination after one leaves earth according to Gods time.

A wise man said we all have a common past but not a common future.

If one look around and observe the tragedy befalling humans on earth, one would realize that the human life is so fragile. As I thought deeply about the loss of a dear one who was successful by every standard in this life but his stand with God, I wasnt sure but he has left planet earth to return back to his maker.

As I reflected, it became clear that the only way to guarantee a pleasant future after one leaves planet earth is to make a decision for God and to walk in his will. Like someone said if you miss Heaven you cant miss Hell.
Like I humorously tell God, Is better you never created me, than for me to come to this life and after living here, miss heaven and unfortunately make it to the hell fire, the place of no return and everlasting suffering

Friends, I urge you to decide for the Lord Jesus today if you are not yet saved to guarantee your future in eternity.
