Please I am also trying to get my transcript. Have you found a solution to it?

not new. With Canadian citizenship people move to the USA using this route. From Nigeria some auditor, tech guys, nurses and doctors use the route

you are buying dollars at black market rate. Only those with qualifying transactions like school fees, importers or certain goods etc can buy at official rate. Currently there are no dollars for those ones self.

go to your bank and open a domiciliary account.( dollar account) then buy dollar and pay into it,that's all. If they need POF , you can print your dollar account statement and show them.

To me I prefer to keep POF in dollars. Inflation can affect your local currency. You may keep your POF in your local currency, in the next 1 year,exchange rate will affect your money,then it becomes a challenge.

Please when setting aside the POF, is it ideal to use the official rate or the black market rate?

My experience at the immigration office this morning in Abeokuta
I got to the office around 12:30pm I met the officers( all female officers) and I told them I’m here to submit my documents because my appointment date for capturing is 30th of august and they said okay I should meet one of the female officers to attend to me ...To cut the story short they told me all the documents I need to present then I brought them out..They said I will need to buy a file, a small envelope and I will have to write an application letter which I did from one of the business centers ( they already have the formats, Just give them your passport) so getting back to the office after printing my application letter , the officer that was attending to me now said I can’t get the 30th of august that was stated on my appointment letter that I will get the middle of September..I was like wow � don’t you follow the printout, she said she has the final say that it’s what she write on the file that they will treat ...I was like this is serious ooo... I told her how I was in a rush to get my passport done and she said what do I want her to do for me...Then I told her I want my own appointment date gangan ...That was when she said I should speak the language that she will understand...I already knew where she was helding to but I was still pretending...That was when she openly told me that I have to pay 5k so I can get my date...And she showed me files with 5k each in it ...That was when I had to cooperate too cos if I want to go strong head she will do what she wants to do...

Nope... The official rate is #25,000, Bank charge is #1,000. Total #26,000.

If you need the passport before November, I'd advise you to pay an official to fast-track it.

DIY is not for people who need a passport urgently.

If you decide to DIY, your capturing date might even be in November.

Did you use an affidavit for your birth certificate or you got one from NPC

I collected my passport officially yesterday August 18th, 2022.

Note: When I visited NIS Office on July 22nd, 2022, I was told the passport wasn't ready.

The officials are wolves and hyenas looking for who to devour.

If you are on DIY route you must be ready to fight with the beasts.

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria but shame on the greedy NIS officials that do not want the country to work.

1) In my own case I wasn't asked for any of those yesterday because I had done my interview. But they didn't ask for it not even from another person.
2) I wasn't harassed neither was any preference given to those who paid extra money. The only factor that could hasten up your capturing is if you know any officer that'd help you. The man I know wasn't around else I wouldn't have stayed that long.
3) I didn't do that myself. Someone help me. But I heard you can do it nearby. Just ask around.
4) I'd advise you get there by 12/1. You might be lucky they call your name in time.

4) My appointment is by 2 pm, if I get there early in the morning will it make a difference?

Bro make I no lie you the thing long no be small. The time on my appointment slip was 2pm and I got there 1pm. My name wasn't called until 5pm. So all I am tryna to say is get ready to wait for a longer period of time.


And one more piece of advice is don't wear a white shirt or top. You won't be allowed to capture or else you'd be told to borrow a Coat and you arr going to pay 1k for it

Mention both the Master's and the first degree when creating your WES profile and application. Go ahead and process your transcript, when you eventually finish the other degree, request for the transcript to be sent to WES. WES will wait to receive both transcripts before completing your assessment.
If you don't include both qualifications at the start and decide to add the second degree later, you'd have to pay more, but your assessment for the first degree may be ready before January if you can get the transcript (and verification) to them in good time.
