demiiii: 50k as a monthly salary is so small as an income. The VO complained about how I accumulated over N3m, even though I earned over N200k as salary. So you see, this is a major problem.
You need to show how you accumulated funds or earnings. So what are you suggesting.....We should just put study leave approved letter With Sponsor’s SOA and forfeit personal statement of account?? |

Good morning people of God, Alot of questions have been roaming through my mind
My mum is my sponsor,As at now she’s having 6m( before paying the tuition fee )closing balance Which I’m thinking of adding at least 5 or 6m just to show them sufficient fund... I’m working presently earning 55k Going for MSc My questions are stated below..... Do I need to submit my own personal statement of account or just my mum’s SOA when submitting my application.... Abi both SOA As at now my balance is Ike 500k Do I need to edit my income to like #200 or #300k per month.... The 10kCAD you guys are talking about, which account should it be... my Acct or Sponsor’s acct... Also, when submitting reference letter, will approved Study leave letter be sufficient or combined with my Employment letter Will really appreciate your contribution on this... |

ConradAce1: Nice opinion but note this. The chances are very very slim to get a masters admission With that GPA. You might just waste that application fees. The university wouldn’t deny. Just wait & see the outcome. “Sorry you didn’t meet our eligibility” & don’t qualify for the program. But most universities are not after the 2.1 or 2.2 ....most universities are calculating based on the last two years of your degree because they believe those are the period you did your main courses ... but it would be safe to have 2.1 sha... My opinion |

Frankrobbn1: See my responses below;
1. The requirement for the NSE program is that you must have 30KCAD which is equivalent to 9.1M in Naira. You have to show evidence of this money by providing a MyBank Statement with ticket ID and password from a commercial bank in Nigeria as well as a one year bank history.
2. The Mybank Statement can be generated from either in your Sponsor's name or applicant's name.
3. There are no penalties for non-compliance. Failure to submit the required documents for the NSE program, your application will continue to be processed in the regular processing manner.
4. You need to provide an updated POF, which will be dated recently.
I hope this information helps.
It will end in praise. Yes, this information helps but the 30kCAD... is it before or after paying tuition fee? |

JustMellow: Hello Bidemialade43,
The proficiency letter won't suffice. If NSE is your desire processing Stream, then either IELTS AT or GT would be sufficient.
For IELTS practice, you can self-study using YouTube to practice with LizIELTS for Writing, IELTSonline.com for Listening and Reading, E2Jay, IELTSadvantage. If you're focused, you would score 8 overall even though the required is 6 overall.
All the best Thank you very much.... Still at the admission processing though.... |

MadeMan01: Normally evidence of English proficiency would not be necessary from Nigeria to get admission in Canada, but from what I understand, the NSE is a pathway to expedite study permit application with clearly defined requirements. As plain as is written on that publication screen shot. I have no idea about exact IELTS spec but I wrote general last year December and my results out since January 2020. If I'm asked for it, I will provide that since they did not specify academic or general. It's a technical loophole. Thank you very much ... please what’s your score and what is that hard? Coz I’m scared oh |

Lekiboboev2: Hi,
You are welcome,
U got a good CGPA to secure a Masters in Canada, and mind u, the Masters u must go for must be Mass Comm. Related (For Career Progression sake)
For MASTERS admission application, u don't rilly need WAEC or NECO result, most skools will require u to secure a Supervisor (Professor) before you can apply for your Admission and what those Professors will require from u is ur Transcript and ur Academic CV
Its is when u wanna apply for ur Study VISA u can upload ur WAEC or NECO result as part of your supporting documents
Yes, you are safe to apply for admission with that CGPA, but note that getting M.SC admission ain't about CGPA only, there is more to it, e.g Research Ability, Statement of Purpose and other requirements depending on the skool and program u are applying for.
Visit the links below for Masters in Mass Comm. & Mass Comm. Related programs in CANADA universities, Google the programs and the skools one by one explicitly and reach out to Professors of those departments

Good luck Thank you so much for the priceless information.... But my issue now is, I work as a customer service in a company..... hope I’m still safe to study MSC in any Masscommunication or related courses |
