Fashola is a great governor only because we do not have true leadership in Nigeria; hence, one eye is better than none (typical Nigerians' attitude).

I say, absolutely the best or nothing.

In my book, Gov Fashola is just an ok governor, absolutely not a great governor. This is simply because he doesn't follow certain necessary basic steps during the implementation of any of his projects (ie, he mostly lacks common sense).
A true leader must not allow his emotion to over shadow his or her strategies.

Is there any proper plan in place for these beggars?
How or Where exactly does he (Fashola) want these folks to make a living?
Has Fashola been to any of these homes before?
Has he provided jobs for these folks?
What exactly is the future of this plan?
Has he (Fashola) taken a time out to clearly think about the real outcome of this move?

As far as I'm concerned, more than 50% percent of Lagosians are indirectly beggars.

Fashola needs to start planning properly, and clearly understand the outcome of all his moves  before striking.

Fashola will be nothing, but another wuruwuru leader (full of half baked solutions and weak process) in an organized country.
Let us stop settling for less or half job well done in this country and demand for the best that we deserve from our leaders.

Just because leadership is weak in Nigeria doesn't necessarily mean we should remain blind and continue to worship half baked leaders like Fashola

Looking @ Ribadu's track record, noise making technique and enormous level of his shakara in general, taking a job in another country in less than 3 weeks after he lost a presidential election was the last thing one should be expecting from this dude.
This quick move by Ribadu shows nothing but the level of his thinking and patriotism; its a complete indication that Ribadu never cared about this country from day 1.

I mean, this dude was just on the TV debating the best way to move this country forward and all of a sudden he has taken a new job in another country. Which means he had a plan B all along, no wonder why he mostly spoke with both sides of his mouth thru out the presidential campaign.
The truth is, you can never give all you got to plan A if plan B is lingering on your mind. Ribadu should have stepped aside and allowed someone else who was more promising and focused to carry AC N presidential flag while he pursued his ambition in Afghanstan. May be someone better than uncle Jonathan would have won the election.

Trust me, Ribadu isn't Sarowiwa, or Gani or Obama and he can never be, even if he takes another position in Libya.
He is not only a selfish human being, but also a hopeless coward.

@Big B1: Alright. I see. So I guess a few years in Lagos before Ota. Funny though, there was a man in my church involved in IT from Ogun or Oyo (I cannot remember which.) He did very well here, then jumped back to Nigeria in 2001 or so. And I know specifically he didn't return to do business in Lagos.

Rule number 1: If you don't want to fail face down, don't ever copy anybody's move or compare anyone's situation to yours when you're planning to return back to Nigeria.
Rule number 2: Before making your final decision, come and test drive Nigeria for at least 6 months.
Rule number 3: Don't ever make your final decision to return to Nigeria based on someone's promise to assist you in anyway.
Rule number 4: As the man, be the first to return while your family prepares to join you (at least in a year or 2)
Rule number 5: Don't be scared to meet good people, but try not to sweat anybody regardless of what they have or who they are; just be yourself @ all time.
Rule number 6: Cut your shirt according to your size, don't look like a clown.
Rule number 7: Be fair, but don't be too nice to your employees (or else your employees will see you as a mugu)
Final rule: Please don't move to Ota.

As a JJC family, you want your kids to mingle with other kids that have great things in common with them. The last thing you want is for you and your entire family to become a local champion in an area like Ota; the negative result of such move may not be visible right away, but in a long run, it isn't what you want for yourself or family>

You will be far from everything.
For medical, you will have to return to Lagos.
For good school, you will have to look for good boarding school.
For entertainment, you will have to invite basketmouth to your house weekly.
For safety, you will need Jesus himself to give you the proper security required for that area.
If you're not a businessman, for great paying jobs, you will still have to return to Lagos.

In short, if you're not frustrated in less than 6 months your madam will be frustrated.
You can not simply return from oversea and jump into living in Ota.

It will only cost you about N12k per year for rent; with free cat fish from time to time.

It is not only about just you, think about your madam and kids (if you're married with kids) who you're bringing from a well structured environment

If your answer is yes, then you'll find a safe, civilized and friendly environment at least for the first 5 yrs returning back to this country.

The attraction is very simple: These areas are safe, more civilized and very friendly to diasporans; unlike other areas around Lagos.

Be very careful with service apartments.
If you're not making at least 3 or 4m per month, do yourself a favor stay away from service apartment in Ikoyi or VI.
But if you can afford it, the best service apartments are the ones not too far from Tinubu's stolen mansion in Ikoyi (park view area)

I love Nigeria more than anything else, but I must confess that our system is designed for folks to steal (preferable government money).
Examples:
To rent a decent crib in Lekki for a year will cost you over N3m, in VI N5m and Ikoyi N6m (Don't let us talk about buying at this time)
Average monthly cost of diesel will be about N200k
Average quarterly cost of school fees N1.5m (if you have 4 or more kids, just simply jump off 3rd mainland bridge)
Weekend pocket money (bwt you, the kids and madam) about N250k or more
Average monthly money stolen from you by your drivers, gateman, houseboy, housegirl, electrician, generator engineer, mechanic and other invisible individuals, about N350k.
And other miscellaneous, about N200k.

It is painful when I read some of the posts on this forum.

Goodluck did absolutely nothing yesterday or today, hence, he has nothing to offer tomorrow.
This is so not because he's a useless man, but simply because he's surrounded by evil people that prefer this country to remain the same till the end of time.
It is also clear that what is on the ground is way too big for Goodluck to handle.
And God knows that I'm better off if Goodluck wins.
But we must all stop thinking about just selves, set aside foolish sentiment state of mind and start looking at the bigger picture.

It is 100% guarantee that Buhari will clean the blockage that has been preventing the growth of this great country; the blockage that is killing the children one by one, (the hope and our tomorrow).

Education has stopped in this country for almost 20 yrs.
Medical system is only available for the elites.
Power supply is also only available for the elites.

My friends, you do not want to witness how heavily the children of the elites roll in Abuja and Lagos (mostly using money that belong to all of us).
In Nigeria today, it is either you're very rich or very poor or you don't even count.
How long can we stand to witness this craziness?

Looking @ the track records of PDP and AC N, one will quickly realize that the difference btw the 2 parties isn't much.
Apart from the incredible performance of Gov. Fashola, AC N really has nothing else but money (directly from Lagos state pocket) to win all these senatorial spots.

What I know:
1.PDP:This party doesn't give a damn about anything or anybody, but selves and very much proud of it.

2.AC N: this party is ready to perform, but also makes it clear that they will pocket some money with very little hesitation.
If you think back, this was also how PDP started 15 years ago. Hence, it is a matter of time, AC N will repeat what PDP has shown us for almost 15 years.

3.CPC: this party doesn't have money, but has integrity, honesty and an ok record.
CPC is focused and very ready to bring the change we have been craving in this country for over 25 years. They will work day and night for all Nigerians. They will bring back the morals, positive strenght and discipline we need more than anything in this country.

The best thing that can happen to Nigeria is to mix things up; AC N in control of the national assembly ( the house), CPC in-charge of Aso Rock and allow PDP to continue to crumble till the end of time.

Buhari 2011 or else we will continue to fool ourselves for another 4 years.

A complete madness for INEC (with all the billions spent or stolen) to be bold enough to give the entire nation April Fool on the 2nd of April, Nigeria is a failed land, Jega must go!

It is obvious that Ribadu is loved by many Nigerians in Nigeria and outside Nigeria (mostly the younger generation). He has been very successful in fooling a very large percentage of Nigerians for many years. But lately it seems that Ribadu is starting to run out of fuel, all because of his double mouth characteristic.

He's simply not going to win this election or any election in Nigeria any time soon because this presidential election has revealed the other side of the young fellow, as being desperate and inconsistent with his anti- corruption stance.

It is sad that Buhari @ is age is doing much better than Ribadu and Adeola in every state except for Ekiti.

@ topic, it is all and always about Ribadu and never about Nigeria. This is not new to those of us that deeply know Ribadu. In fact, his best friend (El-Rufai) is not supporting him. Why? El-Rufai knows better.

Why do you think AC N and CPC couldn't merge? Because Ribadu doesn't want to be a VP to Buhari. To me that combo would have been a marriage from heaven. But of course, Ribadu wants all the power to himself.
As the EFCC chairman, Ribadu did not follow any regulations, he felt he was bigger than Nigeria.
He lacks effective leadership qualities.

But unfortunately, Goodluck is a push-over, Shakarau, we do not know much about the dude and Buhari still represents the strongest of all. He will bring back the discipline, which we need in this country more than anything else, but IBB, the guru has endorsed Ribadu. Which means there is something special he, Ribadu may be bringing to rebuild this nation. Hence, I have 40% chance to vote for Ribadu, but Buhari still gets 60 % (sorry IBB). This may also change.

Ribadu isn't Gani Fawehinmi or Sarowiwa, he's nothing but a hungry/desperate politician just like the rest.

First, Ribadu is a true Nigerian and an exceptional human being, however, he isn't a presidential material.
I continue to tell folks over and over to please set sentiment aside and never allow lack of good leadership in Nigeria to reduce what we deserve and truly desire.
Ribadu is a good man, but not a leader, at least not a leader that Nigeria needs at this time.

The difference btw Gadafi and Ribadu isn't much if you honestly think profoundly.

Making noise or running around like a headless chicken or pointing out what is wrong with our system doesn't automatically make you a leader.
There is much more to effective and efficient leadership, trust me.

During the debate once again I witnessed Ribadu's true color in action.
What is Ribadu's true color?

This is not what we want or need in Nigeria.

During the debate, Ribadu wasn't able to control himself 80 percent of the time, he also found it extremely difficult to obey the rules. He reminded me of a crack addict who was completely out of control.

My honest suggestion is for Ribadu and his VP (Fola Adeola) to switch position;
I think AC N will have a better chance if this takes place right away.

It is important for Nigerians to elect a president that is organized, settled, balanced, no skeleton record, focused, competent and ready to work for Nigeria, and not just a power crazy entity.

Please also take a time out to check out the Governor of Kano, and I assure you that leadership will be seen on a totally different light.

Ribadu is better off leading Nigeria Police, but absolutely not leading Nigerians.

If Ribadu becomes the next president (which I honestly doubt) he will end up nursing problems upon problems for the 4 years and at the end of the day he will end up running away for cover in another country.

Ribadu is no Gani Fawehinmi or Mandela. He is just another northern kid that badly seeks for power. This power may end up affecting Nigerians and Nigeria negatively, all because Ribadu has no managerial skill.

Think and elect the right leader for the sake of tomorrow.

I can assure you with complete confidence that PDP party has paid for at least 95 percent of the questions that will be asked during the presidential debate. This was done only for our genius president to practice his answers and swagger.

But something tells me that there are somethings in life that can not be bought; Wisdom and charisma happen to be 2 of these things.

Goodluck will be schooled like a slow bush-man by Buhari and Ribadu.
I can't wait for this debate to take place.

I also hope for at least 4 presidential debates before the election.
I think 4 debates will be more than enough to expose Mr. President and disable PDP party.

A CN,CPC and others parties should immediately start challenging our president to come out and debate.Ask him to answer questions and present what he has to offer us for the next 4 years.

My folksN please clearly understand that 4 years is a very long time, especially in a country where graduate students are earning less than N40k a month (more than half of this N40k is spent on transportation), where 85 percent of the population live below poverty level, where in most areas power supply is down 95 percent of the time, where some of our government officials are making as much as president Obama's annual salary for simply stealing, where educational and medical standard is low as back as 85 years ago, where decent infrastructure is no longer visible, where 1 godfather is making up to N800m monthly just because he feels like it, and so on.

Our country is too wealthy for any of our brothers and sisters to be suffering or experiencing this very low and deadly standard of living. FYI: the percentage of unemployment in Nigeria is still over 50 percent.

We will be f00lish to vote for any candidate who hasn't presented his plans and strategy to move this country forward and setup a better future for our children.

I'm very certain that Goodluck Jonathan Ebele Azikiwa has absolutely nothing to offer this country. And this is simply the main reason why they will continue to hide him from facing Nigerians (the people he wants to lead) to answer questions and present his plans.

Honestly, Jonathan has no clue where to start, how to start or where to end; and these are all written all over his face.

Nigerians, please for the sake of the future, the dieing children, the suffering senior citizens, the hopeless young adults and the frustrated farmers all around this country, let us all set sentiment aside and take a good closer look at all of these candidates before we cast our votes. It makes no sense for us to keep our water in a basket before few thieves say so.

Let us use our heads, think and let's get it right this time around.

Buhari's and Ribadu's teams may not have enough money to make enough noise, but I can assure you that they have the knowledge, discipline, skill, talent and record to make big things happen in Nigeria; and that to me is absolutely priceless.

I am starting to honestly feel Ribadu and Fola. These folks are not typical nigerian politicians and the combo is incredible.
Ribadu will focus on making sure that nigerians are doing what is right, while his VP, fola will focus on implementation and execution various project.
Buhari and bakare also look ok. The sad new: goodluck jonathan clearly represents the horrible same news from the past.

Let us get it right this time and allow competent professionals who have the capabilities to clearly deliver their messages effectively and efficiently to lead us.

We are too smart to continue to allow village headmasters to kill the future of our children.

Jonathan Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe must come out and present what he has to offer. It is that simple.
