This is great our president (GEJ and wife).Again, Nigerians are mostly dull and fooolish. Why should I be happy that Mr. President is dancing with his wife when the entire country is falling apart, corruption continues to eat up the soul of this nation like cancer, corrupt government (ex) officials are walking all around the world freely, unemployment is sky high, more kids and senior citizens are walking around the country with empty stomachs day after day. It is simply clear that this country has no foundation and the future is also full of sadness. Obama happens to be my leader, a true leader, a leader I admire, trust and want to emulate in every single way. One could easily identify whether a newly elected leader is going to be effective or ineffective within the first 2 to 3 months. Without all these things been done by August, Jonathan will immediately become a joke just like the other incompetent leaders we've experienced in the past. 1. OBJ and other old thieves must be immediately made irrelevant. 2. Gbenga Daniel and Akala must be arrested immediately. 3. Ibori must not be released until he has his day in the court of law. 4. The implementation of power supply project must start immediately. 5. Diesel price must be adjusted immediately. 6. There should be quarterly leadership training for all governors for the next 4 years. 7. The improvement strategies for education and medical system should be addressed openly immediately. 8. Bankole should be arrested and probed immediately. Let's hope for the best. |

I couldn't believe it until I was sitting just few seats away from the president of Liberia, a couple days ago on a commercial airline. On the other hand, Bankole is here in my lovely country beating his chest all over town with $1b in his "proxy" bank account with UBA. It is absolutely amusing. |

It has been confirmed that Gbenga Daniel escaped to London on Friday and Akala has also disappeared this morning. I can assure you with 100% confidence that this wouldn't have happened if Buhari was our president or was going to take over tomorrow. All due respect and absolutely nothing against Jonathan, but we must all come to realize that we've missed road once again. Folks in Egypt, Yemen, Libya, even Iran and few other countries are starting to wake up and getting control of the future of their countries. Are we ready to follow the same foot steps in Nigeria? Firstly, pls understand that these thieves are damnn too powerful, hence Jonathan has no balls to Bleep with them. He knows it and the entire Abuja knows it too. Why do you guys think most politicians in Nigeria didn't want to see Buhari to take over? Once again, we've missed road and politicians from all parties are ready to once again take us for a very long ride; simply because we are mostly foooolish group of people. We've used the same quantity of the same recipe and we now expecting the food to taste better. What a hopeless group of people. We haven't seen nothing yetjust wait and see. Yes, things are changing in the country, but what we forgot to realize is that politicians are also changing their strategies; they are younger, smarter and a bit more desperate. If it is true that this fooolish boy has $1b in his account; based on what I have seen and know, I can tell you that the loot is connected to many big wigs in Nigeria, therefore, it won't take too long for these to start doing anything and everything to rescue this boy (Bankole). So, my bothers and sisters, this is not a new news and it will continue to be so as long as we don't wake up, ignore sentiment and elect the right entity and the right time. Things are too tough on the ground and we are almost there; honestly, Jonathan has no business to be the president of this country @ this time.But most of us are just too stuupid to see thru the darkness we've been experiencing for the past 30 years. Don't blame PDP, or AC N or Jonathan or Bankole, let us all look in the mirror and blame ourselves. Leaders will only give you what you deserve and so far we've made it obvious that deserve nothing, but every despicable thing on this planet. Wake up Nigerians! |

What's wrong with you people? Why are you so surprised? And why are you crying again? I thought na only IBB be the biggest and only thief in Nigeria. So, what's the problem here? You haven't seen anything yet, just simmer down and watch how politicians (PDP, AC N and others) will continue to share your money among themselves. Sorry to tell you that Bamikole will not be doing any time in jail for this. why? Because it's not a big deal among these people. Jonathan might even rescue him indirectly. What do you guys know? This is why Nigerians should have elected the only man (Buhari) that could have sincerely cleaned up this country.That would have worked day and night for all Nigerians. @Topic: I completely see your point. Do not get me wrong Fashola is ok, but absolutely not my Messiah. Apart from the dude just doing his job, there is also enormous amount of Lagos State revenue available to make all these great things happen. We must never forget that Lagos State still remains the easiest state in the entire country to manage; there is money constantly being generated, the state isn't that big, and Lagosians are very simple and mostly from a very similar root. In a country where a focused, competent and sincere leader has not been witnessed for over 30 years, it will be unfair to blame folks that see Fashola as the greatest of all time. I May share the same state of mind with these folks as soon as Gov Fashola is able to man up and confront Tinubu. I'm not sure why you guys continue to cry; you've paid for a Toyota Corolla, but now you're expecting a Lamborghini. You haven't seen nothing yet, just wait and see. Stable or constant electric power supply will continue to be something that we come across when we dream. Diesel price will continue to rise. Food will not be enough. Sky is the limit for the unemployment rate. Nothing but the truth; absolutely on point. I'm very glad to know that we still have Nigerians that have common sense and completely understand that sentiment is only acknowledged by f00lish people. It is clear that we are in trouble for the next 4 years. Lagos will continues to look nice while Lagosians and a great percentage of other Nigerians will continue to beg for food. Corruption will continue to be the most lucrative concept in the country. It will always be all about who you know while great talent will not be acknowledged. Diesel price will continue to go up while businesses continue to struggle to stay alive. It will continue to be either you're very rich or very poor; middle class will not be visible for a very long time. All because Nigerians are so very stuppid to elect Jonathan. With all due respect, Goodluck Jonathan is a great Nigerian, but simply doesn't have what it takes to move this country forward; progress is never by luck, but by determination, knowledge, and consistency. Goodluck Jonathan is not to be blamed; blame yourselves. Out of all the 3 candidates even a 2 yr old baby knew that the only hope to get this country back in order was to elect Buhari. Again, bravo to El-Rufai for being bold enough to publicly embrace the truth (the fact). |

I think it has been confirmed that the faggott is an American. What an idiotttt and a typical example of why Nigeria is this screwed up. These motherfkers step on the rule of law in the day time without any hesitation. How can we move forward when folks like Ajimobi can not just simply obey the law? What is the difference btw Ajimobi and a common area boy? Not much. Now let us talk about what is on the ground. Yes, Ajimobi screwed up, but that doesn't mean that Akala will just walk back to be the governor of Oyo state for the 2nd time. The mandate of the people of Oyo state must still be acknowledged. Hence, the spot still belongs to the AC N party. I believe the deputy governor will be moved up to be the governor while they look for a replacement for his original spot. Ajimobi screwed up, AC N did not screwed up. I honestly feel bad for all the great Nigerians that took their precious time out to campaign and support Ajimobi. I hope these folks are compensated for their priceless time and their pure dedication. |

The truth is: the difference btw Akala and Fashola isn't much. You folks must keep in mind that Lagos remains the richest and the most easiest state in Nigeria to manage. The size of monthly revenue that is being generated in Oyo state is not even 2% when it's compared to the one that is generated in Lagos, therefore, it becomes very difficult to compare the 2 governors. Fact:More Revenue, more projects and absolutely more money to steal. Real politicians in Nigeria that profoundly understand the type of politics we have here on ground will tell you that Akala isn't the worst out there. In fact, I will not be surprised if Fashola and co pocket more money than any other governor in Nigeria. FYI: I do not support Akala in any way, but it is fair to call a spade a spade. If you think and set sentiment aside you will realize that there isn't any governor or leader in Nigeria today that deserves to be celebrated. It makes no sense to pick and choose, they are all thieves and the cancer that continue to kill our country gradually. |

As much as you people hate to hear the truth I will not stop embracing the it. It continues to be more visible to me day after day that most folks on Nairaland are foreigners that think they know 1 or 2 things about real politics in Nigeria, but really have no clue. You haven't seen anything yet, just wait for a few more months Nothing against Jonathan, but he simply can not break down this invisible wall. Therefore do not be surprised if Akala and many others are being selected. Fact: Our president has no balls to deny the names on the list that was given to him. IBB still remains the best entity for the presidential position in Nigeria during this very critical time, but many can not see this far. |

This is a great move without any question, but I challenge Fashola to present his plans for this project and I'm 100% sure that it wouldn't take too long to discover few loopholes that will allow either his strategies or human rights law or even security of the citizens to be compromised . This is just his style of leadership; he produces, but he's never on point (but yet we praise the dude). He is the type that will destroy a market place and use the land to construct a recreation park; he forgets that we still need the same market place to get our food supplies. Once again, in my book this dude is just ok, his intentions are completely bright, but he mostly allows his emotion to over shadow his strategies. Fashola needs not only to be systematic but also technical during the implementation of his projects in Lagos or else things will continue to fall apart few years after the completion. Here is another example of Fashola's style: Instead of taking all necessary steps to plan a successful strategy as President Obama has just done in Pakistan, Gov Fashola would have ordered the NAVY seals to bomb Osama Bin Laden's house if he was in-charge of the operation that successfully killed the terrorist. I honestly don't think the dude is that smart and absolutely not as tough as you guys think. |

FYI: It isn't that difficult for a governor to look like a magician in a state like Lagos that generates enormous amount of revenue on a daily basis. Believe it or not, Lagos state still happens to be the easiest state to manage in Nigeria. I can assure you that Fashola will struggle as a governor of Oyo state. |

Obama is not only working very hard day and night because he feels like it; he continues to do his best on a regular because Americans refuse to settle for less or embrace half baked leader. Our leaders in Nigeria will not do what is right correctly if we continue to embrace stupidity. If Fashola thinks he's a tough and no nonesense governor, he should then prove it to us by calling out Tinubu (the biggest thief in Lagos state); in other words, if Fashola truly wants to clean up Lagos, Tinubu should be the first on the list to be stroked, not the beggars that have little choice to survive. |
