TIANSIE: Good comment, but be very careful, some of these information are not directly coming from IBB. Nigerian newspaper can not be trusted at all time. There are many stories that have been printed lately about other things (not about IBB) that I was fortunate to be very close to that weren't true. Sometimes newspaper choose to write about anything just to increase sales.

Be smart and always make your own judgment based on a reliable source.
Politics › Re: Donald Duke For 2007 Presidency? by BigB11(m): 2:52pm On Sep 07, 2006
STANECH: As per your advice, no need for any argument, but I think you should read my comment over again, Please take your time.

Not having a good leadersip quality= this is your statement

I'm not too sure about his leadership qualities= this is my statement

The two statements are totally different from one another. Not having a good leadership quality is a conclusion, a complete statement; while not too sure about his leadership qualities is incomplete statement, a statement that needs more research to be concluded.

Hence slow down a bit and understand comment before speculating.

Back to the topic:
I need more information about this cat before I can buy what he's selling.
You guys have to be careful by not making your decision based on a great job done in cross rivers. The different between cross rivers (State) and Nigeria (country) is enormous. The different between the two can be simplified using this example:

Managing Cross rivers is like managing family business that only exists in one town or state, while managing Nigeria as a country is like managing an international company that has activities in several states and sometimes in other countries.

I need more than cross rivers successful accomplishments to make my decision.

FYI: For several years President Bush as the governor of Texas did a tremendous job and many folks fell in love with him based on his performance as the governor of Texas; but look at what is currently going on in USA; It doesn't mean Mr Bush is a bad leader or has bad intention, it could be he's either not ready or just not a good fit for a presidential position.
This why it is very important for individual to deeply consider many factors, especially the invisible one before coming to a conclusion.
I respect Mr Duke and I wish him the best, but I need much more information and prove of a successful leadership qualities to make my decision.
If many Nigerians have the same mentality Nigeria as a country will not be what it is today.

Steve or OMOFINEBOY: WOW, I truly do not know where to start, I've tried everything to wake these folks up, nothing seems to be working. They all sleep and face the same direction. They have no clue of what is really going on inside the closed door.

I truly appreciate your bright input.

Nobody is calling IBB a saint, but never never allow this current administration to brainwash you with their fake probagandan. They are dirty as a farm pig.

ODEKU: so, what is your point? We should prevent folks from selecting their choice because of illiteracy and poverty?

Nonesense. The best we could do is to educate people and allow them to make their choice.

Politics › Re: Ibb's Hidden Treasure by BigB11(m): 10:03pm On Sep 06, 2006
I think it will be cool, I know for a fact that IBB is too smart to f u ck up for the second time.
Politics › Re: Ibb's Hidden Treasure by BigB11(m): 9:59pm On Sep 06, 2006
ODEKU: Becareful, this is Nigeria, there is still 95% possibility that IBB will be relocating to ASO ROCK in 2007.
Politics › Re: Ibb's Hidden Treasure by BigB11(m): 9:47pm On Sep 06, 2006
ODEKU: Excellent point, I truly admire your "disgraced Richard Nixon" example. But people in USA view leadership role differently from how we do in Nigeria, eg: 99% of leaders in USA are not corrupt, hence it is easy for them to make judgment in regards to Nixon's case.
As per your point, OBJ shouldn't have been given second chance either.
And how come OBJ choose to probe and expose IBB as soon as his bid for 3rd term failed? How come Nigerians are not questioning the obvious motive behind OBJ's agenda?

I refuse to see things the way most Nigerians do until we come to a conclusion that the current political drama in Nigeria is a rat race, is a sinner implicating another sinner and everybody including the president must pay.

IBB practically placed OBJ in his current position, IBB spent million of dollars during this process, how come OBJ didn't stop him at that period?

I refuse to support OBJ's vindictive childish behavior, I don't think he's current action is sincerely for the benefit of the Nigerian people, it is a personal objective and it is sad and careless to get innocent Nigerian people involved.
Finally, I do not think OBJ's administration is in a position to probe IBB. You wait and see OBJ will soon be exposed and you guys will quickly recognize that IBB's case is not the only significant case,
Politics › Re: Poll: Is Fidel Castro Dead? by BigB11(m): 8:06pm On Sep 06, 2006
People are not going to Cuba because the images of the country and the dictator are stained by the western media. When USA doesn't get along with you, they usually do anything to disable you and make life very uncomfortable for you.
One has to give credit to Castro for hanging in there all these years. I think he exhibits a true quality of a strong leader.

I wish him well and I hope a better strategy is implemented between USA and Cuba, so that peace can continue to spread through out the world.
Politics › Re: Donald Duke For 2007 Presidency? by BigB11(m): 5:54pm On Sep 06, 2006
Don't misunderstand my point, I'm very open to any candidate that shows an authenticated leadership qualities, which are greatly lacking in today's Nigerian society.
Politics › Re: Donald Duke For 2007 Presidency? by BigB11(m): 5:41pm On Sep 06, 2006
I'm hearing a lot of noise about this cat, DUKE and I really don't want to start making comments without having solid and reliable information about him, I've mentioned in the past that he seems to be a perfect fit for Nigeria in terms of new ideas, new generation, presentable appearance, but I'm not too sure about his leadership qualities or stamina; I think he needs more time to develop and prepare for this incredible position.

I've also noticed that his main supporters are from the southern Nigeria, I'm starting to wonder if the support from his supporters is sincere to Nigerian people in general or it's just another way for the southerners to accomplish their over due goal?

ODEKU: Well, IBB has asked to "bring it on", I guess, time will tell.

What ever is good for the right hand is also good for the left hand, For Nigeria as a country to more forward all these folks have to be prosecuted together, There is no saint in the cage.
Prosecuting just IBB will not be fruitful, it will only place our loving country to a state of cataclysm; and innocent people will suffer.

Let us be smart and be careful of what we are wishing for.

Nigerians are competent enough to make the right choice and they should be given the right to select their next president regardless of who is contesting.
Politics › Re: Nigerians Should Be Allowed To Choose Their Leader. by BigB11(op): 2:56pm On Sep 06, 2006
ODEKU: Just because we all don't have thesame views doesn't mean anybody is on IBB side, Just because I refuse to lay down and face the same direction as you doesn't mean I'm on IBB side, just because I refuse to be brainwashed by this current administration doesn't mean I'm on IBB side, just because I choose to look at things from a different angle doesn't mean I'm on IBB side.

And even if I choose to be on IBB side, it is not a crime, This is a democracy world, we all have right to choose who ever we desire.

This is one of our problems as Nigerians, we are so quick to judge one another.

After the nailing of the evil one, Mr IBB has been accomplished, what's next?

How do we move forward?

Do you think the nailing of IBB will resolve our problem in Nigeria?

Is IBB the only party to be nailed or should we be looking for the parties currently doing the nailing to be probed, investigated and exposed as well?

Is there any chance that the current overrated treatment of IBB might back fire?

ODEKU: WOW, you must be upset. I guess I hit the G spot once again.
I will not disrespect your mama or papa, I will let it go and focus on discussing political issues in Nigeria.

As Nigerians, we should try to utilize this forum effectively by sharing knowledge and discussing different point of views.
We should exhibit self respect and respect for one another at all time.
Politics › Re: Nigerians Should Be Allowed To Choose Their Leader. by BigB11(op): 6:37pm On Sep 05, 2006
MARIORY: That is a terrible question. What does that have to do with this topic.

Look it's not about IBB, it's about the stability of Nigeria as a country and security of the Nigerian people, especially the poor Nigerians.

We must start thinking ahead of time and make sure that this current political propaganda doesn't bring down Nigeria and Nigerians.

If anything goes down, you will see how quick the investors will pack their $hit and leave, you will see how quick different countries all over the world will be retrieving their citizen, you will see how the rich folks and their families will be protected and finally you will see how the poor innocent folks will pay, may be with their lives.

It is only fair and sensible to be prepared and encourage this administration to focus on how security and allow us to make our choice.

Trust me, Nigerian people are very smart in many ways and I can assure you that they are competent enough to make the right choice.
Politics › Re: Nigerians Should Be Allowed To Choose Their Leader. by BigB11(op): 5:17pm On Sep 05, 2006
Enough is enough with this IBB bashing drama. It is time for us to look forward and make sure that the 2007 Nigerian presidential election doesn't become a calamitous event.

An event that will draw our yet unstable economic and standard of living into a total devastation state.

The citizen should be given their right to select their next president.

And it is also amusing to me how quick you choose to let the world know the price of your house, your cars and all your YODI YODI investment. Don't you know that empty barrel makes the most noise?

ONO: Very good point. All these folks continue to follow bought newspaper stories.

It's time to stop rehashing, it is time to develop a long term resolution that will delete corruption in our society forever.

eg:
Life after IBB

Probe and expose every single corrupt leaders or government officials (current or ex) and so on.

All these fruitless IBB bashing are getting old and getting to be monotonous. As a matter of fact, a reliable source mentioned to me few days ago that IBB bashing is starting to back fire and might contradict it's objective.

SUPERMAN on the wheel chair: You totally missed my point, but it's all good. We all have right to believe what ever we want.

Nigerians love quick fix, short cut and figureheading. Let's look at long term resolution, life after IBB and effective strategy to rectify corruption in Nigeria for ever.
Politics › Re: How Ibb Wasted $12bn Oil Windfall – Okigbo Report by BigB11(m): 3:59pm On Sep 05, 2006
ODEKU: Your cut from the newspaper is too long. Do you know how to summarize news story?

You read the story and rewrite it in two or three sentences. This will make your topic more interesting.

If everybody is copying and pasting Vanguard newspaper stories the way you do, this site will be clogged and shot down within few months.
Politics › Re: Ibb's Hidden Treasure by BigB11(m): 3:17pm On Sep 05, 2006
IMAGEMAN: OK, let's say IBB is banned from contesting for the presidential election, what is next?

You guys continue to miss my point, Chasing and exposing IBB alone will not solve our problem, Nigeria will never never move forward by just prohibiting IBB's ambition. All these folks have to be exposed and banned all together. Create a new state, new politicians with fresh new rules and strategy.
Imaging, 99% of current governors are corrupt and more than 40% of the same group are contesting to be our next president, And all we are focusing on is IBB, what you guys are missing is the fact that new developed invisible IBB is out there and there is possibility that this invisible guy will be elected and the history will be repeated. Instead of chasing IBB around like the only hooker in town, we need to generalize our knowledge and ideas to get rid of all these old fetid for ever.

Nigerians love quick fix, short cut and figureheading, I refuse to be part of this group, If you want to repair a problem let's get it done effectively, Don't allow this current administration to paint one fruit as being bad and paint the other as perfect. All these folks are bad or dirty or what ever you wish to call it, let's kill the whole problem not just part of it.
Think of this corruption issue as being a cancer and Nigeria as a country is the entity.

This is the reason why I refuse to participate in bashing IBB, You only think IBB is the worst beast out there because he's the only one being exposed vigorously.
Just like the old folks say " you don't miss what you don't know"

And in regard to privileges of the president's kids, I rather don't touch that, it is reality and it will be forever.

Let develop new rules and regulation for the next administration or big wig government officials:
1. All the kids of all government officials should attend public Nigerian schools, You guys will see how quick the Nigerian public schools will be reformed.

2. All government officials and their families must not be flown to abroad for medical reasons, they must utilize Nigerian medical system at all time, You guys will see how quick the Nigerian medical system improves.

3. No foreign bank account for all officials, You guys will see how quick the numbers of political candidates will start to drop.

4. Any guilty corrupt officials will be executed in his or her home town, You guys will see how things will change for ever.

5. And so on

I admire long term resolution not just short term, this is why I will continue to reject IBB bashing till every corrupt officials including OBJ are probed and exposed, And new rules and regulations are implemented

ODEKU: WAKE UP, NOBODY IS HERE CALLING IBB A SAINT, MY POINT IS IBB IS NOT THE ONLY RAT IN THE BUSH. WE HAVE SEVERAL RATS, WE HAVE A GREEN ONE, A BLACK ONE, A WHITE ONE, A BROWN ONE AND SO ON, I REFUSE TO ALLOW THIS CURRENT ADMINISTRATION TO BRAINWASH ME JUST LIKE THE REST. I WILL NOT GIVE ANY CREDIT TO EFCC TILL EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE FOLKS, INCLUDING OBJ ARE PROBED, INVESTIGATED AND EXPOSED THE SAME WAY IBB IS BEING TREATED.
THAT IS THE ONLY WAY NIGERIA AS A COUNTRY COULD MOVE FORWARD EFFECTIVELY.

SO, CHILL OUT AND STOP ASKING FOR MY AGE, YOU COULD BE 40 YEARS OLD AND STILL BE A LOOSER OR A DOLT.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESPOND EITHER AND I CAN GUARANTEE YOU THAT I WILL NOT MISS YOUR BASELESS, BEER PARLOR, UNINFORMED RESPONSE.

YOU WILL DEFINITELY HEAR FROM ME IF YOU EVER MAKE ANY SENSELESS COMMENT.

Politics › Re: President Of Nigeria In 2007: Who? <Poll> by BigB11(m): 2:15am On Sep 04, 2006
EFCC has a lot of work to do, don't only track IBB's money, OBJ's money must also be tracked all the way back to 1970s.
Every single listed presidential candidate is corrupt, Don't deceive youselves, there is no clean politician or government official in Nigeria; they are all the same.
Apart from the corruption allegation, so far I still think that IBB is the most promising candidate out there, I truly admire his leadership qualities and style; my brothers and sisters IBB is not the worst out there, Something tells me that his second chance will be utilized efficiently and effectively.

Don't let the news paper and political propaganda decide for you, make your own judgment and vote for the right candidate, the candidate that will reform Nigerian much faster and restore our country back to giant of Africa.

FYI: I'm not IBB fanatic, I just refuse to see things the way they want us to see things. One has to observe things from every angle, For instance, the different between IBB and OBJ is not that much, trust me.
Politics › Nigerians Should Be Allowed To Choose Their Leader. by BigB11(op): 1:33pm On Sep 03, 2006
Democracy is a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system.

Enough is enough, the current administration should put aside their hidden agenda for the sake of Nigeria and Nigerians' future. The people, the citizen of Nigeria should be allowed to elect their next president.
The best this current administration could do for Nigerian people is to ensure that the 2007 presidential election is done peacefully, accurately and fairly, We are sick and tired of all these personal political games, games that could draw the 2007 Nigerian presidential election into a calamitous event.
It is extremely unrealistic for an harm rubber trying to implicate another harm rubber, It is also extremely important for Nigerians to realize that the current political drama in Nigeria is a rat race that can never never be fruitful.

The Fight against corruption must continue, but allow us, Nigerians to choose our next president.
Politics › Re: Ibb's Hidden Treasure by BigB11(m): 11:18pm On Sep 02, 2006
IMAGEMAN: obviously you're very upset and I feel you. But you're totally missing the point,
There are many many other idiots (as you say), that did worst than IBB and they are still chilling and travelling all over the world while your sisters and brothers are suffering, This is not new, this has been going on before IBB, At least IBB is bold enough to be asking for a second chance to redeem himself, You've got to give him credit for that.

Fact: IBB doesn't have to be the next Nigerian president to steal more money, It is just much more easier for him to steal from his Minna mansion, believe me.

IMAGEMAN, I know that you're already up and you've smelled the coffee, but now you need to chew some kolanut, so that you can see clearly.
IBB is not the only thief in Nigeria, he is just one of the million, I'm not impress till they start probing all of them, including OBJ; that is the only way Nigeria as a country can move forward.
What they are currently doing with IBB is called mind game, They are all link, don't be blind-folded. The first phone call on IBB's birthday (08/17/06) came directly from OBJ to wish him happy birthday.

Bashing just IBB will not take us anywhere, These people find it very difficult to implicate IBB because they all belong together, they are from the same tree.
Fact: Every single current governor / government official is corrupt.

How can you ask me to point out the smelly man when I still have $hit in my a$$, My Point: there is no clean animal in the cage, they are all dirty, period.

Could you please point out any African president that has a child that works hard for anything? Let's face the reality, it is part of your benefit as a president to spoil your kids or use your position to setup a pleasant future for them, Hence don't blame or hate IBB Jr, that is just the way it's done every where.

Don't waste your energy hating on IBB, he's just another Nigerian try to attain his goal.

May God bless Nigeria.
