It has been also confirmed that OBJ wants the 2007 presidential election to fail. According to the law OBJ must transfer the power to the next elected president, but he also has the power to retain the presidential position if there is any problem or election failure. (3rd term is being introduced to us indirectly). It is a shame and sad to witness how low OBJ could go to retain the power. Be smart and watch this even very closely. |
So sorry for your pain and I hope your folks rest in peace. This is one side story, I've been there before and I see it every day. One sided story with out the other is always painting the other side as the evil. You never know, the other side's story may shed some light on things that will be beneficial. It is always effective to hear directly from the other side before concluding No disrespect, but how did IBB kill these folks? Can you link him directly to this allegation? Do you have the full story behind Vasta's execution? Do you understand the military laws? Is there anybody else responsible apart from IBB? Where is IBB's VP? You don't have to forget, but if you forgive, I bet you, life in general will be much better for you. Once again, may your folks rest in peace. |
Definitely when number 1 man and number 2 man of a country are in disagreement the end results always have a major negative impact on the stability of the economy and the security; i.e the out-come is a bad news. Special attention must be paid to this current situation immediately before it's too late. Firstly, we need to establish a mentality and understand that it is not about Atiku or OBJ, it's about Nigeria as a country and Nigerian people. Secondly, together leaders need to set aside their deferences and focus on re-uniting Nigeria as a country again. And finally, the current fruitless fight against corruption must be suspended till an effective and impartial strategy is put in place. The rest should be left for GOD to sort out. Of course, there are some folks e.g ODEKU, who are basically uninformed and too simple to see this fact, but time will tell. May God bless Nigeria. |
STORY FROM VANGUARD NEWSPAPER It is Obasanjo acting as the Administrative Panel. We are in a situation therefore where the President is the accuser and the judge, and that is not allowed and you cannot make anything from that kind of report by a man who is both the accuser and the judge. Our laws do not permit that kind of thing. What is the source of the evidence used by the panel? The evidence is the report of the EFCC. And what is the EFCC? Another instrumentality of Obasanjo. The chairman is appointed by him. All the members are appointed by him. And they are responsible to him. Whatever they do he directs them. And that is why the EFCC can never tell you anything about the President. If they move against the President he would sack them. |
STORY FROM VANGUARD NEWSPAPER It will shock all of us. I hope you remember the revelation made by Governor Joshua Dariye of Plateau State that the money he was alleged to have stolen, a hundred million of it was given to the President for his election. At the time everybody said he was lying, the presidency denied. The EFCC at the time said that the money had been recovered, but without telling us who refunded it, and now it is coming out as part of the reaction by Atiku’s campaign organisation. Now the presidency itself ,because Atiku is part of the presidency is saying yes, this is true, and it is them that refunded the money. The President brought 50 million and forced Atiku to bring 50 million Naira, which he did. We knew this at the time, but they denied, now it is coming out as true that Dariye did not lie, and more of this revelation will come because what Atiku is saying here is that the Marine Float account is the campaign account for the two of them, and that it was operated jointly. Many people donated into it, and some them like Emeka Offor of Anambra state; the four hundred million that was paid into this account from the PTDF was in the same account. I am sure this is just a tip, more revelations will come. Is this doing this country any good? Where will this take us to? I am not against the fight against corruption and I will come to that. I am sure this thing can be done in a more polished way instead of ridiculing the whole nation in the eyes of the world. |
ODEKU: Here we go again with your senseless ignorant comment. If you call Atiku a disgrace to Nigerians, what will you call OBJ? No disrespect, but you sound like an uninformed individual. You have to start looking at situation broadly instead of rushing to a judgment without deep thinking. I've never met you before, but your comments remind me of a bus conductor/ beer parlor politics discussion. Trust me, a little bit of thinking will not hurt your head; Forget your frustration while you were in Nigeria, think out of the box for a change. The Atiku corruption investigation was carried out my EFCC, a group that OBJ put together. What do you think will happen if ATIKU put his own EFCC group together and have them investigate OBJ? What would the outcome of the investigation be? I've ever thought about this scenario? I keep telling you that politics in Nigeria is very dirty and deadly, you can not be simple to understand it, you've got to be bright. The entire report on Atiku and corruption conspiracy is another vindictiveness act or style of our president and it is sad that the whole world are starting to view the current Nigerian leadership style and corruption propaganda as childish, unprofessional and incompetent concept. If OBJ was a true leader, his main focus and objective should be stabilizing and uniting Nigeria as a country. Trust me, fight against corruption could be done differently and much better. The old folks says "it is nice and more effective to do the right thing at the right time" I personally view OBJ's action as doing the right thing at the wrong time. This is just not the right time; and if OBJ truly cares about Nigeria and Nigerians, the best he could have done was to set a solid foundation that will eventually disable corrupt folks and reduce corruption in our society. Trust me, this could be done systematically. The main motive behind the current fight against corruption is not for the benefit of Nigerians and one doesn't have to be a rocket scientist to figure it out. It is more or less " you kick me I kick you" game. It is also obvious that the outcome of this propaganda will not be a pleasant one and innocent/ poor Nigerians are the ones that will pay; it is sad that no one, including the president cares. Some times, a true leader has to bite the bullet and do what ever it takes to have peace in the society, but OBJ doesn't see thing this way. Moreover the strategy that is currently being used to fight corruption in Nigeria could have been a little bit more polished. FYI: It has been confirmed that FBI or USA doesn't have any interest in being used by OBJ administration to discredit his opponents; they've also cleared Atiku again and would like to concentrate on investigating the American congress man instead of being dragged into a foreseen major disaster. My advise for Atiku is to fight OBJ fire for fire. And people don't misunderstand my view on things; afterall this is OBJ and Atiku fighting, not Wole Shoyinka and Atiku. I'm not calling anyone a saint, but it time to wake up and disengage ourselves from this senseless selfish act of the current administration and look ahead for the future and stability of Nigeria before and after the 2007 election. Save the rest of the story for another topic. List what ever rules or regulations that will improve standard of living in Nigeria. |
ODEKU: Back to the subject. Read the topic again. Let's focus on listing new rules and regulations for the new regime. |
ODEKU: It is sad that you did not get the logic, as usual. The main goal of these rules and regulations is to bring back hope to ordinary Nigerians; and I believe this could be done by playing the politicians with their own games. Implementing vicious laws to protect Nigeria and Nigerians will definitely send a message to the bad fruits. Think about it. |
I think it is fair and pleasant for everyone of us to have one or two input in moving our loving country forward: The following are my personal recommendation: Rules and Regulations 1. All the kids of every top government official must attend Nigerian public schools. I believe this policy will motivate these top officials (president, VP, governor e.t.c) to contribute vigorously toward the development of higher education standard in Nigeria. 2. All government officials and their families must always use Nigerian medical system i.e they are all restricted from seeking for medical treatment or checkup in another country. I believe this will improve the Nigerian medical standard. Afterall, we have excellent medical professionals, but lacking resources. The resource that we are lacking will be visible or available as soon as this policy is implemented. 3. Any government official guilty of corruption must be publicly executed in his or her home town. This policy will definitely reduce the number of political candidates who are up to no good; it will weed out the political opportunist from the serious and sincerely ones. 4. The ownership of all assets of top government officials that weren't disclosed before the dead line must be replaced as Federal Government properties; and the position of the individual will also be replaced or reduced. Please feel free to add your recommendation; you just never know who is reading or judge the affect and power of your recommendation. |
You think so? |
What-ever makes you sleep well at night! |
GIF me a break, I'm not buying it. It's all part of the game. Tell EFCC that what-ever they're looking for is inside the pocket of the trouser they are wearing. |
Hey MARIORY: It's too late to teach an old donkey new tricks, use your common sense. |
ANSTEL: I truly feel you and I understand where you're coming from; believe it or not we are all here wanting the best for Nigeria. First, yes nobody is perfect, IBB has made several mistakes just like anyone of us, but something tells me that this time around IBB is for real. I see a better Nigeria; even most top leaders or top government officials know this as well. Trust me, he knows he has done us wrong in the past and he's determined to correct every single mistake and reform our loving country. At this point I believe he's the only one that knows and has an effective strategy or tool to reform Nigeria expeditiously. Don't be brainwashed by others, politician will always be politician; they all have stories. This time around, I do not see IBB as a politician; I see him as a sinner who craves the opportunity to repent. And the only way to do this is by reforming and taking Nigeria as a country to the next level. I see Nigeria as THE GIANT OF AFRICA once again. It will be sad for Nigeria as a country to miss out. Let's allow him to redeem himself. Apart from corruption issue, IBB is much better at every level than OBJ or the rest of the clowns. He is very strong and if you get to know him, you will quickly realize that he's kind, sincere and has a magnificent positive drive, Don't believe what you hear from haters, he's totally opposite. Just like old folks say "if you look for dirt you will find many" If EFCC investigates any of the past or present leader, they will definitely find many many mistakes. Enough with the childish game, a game that could diminish the value, quality and standard of our yet unstable economy. Do you believe that many investors currently in Nigeria are getting ready for 2007. This game has to end for the sake of ordinary Nigerians. ODEKU: As per your comment "all joke aside" Very soon IBB will come out and clarify things. Trust me, he's a true leader and he's not scared to admit his past mistakes. He's skillful and a powerful motivator. All Joke aside, He's not a saint, but he's my man and I hope he comes out quickly to clarify things. Remember, a better Nigeria is ahead. |
MARIORY: Are you from this planet? |
OBJ should go home period, he's the true meaning of greedy, selfish, vindictive, childish, unprofessional, corruption and so on. I give credit to Atiku for keeping it cool and hanging in there for all these months with this ungrateful, vindictive, unprofessional, bad example leader. There is nothing Atiku has done that OBJ hasn't done 20 times. Check the record and face the fact. |
ODEKU: You just wait and see. The ceremony hasn't started yet, but very soon it's going down. Stop wasting your energy hating on IBB, he's not going anywhere but ASO ROCK. Just wait and see. OBJ doesn't have the leadership skill, integrity, quality, style and simply just not capable to mess with these guys, Noise will be made, dust will be rubbled, but at the end of the day nothing will be accomplished, I hope you will be coming back home to celebrate the electing of our new president in Abuja 2007, I will be at the airport to help you with your luggages for a fee (do you remember your idiocy comment?) By the way, I'm in town till Sunday, let me know if you wish to hook up. |
CELEMEL: Typical okiribo Nigerian, no break no jam; just crush to a judgment. Believe me, you need to calm down. |
CELEMEL: Calm down. It's just a discussion; it's not that serious. I'm in a very good mood today, hence I will disregard your idiocy insulting comment. Back to the discussion: I've expressed several times how much I admire and respect Mr Duke, I just need more than what have been displayed my his supporters to buy what he's selling. Period. I don't see any crime in asking for more information regarding the position of an individual, it is very simple, just present your premise. And by the way, if you pay attention to all my comments you will realize that they are all mere assumption. |
Definitely REVENGE, "there is no clean animal in the cage, they are all dirty" This action is not about Nigeria, it's about OBJ's personal project (VINDICTIVENESS). I truly wish it wasn't, but it is what is it. I hope this will not affective the economy reform process of our loving motherland. May God bless Nigeria. |
I think the assumption of the idea is bright. Is it going to take place? Only God knows. But for the sake of peace and the progressive of Nigeria, this is an action that needs to take place. Enough is enough. Off the RECORD ODEKU, for real, are you a female, because I'm starting to suspect that you want some of this You are just determined to be against anything that I recommend. What's up with that? I'm currently in DC, let me know, may be we can do something about this obsessional act of yours. |
I'm starting to think that most of Mr Duke's supporters are not supporting him for the sake of better Nigeria, but only for the sake of attaining an over due objective of the southerners. And that is totally wrong. |
Mr Seeker or Ms Seeker: People did not fall in love or vote for Clinton based on his accomplishment as a governor. Double the record. |
The Senators believe the two men should be forced out by March 2007 to allow the President of the Senate to take over the leadership of the country and provide a level playing ground for the 2007 elections. This is absolutely an effective move; it seems that someone is finally reading my mind and reading my comments. Both parties are dirty. It will be unfair and fruitless effort to allow one thief to implicate the other thief just because he has the upper hand at the moment. Nigeria will move forward as soon as Nigerians in general understand that the latest political and corruption drama is a personal OBJ's project. What is good for the right hand is also good for the left hand, Both parties should be impeached and make way for a peaceful and successful election event, for the sake of ordinary Nigerians. |
Correction: No disrespect to Mr Duke, we need more than Cross Rivers accomplishment. |
Rubbish, not a good point at all, If you guys are going to use Shagari's standard to judge Mr Duke, then you're definitely facing the wrong direction. The down fall of Nigeria started during Shagari's mismanaged regime. You need to check the record, Shagari's regime is definitely not a pleasant example to follow. Moreover, it doesn't matter if Cross Rivers state is as clean and beautiful as Paris, We need to see more than that, this is not electing a class captain, this electing Nigerian president. Special attention needs to be paid to the leadership skill, experience, ethic and stamina. If these steps were taking were taken sincerely and vigorously, the Nigeria of today would have been better. You need to read an example I've given regarding President Bush and Texas. No disrespect to Mr Duke, we need more cross rivers accomplishment. |
Not correct, my man. Nigerian unemployment rate and level is not normal, it's a disease that doesn't have to exist to that current magnitude. THINK ! |
Common sense |
Charlo: Very impressive gesture. Excellent, A great indication to move forward. You should also simplify your thought or comment by identifying what to look for, strategy that needs to be implemented to improve poverty and unemployment in Nigeria. Let's keep it real: For instance, I believe that Nigeria as a country has completely stopped educating the new generations for over 14 years ago, BA, MBA and so on are now nothing but diluted titles. What can we do to upgrade the levels and empower the strength of these degrees once again instead of our companies giving away all the top opportunities to the expatriates Bad leaders = Bad economy = Diluted degrees = Unemployment = Poverty = Bad leaders = Bad economy = diluted degrees = unemployment = Poverty, and on and on in a circle. |
ONO: come on now, when it comes to news media, it is not about the entity itself, it's about what is going on, what is hot, what is cooking and what people want to hear or read. Don't misunderstand my point, IBB may be a vicious leader or human being, but we have to be careful not to be brainwashed by bought news paper stories. |
There is possibility that EFCC will remain, but their policy will be restructured. Instead of making EFCC a one man show, it will be re-implemented as an entity that embraces equality and respects human rights. They've been lucky so far, no one has lost their life during any of their operation, I can guarantee you that one mistake and it's over. |
